random thought: it would be rlly interesting if tigerclaw was the sibling of Redtail and Spottedleaf. It would probably ROYALLY mess up the family trees (I don’t know enough about them to know how) but him justifying their deaths would be really interesting

Sorry anon, can't do that one!! I actually specifically un-fucked the family tree so that they'd stop being so related. Canon randomly retconned, YEARS later, that Spottedleaf and Redtail were HIS AUNCLES in Spottedleaf's Heart!! Younger siblings of Leopardfoot!

AWFUL decision because Spottedleaf and Tigerclaw are flirting in the first book of TPB and they just forgot that 💀

They actually retconned in that like all of ThunderClan comes from Adderfang x Swiftbreeze, or Robinwing x Fuzzypelt, and those two couples smashed the kneecaps of canon's genetic diversity.

SO; in the Bonefall Rewrite, I blew them up with dynamite. I've made some changes since this point, but here's the previous draft of my ThunderClan family tree.

(Next draft changes: One-eye is going to become the grandparent of Mousefur and Runningwind. Patchpelt is getting woman-beamed to become the mother of Willowpelt. Speckletail is orphaned again, pending shuffles)

BUT ANYWAY; back to THIS ask.

I fixed in a way as to preserve the original canon, where Spottedleaf and Tigerclaw are canonically flirting, not the uncomfortable retcon of a years-younger book I do not respect.

Spottedleaf and Redtail are now the children of Rosetail! Their father is unknown but DEFINITELY not a Clan cat. Rosetail wanted 0% chance of the sire ever being involved. Their uncle Thistleclaw does not like this, seeing them as halfclan, but he can't do shit about it because Bluestar and her deputy Thrushpelt are in power.

Spotty was a really good friend of Tigerclaw's growing up, they even had a mutual crush. It broke Tiger's heart when she realized her calling was medicine, but they remained close.

When Tigerclaw's mom died of a horrible plague, less than a year before Firepaw joined ThunderClan, Spotty was actually there to help him with his grief. Her death in that raid was one of the hardest "things that happened," but Tigerclaw is willing to sacrifice anything for power.

In this AU, when Doestar tells Pinestar to Shrek his son, he freaks out - but instead of fleeing, he goes to Featherwhisker, begging for help. Featherwhisker, equally freaked out, takes him to the Moonstone to demand answers. Thunderstar himself shows up, oh hey my guys what’s up?…….what do you mean Doestar told you to delete a kit?!?!? OY DOESTAR?!?! WHY ARE YOU RUNNING?!?!?? Doestar is held down by a host of Thunderclan spirits, including a few kits on her heels, and is forced to talk. She foresaw Tigerkit changing the clans permanently, in a way she refused to permit. She is thrown from Starclan after a scolding of epic proportions - change is part of life you ignoramus!!! - and Pinestar leaves with a new confidence. He and Leopardfoot have a Mature Conversation, and while they break up, they remain amicable. When Tigerkit becomes Tigerpaw, his mentor is Blueheart. Thistleclaw has a short romance with Snowfur, but his temper breaks them up. Snowfur survives being hit by the monster, losing an eye and a hind leg being crumpled, but with the support of her sister and a shy Thrushpelt, she recovers and thrives. Doestar had lured Thistleclaw to the Dark Forest, to have him strike at Pinestar, however…

Blueheart and Tigerpaw were on patrol when they heard a kit screaming. They found Thistleclaw holding down a tiny kit, already bleeding. Blueheart tackles Thistleclaw, and Tigerpaw carries the injured kitten back to camp. A few warriors and Pinestar bolt to help Blueheart, and Whitepaw helps the kitten - my name is Tiny and I’m a boy - to Featherwhisker. Thistleclaw is banished, later being killed by Riverclan warriors. The three youngsters bond quickly - Whitepaw suggesting Frostkit as a new better name - and as they grow, they fall for each other. Frostfang has two litters, and after the ordeal of the enormous Tadpolekit, says no more. When Tulipblossom becomes a medicine cat but still wants a family, the three fight for and succeed in changing the medicine cat rules. Doestar was right - Tigerheart changed the clan - but not alone.

Snowfur died and Thistleclaw was heartbroken and even more driven to be leader. He befriends Spottedkit, who takes to him like another father figure

Pinestar, feeling like he could do more for his family, hunted more and more to feed Leopardfoot and his kits. Mistkit and Nightkit thrived on the extra food and survived.

His final act as leader was to name Tigerpaw, Mistpaw and Nightpaw apprentices and tell them that he loved them very much but unfortunately could not stay because he could not live a Clan life any more. He surrenders his nine lives at the Moonstone, causing Sunstar to get a full nine.

Spottedkit is encouraged to be a medicine cat apprentice and he manipulates her into faking signs from StarClan for him to be deputy

Thistleclaw is named deputy because of the false sign

Bluefur keeps her kits and raises them with Thrushpelt, who she befriends

Tigerpaw mistrusts kittypets because of that, yet refuses to hurt Tiny because he was small and reminded him of Nightpaw. Thistleclaw finishes the job by breaking Tiny’s neck

Quince finds out Tiny is dead and swears vengeance on the forest, renaming herself Queen to be queen of the Twolegplace cats.

Bluefur is enraged and horrified, and asks Sunstar to exile him. Sunstar does, Bluefur is named deputy and assigned as Tigerpaw’s new mentor

Spottedpaw is quietly seething on her own because she is mislead into believing that Thistleclaw, her kind father, could not kill a kit. Out of the misunderstanding, she plans to undermine Sunstar.

As a result of Bluefur’s firm guidance Tigerpaw grows ambitious but kind to those in need, and not to mention patient. He is close with Redpaw, Spottedpaw’s Changeheart (trans) brother.

In the seasons that follow, Sunstar dies and leaves Bluestar as leader. She names Redtail deputy. Redtail has two kits with Tigerclaw, Firekit and Sandkit. Due to deputy duties Redtail asks Tigerclaw to take care of them, but the two kits love both of their dads very much.

Tigerclaw becomes a nursery queen and decides he likes this life. This intimidating tom is surrounded by little bouncy babies all day and is very happy.

Spottedleaf gets the Fire Alone prophecy but does not tell Bluestar

Firekit grows up and is named Firepaw along with Sandpaw and Greypaw.

Redtail dies in the Sunningrocks battle by the rock fall, trying to save Oakheart’s life (not killed by Tigerclaw.) He is unsuccessful, though, and Oakheart goes to StarClan as well.

Firepaw, Sandpaw and Dustpaw are very sad. Sandpaw and Dustpaw bond closer with the grief, while Firepaw feels as if he’s drifting away from his sister.

Thrushpelt, an elderly cat but Bluestar’s most trusted friend, is named deputy.

A random headcanon: always encouraged good relationships w the other clans bc the fight against windclan that killed her mom turned her off to using violence as a first resort, which ended up making her a stronger leader and a good example to firestar, mostly. except for like, keeping brokentail instead of just killing him. that was stupid

okay can we just take a moment to appreciate what a bi icon she is??? I’m really in love with the idea of Bluestar being bisexual. Her girlfriends? Rosetail, and Leopardfoot >:)) And the there is her husband Oakheart. Please don’t hate me, but I really hate the idea of Thrushpelt x Bluefur. She really didn’t like him while he just chased after her. Also there wasn’t much interaction between them, aside from someone mentioning how much he liked her. I’ve also heard the idea of Bluestar x Crookedstar and that’s ehhhh. Sure they were friends and all but I just don’t see it happening. Also Oakheart and her was really rushed. But I’ve always found Bluefur x Rosetail a really cute ordeal. They were always friends and I enjoy the aus of them together. So I thought I might list mine of them! 

Rosetail Au ( this is kind of sad I’m sorry. Also I changed the timing a lil bit so it flows better. ): 

Rosekit hates being stuck in the nursery and often begs Bluekit to play mossball with her. It’s all fine and dandy, they spend time together and both she-kits enjoy it. When Bluekit is renamed Bluepaw, Rosekit feels prideful of her friend and bugs her about training Rosekit in secret. Bluepaw refuses but is admirable of Rosekit’s spunky attitude. Rosekit is renamed Rosepaw and during her apprentice ceremony, Bluepaw calls her name the loudest. Rosepaw is more than happy to be able to train with Bluepaw and they go on hunting patrols together. Then freaking Moonflower dies and Bluepaw is depressed. But fluffy babie Rosepaw is there to comfort her! So all that other stuff is normal and they’re both warriors now. Rosetail knows she has feelings for Bluefur but says nothing. She teases the she-cat about how Thrushpelt admires her but deep down, it hurts Rosetail and she tries to mask it. So when Bluefur is pregnant, Rosetail is completely devastated. But she acts happy for her friend because she thinks Bluefur deserves the best. Rosetail thinks Thrushpelt is the father and bitterly congratulates him. The kits are born and Rosetail is in love with them, caring for them like her own. When they’re “ taken away by a hungry animal “ she is as broken as Bluefur. So her best course of action? Supporting her girlfriend no matter what. Their love is unrequited but Bluestar shared those feelings back all along. And Rosetail died believing she could never have Bluestar. So instead Bluestar of choosing Oakheart in Starclan, she chooses Rosetail instead :D yey 

Leopardfoot headcanon: 

Aight bros, bare with me. This was just an explanation as to why Bluestar didn’t exile Tigerclaw sooner. She was head over heels for Leopardfoot. They’d always been friends and I think she might have caught some feelings for her. Bluestar didn’t want to believe that the son of her crush was a monster. Kinda short but it’s self explanatory.

Sure, lemmie blitz through everything off the top of my head--

(I might miss something because my actual computer is broken, I don't have my whole blog loaded up in another tab like I usually do)

Pre-TPB stuff:

AdderSwift and FuzzyRobin NERF. Most of their children are split up to other cats.

AdderSwift's only kids are Leopardfoot and Patchpelt

FuzzyRobin's only (surviving) kids are Dustpelt and Ravenpaw

One-eye is a lot older and has Halftail in the oldest litter and Brindleface in a younger; Mousefur and Runningwind are her grandchildren. She is very old.

Dappletail and Thrushpelt are the children of Rainfur and Tawnyspots

Frostfur was raised by gay grandpaws, Weedwhisker and Stonepelt. She is the secret child of Featherwhisker.

Rosetail is the mother of Spottedleaf and Redtail

THERE WAS A BIG PLAGUE SIX MONTHS BEFORE TPB. A LOT OF CATS DIED.

TPB Shuffles:

Redtail and Runningwind are the parents of Sandstorm and Longtail

Willowpelt is the daughter of Patchpelt, she only has one litter and it's with Whitestorm; Sorreltail, Sootfur, Rainwhisker.

Brindleface has Ferncloud and Elderberry in the oldest litter; Ashfur in a second just before she is murdered. Fern, Elder, and One-eye raise him.

Cloudtail is considered Firestar's son by Clan society. Cloudtail sees him more like an uncle/mentor.

Cinderpelt and Brackenfur are older than their siblings, Thornclaw and Brightheart.

Dappletail is the mother of Darkstripe and Cricketclaw in the first litter, Graystripe and Featherkit in the second.

Swiftpaw was the oldest son of Tigerclaw and Goldenflower, and first cousins with the Frostfour

Firestar and Sandstorm are queerplatonic, the twins are an honor-siring with coparenting. Firestar is aromantic.

Post-TPB:

THE FOLLOWING CATS ARE AXXED: Snowbush, Ambermoon, Leafshade, Honeyfur, Eaglewing. If these cats appear in the Bonefall Rewrite they will be shuffled elsewhere.

Firestar's lineage is tracked through The Three; Fully Clanborn Firekin.

Dovewing and Ivypool were born of Jayfeather and Poppyfrost, adopted by Cinderheart and Lionblaze

Spotfur and Duststripe (Prev. Sorrelstripe) are Birchfall x Whitewing kits as a trade.

Duststripe is not mates with Dewnose; Bayshine and Myrtlebloom are honor sired.

Cinderheart later becomes mates with Hollyleaf, now called Fallenleaf after Time Travel Shennanigans, and has a litter of Hollylark, Snaptooth, and Flywhisker.

They go wandering together after their kits are grown just before TBC

Fernsong is not Firekin, he is a kittypet who joins with Jessy and Stormcloud. His name was Fiddles, which he insisted was a type of fern.

Ferncloud, who did not die, thinks this is cute. Dustpelt died. Sorreltail is also here.

Jessy is the mother of Alderheart and Sparkpelt; Squirrelflight does not get back with Bramblestar after his behavior in OotS. He disowned the Three and they have never forgiven him for it.

Jessy leaves just before AVoS after improving Briarlight's mobility device to the point of independence.

Thornclaw has no children and he also dies in the Great Battle; Blossomfall's kittens were honor-sired.

Seedpaw and Lilyheart were FerncloudxDustpelt children; Brackenfur dies in Po3.

Toadstep died in the Great Battle; Spiderleg does not die of Offscreen Greencough.

Hazeltail does not die of Offscreen Greencough. She is both alive and transgender.

Rosepetal does not die in TBC. Cherryfall does instead.

Nightheart is the child of Hollylark and Sparkpelt. He is Firekin through his dead parent.

I've seen Leopardfoot x Thrushpelt floating around a bit. I think it'd be interesting to see these two interact and sort of be the good fun-loving parents.
