Sur le pont d'Avignon...Punkt 10 sind wir am Ticketoffice, geben an der Gepäckkontrolle brav unsere Taschenmesser ab und haben die Brücke für uns allein. Niemand da. Unglaublich.

Das Alleinsein UND die Brücke.

14. Jahrhundert...was konnten die Leute arbeiten. Wir lernen eingestürzt ist die Brücke nicht etwa wegen Unfähigkeit der Baumeister, sondern wegen der kleinen Eiszeit im 15.Jahrhundert. Es gab soviel Regen und Eisschollen, dass der Fluss einfach alles weggebürstet hat.

Hinter Montpellier reißt der Himmel auf. Pyrenäen, Schnee, Mittelmeer, blau-weißer Himmel, so hatten wir uns das vorgestellt.

Im Ebro-Delta schließlich geht grad die Sonne unter, also schnell die Rucksäcke in die Herberge und ab an den Fluss.

Vogelschreie, Gänse am Himmel, der glühende Himmel im Wasser....

Wir bleiben erstmal hier.

Nahe des Fährhafens in Brajnslaekur ein empfehlenswertes Bad in Birkimelur, auch als "Krosslaug" bezeichnet, sehr sauber, kostet p P. 1700 ISK / 11 EUR in bar, ist es aber absolut wert. Es gibt Umkleidekabine mit Föhn!

Dann heisst es Abschied nehmen. Mit der MS Baldur fahren wir über den Breiđafjorđur zur Halbinsel Snaefellsnes.

Die Fähre versorgt auch die Insel Flatney - mit allem was man so braucht.

In Stykkisholmur angekommen füllen wir erst mal wieder unsere Vorräte auf.

Do we have to go through Ticketmaster? I don’t remember what I used last time but is buying tickets on places like ticketoffices smart?

This is a good question for resident ticket expert @cuethetommo lol. I think Ticketmaster and AmEx are the only presale options. And I’m a bit wary of third party sites, but that’s just me. Thankfully you have a couple days to prepare! I’d follow Liz for the best information.
