not to be like this but all of the posts (and there are many across multiple platforms) right now going "I mean obviously I'm not mad or whining or anything but it sucks that there's all these three week breaks, how am I going to survive, this is awful, I cannot believe this is happening to me" like, it does in fact come off as entitled no matter how many qualifiers are put onto it

and the a smaller subset of THAT going "CLEARLY C3 isn't a priority for the studio" or "they're obviously trying to kill C3" or even posting stuff that comes off as "um, don't they know that if they keep doing this I won't shop here watch anymore", like, come on

as a tangent, genuinely, I feel like a lot of people have trouble admitting that they don't actually like C3 so they get existentially worried about them losing interest over a slightly longer break because it'll force them to acknowledge that they aren't actually interested, but it's fine not to be interested!

#I will not be engaging with any asks or replies about this #yes I AM cranky in general in life today so that cranky tone is not imagined #like frankly I'm not *as* invested in C3 as I am C2 but like I AM interested in it so the break isn't killing me or my interest so it's ?#like come on I've waited longer for cable television shows. Novels.#Why are we all having hyperbolic breakdown posts over three weeks. “Holy shit,” Todd said, hearing Dirk come in through the door he’d left propped open. “Did you know we can see the Washington Monument from here?”

Dirk joined him at the window and wrapped an arm around his middle from behind. He was suddenly feeling a bit clingy, like he was going to need to front load all the cuddles he could get, which was abjectly ridiculous. Todd had never shied away from that, if anything it was Dirk who’d been jumpy lately about tender little moments like this. Still, Dirk couldn’t shake the feeling that he’d be wanting more of this later but might not be able to get it. He hooked his chin over Todd’s shoulder and squinted out the window, not sure what Todd was referring to.

“The bloke on the penny’s house?” he asked, not seeing it. “I don’t think he lives in DC anymore, Todd.”

“What?” Todd asked, pulling back a little to look at him before pointing at a large lit-up obelisk surrounded by illuminated American flags. “No, that. I’ve only ever seen it in movies, National Treasure didn’t prepare me for the real thing.”

“Ohhh,” Dirk said, comprehension dawning as he held Todd close to his front. “You mean the giant pencil statue.”

“The giant—Dirk, that’s the Washington Monument. As in George Washington? It doesn’t even look like a pencil.”

“Doesn’t look much like George Washington either,” Dirk mused, and whatever retort Todd had been about to fire back was interrupted by the sharp trill of Dirk’s phone.

this is so funny to me actually bcuz this is 100% how i talk abt my characters ages. i know what YEAR they were born and i know what rheir ages are supposed to be at the start of the story but i dont actually know when it takes place?? im really bad at math. There was a moment where rainbow was supposed to be 23 and i somehow accidentally made her 17 lmfao

#theoretically it would take place in 2021 bcuz thats when i created my object ocs but the more time passes #the weirder it feels to have it take place years in the past #i considered moving up their birthdays by a few years but like. idk i like their birthdays theyre cute :3 #bubblegum is SUPPOSED TO BE 15 and she was born july 2007 #watermelon is supposed to be 7 and he was born june 2014 #etc etc #starr is 27 and she was born september uhhh 1995 or 1997 i actually dont remember. whichever one makes sense #also that would mean building block was born in 2020 and since she's always gonna be a baby the furhter away we get #it means that she wouldnt have even been born when the story is actually supposed to take place. Like #i know their birthdays and their ages and what year they were born everybody else has to do the math #to figure out wtf is going on because I DONT KNOW #also that means that building block would be a pandemic baby lmao 😭#what was rhe vibe in nigeria in august 2020 during the pandemic. well i say that like it even happened in their universe #which there really isnt any reason for that to be true #it isnt historically important to mention like..... world war two or slavery or whatever. fucking obviously. in the context of objects #it gets messy so its better to just Not #also the months the characters were born really fuck me up bcuz jayden was born in late december #so for most of the first year that they met he would be.... younger than he actually is being born in 2003 #but since building's block birthday and exact age is the most important timeline-wise #and she was born august 14th 2020 and she's seven months old when they first meet #then it canonically would take place in march 2021 which was my original intention #bcuz that is the actual date that i first created my object ocs #ANYWAY. boring character age ramblings #but its hard to keep track of so i dont even blame the author!!!! birthdays are weird and hard to keep up w/#when you dont know exactly when your story is supposed to take place #assuming its in a normal-ish world im sure fantasy ocs dont have this problem #txt #object ocs

If I had a nickel for every time I decided to buy a popular indie game title years after the game first came out, that I avoided for no particular reason, and then became obsessed with the game now understanding why it was so popular in the first place,

I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.

#i think the last time was the summer of 2021 IIRC 0_0 i placed my Tools in some small shelf in the bath room (intentional distinction)#never saw them again... they probably rusted with the humidity anyway Not that that would have stopped me #went to see how much the thing of razors i stole from some guy's office & they were THIRTY TWO dh. like 3 dollars !!!! that is insanity #but anyway also there is the dilemma of self harm being cringe after a certain age ( if it is not for a performance that is ) ...#however i never did that when i was sad it just felt like a good Release sort of like bloodletting [lite...-er version]#whenever i felt a big emotion like fear disgust ( especially disgust ) i just released it out & it warmed me up it felt good #if music was being played it was nice guys finish last or accidentally in love nothing emo because i was never sad i was having a ball #anyway ever since then everytime december rolls around i think of that one post “Destroy Wrist December”#& i think maybe this time... not yet so far. i am ♯Clean as they say
