the dyowa is undergoing work-related problems, and although he won't go into the nitty gritty details, i know it's big and it's causing him sleepless nights.

the day i arrived from the shopping trip, I went to see him under the pretense that I wantred to eat out mabuti naman he was game and we had dinner.

now, he is someone who would never ask me for things. even with his parents, he would never solicit because all his life, he worked for the things he wanted.

"mahal naman dito" argues the guy.

"order anything. we have money"

"walang budget meal dito"

i called the attendant and ordered crispy pata, kare-kare, lumpiang sariwa and tinapa rice.

"hindi mahal dito, trust me" and even if it's expensive, I do not mind splurging on the people I love the most. because taking care of them is my skillset and my greatest joy.

so we had a quiet dinner despite the engulfing noise with the restaurant. there were two birthday celebrations, couples on post-valentine dates and me, catering to him.

after dinner, we went to our friend's coffee shop for drinks, a small business we always support. Settled for a night cap, Paeng made me a cocktail, an off the menu treat, while the dyowa had iced coffee.

Paeng and Tina are family to us. we our college friends, worked in the same company before, belonged to the same bike group and have been each other's support.

"kwento mo sa amin yung problem mo" asked Tina as we all sat to listen to what the dyowa has to say. and narrate he did and we listened without judging, not even an unsolicited advise was uttered except a few suggestions on how to go about this situation.

a little before midnight, feeling tired, we decided to go home.

"nandito lang kami ha, support mo kami" assures Paeng as we walked to our vehicles. the dyowa was happy because the morale boost that he was looking for in his blood family, he found in us, strangers he met that became his other family.

i tapped his window and when he lowered the pane, I reminded that we (him and I) are on this together. I caressed his cheeks and kissed him goodnight as we both parted ways, home.

A DECADE AND NINE YEARS OF JOURNEY

My life started when my mother was rushed to the hospital. At the hospital, I immediately came out of her womb due to my excitement to begin my journey in this world. I was born at 10:22 in the evening of July 3, 2004. At birth, I weighed 3,300 grams. I had dark brown eyes and no hair.I have five sisters, and I am the fourth one. By the time I was 11 months old, I had learned how to walk. I don't actually remember my first birthday, but I remember my third birthday. It was so special to me that day. I can still remember when my father bought me my first bicycle and my favorite food of all time, and it was palabok. Ever since my father bought me a bike, I've always been thrilled to go to the basketball court, and there I practice biking with my father. When I was 4 years old, I learned how to bike with two wheels. 

During my middle childhood, my life was full of wonder, imagination, and traveling. Every summer, we used to visit my lola house. I'm always thrilled to see my lola aunties, uncles, and cousins and eat delicacies like laing, bicol express, tinapa, pancit bato, and kinalas; however, my extremely favorite is laing and bicol express, especially more spicy. As far as I can recall, me and my cousin always play in the backyard and climb trees to get mangoes, but my cousin climbed these pili nuts, coconuts, and Spondia purpurea (sininguela) trees because I can't climb very high trees. We used to fetch the ducks and pegions, feed the chickens, and clean the stinky cages of the pigs. At the back of the house of my lola, there is a huge rice plantation, and I always like to go there because I can see the splendid view of Mayon volcano, and there I can smell the cleanest air far away from all those pollutions. At that time, even when the sun is out and so hot, I always want to go out there and chill by the beautiful view. It was my ultimate favorite place to hang out with me and my cousins, and there we would harvest the rice plant and put it in a sack of rice, and we would sell it and earn money. I have always been an adventurous, curious, naughty, rascal,and no-bounds girl. Every time we have to go back home,I cry and hide. I always wish summer would never end.

In my teenage years, I've become interested in more adventure stuff. This time, I learned how to drive a motorcycle and got into more accidents. I also learned the basics of skateboarding, which is why I have a lot of scars, especially on my knees. In my teenage years, I also learned how to swim. On my 18th birthday, I learned how to dive and fell in love with cliff diving. I had two best friends who were in my neighborhood. We promise each other to be together forever. They are my childhood best friends.We always used to play Chinese garter, catch ball, patintero,hide and seek,biking on the side of the road, playing computer games, and lots of fun stuff. We used to buy and eat barbecue, ice candy, and ice cream, and buy junk food and soft drinks in the other store; even though we do have a store,it's just that my father will not allow me to eat unhealthy food. We used to hang out in Cafe Namo, SM, and other places. Somehow, the longer our friendships became, the more toxic they became. At the end of the year 2021, December 31, it was night, and suddenly I was contemplating whether I would fix our friendships or end them. I'm an idiot who is terrified to have a conversation with them, which is why my only option is to Gost them. I know it's wrong, painful, and cowardly of me, but I must do it. For a profound reason, in the year 2024, we bumped into each other. And it was totally awkward. She smiled at me, and I smiled back. And she asked me, How are you? I responded, I'm good, and she responded, Oh, that's nice to hear. She actually asked me if I wanted something since we bumped into the store. I said no, thanks. She says okay, and then we go both ways.

I am almost in adulthood. A variety of emotions and experiences define this crucial chapter of my life. I discover valuable life lessons and grow in self-discovery. I am so grateful and proud of myself, despite all the changes and highs and lows I encounter along the journey of my life. And yet here I am, still not giving up. Each day of my life, I'm getting more courageous, resilient, persistent, and determined. And I am always encouraging myself to be open to every opportunity and to never stop learning. As well as never losing hope in the dreams I'm still striving for. Because I know I can be more, I can travel to the places where I want to be, and that's 195 countries. I want to try a variety of foods and cultures in every place I go. I want to try new and adventurous things, like exploring caves, surfing in Siargao,skydiving, scubadiving, riding a hot air balloon in Cappadocia, shark cage diving, swimming with dolphins, going to the Amazon River, where I want to see a real piranha, hiking to Machu Picchu, or going to the Van Gogh Museum. And so on. That is why I need to be wise in terms of how I spend my money, learn to roll the money, and work hard to achieve this bucket list of mine. Lastly, my ultimate goal is to build my parents house near nature. I know this can all be unrealistic, but hey, we never know what our lives are going to be. Because if we did not have all these dreams and goals in our lives, we would be all missirable and lost in life.

Bukod dito sa kausap ko na gusto ng extended hours pero ayaw magbayad ng extra, may kamag-anak kami na nagtanong ng rates namin so binigay ko yung current rates namin (mind you, naka-rainy season rates kami). Binanggit ko yung additional charge pag lumampas sa sleeping capacity yung number of guests, pati yung maximum number of persons allowed. Eh nagtatanong pano daw kung unlimited yung number ng fersons na papasok. Anak ng tinapa hahaha. Kaya may limit ang bilang ng tao na pwede i-accommodate kasi pag lumampas sa capacity yung lalangoy sa pool sobrang lalabo yung pool. Mas madaming tao mas mabilis lumabo yung pool, mas matagal palinawin, mas ma-ooverwork yung filter, mas madaming chlorine ang magagamit sa paglinis. Mapapamahal kami sa maintenance kasi hahabulin yung pag-filter at chlorinate, tapos di pa kami makakakuha ng guests the next day kasi malabo pa yung tubig. Pero syempre di nila iintindihin yung paliwanag mo at iisipin lang nila yung gusto nilang isipin. Ang hirap mag-explain kasi pag ang haba ng paliwanag mo nawawalan sila ng interes tapos masasabihan ka pa na ang damot mo. Kaya pinaka-ayoko makipag-transact sa mga kamag-anak sa true lang.

Bakit nga ba masarap ang munggo kapag biyernes? 

Naaalala ko nung bata ako, nagtataka talaga ako bakit tuwing biyernes lang nagluluto ng munggo nanay ko. madalas ang kapares nito yung tinapa at tokwa o kaya naman kapag nakakaluwag, fried tilapia with toyomansi and toasted chili garlic na sawsawan.(sosyal) Biro ng tatay ko kaya daw biyernes lang ang munggo para kapag inatake ka daw ng arthritis, makakapag pahinga ka ng sabado at linggo. nakakatawa lang pag naaalala ko kasi nakakarelate na ata ko ngayon. hello, uric acid!  munggo now, rayuma later!

What if everything that is being said could be found in a certain place? Would you believe?

You don't have to travel a long distance to come across a pleasant atmosphere and delectable food in the northern section of Cebu. The "Light of the North," also known as the Municipality of Liloan, has it all. Northern Point is a reasonably priced and aesthetically appealing food park on the beach that is located in Jubay, Liloan. This food park not only has a prime seafront location but also a wide selection of food and beverages that will surely satisfy your eyes and cravings. Around 20 stalls are present consisting different food and drinks to offer.

One of the food stands that is highly recommended is Silogan ni Bontog (atbp). This establishment sells a wide range of meals, including local cuisines, refreshments, and desserts. The fact that this only costs favorably shouldn't be disputed either, given that the prices of their food menu only range from 79 php. to 200 php. If you're a student like me on a tight budget, you shouldn't pass up the opportunity to eat their food and engage in the spectacular scenery.

At their food stand, beef tinapa and halo-halo are two of the most popular products, so I was eager to sample them right away. Although I absolutely appreciate how tender their beef is, I have one reservation about the sauce. My taste buds found it to be quite savory, but it's still good. Additionally, their halo-halo is incredibly cooling. It has the ideal amount of creaminess and a fairly subtle flavor. You'll want to enjoy this cool and refreshing treat all year long! In addition, these foods' popularity is not just a result of how good they taste; it also has to do with how cost - effective they are. Halo-halo is only 79 php, whereas beef tinapa is about 89 php.

Having said that, there are many of reasons to return after your visit and it is certain that you will have a fine experience!

I missed you, lalo na yung 2010 era mo kasi di ko na gets kung ano na meron dito ngayon lol. Anyway, I’m here to use you again as my journal, just like the old days.

Napa-isip kasi ako doon sa sinabi ng kapatid ko, sabi niya ay kailangan niya daw talaga mag-journal para maalala niya yung mga events. Sabi ko ay gusto ko rin since ginagawa ko naman yun dati pero online, dito sa tumblr haha.

Then, balak ko na talaga na pa-sulat nalang kaso ay tinatamad ako humanap ng notebook na di ko pa gamit, alam kong may stash ako dyan sa tabi-tabi pero kakatamad nga kaya dito ako napadpad. Bali yung about lang sa pag-reset sana ang ipo-post ko para lang may reference ako next time in case na malimutan ko kung paano pero dahil madami pang kuda ang utak ko ay napa-gawa pa ako ng ganito ka-habang post.
