What if we get one of the corrupted statements Jon tried to upload on digital? Im just thinking like-
Chester rattling on about some rando statement:
<[KNOCKING]
Jon: Yes?
[DOOR CREAKS OPEN]
Martin: Oh sorry Jon, I was just wondering if you wanted some tea or-
Jon: No, thank you Martin.
Martin: Oh okay- sorry.
Jon: Goodbye, Martin.
[PAPER RUSTLING]
Jon: Right... statement resumes->
Sam: WHAT THE FUCK??? WAS THAT-

AAAAA TMAGP THEORY TIME
so yall know how the institute burnt down in the 1980s if im not mistaken? so i was listening to mag 60 Observer Effect and (well spoilers) so pretty much the statement giver finds something of her brothers and now cannot shake the feeling of being watched. her brother apparently often came to the institute. she claims to feel especially watched in the archives. the next few years are seemingly not that documented but probably uneventful.
BUT THEN. one day, randomly (?), she finds a delivery truck (who was providing the institute with paper i think at the time), kills the driver and fills the trunk with barrels of oil. EXCUSE ME? why would some normal lady randomly murder someone?
heres the kicker: that statement was given in 1972. THE DATES LINE UP. IT ALL LINES UP. JOHNNY THIS CANNOT BE A COINCIDENCE

Do you guys think that maybe Celia keeps spawning in random places (near a busy road, on train tracks) as some side effect of living in but Not Really Belonging In the tmagp universe? Like she's juuuuust out of alignment with this dimension

So regarding redcannary
One option is that they just went insane and found a bunch of random eyes on the floor (one theory I’ve seen is that the eyes are of old employees that quit) then took a photo and send it and he is now either dead in the institute, is just gone or is living there now
Another option so that canary went insane, took their own eyes out, then took a photo
OR
something/someone is living in the institute, killed canary, took their eyes out (and mauve added it to its weird collection of eyes), took a photo and send it
Either way our boy canary is guy fucked

TMAGP 20
Honestly what even was that episode, don’t get me wrong it was amazing, but like. Gwen, you are in it now sweetheart. Ink5oul is great, hope to see them more along with Mowbray and Needles. Love how the possible compulsion is being factored. I really want to know if avatars function the same in this verse. I assume from the various encounters that they have something to do with fear, like in tma, but it seems just slightly off. Also, I’ve noticed that all the avatars we are seeing aren’t that old or ancient. In Magnus archives, we were constantly getting mentions of old cults, and in general a lot of the avatars seemed to be better established, with a whole past era we were aware of. We see hints of older forces in the Newton case file, but it seems less in line with any avatar or potential fear, and more in line with the desires theory. The avatars that most closely correspond with feeding on fear don’t seem to be very old, besides Mowbray, and as far as we have seen, the OIAR is still recruiting. This leads me towards the assumption that maybe the Magnus protocol verse originally was inhabited by desires, such as knowledge or perfection, but the fears took residence and mixed things up a bit, with a combination of the two spheres of influence. This is why some cases have heavy fear connections, while others seem more in line with the desires theory. My guess is that these two sets have merged somehow. But honestly, that’s just a random theory.

HERE IS MY RAMBLING CONCERNING TMAGP 17
Spoilers under the cut of course
Disclaimer: I spent 2 hours on this post making theories up as I went. It's probably not making sense in some ways but at this point I just want to finish it because even if it was fun to write I'm kind of too tired of it to reread it for typos and everything. Please feel free to point out things that do not make sence and make your own theories (I love reading them and will probably reply but I'm just done at the moment), but I won't change anything on this post because I don't want to spend another 2 hours or more theorising.
Okay so there a lot happening in this episode... Let's talk about Today's "Protagonist" statement, Darrien.
Statement and Research assessment for candidate PD553 Magnus Institute – Oxford Outreach Centre. Private and confidential. Viability as subject – low Viability as agent – low Viability as catalyst – low Recommend continued incarceration as part of Welling Mutare Materia research program.
The Magnus institute makes a comeback ! In this document, Darrien is said to be a candidate, not a patient, not a suspect, a candidate.
And with it's viability on everything, I'm part of the people convinced TMAGP Magnus Institute served the same purpose as the Institute for TMA.
Viability as catalyst - For me, a catalyst would be the tipping point to send the world into an apocalypse, (so the equivalent of Jon/the Archivists).
Viability as agent – For the Agents, I think this would be more like the Assistants in TMA. Here to "help" the catalyst reach the goal of the Institute. Or also maybe something kind of similar to the Externals of the OIAR, to take care of "nuisances" Viability as subject – I'm a bit more lost considering the subjects. But it could perhaps be "Test subjects", in a trying artefacts and spooky powers on them way ? This is the one I'm less certain about.
One question I'm wondering, is the Magnus Institute still fully Eye aligned, perhaps being more controled by the Web, or since the fears have been said to be more muddled in TMAGP (Said by Jonny or Alex if I'm right), just wanting to bring the apocalypse without any perticular Fear getting more control ?
Coming back to Darrien.
He got caught, probably having Sharon tipping the institute off (With a Statement perhaps ? Having your violent boss mysterious half-brother/doppleganger killing him and taking his place would probably work as a statement)
I’ve lived Darien’s life for four years now. It wasn’t as hard as you’d think, turns out your world and mine are pretty similar.
The whole statement makes me think of the woman in TMA with Hill Top Road, who 'slipped' into another world.
And of course, of the person classifying this statement, our dear Celia.
The Case finishes and CELIA considers it for a moment. ALICE is sat nearby working with headphones on. CELIA (to computer) Thanks, I guess. Not exactly the same is it? ALICE (removing earbuds) What's up? Got a good one? CELIA Nothing useful. ALICE (returning earbuds) I mean when are they ever? CELIA True. Beat. She sighs. CELIA CONT. (to herself) True.
I have to admit first, one of the first thoughts that came to mind on the Celia situation after this episode was "She didn't kill her other self to steal her son and her place, right ?"
But, this part makes me think otherwise
Thanks, I guess. Not exactly the same is it?
Not exactly the same, so I'm more of the opinion that she relates more to the 'getting stuck in another world' part rather then the 'murdering your other self'.
The baby, Jack could have came from her pre-TMA apocalypse life, which could explain the lack of father (hard to ask for child support from a man you don't remember in another world (if she is the same Celia as in TMA, and don't even remember her own name, Id say it's not too far fetched that she might not remember a significant other), with the pregnancy perhaps having been halted from progressing by the domains, a cryptic pregnancy or just something that wasn't mentioned in the TMA episodes or more simply, it could be a one night stand that lead to nowhere in TMAGP world.
Now at this point, I think it's pretty safe to say that Celia came to work in the OIAR looking for information, on how she came to this world or the reason she seems to sleepwalk.
Talking about her sleepwalking accidents, she woke up next to an highway and on the tracks of a train. Now I wonder why whatever is trying to kill her by putting her in dangerous situations, because I don't think normal sleepwalking takes you to Oxford.
Writing this I realised the document mentionned Oxford Outreach Center as some kind of a branch of the Magnus Institute, and it's also mentioned as a place where the rich Darrien had gone to university.
So there the possibility that something is trying to kill her (perhaps because she doesn't belong in this world), but also she could be attracted to some kind of place ?
LOOKING BACK TO HILL TOP ROAD ON GOOGLE MAPS I REALISED THAT
1: It's located in Oxford
2: There is multiple universities around it
So she could be attracted to Hill Top Road because there might be some kind of pull to it for people from other universes. Because at this point I don't think her and Darrien are the only ones that ended up in another universe.
Anyway, there was a new receptionist behind the old front desk, some big, soft looking guy who stumbled over every word. A year ago, it would have probably wound me right up but what can I say? Therapy works. There was another patient too, some bookish-looking guy with serious city miles. I used to play the game “what are you in for” where I would pass the time guessing… well, you know. In my head he was definitely some kind of weird pervert, really into stroking orchids or something. Thinking back, I almost wonder if the same thing happened to them… Do you know? Would you even tell me if you did?
This feels a LOT like a red hearing, I can almost hear Jonny and Alex cackling knowing we would freak out about those descriptions. I want JonMart to be okay, but I think they could just be lookalikes of TMA Jmart. Or just alternate universe versions of Jon and Martin because i'm still dead set on the TMA Jon, Martin and Jonah are stuck in the putter theory.
If I'm following the dopplegangers we have here, Darrien ended up with his other self and killed him. Celia (aka probably TMA Lynne Hammond), couldn't remember her own name, so it could probably be difficult to track her TMAGP self (who would probably still be name Lynne since Celia only lost her name in the apocalypse) if she has one, suffer from sleepwalking that tries to kill her/bring her back to Hill Top Road.
Could something try to eliminate doppegangers so there is only one left in a universe ? And since Celia can't find TMAGP Lynne, something could try to make things "right" by killing one the double.

A Magnus Protocol Theory:
Alice Dyer came with the fears. She is from the og dimension.
Proof? Her language and how she describes things. Very fear coded, specifically tma fear.

Bro I'm thinking after that comment about "Gwen devouring her partner," she might have turn into a bit of a jekyll and Mr. Hyde situation. Or just start eating people, maybe becoming Lady Mowbrays "assistant"

Ok Ok Ok Ok OK
With the latest TMAP episode, is anyone getting, like... Archivist vibes??? Hear me out, hear me out. Obviously, TMAP spoilers ahead..
With Alice's encounter with the definitely-not-alive drowning victim and its subsequent tape recorder noise, and then this week's episode's corpse starting to speak posthumously, in conjunction with Sam's comment about them reliving their worst fears until it kills them... What if this is a much darker version of the dreams Jon Archivist was giving his live statement victims in season 4??? It's the exact same energy, but instead of them living it out in their dreams, they have to re-live it every day until it kills them? First The Vast/The Buried (the Fears are a LOT harder to differentiate sometimes in this new world/other dimension/whatever) and now The Spiral/The Lonely??? What if there's an archivist out there extracting statements, but the power of the eye, or, even the weakness of the eye and its desperation to be fed, sucks the fear AND life out of the person? Instead of just watching, it's taking more directly, and doubling down on the fear from the OAIR employees?
But yeah, new theory, there's a very strong - and very desperate - statement extracting Archivist (Archive?) out there.
WHAT IF THAT'S WHAT SAM AND ALICE WOKE UP IN THE INSTITUTE. Like the archivist described in MAG 51 (the one about the Library of Alexandria). BOTH cases/statements/events happened after Sam and Alice went to the old Magnus Institute. And that's why the tape recorder turned on!! Because now the Archivist is free, and it's hungry.
(also, mad shoutout to the nods to The Anglerfish and The Man Upon A Stair episodes as well, both distinctly Stranger. I'll leave the fellow red string brigade to figure those connections out. Also, Georgie!!! And don't make comments about things taking your face!!! They will!!)

Ok but can we talk about that weird fucking heavy breathing laugh at the end of ep10??
It sounded like Bonzo, but could be some other entity dwelling in the Magnus ruins. Or.. Or... Or I'll just suffocate on all these questions

Right so, I do not think that Gwendolyn bouchard is just a gender swapped Elias- I don't entirely know what's going on but from what's been said about the nepotism and hints on that front I think that someone in her family is involved in the government, I don't think the OAIR specifically especially since shes had to work so hard and blackmail Lena just to get 'in'
I also think that Elias does exist in some form in this universe, and that he was involved in the burning down of the Magnus institute in some way- I have no evidence for this but it's an idea.

Oh I doubt it but- but what if they go to the ruins of the mangue institute and find one of the tapes and it’s - and it’s the one where John says he doesn’t want to become a mystery

Here's my thing - I theorized , I had ideas and they connected to other ideas that also connected to other ideas. I could have had my own red string board. I was researching computer terms and archival files lol
I went full tilt head on into this series....
Guys I have no idea what's happening anymore lol nothing I'm just listening along at this point like holy moly good cows what's going to happen next. I for sure cannot for the life of me predict ahead with any clarity. Which is fine I'm sure it's all gonna be fine ... right.......?
My only wish is I would love some closure for a certain archivist who didn't want to be a goddamn mystery oh and his plus one clearly.

So I’m thinking and I don’t know if this is common knowledge, but we watching from the any digital source throughout protocol so far. In the archives, the tapes and all of the recording we heard from were through the web, our point of view being formed FROM the web.
I think we are watching from Jon’s or maybe the whole computer gang currently. Jon got Sam to go to that address and then we listen from that address! Logistically that sound came from when they are listening! Maybe! Or something!

I’m curious about all the glitches that keep happening
Like it’s obvious now that they happen when someone is lying but why are they happening
I doubt it’s just a wink and nod at the audience from Jonny and Alex
There has to be a reason for why they keep happening
Is whatever is spying on the gang know that we are listening and is trying to communicate with us ?
Idk but I can’t wait to find out !!!

I do think that it's very likely that it's Jon and Martin in the computers-
HOWEVER. I don't think they are just trapped and I don't think that they are whole. I think they will be changed, only some remains of the characters we know and love residing in them. I think it's very probable that they won't know who they are themselves, not fully. That they only vaguely know what happened to them, why they are doing what they are doing.
I think that they were Jon and Martin. But when and if they will get more humanized in the story, I think they will be more Chester and Norris than anything else. Blank slates with faded ink blots.
Also, wouldn't it be hilarious if they fucking hated each other and did not know why? It would be. It absolutely would be. Everybody would agonize about that, but it would be so funny. Especially if that antagonization came from Norris side lol
