Teenage Meddling Mutant Turtles: TMNT Iteration ✨

After realizing Mutant Mayhem Don wasn’t the youngest, I decided to take matters into my own hands and make my own iteration baby >:]]

After a horrible experiment, Hamato Shen— now known as Master Splinter,— finds himself the caretaker of mutant turtles infused with the blood of his late wife, Yoshi. Collecting four in the span of years, he raises them in the sewers, hoping they’d live a peaceful life.

But of course, peace doesn’t last forever— not when they almost blow up half the city fighting a villain they stumbled across for the third time.

TLDR; Papa Splints has the misfortune of raising teens with the chaotic neutral energy of a DnD Party.

finally have some official designs for the main aberration villains!!!

from left to right: baxter stockman, shredder (tang shen), karai, venus, rahzar

some lore and little facts abt them under the cut:

stockman was the scientist who created the turtles, he was given the resources and funding by a lab. the same lab that captured hamato yoshi, mutated him, and he then escaped from. he lost support for his research after them escaping

tang shen and hamato yoshi were supposed to be married in order to join their families for several reasons. yoshi didn't want this, so he escaped to new york which infuriated shen, leading to her chasing after him years later

in her search for him, she was led to the lab stockman's experiments took place in, and thus was able to find stockman. they form an alliance, both wanting splinter to pay for "ruining their lives"

venus and rahzar were both mutated with the remaining supplies stockman had after he was already kicked from the lab. rahzar knows what truly happened, venus has been led to believe that splinter intentionally abandoned her

similarly, karai has only heard that splinter was a terrible person who left her mother (shredder)

mk that's all the lore for now, here's some silly facts:

rahzar is a hyena, venus is a diamondback terrapin

karai and venus eventually become close and become gfs :)

rahzar and venus consider each other siblings

rahzar is nonverbal, typically only communicating via sign language (very much adds to his leering, scary demeanor)

tang shen has all the scary shredder armor, but thinks it inhibits her actual abilities and is very confident that she doesn't need the extra protection

the foot clan does exist, mostly a good amount of loyal ninjas that tang shen used to fulfil her selfish desire for vengeance

stockman has no morals, he is a shitty person 👍

And Page Four! We got our main players/over arching plot laid out woohoo!! Only took like two years but ayeee

Panel one: The dominos continue to fall and time flows on as the Tribunal hunts for an elite never meant to leave,

Panel two: An angry soul searches for power,

Panel three: a daughter seeks revenge for all she has lost,

Panel four: and a family of misfits unaware of their falling tower. I’ll leave you here but like no worries!

Panel five: This isn’t the end… since there was no beginning.

Summary: Tang Shen was a student of the Tribunal who went out on a mission where she meet Yoshi and Saki. The trio befriended eachother and Shen fell in love with the freedom and little joys of life. She flees the Tribunal and told Yoshi and Saki about it. This begins Saki’s obsession with it. Shen obvi doesn’t spill the beans Bc she can see what Saki wants and what path that’ll lead him down.

Shen marries Yoshi and they have a baby named Miwa. Life is going well, until the Tribunal finds Shen. She flees with Miwa thinking Yoshi died at the hands of the ninja that are on her tail. Meanwhile, Yoshi comes home to see nothing but flames and ruin. He’s heartbroken and moves to America for a new life too grief stricken to remain amongst the reminders of their old life. They always had plans to see the world. Saki is left with no leads to the Tribunal, but that will not stop him.

Shen and Miwa are now on the run from the Tribunal. Yoshi dies after encountering one of Kraang’s bots in the same instant Splinter gets mutated along with some unsuspecting turtles. Saki discovers a helmet rumored to hold great power, hunts it down and ignores the warnings.

All their paths cross within the city that never sleeps…

@tmntaucompetition While everyone else is busy meeting their alternate selves, Shen and Leo decided to make the impromptu lost and found corner a little more welcoming. It didn‘t take long for them to meet the first turtles that had gotten lost, @its-captain-sir's Chicago Style Raph and @terrazooid's Honor Bound Mikey (which should be totally voted for as well)

What if TMNT took place in São Paulo, Brazil instead of New York?

Welcome to my Brazilian au, I made this character sheet of Tang Shen, and in this au she's also know as Big Mama (Like, Tang Shen is her name, but Big Mama is her nickname in crime)

Her spider form is inspired in the Brazilian Wandering Spider, 'cause this is one of the most venomous spiders on Earth. While most spiders will try to flee in face of danger, this one will fight you and probably win.

I'm sick and tired of Tang Shen being a plot device for men and becoming past tense, so in my AU she's gonna have her villain era.

Also her hair pin is designed to look like a Brazilian Wandering spider front legs.

Since this Tang Shen has chinese roots she's a yaoguay, the same species of spider demon depicted in the book Journey to the West.

I'm really open into putting other types of mystica creatures in my au.

Here Tang Shen knows a lot about mystic powers and artifacts, ending up being a collector of art and expensive rare objects, having a gigantic collection of itens that she found, stole or bought over the centuries.

She's married to Oroku Sakiand she's a manipulative villain that wants power and rule over humans. She has one biologically daughter (Karai) and an adopted one ( venus)

I just want an evil lady that is evil because she enjoys it.

Shen wanted to rule the clan with her husband but since he was the second in line, she setted up a dangerous mission for Yoshi and they never saw him again.

She's a magic user but I designed some fan weapons for her

Was rewatching the Leo and Donnie being a murderous duo video (aka Donnie being angry) video and it was during the part where Donnie had that mafia don cornered and he literally had his bo staff blade to this guy's throat and it just.....

The look on Donnie's face man. It was so unsettling to see, it was like looking at a stranger at that moment. Like a stranger who was fueled by nothing but his rage and it got me thinking about some things. Mainly this.

What if one of the reasons why Leo was so against Donnie taking this guy out was because of his anger? Or rather who his anger was following in the footsteps of?

Like it's already pretty clear during the episode that this takes place after Splinter's death because Leo's got the black twin katanas. Which means that the events that happen in the episode happened after Leo had already made that heavy decision of taking the burden of killing the Shredder onto himself than letting his brothers do it (because as we all know Leo's pretty selfless when it comes to his loved ones, especially his brothers and he'd definitely take on that awful burden of taking a life to spare his brothers the emotional and mental backlash of making such a choice). And all throughout the episode Leo's telling Donnie that violence won't solve anything and that killing this guy isn't the way to go.

Already it's scarily clear that he's trying to spare Donnie, who when he's not angry is one of the kindest turtles amongst their group. Leo knows full well that if Donnie went through with it, his little brother once that anger died down would be completely torn up by the act he did because it's Donnie. But after seeing just how angry Donnie gets, seeing his face and voice be filled with that all consuming wrath it made me think that perhaps one of the reasons he didn't want Donnie to go through with it, was because at that moment he'd become a lot like their enemy. He'd become the one person at that moment who had ruined their lives.

Donnie became the Shredder at that moment.

Because Donnie at that moment was going purely on his anger. He was letting it get the best of him and was fully prepared to kill the don, consequences be damned. Like Donnie was on a war path, just going through it blindly with only one thought in mind.

Killing the don who had hurt him.

Even when he and Leo had nearly gotten hurt several times throughout that mission, even when their lives were on the line, Donnie didn't even notice any of it because he was so angry. And who else has done this very thing?

The Shredder.

The Shredder's main motivation was to kill Splinter. Because in the Shredder's eyes Splinter as well as his whole family had done him wrong and in his need for vengeance and in his anger he killed Splinter and his father, killed Tang Shen, manipulated Karai and in the end killed Splinter. All of it while he was angry and driven by that fury and wrath need to get back at the world that had done him wrong. Shredder didn't care who got hurt in his need to get revenge, just as long as he got it. And it'd gotten to the point that Shredder's anger went so far over the line that even if he wanted to stop it, it would have already been far too late. Because Shredder from the moment he acted on that need for vengeance and going blindly with his anger, had crossed over in an area that he could never come back from.

If Leo let Donnie go through with his anger, if he'd let Donnie get that need for revenge that he'd been so desperate for throughout the entire episode before Leo's words had made him finally think about it instead of ignoring them, then his little brother would have inevitably just started a cycle that they'd just ended all over again.

His little brother Donnie would have been no better than the man who murdered their father and hurt so many others in his fiery war path.

And that's something Leo couldn't ever let happen. It's something he couldn't bare for to happen to the only remaining family he has left from the aftermath.

At that moment I'm willing to bet that Leo's worst nightmares were possibly coming to life right in front of his very eyes.

Which is why he's so proud and relieved when Donnie makes the right decision and doesn't go through with it. It's why he tells him he did a good job because not only did Donnie unknowingly spare his emotional well being and mental psyche from making such a life changing decision, but he also at that moment became better than the person who they'd been fighting against since the very beginning.

At least that's what I'm thinking I could be wrong.
