of course 2012 is my fav splinter, though 2003 is a pretty pretty close second. i have never drawn any version of splinter before and GOD did i struggle so i ended up just doing some basic screenshot redraws as a lil study but goodness it was rough

I find it absolutely hilarious that Splinter has no qualms about getting completely zooted in order to teach his sons a lesson. Drunk Splinter will never not be funny to me.

Drunk fighting is a real thing, and it's quite funny. I had a sensei who did it once for fun. He said it was a weird experience XD.

Like, what the heck was in that? He got drunk like, immediately. Plus, if you listen, the glugging sound that his bottle thingie made was like, a lot of glugs. That thing held a lot of liquid, and he just CHUGGED it! He's gonna be drunk all day XD.

Also, dang Splinter! He woke up, and chose violence! First off, he humiliated his sons, mocked them, and even spat all over Leo's face. Then proceeded to call them all stupid XD.

Splinter on a regular day. "Raphael, you have anger, so use that to your advantage. Donatello, you're very smart, so get creative. Casey, you work hard like you always do."

Drunk Splinter "*Raph, you are angry and stupid.Donnie, you are smart, and that makes you stupid. Casey is just stupid. Like, really stupid. You're all idiots, except for April. She's perfect 💅✨”

2012: Splinter's family

I wanted to Make a lil family tree post for 2012. This is just to toss them all into one post now that they've all been shared!! (shreds was the last to be posted) If you'd like more on Splints and his kids, I have a post about that here!

Shredder and splinter, bio brothers in this au, and also Tang Shen to start us off!! Also known as Shredderstar (formerly Poppystrike), Magnoliaclaw, and Spiritpool.

Karai, Mikey, and Donnie! Better known as Viperpaw, Frecklepaw, and Tallpaw! All three of them are a decent mix of their parents' colors

AND FINALLY!! Raph and Leo. Pricklepaw and Bravepaw. The two most like copies of their parents.

Leo's a bit lighter than his mom, and slightly more saturated. It'll be more obvious when I actually draw him, but he's also has a bit broader of a build, like splinter

similar color, similar markings, could almost be twins! Raph has green eyes though, and less white spotting, and is much smaller than his dad was at his age.

2012 Good Genes: The Invasion Part 1

Heads up, I'm experimenting with shorter uploads so only two pages at a time. It kinda encourages me to add more details like backgrounds and stuff, but hopefully, this will sate everyone over.

On a patrol in which Splinter participated to discover Shredder's plans, the boys are ambushed and Raphael is separated from the group with Splinter being the only one closest to him, but still hearing the cries and screams for help from his son who was fighting with one arm broken, Splinter decided to take the sais he dropped and then leave him there fighting on his own.

Splinter shows the weapons to the brothers and friends, informing them with little pain that Raphael had died in battle and that his body had been lost while trying to rescue him, pure lies. However, the others believed him, because, who would believe that Splinter would leave one of his children behind in a battle? Exactly, no one, no one except Raphael, who experienced that betrayal and abandonment firsthand.

Days passed before the boys went out again, they were still in mourning but they had to stop the Kraangs, leaving Splinter to investigate about Shredder, then something happens that the rat did not expect, finding Raphael still alive, apparently, the broken arm had gotten worse because the bone had gone through the skin, but Raph wasn't worried about that, because even though he was happy to see his father again, anger and resentment overwhelmed him completely, leading to the recently shown scene.

Can we talk about 12 Splinter's death at the end of Season 3 and how the world ended at the same time?

Like, what a crazy allegory...the turtles' (+ April & Casey's) world literally ended the moment Splinter died.

Can you imagine what they felt at the end of Season 4 when he died for real? And the world didn't stop spinning. People kept walking, cars kept driving, the city lights stayed on and Splinter was dead.

It couldn't be real. How come now one stopped to grieve? Why was the world turning when theirs' was gone?
