you two are still in pj's and bustling round the kitchen making breakfast

it's not a productive day, you've both been so busy recently that you decided you need a rest day

as you're sitting at the table and Leo is pouring another cup of coffee he starts saying something but you don't quite hear it

"What? speak up, babe"

"I said, I used to think my life, my purpose, was fighting. Just being a weapon for good. But, if I could wake up at 2pm and roll over and kiss you and that's all I did with my day, that would give me greater meaning than any fight I could win"

you're shocked

at his tenderness, at his honestly, at the romance of it

"and no one would get hurt in the process" you reply

there's a moment of silence where you're just looking in each other's eyes

everything else seems to melt away.

Raph

He's a little drunk

but that's when the best stuff always comes out

you've both been partying in the lair, loud music, drinks flowing, dancing ect

he collapses on the bed and looks over at you, smiling

"what?" you demand

he chuckles and looks at the ceiling

"Y'know, I'm not the religious type and even if I was, there's no way I'm getting past the pearly gates but, I would gladly go to hell and tell them I've seen heaven without even entering it every time I've kissed you"

"you're drunk" you say

"I'm drunk sure, but tomorrow I'll wake up sober and you'll still be an angel"

Mikey

you've made cinnamon rolls

and you're sat on the floor of his room both stuffing your faces

he offers you the centre (the best part) of the last one

the sticky goodness of the icing still stuck to his fingers

you take it and happily eat it

"Why'd you always do that?" you ask "give me the best part?"

"I want to give you everything, the moon, the stars, the sun. But I can't do that, so the little things will have to do. I'll spend the rest of my life trying to give you the world"

"Mikey..." you begin "Don't get all soppy on me"

he flashes you a smile

"Bet I can chug more soda that you!"

and the moment is over, but you'll never forget what he said

It starts as kind of an argument

"You're telling me you're a scientist and you know that energy can't be made or destroyed but you still think there's nothing after death? That we don't go anywhere, all the energy inside us?!"

"There's an argument to be made for that, yes. But the energy goes into the soil or heat if you're cremated! There is no next life, we're done"

"I refuse to believe that"

you give him that indignant look you always do when you know you're losing the argument

he laughs and then stops to think for a second

"Ok, I'll make you a deal. If there is a next life, promise me you'll find me in that one too? And the one after that? One lifetime isn't enough of you"

"I promise" you say.

Wanderlust [TMNT 2007!Leo x Fem!Reader] Chapter 1 Teaser ;)

I wanted to share a part of chapter 1 from my full fanfiction for 2007 Leo! I've been writing like crazy for it, but I wanted to finish at least 5 chapters before I began posting it. That way, I won't be behind or have an irregular posting schedule. This is also unedited, so it may be different when I begin posting full chapters.

CHAPTER I: Commencement

Synopsis: When Leonardo returns home from his training, he's pulled into a new relationship with a stranger after returning something of hers. As a sign of gratitude, she uses her culinary skills to thank him with food, and he finds himself returning for more.

There was a time when everything was normal. As normal as it could ever be. One could say there was a time when New York City was normal, too. But, that’d be a lie. Everyone knew it was everything but. It wasn’t some place where dreams came true and everything was perfect. It was a concrete jungle where you had to expect the unexpected; keep your head low. Be observant of your surroundings. Walk fast. Don’t talk to strangers. And God forbid, don’t ever, ever, stay out too late.

There had been a time where the Hamato family was normal, too. Four mutated turtle brothers fought crime by night, and didn’t come out during the day. The eldest brother, Leonardo, had been a cutthroat leader to his three younger brothers. Making sure operations ran smoothly, that the plan was successfully carried out. That he made sure everyone was safe. Thanks to Leonardo’s leadership and his sensei’s intense training to mold the four brothers into who they were in present time, they were able to eliminate the Shredder for good. 

No longer posed with the immediate threat of Shredder, the turtles were in limbo. 

What now?

Leonardo still couldn’t wrap his head around the fact that he had beheaded Shredder and took his helmet as a trophy for his master. In which the large headpiece sat on the shelf in the dojo. A reminder of the victories they’d won; and a warning for what could happen in the future. 

The anticipation for the future had caused the turtle in blue to train excessively. He had no idea what he was training for, but he had to be ready. He spent so much time in solitude that his father became concerned. He knew this wasn’t the end of Shredder, in fact, it was just the beginning. Although Shredder wasn’t coming back, his army and daughter Karai wanted revenge. Sweet, painful, sinful revenge for their leader. Despite the rather…taboo relationship between Shredder’s daughter and Leo long ago, she had to fight for her father’s honor. Master Splinter knew that, and he was ready for when that day would come. 

For now, the most the brothers and sensei could do was wait. 

===Present Day===

“I said fucking ‘service please!” Your voice boomed throughout the busy kitchen, loud enough for the other chefs to shudder. You weren’t normally like this, only if shit was really hitting the fan. And right now, the shit was hitting the fan badly. 

You were currently 12 orders behind- three cooks called out, two waiters, and one dishwasher. Unfortunately, you were forced to deal with a busy dinner service with only half a staff. 

“What’s goin’ on here?” Suddenly, the senior sous chef bursted through the revolving doors, clearly annoyed with how the evening was going. You were so concentrated and stressed that you didn’t care how much of a mess the kitchen was. You had no time to worry.

“I need hands!” you huff, watching as the completed dishes piled on the shelf in front of you. The receipt printer continued making noise time after time as more orders flooded in. There were too many distractions and noises coming from both the kitchen and dining room that you became overwhelmed and couldn’t concentrate. As usual, there seemed to be no end to this madness. 

“Where the fuck are my servers?! You got us drownin’ back here!” You smiled as suddenly, your senior sous quickly washed his hands and put on some gloves, ready to assist the sudden dinner rush. The middle-aged chef comes to your side, placing a supportive hand on your left shoulder. “L/n, go take a quick breather, and come back ready.” Finally, You got a smidge of a break. Before anyone could stop you for something, you rushed to the kitchen entrance, trying not to slip on the dropped brioche buns flattened with non-slip shoes and soggy french fries on the once white tile floor.

You pass all the chaos, trying to make your way through the crowd of people. Fuck preorders. Fuck parties of 12. Fuck DoorDash. Fuck UberEats. Fuck call outs. Fuck everyone and everything. You glanced at the bar, but you couldn’t even see the bartender over the crowd of people surrounding her at the table, all bar stools occupied with others standing in annoyance at the understaffed restaurant and slow service. If that wasn’t enough, you could’ve sworn you saw one of the waiters behind her blonde bangs tear up a little behind the POS system as she angrily punched in a table’s order.

Beads of sweat littered your forehead from the heat of the kitchen and the congestion from the volume of customers. As soon as you pushed the door to exit, it felt as if a massive weight was lifted off of you.

It was nighttime. You felt the cold January air slap you in the face, but you were grateful for it. Taking a deep breath, you sit on the stairs off to the side of the restaurant, what’s left of the red neon sign illuminating the parking lot around you (they really need to fix the “S” in the sign “Hudson Grille,”) the battery in its been dead since you started working here last year. The place wasn’t run down or anything, it’s just the manager put the budget toward other things. For now though, the restaurant is called “Hudon Grille.” First-time customers and tourists think it’s a typo and argue it’s “Udon Grille,” then get mad when there’s everything but Udon on the menu.

You look up to the full moon, contemplating your life choices as usual during a stressful service, wondering just what parallel universe you is doing right now. 

“She’s probably living la vida loca in Cancun right now,” you say to yourself. In this universe, though, you were living la vida loca in New York City. There was so much more out there, that you wondered what lies beyond the Big Apple.

Your eyes began wandering to the city’s buildings, admiring the decoration New Yorkers put on their balcony. They began traveling upwards to the rooftops, and you got lost in thought. 

Until you noticed somebody- or- something on one of the buildings rooftops. It was dark, but you could make out its silhouette. It looked bigger than the average human, but then again, bodybuilders and sumo wrestlers could reach this height.

But, what would a bodybuilder or sumo wrestler be doing on the top of some random building at 7:00pm? Grabbing your phone from the back of your pants pocket, your thumb scrolls in search for the camera app. 

“I don’t think it can see me,” you whisper. Maybe you can get a birds- well- phone’s eye view to see it better. Holding up your phone, you wait for it to adjust to night mode. After doing so, you angle the lens towards the silhouette, pinching the screen with your fingers to zoom in. Once the lens focused and adjusted, you got a slightly better look of the unknown figure. You still couldn’t see who or what it was, but there was an obvious difference between it and a human. It couldn’t be human. It had some sort of backpack on its back, and there were some sort of fabric that flowed in the wind behind its head. 

“Y/n!” You can hear one of the chefs call you from the inside, however you didn’t move an inch. 

You snap a photo, making sure the flash is on to get every detail you possibly could to study it later after your shift. However, the camera flash caused the figure to turn, and it was almost as if it was staring.

It was staring at you.

You stood in your apartment smiling, your hands running through the box of colorful Easter grass on the table. You didn’t think that it would arrive on time, but it did. Along with four bright Easter baskets and various Easter candies. Your eyes lingered on the bright blue basket for a few seconds, your heart squeezing. You imagined how his face would light up when you handed it to him. Leo. The leader of not only his brothers, but your heart as well. 

You bit your lower lip, a sigh escaping your lungs. When you first met them, having just been accosted, you were just grateful to have been rescued. You had absolutely no idea that the fearless leader would spark something deep inside you as his beautiful blue eyes met yours. 

You didn’t see the shell on his back. You didn’t notice that his hands were two times the size of yours. No. All you saw was his smile. The way it met his eyes when he approached you that day. You saw his light, the way he moved with care. Slowly, tenderly, reaching out for you. 

“Hey.” He said softly. “It’s ok. We’re here.”

You stared up at him from your crouched position. Your heart beating wildly in your chest. No longer from fear. Oh no. Something much more powerful. Slowly you rose, your legs wobbly. You stumbled forward and Leo quickly took hold of your forearms, steadying you. His touch! Your skin sung with an exquisite electricity, snaking upward towards your shoulders. You gasped. Leo’s eyes widened. “Did you feel that?” You breathed. He nodded, slowly. 

Nothing would ever be the same for you two again. 

“Are you ready, my child?” Master Splinter’s voice broke through your reverie. 

You grinned, spinning to face him, unaware that a few tears had managed to escape your eyes. “Are you alright?” He said, concern causing his whiskers to pull downward as he pointed to your face. 

You brought your fingers up to your cheeks. “Oh.” You smiled slightly. “These aren’t sad tears, dad.”

“I see.” His warm brown eyes glistened. “Memories are powerful things.”

“Yes. They certainly are.” You grinned, Leo’s smiling face flashing through your mind. 

“Might I ask what you were remembering?” He asked, stepping around you and up to the table. 

“Oh, I uh,” You quickly blushed. “I was thinking about the time I first met Leo.”

Splinter chuckled. “Ah! Yes. A very complicated memory to be sure. One that both elicited pain and happiness?”

You closed your eyes for a second, his words hitting deeply. “Yes.” As you opened your eyes, he closed his thin soft hand over yours. 

“Fear not, my child. Though the memory remains, the pain is also now nothing but a memory. I am glad that my son was able to counterbalance such a dark time in your life.”

You nodded. “So am I, dad. So am I.” 

“So, how are we supposed to put these together?” He smiled, motioning to the baskets. 

For the next hour, you and Master Splinter carefully constructed each Easter basket with care. Master Splinter added his own twist to the baskets, placing several Japanese coins in with the candy along with Bonsai tree clippings wrapped with silk. “These are for good health and good luck.” He winked, placing the last of the coins in Michelangelo’s basket. 

“I think that’s beautiful.” You smiled. “A nice blend of traditions.”

Master Splinter cleared his throat as he grabbed the cellophane. “I agree. There’s always room for new things. New rituals. Different ways to do things. As long as there is love involved, it should not matter.”

You were practically bursting at the seams with excitement as you and Master Splinter entered the lair, two baskets each in your arms. The guys had never had an Easter before. In fact when you approached Master Splinter about it, you were unsure he’d even go for it. You knew that they practiced Shinto and didn’t want to risk offending anyone with your idea. But when you pitched it to him, he was open to the idea and liked that you were willing to share the Easter tradition with them. You explained that you only really did it for the candy and thought that the guys would get a kick out of getting Easter baskets with goodies. 

Now, crossing the living room to the kitchen, knowing that Leo would be sitting at the table with a cup of tea steaming before him, you smiled, trying to contain yourself. Somewhere behind you, you heard Mikey squeal and your excitement boiled over into a laugh as you rounded into the kitchen. Leo looked up from his comic book, his bright blue eyes widening as you set his basket down on the table, the tea packets behind the cellophane catching the overhead kitchen light, making them shine. 

“What’s this?” He smiled, slowly standing, his chair scraping across the floor. 

You gently set Raph’s basket down, some of the contents shifting slightly. “It’s for you.” You breathed. “Happy Easter, Luv.” 

Leo smiled, pulling you to him, his arms wrapping around you. You pressed your cheek to his plastron, grinning. This was home. He was home. Suddenly the basket, the kitchen, and everything else in the world, no longer existed. All that was left and all there ever was and will forever remain, was love.

TMNT Raph x Reader - Raph’s Karma

OKAY SO I HAD THIS IDEA its set as like a hybrid of the 2012 and the 2016 worlds where the turtles start off as relatively short as in 5'2 like in the 2012 series and then over like 8 months they have like this exponential growth period where its one mother fucker of a growth spurt and they turn into Bay turtle height and build and stuff.

 WARNINGS- cursing, the limbo between platonic fluff and romance that does your head in, typos (typing it up on my phone), its pretty lengthy 

“Hey, Short-Stack,” you call, eyes skimming over the figure reclining on the couch. 

There’s the slightest growl in response as the terrapin turns onto his side, facing away from you. You knew he was awake, he’d been pretending to sleep for about an hour now. He’d been too still, you knew the way he slept. Raph was prone to tossing and turning unless he has something to hold, (a pillow or a blanket for example). A small smirk slides onto your face as you transfer your attention from the pinball machine to your favourite turtle.“Pickle-Bean, wanna join?”

Ok Leo with a sleepy type s/o brings out his protective side so much

he finds it so endearing that you will snooze pretty much anytime any place

very Homer Simpson "the strong must protect the sweet" vibes from him

due to you always being sleepy, he has upgraded his bed

more pillows, more blankets, a comforter ect

just anything to make you comfy and let you doze as much as you need to

he's also started taking naps with you, something no one ever thought he would do

Leo, the super productive leader taking a cat nap???

But anything to be close to you

The cuddle king has arrived

and omfg will he do anything to let you sleep in peace

one time you were napping on his shoulder in the living room and Mikey was being a bit too enthusiastic about the sandwich he was making

Raph hissed some threats I will not repeat if Mikey woke you up

he loves you pressed against him, like he feels ok as long as you're touching him

he will, however, try to cover this up by making fun of you for sleeping

"you know you talk in your sleep, right? That is when you're not snoring...."

but secretly he loves it, any chance to cuddle up and be close to you he will take

The lad who's too high energy to sleep until whatever power source fuels him runs out and he crashes

thinks you are the cutest when you're asleep or sleepy

since he's not great at taking naps or staying still, he makes you a plushie of himself so you can always have him with you

like, he'll be in the same room as you sleeping but he just can't nap, y'know?

whenever he sees you yawn he throws a blanket and pillow at you and commands you go take your rest

always wakes you up with a cup of coffee and a story of what he's been up to since you were out

at first he's really concerned about your tiredness

like, are your B12 levels ok? Is it some underlying health condition??

eventually, and a lot of tests later, he realise you are just a sleepy bitch. it's who you are.

he has a "nap corner" in his lab that he set up for you

it's got fireproof blankets all around it and it looks like a little fort

it's calls it your royal suite

honestly, he loves having you there

he'll be frustrated by something he's working on and then look over and see you napping so peacefully and for a few seconds he forgets that he was ever bothered by something.

The Reality Is...

Short oneshot about Leo/Raph/Donnie/Mikey trying to get over a breakup.

I guess you can kinda say I wrote this to try to ease how I've been feeling since last weekend; IRL things is just too much for me to shoulder so I told my boyfriend if we could take a break in our relationship so we can work things out with our lives. (We've got a long distance thing going on.) I know its not a breakup technically, but it feels like it because we're going to be able to talk little to none. 😥

Perhaps it was better for you to be with someone of your own kind. That's what he's been telling himself to make it not hurt so much. His heart hurt so much, it hurt to breath and to stop sobbing and crying his eyes out. He cries himself to sleep at bedtime. He was depressed. He wanted to curl into a ball in a corner and just wallow in the sea of sadness and let it swallow him up. Splinter and his brothers noticed how much he changed since the day you told him that you needed someone who could support you in all ways.

Raph spends all his time in the gym, letting out his anger and frustration. Plus he didn't want to not let anyone see him cry. You were the only one who he would let see that side of him. He didn't want to go upside ever in case he saw you, because if he did he would probably cause a ruckus.

Mikey was mellowed out. He didn't want to do anything that reminded him of you. That kinda included everything because you had become a part of his life, and now you were gone. Sure he was the sunshine of the group, but the sun couldn't shine without any light...

Donnie had locked himself in his lab, delving into his many projects and experiments. He hoped that keeping himself busy would take his mind off of you. Little to no success. When he needed sleep, he couldn't. He saw dreams and memories of you. He was haunted by the ghost of you.

Leo rarely talks anymore. He spends more time in the dojo than Splinter does. Anyone rarely gets to see him. He sometimes stays in his room, slient, deep in thought. He tried to seem strong for his family, but little by little his calm stoic demeanor was crumbling. His mind was going down a dark path...

You're with your new human partner. You've introduced them to your family, and they approve. You love spending time with them, and they will/help provide for you. You go out almost every night having a good time. Except when it's night time, around midnight. You lay in your bed and think about the past, present, and your future. You think about him... and you can't help but cry when your chest tightens. Your heart knew who you wanted to be by your side, but the world would never accept him, much less accept him to be with you.

The reality is... maybe mutants and humans weren't meant to be together.

It’s a Raph x reader story that starts off as a 2012!Raph and reader leaves for a year or something, comes back and he’s had a growth spurt and is basically Bayverse!Raph 😅

I read it like once a while ago, and I’m just now thinking about it but I don’t remember much else..

Hey Plant Nonnie! Nice to see you again!

I looked around through the fics I’ve tagged/read and I can’t find any that match that description, but I thought I’d go ahead and answer in case someone that follows me or one of my moots have heard of it.

If it does end up being found though, I’d love to read it! I’m watching 2012 right now (going slow. The horror elements in it are good I just can no longer watch it with my kid and that cuts down when I can watch it) and I’ve yet to really delve into fics about those turtles.
