💚 After being captured by The Joker, you were terrified. Anyone in your position would be, even if you were, apparently, the object of the clown's affection. You were under the watchful eyes of both The Joker's lackeys and the Clown Prince of Crime himself, and the thought of angering them was horrific. So you tried to keep your mouth shut. Most of the time, the pain was somewhat bearable, but being restrained in such a manner made it agonizing.

💜 You can't hold it together. Who could? Your muscles screamed in pain. Your head pounded and throbbed. Your whole body was alight in agony. Your body heaved as you began to quietly sob. What else could you do but cry? Maybe you'd at least be able to cry yourself to sleep to escape the pain judt for a moment - but a sudden explosion of noise makes you wince and flinch, migraine pounding in your skull. The Clown quickly took notice of your tears and read his goons the riot act. Who did it? Who hurt his darling? Was it him? What about him? Nobody answered, though. He muttered something about cowardice before kneeling in front of you, cupping your face in his gloved hands, asking in a soft voice what was wrong. Disoriented and tired, you told him.

💚 You assumed this aspect of you would make him turn on you. Maybe, hopefully, see you as not worth keeping and send you off if you're really lucky. But if anything, this made The Joker more protective of you. None of his men were allowed to touch you. He didn't trust them not to make anything worse. Only he could help you unless it was an emergency. He kept you locked up in his room almost at all times. The TV was on at all times, you were left with some things to read and games that would strain you, all while laying on the comfiest bed he was able to pilfer in the dead of night. Oh! And the very soft handcuff he attached to the bedpost to keep you from running off, of course. Only the best for you, sweetheart.

💜 He'd make sure to get anything he thinks may help. Ointments, medicines, heating pads and ice packs… Hell, he might just kidnap doctors or physical therapists to begin a care plan if he had even the slightest inkling it may help. He wanted to show you just how deeply he cared for you. There is nothing he wouldn't do for you. No lengths he would not go. All he could hope for is that you'll see how much he truly adores you. That you feeling okay and being without pain was all he could ever hope for, ever dream of.

💚 One night, while you lay together with something playing on the TV, both of you silhouetted by the light of the television, does he tell you. After his impromptu bath in the ACE Chemicals factory, he was left with lifelong burning sensations. They came and went. Sometimes he could hardly see or breathe. Other times, he could hardly feel anything at all, like he'd gone entirely numb. Nobody else really knew, but he wanted you to. To know he understood. To know you weren't alone.

Becoming affiliated romantically with a man like the Joker is likely an intense and chaotic experience.. for the both of you surprisingly. He’s not one for emotional connection, and becoming emotionally attached to someone isn’t something he’s fond of. He likes unpredictability, and since you’re here to stay.. well..

His emotions fluctuate quickly, and at first dating your relationship would be built on very, VERY uncomfortable tension. He can be sincere at one moment, and the other go off to do something he’d find more stimulating. He finds romantic dates droll, and prefers nights out where the two of you try to create as much havoc as you can, even if you don’t really want to. If you perfer a more quiet, intimate time with him, he might Indulge you once every blue moon to his dismay.

He’d love having a green eyed partner, maybe he’d even have a preference to it! In a way, it’s like the two of you match, so he finds it hilarous… not at your expense of course !

He’s not on the best track record with relationships, but he does make an active effort for you at times. He’s inept when it pertains to his partners feelings unless you actively communicate with him or he notices an unsubtle shift in behavior. He’s very suspectable to changes in his partner, and if you’re upset, HES upset.

Isn’t very affectionate through his words, unless he’s calling you a ‘silly Willy snookums bear” or whatever else he can make up at the top of his head. He prefers giving you gifts descreetly or giving you subtle gestures to secretly show he really cares.

I love a lot of existing rogues blogs but they always seem super busy and swamped so I figure another can't hurt and it'll give me a chance to practice my writing.

What's x / & mean?

Classically x and / are gendered relationship markers (x for m/f ships and / for m/m or f/f, originating the terms "slash fiction" and "femslash" to refer to lgbt shipping) but today they are largely interchangeable. However x and / both indicate romantic relationships. & indicates platonic and familial relationships. This helps avoid ship mixups!

What can I request here?

I have seen every Batman movie but not Catwoman, Joker, Justice League (either cut), or the 1940s serials. I have seen Batman 1966, Gotham, BTAS, TNBA, and Mask of the Phantasm but am not through Batman Beyond and have not seen The Batman 2004, TBATB, or Happy Halloween Scooby Doo. I am almost done listening to Batman Unburied but have not heard Rogues! Or Batman Audio Adventures. I do read comics but don't feel grounded enough in my knowledge to write comics canon yet. I have watched LPs of Arkham Asylum & City but have not finished watching LPs of Origins, Knight, or the Telltale series, and do not have the actual games to mine for details.

I would prefer only Rogues requests at the moment, I don't quite feel comfortable writing for the Batfam. I will also only write & fics for Ivy Pepper, Selina Kyle, and Jonathan Crane from Gotham.

I've never written NSFW before, nor do I have experience to draw on, but if you can stomach the awkwardness or inaccuracy go ahead.

Can I request a fic where a rogue with a "split personality" is "cured" or my favorite personality "wins"?

No. DC's treatment of mental health issues is always questionable and that's part of writing these characters at all, especially in regards to systems like Two-Face, but while I might mention conflict between system members I will not write about them being destroyed, erased, assimilated, or otherwise unmade to suit the preferences of the reader.

Tripping back into my comic hyperfixation really reminds me of how important Batman has been in my life. 

I was introduced to Batman through the animated show when I was 4 and became obsessed. I would watch Batman: Subzero on VHS on LOOP at my grandma’s house. I think an older cousin owned and left it, but of that I’m not entirely positive. All I remember is sitting on my grandma’s bed watching it on her small, fuzzy-reception, tv and falling in love with Batman’s design and compassion as he handled Mr. Freeze. The art was so smooth and the colors so rich, I remember being in awe and wanting more than anything to LIVE in that world Bruce Timm created. 

I would obsessively check TV guides and plan my schedule - as best as I could - around when reruns of ANY of the animated series would run and camp in front of the TV to watch it. BTAS, TNBA, Batman Beyond. Those led me to other shows like Static Shock, the Superman animated series, Smallville - and even shows outside of the DCU like X-Men Evolution, which I was also obsessed with. When Justice League premiered I remember I screamed in excitement and would beg my mom to let me watch it during dinner. 

Then I started reading the comics from the library. There were some in my elementary school and my mom would take me to the local library to pick up others often. I remember checking out the Long Halloween when I was probably around 6/7 and being freaked out, yet intrigued, by Tim Sale’s art style. I admittedly understood next to nothing about the storyline because it was pretty word-heavy, even for me as an avid reader back then. Also the font was hard to read. I preferred Gotham Adventures (for obvious reasons) back then and the graphic novel reprints of Tim Drake’s run as Robin. 

Around 8/9 is when I was introduced officially to Adam West’s Batman and I don’t think I will ever forget that moment. My grandma was on a classic movie kick and would pretty much non-stop have TCM or TV Land on in the background. Most of it was very boring to me, although I could listen to the way classic Hollywood stars spoke all day (and most of the time, I had to lol). One day, there was a splash of color on the screen I didn’t expect and my jaw dropped when I saw THE JOKER AND BATMAN RUNNING TOWARDS THE OCEAN WITH SURFBOARDS. I stood in front of the TV with my mouth agape as I saw BATMAN in SWIM TRUNKS and a CAPE. I was transfixed: the music, the whacky costumes, the absolute madcap zaniness of it all so different than what I was used to, but so so right. When I saw Batman pull out a “Bat Shark Repellent” that was game over, I laughed so hard I had to sit down. I would check TV guides for reruns of that, too, and it was always so much fun. I remember so many instances where I would be enjoying a late afternoon snack or having dinner and nearly spitting my food all over the table/tray from laughter. 

Kevin Conroy is my Batman, always and forever, the closest to my heart and my everything in regards to the Bat, but the indescribable joy Adam West gave me as a child is nearly incomparable. 

I started ACTUALLY collecting comics when I was around 8, on and off, and it really kicked off when I was around 13, but at 17 when I got a job, oh boy, pretty much all my money went to DC Comics, video games, and manga. 

But yeah, it all started 22 years ago. Over two decades Batman has been a part of my life - that’s crazy to think about. 

Also, I pretty high-key credit Sesame Street for my very easy slide into my Batman - and slightly unrelated vampire - obsession because I was IN LOVE with the Count.
