Your feet ache and the dress the seamstresses are anxiously fitting on you is heavy. The rich silk which feels soft against your skin. One of the ladies accidentally pricks you with a needle and you flinch. She starts to stutter out apologies as your aunt and Bellatrix hover nearby, glaring at the poor woman.

But you pay them no attention. Rather, you are focused on the Daily Prophet in your hands. There you are- the front page of the Daily Prophet standing behind Pius Thicknesse and next to Delores Umbridge. You look cold and heartless, a serious look on your face. You like what is expected of you by everybody.

Dolores — you're taking delight in calling that miserable toad by her first name since she can't do anything about it — has a satisfied smile on her face. 

You don't even want to talk about Yaxley and Runcorn. Creeps.

What, however, saddens you the most is that your true identity was revealed with this arctice. Full name and all underneath the picture taken during the speech.

It sickens you that they had to include the fact about who you're a child of. 

You feel people look at you and you quickly put away the papers, focusing instead on the others in the room. "I'm sorry?"

"How does the dress feel?", repeats Aunt Cissy her question as she sits on a chase in the corner, her eyes slightly watery.

You look at yourself in the mirror. Smoothing your hands over the bodice of the dress, you frown. It doesn't really look like a wedding dress you would have wanted to wear. But the Lord himself insisted that the fabrics must be in traditional Slytherin colours. Being prideful of our house and forefathers and whatnot.

"Good", you manage to croak out, not having spoken at all today. There was no need for you to. Every aspect of the wedding is already decided or is being decided by someone else.

Bellatrix raises one eyebrow. "Just good?"

You shake your head. "No. Great. I love it! It's just what I always dreamed of." You give the seamstresses your best and brightest smile. But you know it doesn't reach your eyes. 

"May I be excused?", you ask to nobody in particular. You have to get out. Out of the dress. Out of the Mannor. Away.

Once you're released from your dress, you hurry outside. One part of the garden is off-limits to anyone except you and anyone you bring with you. You've heard Death Eaters discuss the place and that they have deemed it an honour to be invited by you to that corner of the garden. Ugh, as if.

When you finally reach it, someone's already seated on the stone bench located in the middle. You round the bench and go sit next to Draco, whose shoulders are sagged.

"How's Theodore?", he asks, not looking at you.

"He's fine. Getting his tux fitted right now."

"How are you?"

Now that is a loaded question. "Fine", you answer curtly, but both of you know that that is not true. You've been far from 'fine'. "Absolutely miserable. But I imagine that I speak for the three of us."

Your cousin looks at you. He is paler than he has ever been. Obviously has he not been eating and sleeping well. You know for a fact that if you didn't have Theo you would be in the same state.

"Are you ready for tomorrow?" 

Leaning over, you rest your head against his shoulder. You sniff and swallow the lump in your throat. There is no need to answer Draco's question. Of course, you're not. Nobody is ready to unwillingly marry at seventeen.

You hesitate for a moment, questioning yourself if you can really ask that of him. You instead bite the bullet and just ask it. "Will you give me away?"

Draco senses up, snapping his head towards you. "What?", he asks incredulously.

"Tomorrow. Will you give me away? My... father won't be there, too busy with himself. And I want to not be it anyone other than you."

Draco's speechless. His mouth opens and closes like a goldfish as he stares at you. You give him a small, unsure smile. Just as you want to take your words back and tell him to forget you asked, he engulfs you in a tight hug.

"Thank you", he whispers, "I would be honoured."

There is a knock on your door as you sit alone in your bedroom, the stylists just having left and let you be by yourself for a moment. Picking up the many layers of skirts of your dress, you make your way over to the door. 

Cracking it open just a smidge you're surprised to find Theo. "What are you doing here?", you whisper-shout, looking around the hall. "It's bad luck if you see me before the ceremony."

"I wanted- needed to see you."

You take his hand and pull him into your room. He presses his forehead against yours as he smiles. "Hi", he whispers. 

"Hi", you whisper back, smiling shyly. You caress his face and push back the locks that escaped his gelled hair. "Your hair is stubborn", you giggle. 

Theo's eyes flicker over your face, leaning into your touch. "I didn't think you could even look more beautiful than Yule Ball. I love to be proven wrong." He gives you a quick kiss before holding you at arm's length and ordering you to spin.

You do so and the many diamonds in your hair shimmer in the sunlight. Your gown balloons around you and it makes you smile to see the adoration on Theo's face. 

He looks good. Theo's wearing a suit with embroidered sleeves in a matching shade of green to your dress. The embroidery shimmers in the light, giving the effect of it moving on its own.

Theo pats his jacket in search of something and pulls out a small box from one of the inside pockets. He looks unsure for a moment before getting down on one knee and opening the box. A beautiful golden ring with a pearl in the middle that’s enchanted to display little pearlescent swirls within.

"I know we're doing this backwards... but will you do me the honour of marrying me?" Theo looks up at you, his brows knitted together and his hands shaky.

You stand breathlessly for a moment, your eyes fixed on the ring. Slowly you nod as a smile breaks out on your face. "It would be nothing more I wish than to marry you."

He jumps up from his kneeled position and takes you in his arms, swirling you around. You kiss him while he slips the ring on your finger. You look at it and clutch your hand to your chest, running your thumb over the stone.

A harsh knock on the door pops the little happy bubble the two of you are in. "Quick, hide", you whisper, pushing him behind an armchair. You open the door and peek outside. A relieved sigh escapes you as it is only Draco.

"You haven't seen Theodore by chance, have you?"

You pull him inside before locking the door and tell Theo to come out. His head of brown curls pops from behind the high back of the chair as he gets up to his feet.

Draco smiles as Theo naturally gravitates towards you, his hand searching yours. "They are looking for you. It is about to start."

Theo gives your hand a squeeze as he leans in for a kiss. "See you soon", he says with a smile, giving one last kiss before leaving the room.

You sigh. Now that he left, the anxiousness you've been feeling all day returns. Pacing the room, you drag your dress behind you as you chew on your cheek, not wanting to ruin the lipstick. 

A hand suddenly takes ahold of your own and you turn to look at Draco. He gives you a sad smile that wordlessly tells you that it is time.

From the way to the room where the ceremony will be held is all a blur until the double doors are opened for you and everybody turns around. You tightly clutch Draco's arm as he leads you down the aisle, towards Theo.

At the end stands your only driving for your feet to be moving. He has a soft smile on his face and eyes filled with love. Once you've reached the end without a hitch, Draco extends his arm and places your hand in Theo's. The two boys share a look before your cousin takes a step back.

Much of the ceremony is the same haze. The only thing you can focus on is your heavily beating heart and those warm brown eyes peering into your own. You follow the orders of the officiant to place the golden robes over Theo's shoulders and clasp the bracelet with your house crest, his house crest, and the rune of love around his wrist. Theo does the same to you, tracing your knuckles once the bracelet is secured on both of your wrists by magic. 

"And with the power invested in me by the Ministry, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may share your first kiss as a married couple."

Your eyes meet Theo's and you close the gap, closing your eyes and pressing your lips against his. You cup his face as he leans into you, wrapping his hands around your middle. 

For just a moment, it's the two of you. Not the room full of Death Eaters. No expectant stares, empty looks and contestant sneers. It's just you and your now husband.

Merlin, how great it feels to finally say that.

You close your eyes, breathing in deeply. "I love you, Teddy."

Theo beams up at you. "I love you too."

Baffles me that these two came from the same womb in the same litter. My orange jerk, Kyo, & lil grey tux princess, Jazz.

They have a lot of the same quirks & behaviors & their face shape / ears are the very same, but the crazy size difference between them always makes me surprised, especially since big bro & lil sis like their own private space & I rarely see them close together.... except when hunting a cane toad through the window, I guess.

Inktober Day 8: Toad

Day 8 of my first Inktober. The prompt was Toad. Even though he's not technically a toad, I still wanted to draw @Froggy_Boi817 (Twitch, Twitter, Instagram, Bluesky). Drew him in a tux because I was inspired by Emoji Kitchen.

in depth review of the mario movie

honestly i kinda wish it was a /little/ liiiiitttle bit longer, like maybe 15 minutes longer, there never felt like there was any down time and it was mostly constantly GO GO GOGOGOOOOO. like i get that the sense of urgency was there, but i think i’d like a little breather once in a while.

like i would have expected maybe a little more fireplace chats, maybe mario talking about luigi and how much he means to him (i would have loved a scene of luigi doing something for mario, rather than mostly luigi reflecting on mario always being there). i think this was where peach talks about not being born in mushroom kingdom, kinda not sure how i felt about it. i dont like the Actually idea, but it wasn’t really brought up again in the movie. =/

um lets see, from the beginning, seeing the mario family was very interesting. didn’t think they’d have a “disappoint my family” drama in such a movie.

weird and interesting how a lot of the commercial scenes were changed. not complaining, i didnt like the “get it off” scene anyway.

im not a big donky kong person but i dont know how others feel about the kongs being very kart centric. i guess its the only way they can incorporate the mario kart in the movie more naturally but hm. DK being depicted as a cocky frat bro, im hm. i dont get why he was constantly picking on mario, yeah he beat him, was that it?

as for the depictions, i think mario was really cute! he’s such a doting bro! i dont know what age hes supposed to give off, if the canon age of 25 is a real thing, i think it was fine. but yeah, he’s a dude who never gives up and i love him for that!

peach could have been a lot worse, and i think she was fine. my only gripe was that her doing the training course, she didnt move like she should have in game. wanted more floating dresses. but yeah she was fine.

i was like groaning when they had the slow-mo effect for mario and peach’s first encounter but im glad not much actually came from it. aside from that scene and the go karts where DK said they were flirting and Toad was shipping it, most of the rest of the “hints” were just Bowser being jealous

BOWSER KING SHIT, LOVED HIM. he was perfect in every way, wouldn’t have changed a thing. 

luigi, i wish he had more time to shine. unfortunately he was just the damsel and sitting in his cage for most of the movie.

interesting choice to have the finale end up in brooklyn again. i wasn’t big on the “saving brooklyn” thing but i guess it was supposed to go in hand with the “make my family proud” stuff.

kinda wish luigi was there to see mario all bruised and battered. yes he did come in clutch at the end of the day, but i would have liked to see luigi step in to help emotionally as well. i love the movie ending with them though, they are so sweet i love them 😭😭

i was hoping for a “reunion” scene for Peach and maybe Someone from the real world, but maybe that was too much to expect since maybe she didnt come from Brooklyn either. while we were on that topic, thought there’d be a DK and Mayor Pauline scene, but i guess mayor Pauline was just a reference.

i guess i feels like i just wanted more from the movie? i didn’t have expectations but i was left wanting more. maybe if this wasn’t a first time isekai movie, we coulda skipped a lot of stuff, but the setup itself wasn’t bad.

im super happy about all the silly little refs, my favs being Mario playing Kid Icarus, Luigi’s phone tone being the Gamecube start up, Bowsers actual Odyssey wedding tux (why was Peach’s different??). They played One track from Odyssey, which, I’m not mad, I’m glad it got some rep at all.

Face it

Chapter 1

It finally happened. On the top of the tallest building in New Donk City. It was a small affair, officiated by Pauline in her red pantsuit. Only 5 guests. Daisy in a simple turquoise sleeveless sundress. Toadette had a one shoulder pink dress with a gold bauble necklace. Toad had on a blue suitcoat with a red bowtie. Yoshi had a black bowtie. Luigi had a black tux and a green bowtie. The bride looked elegant in her white sweetheart bouffant dress with a tiara and veil covering her updo hair. The groom in a matching white tux, red bowtie, a white top hat covering his brown wavy hair that matched his well brushed mustache.

“By the power invested in me by the city of New Donk. I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss.”

Peach bent down, cupped Mario’s face and kissed him. Mario, in turn, stood tall and gently cupped her elbows. Daisy, Toadette, and Yoshi burst into cheers. Luigi and Toad burst into tears.

“Mama! Mama! Mama!” A pink luma soared through the observatory to the kitchen, only halting once it bumped into a tall blonde lady in blue holding a teacup.

“Oh!” The tea sloshed but none of it dripped over the rim. She set the cup down to face the star child. “What’s the matter little one.” She folded her arms around the floating squish.

“Mama! I was looking through the telescope and there is a ship!” The luma escaped its mothers grasp to float up to her face. “It’s heading right to us!”

Rosalina hummed in thought. “Let’s go take a look together.” The woman floated herself out of the kitchen dome down the stairs to the grassy part of her home. She entered the Terrace dome that held the telescope. There was in fact a ship and it was in fact heading to the Comet Observatory. “Would you be a dear and wake up Polari for me?”

“Yes, Mama!” With that the little pink luma zoomed out of the room.

The large square black and red ship hovered over the castle like Observatory. The magic bubbled that protected the home of the Lumas stayed activated. Rosalina held a device up to her mouth. “What is it that you wish to do with the Comet Observatory?”

The device crackled on another voice came out of it. “I wish to speak with the Goddess Rosalina.”

Rosalina had never been referred to as a Goddess, she knit her brows together. “You are speaking to her. What do you wish to talk about?”

“About a tragedy that happened recently.”

She looked to Polari, he shrugged back.

“What tragedy? What happened?”

There was a long pause before the response came. “A black hole has swallowed a planet full of inhabitants.”

“Oh dear!” he placed her hand to her heart. She was well acquainted with loss. “Are you one of the inhabitants?”

“Yes Goddess, me and the crew of this ship are the only survivors.”

“Oh my dears! What is your name?”

“Tatanga, Goddess, my name is Tatanga.”

Back at the Mushroom Kingdom Castle’s large garden, Mario and Peach had given everyone hugs it was now Luigi’s turn. Luigi was still sniffling. Mario gave him the big bear hug. “I’m so proud of you, fratellone.” Luigi whispered in his brother ear.

“Grazie davvero. Ti voglio bene.” Mario stepped back and held his brother’s arms looking into his eyes. “Take care, fratello.”

“I will.” Luigi looked back at the rest of the wedding party. “We will. Anche io Ti voglio bene, fratellone.”

With that they released each other. Peach came and gave a peck to Luigi’s cheek. “Thank you for taking care of the kingdom and for taking care of Mario. See you in three weeks, cognato.”

With all the goodbyes taken care of Mario and Peach boarded the Odyssey ship. They waved out the window until the wedding party was no longer in sight. Everyone else headed into the castle, except for two.

Luigi felt another tear fall down his cheek. Watching his big bro, now married, go off into the distance.

Daisy walked up to Luigi and gave his shoulder a playful nudge with hers. “It’ll be all right.”

“I know,” he replied quietly. “Time just moves so fast sometimes…. It use to just be me and Mario and now he has his own family….it’s going to be different.”

Daisy hummed at the thought and gave Luigi a comforting hug. They stood outside until the sun started to set.

Rosalina only allowed Tatanga on to the Observatory. She was sympathetic to tragedy, but she needed to verify his story.  They met in front of the map. Rosalina had all the lumas hide except for Polari. “Now, tell me what happened.” She addressed a hairless purple man with large, pointed ears, sharp teeth with two bottom teeth on each side extending past his upper lip. He was in a black and red suit.

Tatanga pointed to the outskirts of a galaxy. “We are almost to the next galaxy. Our people don’t usually leave our planet. Me and my crew had left years ago to explore. We didn’t find anything that was as good as home.” He looked steadfastly at the map.

Rosalina didn’t take her eyes off of him the whole time. She was trying to decern his sincerity. She nodded respectfully. It was an old part of the galaxy that she didn’t go very often. There was a planet that was on the map that had an old star next to it. “How many did you manage to save?”

He looked down at his boots. “Only 20 of us.”

She closed her eyes in sadness. “What is your plan now?”

Tatanga turned to her and bowed. “That is the reason we came to the Comet Observatory. We came to ask of you, the Goddess of the stars, to make us a new home.”

She didn’t respond right away.

“We could have taken over a planet, but what of the original inhabitants? We might make a mess of the ecosystem there. We wish to have our planet.”

He gave her a pleading look.

“I am no Goddess, I do not create planets.” She stoically responded.

“You may not but the lumas do.” He gestured his hands to the black luma that floated near her.

His knowledge surprised her. “Yes….” how much info should she be giving out. Does he already know? “If they so choose.”

“Goddess of the stars, we humbly ask you to ask your lumas to consider our plight.”

She had already sent a batch of luma out to graduate into whatever they wished to be. It always hurt her heart to see them go but it also made her so proud that they wished to make others happy and to create. The next batch wouldn’t be ready to transform for a while. “I will have a counsel with my oldest lumas.” That’s all she could do really. They choose what they wanted to grow up to be. She signaled to Polari to gather the lumas.

“Children,” Rosalina tried to calm down the murmur of all the lumas that had gathered out on the front lawn of the observatory. “Children, we have here Mr. Tatanga.” She pointed to the purple man next to her. Many questions arose. Rosalina gave her children a look that quieted them.  “His planet was destroyed.”

All the Lumas all exclaimed in sympathy.

“He could only save 20 of his friends.” Some of the lumas looked up at the newcomer with sad eyes.

“He and his friends” She pointed up to his ship that was sitting on the dock of the observatory.

 “Are asking for a new place to live.” She paused to look into her children’s faces. “I ask those of you who wish to become a planet if you would be ok for these travelers to inhabit the planet you become.”

Many of the lumas discussed amongst themselves. 10 of the lumas floated forward. “Mama, we can become his new planet.” Her heart fluttered a little, she didn’t know if it was with pride at how helpful her children were or if she felt worried about her children’s future in the hands of a stranger.

She turned to Tatanga full of purpose. “If you are to inhabit one of my children’s planets, I need you to promise to take care of the planet.”

Tatanga bowed low. “Of course, Goddess.” She still didn’t feel reassured.

“No, I need all of your people to promise.” Usually, life just happens upon on the planets her lumas turn into. But this was the first time she would have a choice who lived on her children’s future form.

“You wish all my people to board the Observatory?”

Rosalina hesitated, “Yes.”

The objective of each level is to get to the end, usually marked by checker-patterned poles. SuperTuxKart is a fun free kart racing game with online and LAN. Currently, only the fire flower power-up is implemented in story mode but there are also ice flowers, which shoots bullets that can freeze bad guys and kill fire, earth flowers give out a light which can be used for lanterns and can give invincibility for a few seconds, and air flowers allow Tux to jump further and more quickly. Tux can defeat some bad guys by jumping on them, and most can be defeated or frozen by shooting flower power-ups, which let Tux shoot the flower's respective element. Other objects such as trampolines and invincibility granting stars can also be obtained from these blocks. Tux can jump under bonus blocks marked with question marks to gain coins or retrieve power-ups such as the egg, which makes Tux bigger. Gameplay in SuperTux is similar to Super Mario Bros. series instead of Mario, the hero in the game is Tux, the official mascot of the Linux kernel. The game was inspired by Nintendo's Super Mario Bros. Today, we will take a look at SuperTux.According to the description on the project’s website, SuperTux is a free classic 2D jump’n run sidescroller game in a style similar to the original Super Mario games covered under the GNU GPL.

My favorite cameos from X-Men 92 House of X:

Zaladane!  A very deep cut, looking like her X-Men cartoon self.  Is she really Polaris’s sister?  Marvel will probably never resolve that one.  (It would be kind of hilarious if she were Polaris’s sister by way of being another Magneto kid, though.)

Blob!  Looking good in that tux, Freddie.  Between this, Pyro popping up here and there, and the Avalanche and Toad cameos in the second issue, we’ve now seen all my favorite Brotherhood guys.  If we could just get a Phantazia cameo, things would be perfect.  Please, X-artists, Phantazia is one of the most 90′s Brotherhood members, she should be in this book.

Pyro and Darkstar, of course.  But I really love Adam X throwing a fit over there.

Darkstar again!  Some artist must really like her, and she is killing it in that dress.

Oh, and the new X-Men team for this series is:

It is weird to me that the 92 team was basically the same as in Duggan’s first run, except with Random and Feral taking the place of Synch and X-23.  Random is, well....random, but it’s nice to see my murderous girl Feral hitting the big time in her nice frilly dress.  (I would have mistaken her for Wolfsbane if not for the dress colors and the “gossip page” at the end of the issue.  Actually, Wolfsbane would have made more sense, but Feral is very, very 90′s.  Maybe she promised to eviscerate Sinister, and everyone voted her in for that.)

Also, I’m really glad to see Sunspot, Moonstar and Calisto on the Quiet Council.  Calisto being a Morlock representative frankly makes more sense than some of the current QC members.  Berto is the son of a wealthy and powerful businessman who is a Hellfire club member, and Dani was a leader in the New Mutants, and can represent the younger generation.  That kind of representation is sorely lacking in the current QC - Kitty is young but she’s old school X-Men, and Hope is more of a representative of the Five than any of the newer generations of mutants.

EMMA FROST- 1. I LIKE THE ONE-PIECE OUTFIT AND THE HEADGEAR. PLUS, THE SHOES ARE PRETTY. THIS IS MY FAVORITE LOOK OF THE THREE. 10/10

2. I LIKE THE CROWN AND THE POWER-GIRL-STYLE BOOB WINDOW BUT THE OUTFIT COVERS EVERYTHING. IT’S SO UN-EMMA. 5/10

3. I LIKE THE BEAD-STYLE DRESS AND THE GLOVES BUT THE SIDE-SLIT THINGIES REALLY PUT ME OFF. I MEAN, DOES SHE EVEN HAVE LINGERIE UNDER THERE? THERE’S A LOT OF PERVS IN THE X-MEN. WHAT IF, LIKE, TOAD OR FABIAN CORTEZ TRY TO TAKE A LOOK UNDER THERE? PLUS, NOTHING CAN BEAT THE FIRST OUTFIT. I GIVE THIS A 8/10

ROGUE- I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS OUTFIT. THE PERM, THE SUNGLASSES AND THE COLLAR. IT’S SO FITTING. 9/10

ANGEL- I MEAN, I LIKE THE HAREM PANTS BUT THE REST JUST DOESN’T LOOK THAT INTERESTING. 4/10

RACHEL SUMMERS- 9/10. I LIKE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS ONE TOO BUT I JUST DON’T THINK IT’D SURVIVE THE COMPETITION.

CAPTAIN BRITAIN- 9/10. IT’S A GOOD OUTFIT BUT I DON’T LIKE THE ARMORED CHESTPLATE.

STORM- EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS OUTFIT IS AMAZING. I LOVE THE HAIR AND THE STORM AESTHETIC. 10/10

KATE PRYDE- 6/10. I LIKE THE SLEEVES, THE COLLAR AND THE BONE-PIN THINGIES BUT IT DOESN’T LOOK LIKE SOMETHING SHE’D WEAR.

PENANCE- 10/10. MONET IS FASHIONABLE AS ALWAYS. I LIKE THE HEADGEAR, THE HAIR, THE PANTS AND THE GLOVES.

MARVEL GIRL- ALSO 10/10. I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE HAIR, CAPE, SHOULDER PADS, SLEEVES AND THE CROWN-THINGY RADIATING AROUND HER HEAD.

CYCLOPS- 6/10. CYCLOPS ISN’T THE MOST FASHIONABLE X-MAN BUT I DO LIKE THE VISOR AND THE COLOR SCHEME.

MASTERMIND- 2/10. THE VICTORIAN ERA DOESN’T SUIT HIM. NEXT!

SELENE- SOMEONE COMMENTED THAT SHE HAD A NICKI MINAJ- STYLE PONYTAIL WHICH I LIKE AND UNLIKE MASTERMIND, THE VICTORIAN LOOK IS A BIG HIT FOR HER. BUT MEANWHILE, IT DOESN’T MATCH UP TO THE OL’ CORSET AND LINGERIE. 7/10

MADROX- 5/10. NOT SURE ABOUT THIS ONE.

SUNSPOT- 9/10. IT’S PRETTY GOOD. AND I DON’T LIKE A LOT OF HIS LOOKS.

WOLVERINE- 9/10. IT’S NOT AS GOOD AS THE OTHERS BUT I LIKE THE YELLOW AND BLUE COLOR SCHEME. THE GLOVES ARE GOOD TOO.

SYNCH- 10/10. THE JACKET IS THE ONLY THING I LIKE ABOUT THIS OUTFIT BUT IT’S TOO GOOD TO PUT ON A LOWER SCALE.

CANNONBALL- 3/10. THE COLOR SCHEME’S THE ONLY THING I LIKE ABOUT THIS.

SUNFIRE- 4/10. THE MASK IS THE ONLY THING APPEALING TO MY INTERESTS.

POLARIS- 10/10. SOME PEOPLE MIGHT NOT LIKE THAT IT LOOKS LIKE SHE’S BEING STRANGLED BY A POOL FLOATIE BUT I THINK IT LOOKS GOOD.

NORTHSTAR- 3/10. THE HAIR’S THE ONLY THING I LIKE ABOUT THIS.

MERCURY- 10/10. SHE’S LIKE A PSYCHEDELIC RAINBOW. IT’S SO COOL THAT SHE CAN PULL OFF NAKEDNESS. HOPEFULLY SHE WON’T GET TOGETHER WITH LOA. REALLY, LOA JUST NEEDS TO SHOVE IT. GO CESSILY! YASS KWEEN!

Sashannarcy random wedding hijinx

“No, Marcy.”

Marcy pouted. “But you didn’t even think about it!”

“I don’t need to think about not wanting amphibians on my wedding dress.” Sasha replied, eyes still on her laptop screen. “I like Grime but not enough to have toad covered fabric on me.”

Marcy flopped back into the couch cushions and folded her arms with a huff.

Anne hummed from the other side of Sasha. “What about we get dresses the same colors as the calamity gems?”

Sasha shot her a look.

“C’mon Sash. Compromise, remember?” Anne inquired with a few pokes to the blonde’s side.

“Yeah, yeah I know.” Sasha swatted the pesky hand away. “I’ll look into it.”

Anne pressed a kiss to her cheek with a smile. “That’s all I ask.”

Anne, Sasha, and Marcy walked into the town’s bakery during the ship’s slower hours. The trio sat at a table as the owner’s walked over with sample after sample of each cake they could have at their wedding. From chocolate matcha, vanilla buttercream, red velvet. They definitely had their fill of sugar, though that meant nothing to Sasha’s sweet tooth.

“Oh! Look, they’ve made newt cake decorations before!” Marcy exclaims as they’re looking through the bakery’s catalog of cake designs.

She looked up from the page to give Sasha her best puppy dog eyes and said girl sighed. Sasha flagged down one of the owners and asked for an amphibia themed cake, nearly falling off the chair as the smaller girl jumped at her for a hug.

“What do you think of this one?”

Marcy scooted her chair closer to look at Anne’s computer screen. There was a photo of an outside reception with fairy lights and flower arches.

“It’s really pretty,” Marcy replied. “But we should probably be prepared in case we get rained out.”

“Oh yeah...”

“We could rent out a place.” Marcy rested her chin on Anne’s shoulder, wrapping both arms around her waist. “I know of a place with a nice grassy area that could use some nice decor.”

Anne rested her cheek against Marcy’s head. “I love that idea.”

Anne stepped out of the changing room where Sasha and Marcy were waiting. Feeling their eyes on her she stepped towards the wall mirror. A royal blue tux adorned her body with a burgundy knit tie.

“Whoa Anne, you look..” Sasha breathed.

“Amazing!” Marcy finished, jumping to her feet excitedly. “And the blue looks beautiful on you.”

Anne flushed with a giggle. “Thanks, you guys. But now I need to see your choices.”

Sasha chooses a magenta embellished spaghetti strap top and a tulle midi skirt. Marcy chooses an emerald green jumpsuit and a snazzy blazer to match.

They both looked stunning.

After their heartfelt wedding speeches Sasha took each of their hands in hers, not caring if she had a dopey smile on her face. She was so glad to have them in her life. To have them as her wives.

“Sasha, do you take Anne Boonchuy and Marcy Wu to cherish and to hold for as long as you live?”

Sasha felt tears in the corners of her eyes. “I do.”

“Anne and Marcy. Do you take Sasha Waybright to cherish and to hold for as long as you live?”

“I do.”

“I do, too.”

Sasha let out a watery giggle and squeezed Marcy’s hand.

“I now pronounce you wives. You may now kiss each other!”

The guests all cheered as Sasha pulled her wives towards her, wrapping her arms tightly around them as she kissed Anne and then Marcy. She felt truly happy.

Continuing on with swapping the backstories/roles of Moray(OC belongs to @dragoningachahell(@whentheorcinusbeorca)which I did for her as an early birthday gift)and Manta, here's her side of the switch where she is a Monster researcher for Team Virus.

Manta was mysteriously left behind by her parents one day without reason, causing her Nega-Gargoyle form to first be unleashed upon being alone. That fateful day would be when she met Anemone after waking up the next day. Since then, she gladly raised and took care of Manta, eventually becoming a mentor figure to her. Manta is still searching for her missing parents, something she bonds over with Octo. As a Monster researcher, she takes pride in her work and enjoys making her documents; it took her time to adjust over Toad becoming her boss ever since he took on the leadership role for the group, but she ended up getting along with him easily.

One time the gremlin gang made a little wedding for Remy and Emile the toads. Roman probably somehow made them a tux and Virgil got a few bugs to sit in some tiny ass chairs so someone could take pictures. Remy probably ate a guest or two

Here's everyone just now from our main colony that visits us (Shelly and Patches belongs next door and were spotted, but these are our regulars). Don't worry, Mini quickly joined the group to eat, and settled beside Tux, her older brother from a previous litter. Monkey, Missy, Tux and Mini are Mama's kids, so they're the older siblings of the little quartet of little kittens we're housing indoors with Mama.

Charley and Charlie are Buttons' littermates, but we can never really tell the Charlies apart since they're practically identical unless you see thier eyes (Buttons looks just like them, but fluffy), so I had to wager a guess here. So we call them both Charlie/Charley and refer them as a collective plural when they're together. They're both girls, so we can't exactly figure which is which by gender either. The eyes are the only indication, and we don't always get to see thier faces.

We're just happy to see our little wild family made it through the worst nights so far. We would have brought them in as well, but we don't have the proper indoor sheltering conditions for an additional 10 cats. Under normal circumstances, they live quite comfortably in our backyard (rural benefits), since we have places for them to safely sleep and we have a regular feeding schedule for them and we try to keep fresh water available all day long.

Technically, they're not our cats and they're free to come and go as they please (we have a bunch of neighboring fields that they spend all day in), but these ones in particular have long since decided they quite like to be regulars here.

We're like a Cat Soup Kitchen. These guys usually get kibble and pate, but we also use them to get rid of any cat food my cat hasn't finished off or had to be switched from (so if I have a lot of leftover high grade food in cans or bags, I can just give it to them as a special treat so it doesn't go to waste).

Can't really have that sort of thing in the city, and you'd think this would affect the wildlife population, but actually we see see plenty of birds, toads, frogs, squirrels, mice and rabbits around here, sometimes in the same areas as the cats. I think the cats are probably just too busy eating the crayfish that have overtaken the back acre of the yard to really want to go after anything else. And we have a LOT of crayfish in the back acre. 👀
