Is Shark Repellent a Real Thing?

The problem is that Humans naturally avoid situation that would make shark attacks likely.  It’s so rare that it’s hard to study.

Navy divers are the exception.  So, the OSS looked into it.  The answer is... kind of.  They discovered a few ways to lower the risk of an encounter, but if sharks are especially determined, it doesn’t work so well.

The most successful methods are charged wires that interfere with a shark’s lightning sense, and genetically engineered E. coli to produce hag fish slime.

Germany's Laughably Awful Attempt at Naval Special Forces

They managed to sink a mine sweeper that was about to be decommissioned and turned into a reef.  They then decided to finally try frogmen, and... blew up a couple of minor bridges.

I keep seeing posts and videos about kids these days not learning cursive in schools and not knowing how to write in cursive, so I assumed I couldn't write cursive, thinking it was the same as putting your writing in italic. It is not. So today, I found out what cursive is, and it is just how I learned to write back in my very first year of elementary. Though I did learn different capital letters for some reason.

I am still in school, and I use cursive for everything, except it's barely readable since my handwriting is really, really bad.
