Summary: Kou quickly loses a rematch with Hanako. But Hanako won’t let him be a sore loser.

“What did you just say?” Hanako questioned. The wind on the rooftop of the school making some leaves fly across the ground in dramatic effect.

“Come at me. I dare you.” Kou stood his ground. Planting his feet firmly and holding his fists up in a fighting stance. Needless to say, he looked kind of silly. In Hanako’s opinion at least.

“Oh~ you’re really picking a fight with me?” Hanako flew up to Kou’s face almost causing Kou to flinch, but he kept himself still despite the uncomfortable popping of his personal space bubble.

“Do you not remember what happened last time? And that was when you had your staff.” Hanako gave Kou a boop to his nose. Kou glared at the spirit in front of him. “Like I said. Come at me. I dare you.”

In all honesty, he wasn’t that enraged. He was more so… bored. Bored and annoyed with Hanako. He thought if he could beat him in a fight that maybe he could get some respect from the specter.

“If you say so~” Hanako shrugged before rushing forward at the speed of light. Kou yelped, not ready for the quickness of the ghost. Kou stumbled back a bit when they collided. Hand in hand each trying to get the other one off balance. Hanako smiled the whole time, his feet not even touching the ground.

Within a few minutes, Kou found himself on the ground in the same position as their last fight. Admitting defeat, Kou laid flat on his back, arms outstretched palms to the sky.

“Gotcha again~” Hanako teased, making himself comfortable on Kou’s thighs. Even going as far to lean forward on his elbows, each one on the side of Kou’s waist. His face inches away from Kou’s. Kou didn’t say anything and just turned his face to the side.

“Aww c’mon. Don’t be a sore loser.” Hanako say up, using Kou’s sides to push himself up. A strangled squeak filled the silent roof, Kou slapping his hands across his lips. Hanako smirked. Oh this was going to be fun.

“Lemme see that smile, Minamoto!” Hanako moved his hands to start squeezing at the sensitive skin on Kou’s sides. Kou gasped and grabbed onto Hanako’s wrists.

“N-Noho! Stohop it!” Kou gripped onto the ghost and tried his hardest to keep his giggles at bay. It was a pretty hard task. Kou was… very ticklish. To say the least.

“Aww~ is the little exorcist a little ticklish?” Hanako teased moving his hands up to Kou’s ribs. This caused loud laughter to pierce the air around them. “Or should I say really ticklish! My gosh, Kou, you’re super ticklish aren’t you?” Hanako continued to squeeze and prod in between each ticklish bone.

Counting each rib out loud one by one to make Kou squeal and squirm with each tickle and squeeze. He even “lost count” a few times just to start over again and again. Kou stopped gripping Hanako’s wrists and resorted to trying his hardest to squeeze his arms against his sides. But all efforts to stop Hanako’s tickly hands would be useless.

“HAHAHAHAHAHANAHAKOHOHOHO! STAHAHAP! PLEHEHEHEASE!” Kou’s legs kicked against the ground. Hanako just giggled along, kneading circles into the most ticklish parts of Kou’s ribs. Even going as far as to wiggle the fingers that were on his back.

“STAHAHAHAHAHA! NAHAHAHAHAHA!” “Sorry I could understand that. Maybe a new spot will help?” Hanako removed his hands giving the poor exorcist a break. The break was short lived when he felt electricity run all up and down his legs.

“Nohohohoho! Nahat the knehehehees!” Kou squealed. His knees always made him let out the most adorably squeal filled giggles according to his older brother. Hanako just giddily laughed as he watched his friend crumble beneath his ghostly ticklish touch.

“You gotta admit this is a pretty cute weakness to have Mr. Exorcist~” Hanako started to scribble underneath Kou’s knees. Kou arched his back with a loud laugh. He reached forward kicking his legs, trying to push Hanako off of him. His strength was depleted, leaving his arms to struggle even lifting themselves off the ground.

“StahahAHAHAHAP! PLEHEHEHEHEASE! Heheheheheheh! Nohohohoho!” Kou couldn’t focus on anything other than how fucking bad it tickled. Hanako alternating between squeezing the tops of his knees and scribbling the underside. This left Kou victim in stitches and his face a blaze.

After a few more minutes of knee tickles and teases, Hanako stopped and rested his hands on his lap. He still sat on Kou’s waist as he gaped for breath.

“Yohou. Ahahare soho dead. That wahas so mehehean.” Kou’s stomach moved up and down as each breath seemed deeper than the last. His lungs selfishly breathing in all the air they could, as if Hanako could take any. Hanako simply chuckled and floated above his friend. Reaching a hand forward to help the, at first, reluctant Kou. Kou stood up with Hanako’s help, refusing to look into his eyes as he crossed his arms.

“What?! You said I dare you remember.” Hanako hovered next to Kou and gave him a quick scribble to the side. Kou yelped and slapped at the ghostly hand.

“Shuhut up.” He said sternly, but unable to hide the giggle in his voice. Hanako just smiled and wrapped his arms around Kou’s shoulder. A thing he did often to show his appreciation and affection towards the people he considered friends. Kou rolled his eyes and patted him on the head. Maybe one day he’ll be able to beat Hanako in a fight. But for now, he didn’t seem to mind losing as much as he used to.

Hanako was in trouble. He was in absolute, earth-shattering, timbers shivering trouble.

What did he do?

He pissed off the exorcist.

What’s so bad about that?

Well, not only can Kou see him, he can also touch him.

Hanako knew at this point that the blonde would never do anything to hurt him seriously, but the boy was pissed off enough that the ghost was worried that he may find himself wrong.

The brunette “walked” on eggshells around the school all day, trying hopelessly to avoid Kou.

Eventually, he was not so lucky. When he returned to his bathroom with Nene, a certain someone was already waiting for him.

Leaning against the window ledge, Kou smirked. “Well hello there, traitor.”

“I’m not a traitor! You didn’t even tell me how important-“

“You shush it! It doesn’t matter how important Mitsuba is. Why would you pour water on a guy who’s having a conversation with his good friend?”

“Heh. ‘Good friend’…”

“THAT’S IT!” The blonde charged at the ghost, who instantly brought his arms up in defense.

”No! Don’t touch me! No! NO-“

“Hanako?” The exorcist cocked his head before shaking it, “Dude, I’m not gonna hit you. I don’t wanna hurt you anymore.”

“Oh thank goodness, I was so worried that you were gonna hurt m-EHEHE.”

Two pairs of eyes fell onto the now wide-eyed bathroom ghost. They never expected the young ghost to laugh like that, let alone by the hands of Kou. The Minamoto boy smiled devilishly as he retracted his hands from the ghost’s hips.

“HAH! I knew it!” Kou chirped as he pushed Hanako to the ground and sat on his thighs. “I thought to myself, ‘damn, this guy is SO annoying. There must be something I can do to take him down!’

The ghost whined in anticipation as his hands shot up to grab the blonde’s wrists. “Kou, be smart about this! Remember what kind of power I have against you! You don’t wanna end up cursed until the end of tihihihime! Nohohoho!”

Using all of his strength, the blonde brought his hands down to prod around Hanako’s stomach. Instantly, the boy erupted into long-awaited giggles.

“Dude this is awesome! I thought to myself, ‘What can I do against the most annoying ghost I’ve ever met? What’s something that can take anyone down?’ And I was right. Haha! Round winner, Kou!”

“Kohohohou! Dohohohont tihihihcklehe mehehehe!” The ghost whined as he threw his hands over his face.

The exorcist took this opportunity to pinch at Hanako’s hipbones. The brunette squealed and jolted upward, trying vainly to grab at his tormentor’s hands. “GYAHHA! Kohohou! Sohohohomewhehehere ehehelse! Plehehehease!”

“Oh? Somewhere else? But this spot is so much fun!” The blonde teased with a menacing grin. “Are you sure?”

“Y-AGH! Yehehehes! Ihihihim suhuhuhure! Swihihitch bahahack!” The poor boy’s face was flushed in embarrassment as he realized Yashiro was still watching them. “Kohohohou!”

“Aww, alright! I’ll help you out, Buddy.”

The Minamoto hovered his wiggling fingers above every spot on the ghost’s torso, making the boy giggle helplessly in anticipation.

“Where’s it gonna be? Hmmm…”

“Kohohou! This isn’t what I meheheheant. Juhuhust- just pick something already!” The brunette hid his flushed face with a turn of his head, arms shooting forward once again to grab at his tormentor’s wrists.

Kou grabbed both wrists in one hand and held them above Hanako’s head. With a devilish smirk, he dug into the boy’s ribcage.

Hanako gasped deeply as his hips bucked involuntarily. “WAITWAITWAITWAHAHAHAIHIHIT NONONOHOHOHOHO! PIHIHICK SOHOHOMETHIHIHING EHEHELSE! HYAHAHA!”

“Oooh!! Score two! I hit the jackpot!!” The blonde chirped as he held on tighter, for the ghost was trying in vain to pull his arms free.

“KOHOHOU! IHIHIT TIHIHIHICKLEHEHES!”

“Well I would hope so! Or else this whole thing would’ve been for nothin’!” The exorcist sighed in delight, “You can stop this by apologizing!”

“OKAYOKAYOHOHOKAHAHAY! IHIHIM SOHOHOHORRY!”

“For?” Kou released his arms and dug in with both hands.

“FOHOHOR POHOHOURIHIHING WAHAHATER OHOHON YOHOHOU!! PLEHEHEHEHEASE!! STAHAHAPPIHIHIHIT!!”

Upon hearing the word “stop”, the exorcist gently traced patterns on the ghost’s ribcage to get him down from the previous high. Hanako panted with his hands over his eyes, hiding his embarrassed face from the world.

“You- hah- are the worst!” The brunette spat.

“I sure am! But I bet you won’t pour water on me anymore when I’m talking to Mitsuba.” Kou chimed as he offered a hand for the ghost.

“I’ll do more than pour water on you- c’mere!”

And that kids, is how Hanako discovered that him and Kou shared a tickle spot. Except Kou was much more ticklish than him.

Pretty Things {Mitsuba and Kou}

A/N: Thank you for the prompt lovely!! I love writing for these two so much i need to do it more often omg! I think they’re so neat and they have such a fun dynamic to explore waaaah~ I hope you have a lovely day/night and remember to keep up on your water!! :D (also i didnt really proofread orz but i think its probably fine?? anyways enjoy lolol)

Summary: Kou and Mitsuba are hanging out at Kou’s house. After Mitsuba takes a picture, Kou finds out what Mitsuba enjoys taking pictures of.

“Come on in! I’ve got snacks on my desk and I set up a board game next to my bed! I’m not very good at it, but I know you like it!” Kou said as he opened the door to his bedroom, gesturing towards his desk and bed.

Mitsuba walked in hesitantly, looking around with curious eyes that only a photographer had. He analyzed the disorganized trinkets that scattered the room. However, despite the clutter, it was uniquely like Kou.

Mitsuba snickered smugly after Kou plopped down on the bed. He lifted his camera up and snapped a shot of his desk. “I could submit this to the school’s gallery. What should I call it? ‘Teenage Hoarder’?”

Kou pouted, his cheeks tinging pink as Mitsuba sat down next to him, clicking to the picture he had just taken. Seeing it through Mitsuba’s camera, Kou now realized just how disorganized it was, looking even worse with the bags of chips and candies and drinks. He rubbed the back of his neck and groaned sheepishly.

“You’ve got a good eye for pretty things, why are you taking pictures of my desk?”

Mitsuba shrugged. “It’s good to expand your horizons, I suppose. Though, I do prefer taking pictures of things I find pretty.”

Kou nodded, already engaged in Mitsuba’s camera as he started to click through. Kou had brought Mitsuba through their family garden earlier, showing off the different veggies and flowers they had been growing. Mitsuba had taken so many pictures they had probably gotten sunburnt standing outside for so long.

“Hey, that’s just a sneaky picture of me!” Kou pointed out.

Mitsuba huffed as Kou pulled the camera towards him. He was holding one of the tomatoes in his hands, grinning proudly. He remembered bragging about how that was his tomato plant that he had been taking care of, and he assumed that Mitsuba had been taking a picture of the tomato. The tomato seemed to be an afterthought, however, as it sat in the very bottom corner of the picture, with Kou’s face at the center.

“Just for that, I have to take a picture of you.”

Mitsuba grumbled. Kou always did this. “I’ll just delete it anyway. I don’t really like being on camera.”

“Well, I’ll still be able to memorize it, so gimme your camera.”

Mitsuba chuckled, knowing Kou wouldn’t be able to memorize every little detail of him, but handed him the camera anyway. Kou picked it up and clicked a few buttons, clearly not used to the camera as the flash light popped up.

“You don’t need the flash since we’re in your room, Kou.”

“I know! I can’t get out of the gallery menu! Hey… how many sneaky pictures did you take of me?”

Mitsuba suddenly felt his cheeks warm. This was why he never lent his camera to anyone, even Kou. He cursed himself silently; he should’ve set it up before giving it to Kou.

“I don’t know, just— Just give the camera back. I’ll set it up for you.”

“Nuh-uh-uh, no way. Wow, I look good in this one! I should start counting how many there are, that way I know how many pictures to take of you!”

“Kou—!”

Mitsuba whined and tried to grab the camera away from Kou, but he simply twisted away and laughed. He clicked the button over and over and found more and more pictures of him. Mitsuba was feeling beyond embarrassed, but Kou was having a blast. He never minded when Mitsuba took his picture, but he never knew how often he captured him in his lense.

“Give it back!”

“Not yet! Eww, you took this one from a bad angle! Can I delete it?”

“No! Don’t delete my pictures!”

Kou pouted. “But you delete the ones I take of you!”

Mitsuba huffed in frustration and continued to grab to his camera. Kou eventually held it way above his head and craned his neck awkwardly to continue looking through, giggling and pointing out how all the pictures, whether or not they were Kou, were well taken.

“Kou, I’m serious!”

Kou stuck out his tongue and blew a raspberry at Mitsuba. Mitsuba wailed and tried to grab the camera again, using one hand to brace himself on Kou’s hip. He gasped and nearly kicked Mitsuba off, making him yelp.

Mitsuba continued to grab for his camera, holding even tighter as Kou squirmed beneath him, hardly able to keep it above his head.

“Stop! I’m— I’m ticklish!” Kou wheezed as Mitsuba whined.

“Not my problem! Give me my camera back!”

Kou couldn’t hold his arms up anymore and relented, giving Mitsuba his camera back as he started to giggle. Mitsuba quickly tucked the camera back into his bag, turning around with his hands on his hips as he glared at Kou.

“That was plain rude!”

“No it wasn’t!”

Mitsuba huffed. “You were laughing…”

Kou sighed. “Mitsuba, you were tickling me.”

“No I wasn’t—! Wait… tickling you?”

Kou chuckled awkwardly when he realized he had just put himself in a possible situation. He nodded his head and Mitsuba narrowed his eyes.

“Hmm… I didn’t know you were ticklish…”

Kou backed up slightly on his bed as Mitsuba inches forward. Kou shook his head, waving his hands as he tried to talk his way out of what he knew was going to happen now that he had let that slip.

“Well, I mean— Everybody is! I’m not actually that ticklish, you know? No, no, not at all. You know who’s really ticklish is Yashiro. But don’t tell her I told you that! She’ll probably hit me with a broom and— Mitsuba? Hey, I don’t like that look on your face…”

Mitsuba was grinning slightly, in that smug way he did. Kou backed up to the wall, stuck in the corner of his bed as Mitsuba leaned even closer.

“You know, I don’t appreciate you taking my camera.”

Kou gulped. “I’m sorry!”

Mitsuba ignored Kou’s apology and reached for his hips, but Kou simply swatted his hands away with a squeak. Mitsuba laughed in amusement moved his hands again, pulling away as Kou swatted at him and poking him quickly while he was distracted.

Kou squealed and jumped, and Mitsuba laughed again. “How did I not know this? Oh, now I’ve gotta try it out.”

“Don’t—!”

Kou could barely get the word out before Mitsuba pounced on him, gluing his hands to Kou’s hips as he tickled him. Kou shrieked and began to squirm, laughing. “Mitsubahahaha! Noho— No, plehehease!”

“I wish I could take a picture of your face right now! But my hands are a little occupied,” Mitsuba teased, making Kou whine through his already frantic laughter.

“Dohohon’t! My fahahace— ehehehe! My face wohohon’t be prehetty!”

“I’d like to disagree,” Mitsuba said absentmindedly, quickly realizing what he had said. “Hey, I took a picture of your desk earlier! I like to take silly pictures too!”

Kou wailed as Mitsuba grew bored of his hips and latched instead onto his sides. He squeezed and Kou arched his back, shoving Mitsuba away as best he could while still protecting his sides.

“I’m dahaha-dying! Mitsubahaaaa! Not thehehere!”

“You’re not dying, you’re fine! Where should I tickle you now?”

“Nohohowhehehere!”

“Nah.”

Kou thrashed about like a fish out of water as Mitsuba attacked his ribs, wiggling his fingers against them expertly as Kou cackled loudly and shrilly. Mitsuba laughed with him, teasing him.

“I’ve never heard you laugh like this before!”

“I cahahahan’t breheheathe! Mitsubahaha, stahahap!”

Mitsuba took that as a cue that he did eventually need to stop. He slowed down, gradually letting Kou off the hook as the poor boy caught his breath in heaves as Mitsuba watched him with a grin.

“You have a donkey laugh, y’know? Ee-yah!”

“Shut up,” Kou whined after he had caught his breath, covering his face in embarrassment. As soon as he moved his hands he heard a click, and he groaned as he realized Mitsuba had taken another picture of his flushed, exhausted face.

“Eh, would've been better if you were still laughing. I like this one though!”

“You’re weird.”

“I am simply an admirer of people who are photogenic. Can I take another? Give me a good smile!”

Mitsuba grinned widely as an example and Kou rolled his eyes. He couldn’t resist when Mitsuba asked to take his photo. He held up his hands and smiled as widely as he could, and the familiar sound of the camera click sounded.

“Owww!” Hanako whined, rubbing his shoulder where Kou had smacked him with his staff. “What was that for?”

“For being a jerk,” Kou snapped, frowning at him. “You know, you hang out with Nene all the time and she does a lot of things for you. You could stand to be nicer to her.”

“I wasn’t trying to be mean.” The ghost boy sounded serious enough that Kou’s features softened somewhat. “I was actually trying to compliment her, but it came out wrong. I’ll apologize to her later.”

Kou sighed. “Well, whatever. As long as you know you were being a jerk.”

Hanako gave him an innocent smile. “You sure are protective of her.”

“Well, yeah! I’m still not entirely sure I trust you, you know.” Kou swung his staff toward Hanako again, stopping before the tip hit his chest. “You still have to prove you’re not going to hurt her or anyone else.”

Hanako pushed the staff away. “You call me a jerk, but you’re mean, too, you know. There are nicer ways for us to fight that don’t involve you hitting me with that stick.”

“It’s not a stick! But…what do you mean?” Kou asked, genuinely interested in knowing what kind of “nicer ways to fight” the ghost boy was talking about.

Hanako gave him another sweet smile. “Oh, you know…” Then he suddenly lunged forward, grabbing Kou’s ribs and squeezing before the exorcist realized what was happening. “Something like this should work!”

“Ah! Hey!” Kou squeaked, dropping his staff, grabbing Hanako’s wrists desperately. “W-Wait, stohohohohop! Whahahat are you—?!”

“See? Isn’t this so much nicer than getting kicked or punched or hit with a stick?” Hanako teased, giggling along with the exorcist. “Aw, listen to those little giggles!”

“Shuhuhuhut up – it’s n-nohohohohot a stihihihihihick! Hanako!” Kou couldn’t help the snickers spilling out of him, his rival’s hands squeezing his ribcage relentlessly, making him shudder and writhe, attempting to get away. Unsurprisingly and infuriatingly, however, Hanako was stronger than he looked.

“Getting tickled really suits you, Minamoto,” Hanako teased. “You make such funny noises when I tickle you here! What about up here?” He wormed one hand into his friend’s underarm, making Kou jerk and giggle even harder and louder.

“Gah! Nohohohohohoho! Knohohohohock it off, Hahahahahanako!” Kou half-snapped, half-pleaded as he curled over instinctively, trying his best to get away. “Quihihihihihit it!”

“Nope! If you want to get away you’ll have to fight back, little exorcist~”

Fight back? Kou felt triumph rise up in him even as he giggled helplessly under Hanako’s gentle tickle attack. Well, if that’s what he wanted…

“Fihihihihine!” Kou shot a hand out to Hanako’s waist and squeezed. “Tahahahake this!”

“Pfft – nice try!” Hanako laughed, tickling both of his underarms at once now. “Gotta try harder than that!”

“Ehehehehehehehe! Fine, hohohohow about hehehehehehere?!” This time Kou tickled Hanako’s ribs, and the ghost’s own attack let up as he giggled and instinctively tried to defend himself. The blonde quickly took the opportunity to gain the upper hand, pushing his rival back against a toilet stall door, latching onto his sides, scribbling across his belly, smirking when Hanako let out high-pitched cackles in response. “Looks like I’ve got you now!”

“No wahahahahahay!” Hanako protested, squealing with giggles when Kou found a particularly sensitive bundle of nerves where his sides met his stomach and digging in even harder there. He tossed his head back, thumping it against the stall, squirming so much his hat started to come askew. “Ahahahahahaha! M-Minamohohohoto, stohohohohohop!”

“You started it!” Kou laughed, digging in harder every time Hanako made a move to either shove away from the door or reach to tickle him back. “What was it you said? Something about ‘nicer ways to fight’? You want me to tickle you every time you make Nene run out of here crying?”

“Whahahat?! No!” Hanako cried, finally tapping on Kou’s arms in defeat. “Okahahahay, you wihihihihin! Stohohohohop it!”

“What’s the magic word, ghost boy?”

“Plehehehehehehehease!”

Satisfied, Kou stepped back, grinning at the breathless Hanako – could Hanako be breathless when he had no need for air? – as he retrieved his staff from the bathroom floor and swung it over his shoulder to nestle it back into its proper place.

“It doesn’t seem right,” Hanako said after a moment of regaining his bearings, “for you to make me laugh every time I make Nene cry, does it, Minamoto?”

Kou blinked. He hadn’t thought of it that way, though to be honest, he’d only been joking to begin with. “Well…no, of course not. But you’re the one who suggested this kind of fighting.”

“This kind of fighting. Not this kind of punishment.” Hanako smiled sadly at him. “Mostly I just wish you’d stop hitting me with that staff. It hurts, you know.”

“Oh. Um…I’m sorry about that.” Kou shifted on his feet. “But sometimes you irritate me so much I have to do something. Especially when you treat Nene like that.”

“I didn’t mean to. You know I didn’t.”

Kou sighed loudly. “Yeah, I know. Don’t get all mushy on me now, ghost boy. Just make sure you apologize to her. She really likes you.”

Hanako grinned playfully. “Oh, I know. You like me too, don’t you, exorcist?”

“Not like that!” Kou snapped, flushing, clenching his fists in irritation. “There you go again, making me want to punch you for being a smart-aleck.”

“Well?” Hanako teased, raising wiggling fingers towards him, enjoying the look of flustered surprise that came over the blonde. “Want to fight it out?”

Kou scoffed, but soon he was grinning, too. “You’re insane. Bring it on, Hanako!”

a/n: happy birthday @gigglykenma !! sorry this is a bit rushed and the characters are a little ooc and, it’s kinda short but i didn’t realize it was SOMEONES birthday today because i was not informed... well, anyways, i hope you enjoy it anyways :)

summary: when mitsuba doesn’t let kou see the photos he took, kou tries a different way to convince him.

it was nearly summer, the spring breeze making a ‘whoosh’ sound as it passed by kou and mitsuba. the two boys were out in the school courtyard, taking photos of the scenery. well, mitsuba was the one taking the photos but kou wanted to tag along.

after taking a good amount of pictures, the two decided to take a break, sitting on a nearby bench. though, they ended up standing back up, when kou started pestering mitsuba to see the photos he took.

“let me see!” kou whined, trying to pry the camera out of mitsuba’s hands. he wasn’t having any luck, though, surprised that mitsuba was a lot stronger and quicker than he looked. no matter how swift his arm was, mitsuba was already a step ahead of him.

“no! they’re my pictures!” mitsuba shouted, shaking his head. he was never too embarrassed to show kou his pictures, but most of the ones he took today were of kou. kou just looked.. really photogenic today and he didn’t realize just how many photos he had taken of the exorcist until he looked back at this. there were too many to count, and he know he could not show those to him!

he couldn’t deny that he was almost tempted to just give in and show him, deal with the embarrassment. kou just seemed to want to see the photos so badly, the determination plain on his face, it was actually pretty.. cute.

“why can’t i see? i always see your photos!” kou pouted, still trying to snatch the camera and still failing. mitsuba didn’t really have a plausible excuse for it, since he did always let kou see his photos.

“b-because you don’t deserve to see these ones!” mitsuba had to admit, his excuse was, well, it was horrible but it was the first thing that came into mind and he was under a lot of pressure.

“huh? why not? let me see!” kou made a face of confusion before turning his focus back to the camera. finally, kou did a small leap and managed to get close enough to just about grab it before...

he missed. mitsuba barely dodged, twisting his body. mitsuba would have believed that this was a close call, a success... if he didn’t suddenly squeak when the finger jabbed him in the armpit instead.

the two boys stopped, staring at each other in silence, ignoring the rosy blush rising on mitsuba’s cheeks. then, kou smiled, broadly, opening his mouth to speak.

“mitsuba.. are yo-“

“no, i’m not!” mitsuba denied instantly, hugging the camera tightly. he squeezed his eyes shut, too embarrassed to look at kou. when he didn’t hear anything else, he peeked one eye open. the previous expression on the exorcists face was now replaced with a smirk that could mean nothing but trouble. “d-don’t even think about it!”

“why not? you aren’t ticklish, so it should be fine, right?” kou laughed, before tackling mitsuba to the ground. mitsuba’s hurriedly protected the camera, grasping it tightly to prevent letting it get any fall damage.

“you idiot! the cameRAH!” he snapped, but was interrupted by his own laughter. the exorcist latched his hands onto mitsuba’s sides firmly and squeezed them, drawing out a startled giggle before mitsuba could even process what was happening.

“you seem pretty ticklish to me!” kou exclaimed, giddily. how could he not be excited after finding out his friend was ticklish? he wasted no chance in hearing mitsuba’s laugh.

“i-ihihim nahahat tihiklish!” mitsuba shook his head, wildly, squirming to fight kou’s ticklish fingers but it was no use. he couldn’t move an inch and he was too busy laughing to think of an escape plan. he was stuck and there was nothing he could do about it but endure what was coming.

“hm? are you sure?” mitsuba didnt answer, refusing to admit that he was ticklish. “well, i guess i’ll have to prove you wrong!”

the exorcist slid his hands lower, stopping at his hips for a moment if anticipation before digging his fingers into the soft flesh.

“you’re ahahaha pehehervert!” mitsuba figured saying that wouldn’t make kou stop but it was worth a shot. both luckily and unluckily, it didn’t. if anything, if might’ve made it worse since the sensations seemed to have gotten more intense. but if he was being honest, did he really want it to stop? he hadn’t laughed how he is now in a long while, maybe it could last a little longer?

“if making my friend laugh makes me a pervert, then so be it!” kou chuckled, still way too happy. he decided now would be a good time to change spots, so he removed his hands, giving mitsuba a moment to breathe.

“are you doNEHEHE!?” mitsuba cried out, unexpecting the fast movement of kou pinning his arm over his head, scribbling and poking at his armpit. “n-NOHOHOHO!”

if anyone thought kou’s face couldn’t get any happier, they were wrong. he looked so excited, someone could have thought he had won the lottery.

“you’re so ticklish here, mitsuba!” kou stated the obvious, keeping his same quick pace on his armpit.

“Y-YOuhuH DUMBAHAHASS! nAhaHAHA!” mitsuba flailed wildly, kicking out his legs. he was reaching his limit and this had to stop before he actually died of laughter.

when kou quickened his already fast movements, he knew that he couldn’t take anymore.

“STAHAHAHAP!” mitsuba shrieked as kou finally halted his tickling. mitsuba gasped for air, trying to find his breath. kou lied on the grass beside him, waiting for mitsuba.

“are you alright?” kou asked when mitsuba finally seemed to be breathing normally. mitsuba’s blush came back tenfold.

“i can’t believe you! tic- doing that to someone as cute as me!” he pouted, crossing his arms in annoyance. he, then, turned away from kou. “but yes, i’m okay..”

kou’s previously worried expression faded in an instant and his smile reappeared, maybe even wider than before.

“mitsubaaa!” he suddenly shouted loudly, before hugging mitsuba, startling him. it was a bit of an awkward angle since they were laying down, but a hug nonetheless.

“P-PERVERT!” mitsuba stammered for the nth time today, struggling to scramble out of kou’s tight grasp. after a few moments, he gave up. and if anyone saw the small smile on mitsuba’s face, he wouldn’t ever admit it.
