Note
what's your favourite kind of obscure monster
First one that comes to mind is filth licker demons (Akaname). They lick dirty things, like tiolets and stuff. I think they might've been an inspiration for the Pokemon Lickitung.
Second is that one yokai that offers you red or blue toilet paper. I.. there's so many Japanese toilet ghosts are they okay-

NAME: Akaname
RARITY: ★★★★☆
THREAT LEVEL: ★★☆☆☆ | Often more or less benign but may injure and very rarely kill. Not especially strong. Caution advised.
ORIGIN: This yokai was first illustrated in 1776. The name “akaname” appropriately translates to “filth licker”. They were said to enter bath houses and dilapidated homes, licking the filth off every surface with their long, prehensile tongue. They especially enjoyed the grime that built up on baths and toilets. The creature’s name led to the belief that akaname were tied to impurity and sin.
DESCRIPTION: While bathroom grime is always a feast for an akaname, they don’t limit their dining to the walls of your dirty shower. Akaname eat dirt and grime found anywhere in the home -- even the exterior of dwellings. They’re fastidious, lapping everything clean. While this can be a plus to some homeowners, akaname usually take it a step further; they will also lick people with their massive tongues, cleaning them until they’re red and raw. If someone has recently engaged in bad behavior, the akaname will continue licking them to feed on their soul’s filth, slowly lashing through the skin and muscle, and potentially causing death.
ABILITIES: Locks meaning nothing to an akaname; no one quite knows how they do it, but they can slip through any doorway and obstacle to reach the grime they so covet. Akaname have a supernatural ability to judge the soul and recent actions of a person to determine whether that individual needs to be licked to the point of pain or death. Once an akaneme has a source of food, few things can get rid of the yokai.
WEAKNESS: Cutting off the akaname’s tongue is often the only way to prevent it from licking someone who they want to feed from. Their tongues can be surprisingly difficult to cut through. Someone who keeps a clean household is more likely to keep this yokai away in the first place, though chance encounters always happen.
