It's time for my favorite readathon, #TomeTopple! It's where I have no excuse but to pick a 500plus-page book and read it. No complaints here! While these two books do satisfy some of the prompts, I elected to pick one audiobook and a physical/digital book. I'm loving the slowest burn that is "The Wall of Winnipeg and Me" by @marianazapata so far! And of course, I'm always in the mood for @authorjamesrollins books; I'm finally picking up "The Demon Crown" (the paperback is 600some pages). I'll try to read as much as I can in between anime episodes and trip-planning. And naps. Day 4 of #tometopple and today's challenge is my favorite one tower of tomes. I thought I would do an updated tower of Tad Williams books since I have added to the collection. I only need to read the bottom two books (books 2 and 3 of Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn) to have read this whole stack. I am conquering one of my biggest fears by finally reading IT. Tim Curry's Pennywise struck fear in to my poor wee soul as a young teenager. Clowns scare the absolute crap out of me. . This week I finally read Hunger by @roxanegay74 I heard so many wonderful things about this book, but being that I dont read non fiction I didnt know if I would be able to get into it. I am very happy to announce that this book spoke to me on so many levels. I related to some or the internal struggles Roxane spoke of in so many ways, reading this books was fascinating, and sad, and eye opening, but it was also therapeutic. I gave this a 4/5 stars. I am about 200 pages from finishing The Great Alone by @kristinhannahauthor (another @bookofthemonth selection) also a book I didnt think would be for me but again totally wrong. I could have easily stayed up all night to finish it last night but my nerves was bad (lol) and I am too nervous that Kristin is going to rip my heart out before the end or the book. And I cant deal. I will be finishing it tonight though. Starting tomorrow I will be focusing on my two books for #tometopple which is A Storm of Swords book 1 by @georgerrmartin and Dragon Keeper by @therealrobinhobb. And here are the books I hope to read in the next #TomeTopple Round! This post should have been shared on the last day of the #TomeToppleReadathon as "Books for Next Time" was the #TomeToppleChallenge for that day, but I was too busy trying to finish my last two books to stop and put this collage together. 😉 . . . So, what am I hoping and planning to read in Round 5 of Tome Topple? . . . IF I Can wait that long (when IS the next round?), I will reread The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss and then move right onto The Wise Man's Fear. I bought The Name of the Wind in mass market paperback yesterday. I had hoped to also buy The Wise Man's Fear, but B&N only had one copy of it and it was ripped. 😔😢😭 . . . So I ordered The Wise Man's Fear and should be able to pick it up later this week. 😁😊 . . . I also definitely plan to read Blood Song by Anthony Ryan. I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway three or four years ago. Round 5 of Tome Topple will be the perfect time to finally read it. 😁😊😉 . . . And I might read The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee. I have this book out from my library right now, but I doubt I'll be able to read it. I just have too many other books that I have to read first. So I might save it for Tome Topple's next round. 😕🙄 . . . So these are the four books that I *might* read next round. I'll try to get others, too (or instead, depending...), but I'll figure out my true Tome Topple Round 5 TBR when we're closer to starting it. 😉

Day 12 of the #tometopplechallenge - Most Recently Hauled #Tome. I've been looking for a non-mass market paperback copy of #thenameofthewind by #patrickrothfuss. Then I found this gorgeous 10th anniversary edition. It's just so beautiful. Next #tometopple round, maybe? Unfortunately, this round isn't going well for me. We have reached the end of Tome Topple! It was amazing. I have had such a fun two weeks of reading.The whole time, I was excited to be reading and it was such a great experience. Thanks to @thoughtsontomes for coming up with this and inspiring all of us to read bigger books.

In total I read 5 tomes (4 novels and 1 graphic novel) for a total of 2845. I even managed to sneak in an extra tome that I hadn’t planned on. I did so much better than expected and will definitely be taking part in the next round, when it comes up.

#TomeTopple Update and #TomeToppleChallenge! #CurrentPage in both of my #CurrentlyReading tomes. 😁 . . . I started both of these books today, an hour or two ago. . . . The Sculptor, by Scott McCloud, is my graphic novel for the "main" Tome Topple challenge to "read a graphic novel." I'm on page 190 in it, about 38% through it. . . . The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss is just a tome that I've been wanting to read, but it will count for either the "adult book" challenge (I think) or the "read a book that is part of a series" one. I'm on page 18 of 662 in it, about to start Chapter Two. . . . And that's my Max in the photo with the books (of course!). 😊❤ . . . I am hoping to finish The Sculptor later today. The Name of the Wind is rather confusing so far, so I don't know when I'll be able to finish it. Tomorrow? The day after? I'll just have to see how it goes. 😉
