Tumblr media
Summary: Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there was a prince who lived in a glittering castle. Although the prince had everything he wanted, he was spoiled, selfish and cruel. But then, one winter night, an old beggar woman came to the castle and offered the Prince a single rose in exchange for shelter in the freezing cold. Not liking her appearance, the Prince turned his nose up at the gift and refused to let the old woman into the castle. But the old woman warned him not to be deceived by appearances. Because beauty is not in appearance but inward, she said. When the prince refused again, the old woman's ugliness disappeared in an instant. And a very beautiful girl appeared. The prince tried to apologize, but in vain. Because she realized that he had no love in his heart. And as punishment, she turned him into a horrible, ugly monster. She cast a powerful spell on the castle and its inhabitants. The monster, ashamed of his horrible and ugly appearance, got away from everyone and shut himself inside the castle. His only connection to the outside world was a magic mirror. The rose she gave him was actually a magic rose and would stay fresh until he was twenty-one years old. Until the last petal fell off, if he fell in love with a girl and she fell in love with him, the spell would be broken. Otherwise, he would remain an ugly monster for the rest of his life.
As the years passed, the Prince gradually lost all hope.
Because who would want to love an ugly monster?

summary: Though the entire castle hadn’t fully recovered from the initial shock, everyone had grown accustomed to Lia’s presence—perhaps even too much. The Beast, surprisingly, had begun to control his temper, and their quiet, shared days slowly turned into gentle companionship. Lia, once a prisoner, was no longer held by chains but by choice. As her feelings deepened, so did the silence between them—thick with touches, stolen glances, and quiet yearning. One night, drawn by desire and trust, boundaries crumbled. What followed was not mere passion, but a culmination of weeks of restraint, vulnerability, and something dangerously close to love. In the Beast’s arms, Lia was no longer afraid. And just before the last petal fell, the curse began to crack—not with a spell, but with a kiss.

Even though the entire castle hadn’t fully recovered from the initial shock, they had more than gotten used to Lia’s presence. The Beast seemed to have learned, with an effort uncharacteristic of him, how to control his anger.
But, as we said—it only seemed that way.
As the days chased one another, the rose petals given by the enchantress had slowly begun to fall. This had started to deeply unsettle the Beast. As Madame Garderobe had told him the day he locked Lia in the dungeon, it wasn’t just he who was suffering. And they were all enduring it together. He had no right to ruin everyone’s lives.
At least, not any more than he already had.
The few weeks they spent together were rather uneventful.
During this time, the Beast had calmed down significantly and had begun having gentle, pleasant conversations with Lia. The young woman had been loved by everyone in the castle ever since the day she arrived. So the only one who needed to normalize their relationship was the Beast himself.
As a result of this mutual effort, they had reached the point where they could joke around with each other. Sometimes, their playful teasing even included light physical contact. At first, Lia avoided touching the Beast—uncertain whether it was something he would want or not. But she had since set aside her hesitation, and now, she didn't shy away from touching him when the moment called for it. Why should she? It was perfectly natural.
Dangerously natural.
Lia had asked for just one thing from the Beast: to be able to call this place her home, and these people her family.
Dangerously natural.
When dinner was over, Mrs. Potts came to tidy up the dining area. Lia stood to help but was stopped by the blue-eyed man. She obeyed his request, albeit with an uneasy mind.
Each time her thoughts consumed her, she found herself thinking of the Beast. Especially when she realized she no longer saw him as a beast, she would then catch herself remembering their touches.
And those memories had only been growing stronger lately.
Touches. Thoughts.
As she waited for the castle to settle down for the night and for that quiet time they all shared before going to bed, Lia allowed the silence to overtake her thoughts.
There was something about him that caught her attention. And Lia was undeniably a curious young woman. She bit her lip without realizing it. But that wasn’t the only thing she failed to notice—because the blue-eyed man right across from her certainly had noticed it.
His hands were rough, but his touch was gentle, she thought. His voice was raspy, but smooth. And his eyes… oh, those blue spheres. Lia wanted to see them, to see what they were hiding behind their heavy gaze. But they seemed content in their concealment. And she had to respect that—especially considering how kindly this stranger, this Beast, had welcomed her.
By the end of the night, the young woman sighed in defeat and made her way toward her bedroom—located at the farthest end of the castle from the West Wing.
And yes, the Beast lived in the West Wing.
Upon reaching her room, she quickly slipped out of her dress and crawled under the covers. She didn’t forget to pray that sleep would find her. Strangely, even in a night as quiet as this, she was struggling to fall asleep. Lately, it had become a common occurrence.
She closed her eyes, hoping—just once more—to see the Beast again. Yet she still hadn’t properly thanked him. And she needed to. After everything that had happened, she had to go and thank him properly.
As sleep finally embraced Lia, her thoughts remained with the Beast. And as sleep slowly pulled her into its world, his form began to join her there.
His coarse hands grazed her skin, dancing slowly along her body. He was trying to memorize every curve. The dream left Lia gasping for air.
As soon as she lifted her head, she was met with a pair of blue eyes. Though her breath hitched at the sight of the gaze filled with longing, she quickly blinked several times to regain composure.
The darkness surrounding them had failed to dim their beauty.
They both stood still, breaths mingling in the quiet. Lia didn’t know what to do—or why the Beast was there. All she knew was that she was so focused on those blue eyes, she felt intoxicated.
She was so lost in them, she forgot time, place, even who they were. The only thing she knew was that she wanted to stay lost in them forever.
The Beast’s clawed hand grasped her and, not very gently, pulled her forward by the nape of her neck. Like someone who’d found water in a desert, he devoured her lips with hunger. He made sure to savor every inch. More than once.
Though Lia’s body surrendered to his motion, her instincts could not be silenced. Her body began to tremble. Her lips burned. Her pelvis was throbbing—undeniably.
When the young woman realized she was aroused by the sheer animalistic power before her, she thought, Here we go. It’s now or never. She decided to bare her free spirit entirely before the Beast—in both senses of the word.
One hand grasped his thick mane, the other steadied herself on his shoulder. It was nearly impossible to stay on her feet when he was taking her breath away.
As the kiss deepened, his lips found her neck, and then—bit by bit, with slow strokes of his tongue—he descended to her breasts. Overwhelmed by sensation, Lia let out a hysterical cry, and her hand instinctively sought his mane again.
But all she met was emptiness.
She was far too intoxicated to notice.
As they explored each other, so completely lost in the moment—so desperate after weeks of yearning—the young man slid into her. And neither noticed their fingers locking.
The minute hand chased the hour hand.
Hours passed, their sweaty, pleasure-wrecked bodies still caressing each other. In their shared bed, Lumiere’s wax had melted completely.
Cogsworth’s screws had come loose.
Madame’s golden coating had peeled.
And Mrs. Potts’ porcelain skin had turned once more into flesh and bone.
Before the last petal fell, the Beast had fallen in love—and what’s more, the one he loved had managed to love him in return.
But, as Madame said: the real celebration was only just beginning.

author's note:
I wrote this story as a mini story on my wattpad blog in 2021. That year it was the winner of the summer stories.
It took me a long time before I decided to start a blog on Tumblr and translate my stories into English because at first I wrote it in a different language and no matter how well you translate it, sometimes a story in a different language doesn't give exactly what you want to tell. thankfully, this story was understood exactly where I wanted it to be understood. especially the chapter reviews by @five-miles-over showed me once again how accurately I was able to explain and be understood.
This is the last chapter before the finale, but our paths will never part here.
And I would like to remind you once again that this is not a sweet romantic comedy, this is the story of all my neglected girls.
Enjoy reading - feel free to comment

After the night they spent together, the morning was filled with great elation. Lumiere and Featherduster indulged in their love all day long and for the weeks that followed. Mrs. Potts was in indescribable bliss, having been reunited with her dearest friend Madame. The three old friends—Lumiere, Cogsworth, and the Prince—had begun to make up for lost time.
Of course, every night, Lia made up for something else at his side. Their bodies, apart during the day, punished one another with longing.
Their hands and tongues memorized each other’s bodies anew every night. As if they had never been together before, they offered their souls again and again, in their deepest hunger.
While cries of lust echoed through the castle, a scream of anguish—perhaps for the first time in months—rattled the stone walls.
And this time, it was Lia crying out, unable to contain the sound of her heartbreak. The tears in her eyes weren’t for the man who had once planted the seeds of heaven within her, but for the man she had never truly known at all.
“I trusted you,” the young woman clawed at her own hair in fury. “Goddammit, I trusted you.” As the tears rushed down, she had no idea what to do. She didn’t know when things had come to this. She wasn’t sure what she could do. All she knew was that she had been deceived.
Or rather, Lia had been a complete fool—duped by the man she thought she knew.
But as always, that too was a lie. Was he ever truly going to love her? Had she really believed she would be chosen, unconditionally? That was the most painful part of all.
Without caring about her tears or Lumiere calling out behind her, she left the West Wing. She didn’t know where she was going, but she knew one thing: she couldn’t stay here a minute longer.
She could have swallowed everything else, could have endured it. And she had. But this—oh no. This was unforgivable.
With resolute steps, her heels striking the floor with force, she headed for the front door. She frowned at the noise that caught her attention.
The Beast intercepted her, practically leaping down the stairs. “Don’t go!” he pleaded. Lia yanked her arm free from his massive, bony hands and continued on. “Stop!” he said again, this time with a harsher voice.
“I didn’t say you could leave!”
“And I didn’t ask your permission to go!”
Without so much as a glance back, Lia tried to flee, but the Beast caught her. Grabbing her arm, he dragged her back to the West Wing. Then made sure to lock the door behind them.
It’s over, Lia thought.
This is where it ends.
What was he going to do—kill her? Was he going to force her as if they hadn’t shared nights of passion just yesterday and the night before?
Could he really be that kind of man?
“Let me go!” Lia screamed with all her strength. “Don’t touch me, don’t you dare!” She wiped her tears away with the back of her hand, violently. “Don’t you ever, under any circumstances, dare touch me again. You hear me?!”
She stepped closer to the man she had distanced herself from and began pounding on his chest. “Say something!”
“Say you loved me! Say it wasn’t all a game to break the curse!” This time, she slapped him—hard. His head snapped to the left from the force of it. “Say something!” Lia shouted again.
She was having a breakdown.
And she had no idea what to do.
When the young man straightened his head and fixed his gaze directly on Lia, the love and lust in his eyes were gone. As if they had never been there.
In those blue eyes was pure rage. And even in his Beast form, he had never looked at anyone like this. Not under any circumstances.
When he grabbed the young woman by the hair and dragged her to the balcony, the only thing heard from the West Wing was the echo of devastated screams.
“What do you want me to say, Eftalia? What?!” the man roared.
“To break the curse, I needed a woman to fall in love with me. Your cousin Zoelle was a much easier piece, but no—you just had to make everything harder, didn’t you?! You risked the lives of everyone in this place! Are you happy now?!” The young man paced furiously on the balcony, while Lia lay collapsed on the ground, exhausted from sobbing.
“This is what you are,” he said, crouching and gripping the young woman’s chin. “A piece that can be discarded without a second thought.” The words, spat like venom, were too much for Lia to process.
“Even your family didn’t object to you coming here. To the castle of a Beast!” the man laughed. Despite his blue eyes, they burned with the embers of fire.
He was burning with fury.
Just as they had once burned each other with lust. Just as they now burned each other with disappointment.
“How many months have passed since you came here? How many times did they call to check on you? Oh right,” He stood with sudden clarity, “None!”
“Because you are nothing, Lia. To everyone. To all of us. A big fat nothing.”
The young woman stood up, whispering, “Stop.” Even she could barely hear her own voice.
“But there’s one big thing you forgot, Lia. The curse works both ways,” he hissed, pointing his long fingers toward her head, hatred pouring from him. “If your stupid little brain had worked even once, you might’ve realized the curse was broken because I fell in love with you too!”
His eyes, too, began to fill with tears of betrayal. But that couldn’t undo the insults he’d hurled at Lia. The young woman shouted, “Stop!” This time, her voice surely shook the entire castle. “I don’t want to hear your voice anymore!” She began walking toward him, calm and composed.
“In fact,” she said, “I don’t want anyone to ever hear your voice again.”
She was eerily calm now, and though that began to genuinely frighten the man, it was far too late to rebuild what had been destroyed.
“The celebration,” the young woman said.
“What?”
“Madame said the celebration hadn’t yet begun, the first day I came here.” Lia stared pensively at the view. “I never understood what she meant.” Then she locked eyes with the blue. “I think we’re about to find out. Don’t you?” she said.
Empty space.
A fall.
The man’s body crashed to the ground from meters above, landing limp and lifeless.
What lay on the ground was not a Beast.
He was an unbearably handsome prince.
As the blood from his shattered skull traced its own path on the ground, Lia descended into the garden—bringing with her the lost soul she had once found.
To the lifeless body of the man she loved, the Beast to whom she had been captive.
She stared and stared at the corpse. Then she turned around in confusion. Where had everyone gone?
Lumiere?
Cogsworth?
Madame?
Mrs. Potts?
For God’s sake, was no one there?
She looked one last time at the fallen blue. Ignoring the trembling in her whole body, she knelt down. Her hand, shaking beyond control, gently traced the Beast’s face. She drew in a deep breath, as though to breathe one last time. Then, without breaking her composure, she leaned in and placed a faint kiss on his lips.
A kiss without lust, without love, without sorrow, without fear.
Even in the face of the lifeless body before her, she was surprised her tears still fell. And yet, she was deeply relieved—for the old Eftalia, the one everyone once knew, had finally returned.
When she stood, words slipped from her lips before she could stop them.
“I’m sorry,” she said with a trembling breath. She shook her head—despite all her effort, the scene before her hadn’t changed.
And Lia was still eerily calm.
“I’m sorry,” she repeated once more.
As her feet carried her forward on their own, Lia came upon the rose the Beast had clutched when he fell. It was about two meters away from his body. Without haste and without hesitation, she walked toward it and picked it up.
When she reached the front gate surrounded by iron bars, she thanked her own will.
She didn’t look back, not even once.
She had come to this castle to live a life of willing captivity— And she left it as a lover, a killer, and a free woman.
With every step she took without looking back, her eyes brimmed with tears in defiance of the smile on her lips.

summary: As Lia spends her days imprisoned in the castle tower, she is unexpectedly met with kindness and comfort by its cursed residents. Though trapped, she finds herself slowly drawn into their world. When Madame Garderobe finally appears with news of her release, Lia shocks everyone—not by running away, but by choosing to stay. Racing through the west wing in search of the Beast, she confesses her desire to remain, to belong, to make this broken place her home. What unfolds is not an escape, but a beginning—an act of trust, love, and defiance. And in the Beast’s heart, something shifts: the decision to meet her not as a creature… but as the man he once was.

Lia had officially reached the end of her first night inside the damp, musty-smelling cell. The redness in her eyes and nose, along with her swollen face, bore clear evidence of a night spent crying.
After a perfect night filled with tears and a rather significant amount of snot, the sun had finally decided to rise. Could a single night feel like a whole year? Lia was learning that the hard way.
When she noticed the flickering light coming from the stairs, a faint smile found its place on her face despite her exhaustion. She knew exactly who was coming.
Lumiere.
“Lumiere, don’t—someone might see us!” giggled a woman’s voice. Lia sat up on the hard floor in confusion. She had never heard this voice before. She’d met so many people yesterday, yet this voice didn’t belong to any of them. Yes, Lia. Because in a castle this big, obviously you’ve met everyone within two days—bravo.
“She’s not even awake yet, Mademoiselle,” said a voice that was unmistakably Lumiere’s. “And I missed you so much.” The usual playfulness in his tone had faded, replaced by something heavier—more serious, maybe even sad.
Lia’s curiosity was growing rapidly. She was torn—should she let them know she was awake? They clearly thought she was still asleep. And they seemed to be talking about something private. She should probably just listen. Still… a part of her wanted to know what was truly happening in this castle.
“I missed you too, more than I miss being normal. But—” the high-pitched voice was interrupted by Lumiere. “But I burn you every time I touch you!” His voice hadn’t risen in volume, but it was thick with pain and helplessness.
“Mon chéri!” the woman protested gently. “You could never hurt me, and you don’t,” she sighed deeply. “I’m just afraid, mon amour. I’m afraid there’s no future for us here. All I want is you. A lifetime with you. But—” Lia heard the sound of a soft kiss followed by a quiet giggle. It made her smile involuntarily. “But like this... I don’t know how much of a life we can really have. That’s where all my fear and hesitation comes from.”
“I love you so much, mon chéri. I believe with all my heart that we’ll find a way and this curse will eventually be broken. Please don’t let dark thoughts take over.”
Another kiss. Another giggle.
Lia didn’t know the woman, but she could tell how deeply Lumiere loved her. She didn’t need to see them to feel it. The love in their voices was almost tangible.
As her thoughts spiraled, Lia found herself wondering if she would ever experience a love like Lumiere’s and his lover’s.
Tumblr media
As the days continued to pass, Lia’s visitors in the dungeon kept coming, tirelessly and without complaint.
Truthfully, Lia was comfortable—well, as comfortable as a prisoner could be. Yes, she was captive. Her freedom had been taken from her. Even though she had come here willingly, thinking of worse possibilities, no one could ever truly be prepared to live in a dungeon tower owned by a Beast.
Compared to a typical prisoner’s life, she was living above expectations. She couldn’t deny that.
She was never hungry, for instance.
In fact, Mrs. Potts always brought more food than necessary. Even when Lia said she couldn’t finish it all, Mrs. Potts refused to let her waste away, skin and bones, in the tower.
On the other hand, Lumiere and Cogsworth had even brought her a bed into the cell. She no longer slept on the hard ground. It wasn’t as soft as the bed she’d slept in on her first day, but she couldn’t deny it was far more comfortable than the one she had at home.
Still, Madame Garderobe had not visited her even once. Lia assumed the woman didn’t like her. And to be honest, she understood. She had stirred up a lot just by coming here.
Then again…
Maybe they would have all been better off if Zoelle had come instead. She was never reckless like Lia. Her words and actions were always so gentle.
On the other hand, Lia had no idea how Zoelle would react to seeing the residents of this castle. She’d never accept it. And she’d absolutely be afraid of these kind, beautiful souls. Lia was sure of that.
One late afternoon, exactly a week into her stay in the dungeon, Madame Garderobe finally appeared. The moment Lia saw her, she couldn’t stop her brows from furrowing. After all, she’d been in this cell for a week and was mentally drained. Why was this woman suddenly here now, and for what reason?
“Hello, darling,” the woman said, a faint smile barely visible beneath her tired face. “I know it’s been a while, but I had some things to handle.” She waved her hand in the air and continued, “Anyway, I’m here now. That’s what matters!” Her smile became a little clearer as she walked up to the cell bars and unlocked them with a key she held. After opening the door all the way, she turned her gaze to Lia, who was already staring at her, breath caught in her throat.
“You’re free to go, darling,” Madame said.
Lia lost herself in a storm of thoughts as she descended the tower stairs. She could see that everyone in the courtyard seemed to be waiting for her to leave.
Flooded with emotions, Lia didn’t run to the main gate— she ran straight to Cogsworth. She was overwhelmed—hope and fear dancing together in her veins.
“The Beast! Where is he?” she asked.
She could feel everyone’s confusion, especially the rusting man standing before her.
“Th-the west wing,” he stammered, still not having processed what she said. “But Mademoiselle, aren’t you leaving?”
Lia dashed toward the west wing. As she reached the stairs, she lifted her skirts with both hands and shouted over her shoulder to Cogsworth, “I’m not going anywhere!” and rushed up.
When she arrived, Lia saw that the west wing was in far worse condition than the rest of the castle. Everything was scattered and broken. Only one door stood slightly ajar, light spilling through the crack. Lia walked confidently toward it, opened the door, and stepped inside. The door creaked loudly, causing her to mutter a small curse, and with that, she had successfully drawn all of the Beast’s attention.
“You didn’t leave,” the Beast said—his voice full of surprise and quiet heartbreak. He was still living with the guilt of what had happened a week ago, but hadn’t had the courage to go and apologize. On top of that, his stubbornness hadn’t helped. For a whole week, he had tormented himself with the thought that she hated him now, drowning in hopelessness.
She—she was so beautiful. And he was ruining everything.
“I didn’t.”
Once she had closed the distance between them, Lia started speaking freely, words tumbling out of her mouth one after another.
“I— I don’t want to leave. If you’ll allow it, I want to stay here. I can help around the castle. I can work. I have no intention of being some guest who just sits around forever. I hate doing nothing. God!” she groaned, pacing back and forth in place. The Beast stood frozen, stunned, just watching her.
“I can’t believe you made me sit in that cursed room for a whole week doing nothing! But anyway. Like I said— I don’t want to leave, if—”
“You’re not going back home?”
“I don’t have a home,” she said, and the small, broken smile on her face gave way to teary eyes. “But everyone here has become my family. If you let me, I’d like this place to be my home— to be with Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, Cogsworth… I’d really like that.”
Lia had spoken so quickly she’d forgotten to breathe—her cheeks were flushed and she was panting slightly. Her wide-open eyes were locked on the Beast.
“You... you came back,” the Beast said.
“Of course I did,” Lia replied with a smile. “So… does that mean I can stay?”
The Beast let out a rough, awkward “heh heh heh” laugh. It made Lia giggle too.
“Yes, of course,” he said.
As they walked together toward the stairs of the west wing, the Beast said, “You already know your room.”
“Oh yes, let me go back to my dungeon,” Lia replied.
The Beast looked at her with wide eyes, but Lia burst into laughter.
“Hey, relax. I’m joking!” she said, turning to him with eyes wet from laughter. “Still, you really should learn to control that temper of yours,” she added playfully.
The Beast wanted to say something back, but Eftalia was right. He had to control his anger.
He couldn’t lose her again.
Her smile alone was enough to make him forget the curse. How could he ever risk losing her again?
That’s when the Beast decided: he would prepare a surprise for Eftalia.
Not as the Beast…
…but as Prince Thomas.

As he savored every bite, he completely forgot the events of the last two days and was caught up in the magic of the moment. Her conversations with Mrs. Potts continued and were always positive and constructive. So much so that Lia forgot, if only for half an hour, that she had begun a life of captivity in the castle of The Beast.
Lia took a small piece of the croissant from the plate in front of her, dipped it into the strawberry jam in front of her and was about to pop it into her mouth with as much pleasure as she had every bite before when a loud noise ripped through the depths of her soul. The dining room door opened so fast and hard that Lia thought lightning had struck the castle. As she dropped the piece of croissant on the floor, her breath was taken away by the glass-blue, steel gaze that peered through the door.
Eftalia was smart enough to recognize the sharp gaze, but she had no idea what to do. His breathing stopped independently and his pulse became irregular.
She was afraid,
Every blood cell coursing through her veins almost stopped with the intensity of fear. A deep silence reigned in the castle as the young woman's face visibly turned white.
Mrs. Potts took a deep breath and then took a small step forward, pulling Lia slightly behind her and instinctively shielding the young girl. Funny, a piece of porcelain didn't stand a chance against a Beast. But the middle-aged woman knew how scared Lia was and the only thing she could do against her master now was to keep her behind her.
When Lumiere and Cosgworth came running in after the Beast and saw Mrs. Potts and Eftalia frozen with fear, they realized the seriousness of the situation. Cogsworth cleared his throat and took a few steps towards his master, knowing that someone had to take action. Once in front of the beast, he allowed the gaze to turn to him.
"S-sir, you remember Monsieur Théodore."
The beast's eyes were on its steward, but it did not stop checking Eftalia. Even though the young woman tried to keep her head up and push the fear in her eyes to the background, she could not restrain her trembling body. This, of course, only served to make the Beast even more angry.
"As a result of the treaty he made with you, he was going to give a girl from his family as a gift." Cogsworth was saying each of the words, one by one and with emphasis. Nevertheless, the deep silence was getting on everyone's nerves.
"They decided to send the eldest daughter of the house, Mademoiselle Zoelle, and we agreed, you remember." Lia's spirits began to sink as The Beast growled that it remembered Zoelle.
"Instead of Mademoiselle Zoelle, Mademoiselle Eftalia, the youngest of the house, voluntarily came to us for this treaty, sir. She arrived early yesterday morning and we tried to show our hospitality in the best way possible."
The beast's gaze swept over Eftalia. First it ran through her hair, which, although disheveled, was as soft as silk, even at a distance of four or five meters between them. Then his gaze shifted to her big eyes. Even though tears were welling up in her eyes from fear, she stared defiantly into the eyes of the Beast. And never for a second did he take his gaze away.
Who could endure the eyes of a Beast for so long?
Following the path of his little nose, his gaze traveled to the full lips of the Beast this time. The Beast  was very distracted by the strawberry jam and blackberries he had just eaten and the reddened lips. So much so that he couldn't help thinking what it would be like to taste all the fruits from those lips.
The Beast's eyes traveled from her thin neck to her medium-sized breasts and down her breasts to her thin waist. The girl's waist looked sickeningly thin. She looked so delicate that she would break if she touched, let alone hugged.
Who would hug The Beast?
Without lingering too long on her thighs, he ran his eyes down her long legs and turned back to his butler without saying anything.
When the Beast finally turned its gaze to Cogsworth, Lia let out the breath she hadn't realized she was holding. Taking advantage of the fact that the beast was no longer looking at her, she quickly began to examine the man in front of her. This time it was Eftalia's turn.
Unlike anyone else he had seen in the castle, the glass-eyed man before him resembled a true Beast. His tall and imposing body was covered with the fur of an animal she assumed to be a lion or a wolf. The fur was so soft and long that Lia couldn't help thinking what it would feel like if she ran her hands through it.
The hands and feet had lost all their delicacy and turned into claws. The face was a contrast to the body and, contrary to expectations, it did not have the face of an animal. The face, which appeared to be bony, was not covered with a dense layer of hair or bristles. It was much sparser than its body. Its glass-colored eyes cut where it looked. His thin but long lips were pink as if he wanted to make a woman jealous.
Eftalia fell again into the thought that she had forgotten how many times since I came here. She couldn't get a glimpse of anybody's fucking beauty here. Nothing, so much so that she was lost in the gaze of the Beast before her.
Meanwhile, neither Lumiere nor Mrs. Potts had noticed their master's long gaze on Eftalia, nor the way Eftalia stood calmly in front of the Beast without averting her eyes.
Taking advantage of the return of his master's gaze, Cogsworth interjected again, "Madame Garderobe has prepared a room for Mademoiselle Eftalia, Sir, and she is staying there this evening. If you have no objection, we think we should continue as we are."
Cogsworth, relieved to have finished his words, was at the same time very nervous about the answer.
Everyone was relieved when The Beast turned to leave the room after a nod and a voice acknowledging Cogsworth. Mrs. Potts was more than happy that the encounter had gone much better than she had feared and that Lia had not been harmed. Cogsworth was planning to get a good night's sleep after their narrowly avoided crisis, while the Lumiere master was proud that he had been able to control his nerves. But outside the door, Madame Garderobe was watching her old friend more carefully than ever. For she knew that this would not be the end of the night, for she was cursed to see more than meets the eye and the real festivities would begin in seconds. Perhaps their only glimmer of hope for a return to their old selves would soon be shattered. But one hope was that the walls he thought had fallen would actually disappear to open new doors.
Eftalia's voice echoed throughout the castle as The Beast turned and was about to leave the room, and Cogsworth's horrified expression said it all as Mrs. Potts could only utter a silent cry of "No".
"Beast!" Eftalia shouted, her hands shaking with anger. She had no idea where this courage came from, but for the last few days her emotions had been running high and her patience had run out.
The beast turned around with a huff and looked at the young woman walking towards him with disbelieving eyes. Then, after glancing around the room at his friends, he turned his gaze back to Eftalia. But this time there was no surprise. Instead, there was anger in her eyes. Realizing this, Lumiere pleaded with his master, "Please calm down!" He pleaded, but it was too late.
"I know my parents are experts at screwing everything up," he closed his eyes in anger and when he opened them again, he was now a foot away from the Beast. "And I'm not the one you're expecting!" His voice was beginning to tremble, but the last thing he cared about right now was how he looked.
"Still, as a prince, I would expect you to be more respectful! After all the royal bullshit and all the training you've had, you should at least be able to form a sentence, shouldn't you! I don't know, at least say nice to meet you or welcome you!"
The drops on her eyelids had declared their independence, but the young woman was too angry to notice them.
"I know! I know I'm not what you expected or wanted! But at least I came here leaving everything behind," Lia continued after wiping her tears hard with the back of her hand, "At the very least, I think I deserve some respect if I wiped my freedom and my fucking life away in one fell swoop and came here as a prisoner."
When the beast took a step towards Lia and closed the gap, their breath touched each other's faces.
"Respect, is it?" The Beast growled. "Respect!" This time he grabbed her chin hard with his right paw. Because of the height difference between them, the Beast looked down on Lia in every sense.
"You lost all the respect you ever had, little lady, when your stupid parents meddled in matters that were none of your business!" Lia began to tremble with a mixture of fear and anger as a smile settled on the Beast's face, and it didn't help that the Beast held her chin with its claw.
"You said yourself that you agreed to come as a prisoner, so you must realize that you deserve to live as a prisoner." "Prepare one of the dungeons in the tower for Mademoiselle Eftalia, I am sure she will be very comfortable and happy there!" the Beast called out to Lumiere. Then he grabbed her by the chin and threw her to the ground. Lia, who found herself on the ground with the effect of the Beast's power and her strength depleted by fear, focused on the glass blue eyes with her wet eyes.
"You really are a monster!"
She heard Madame whisper that it couldn't be, but she didn't care about anything anymore.
With that last word, the Beast, who was furious, grabbed Lia, threw her over his shoulder and went up the tower with quick steps. Lia was not struggling, on the contrary, she was crying quietly and calmly. What could she do anyway.
When he reached the dungeons, the Beast opened the iron bars and threw her inside. He wanted to say something more, otherwise he would not be able to calm down. When he entered the dungeon and walked towards the girl lying on the floor, he stood there with her eyes red from crying and her body trembling with fear. The girl, exhausted with fear, gathered the last strength in her trembling lips and said, "Let me go! Let me go! Please, please don't hurt me!" As she began to sob, the Beast took a few steps back and began to climb out of the dungeon and down the tower.
Madame Garderobe walked confidently towards her friend, and everyone in the castle was at a loss. Madame broke the silence, "She lost her freedom and her family on the same day. You could have been more sensitive!" She scolded the prince in front of her.
When The Beast decided to speak up in his defense, he said, "I let him stay in one room, but what did he do to me? What did you expect me to do! Pretend nothing happened!" His voice was so harsh that it could have broken every window in the castle.
Madame, unlike everyone else, was very bored by this situation and she knew very well that the young man in front of her was not like that.
"But we act like nothing happened! We've been living for years as if we're not like this because of you! Which one of us has ever rebelled against you! Which one of us! But enough! Don't you realize that this girl could be the one! I can't let you fuck us all up like this! Get a hold of yourself! Enough! Lumiere burns every day! Cogsworth is rusting, Potts is breaking, we're dying!"
The deathly silence in the castle continued exponentially, tears welling up in everyone's eyes. A quiet "I'm sorry" from The Beast When it came, Madame Garderobe tried to calm down, regretting having gone a little too far. But someone had to be overwhelmed and remind her Master. But no one received a response from her Master that she did not expect.
"Such a beautiful woman, such a free spirit," he sighed, stepping towards the stairs of the West wing.
"Can he love The Beast?"

Author's Note:
This story has always been different for me. Written in the summer of 2021, it was a story that won many different fanfictiion awards in the same month.
I've said many times before that I was undecided whether to translate it into English or not because I didn't want it to lose its meaning. Here it was discovered and understood by so many beautiful people, I can't tell you how happy I am to be able to convey my vision.
This story was conceived from the very beginning as a mini-story, so for now we say goodbye to Lia and the others, but I have many more ideas in mind. As always, I am open to anything you would like to see and read. I hope you have enjoyed the journey.
and last but not least, I want to say that this never started out as an overly romantic and sweet story, so I trust that you will understand me in the end. as a third stream feminist, I started this journey through the place and expectation of women in families and patriarchal societies, and I think there are small tantrums and things that need to be done at the end.
Enjoy your reading.

Despite the approaching rain, Lia didn’t bother to quicken her steps.
What had she been through! Was it all over now?
The ache of leaving her friends behind was heavy, but it didn’t hurt as much as the fact that she was now a murderer. And not just a murderer—a cold-blooded one.
As the rain intensified, she clutched the rose in her hand tighter than ever before. It felt as if loosening her grip even slightly would cause her entire life to slip away—just like the love of her life had slipped through her fingers.
My God, how had she left him there, in his own blood, to wander to this unknown place?
The rain poured down harder, as if it knew all of Lia’s sins, while the darkening sky tried to veil her actions. Every strike of lightning revealed the blood on the ground for a few seconds with brutal clarity—but it was already far too late.
Soaking wet from the storm, she finally began to run. She didn’t know where she was going, or to whom.
Should she go home? After all, she was a free woman now.
HOME.
But where was home, really?
The joints in her fingers throbbed from gripping the rose so tightly. Then, in the darkness of the forest, a large iron gate appeared before her. Given the eerie sounds coming from the woods and the raging storm, she knocked without a second thought— —but the gate creaked open by itself, unsettlingly loud.
She stepped onto the path cautiously but swiftly, and soon she reached the grand structure at the end of it.
The night had become so dark, merging with the thick storm clouds above, that visibility was nearly zero. Without getting a proper look at the house, she reached for the door knocker. From its shape, she could tell it was designed like an animal’s head—maybe a lion, or a wolf? It was hard to tell in the dark.
She exhaled shakily, trying to gather herself, to cast away every thought. She straightened her shoulders, raised her chin—the old strong Lia, or what remained of her, took over for a moment. She erased all the disappointment from her eyes, along with the memories. She didn’t know what awaited her behind this door. All she wanted was a place to wait until the rain passed. After that, she’d figure it out somehow.
She stood there, rose in hand, waiting for the door to open. What patience she showed—truly, not what one would expect from Lia.
Finally, the door opened.
A white-haired man in his fifties, with a mustache and a crisp suit, appeared. At first glance, he looked very much like the butler of this grand house. After a small nod of greeting, Lia realized from his expectant gaze that she should speak.
“Uh—sorry, I didn’t mean to bother you,” she began, unsure how to explain herself. But she was already here, wasn’t she? She had to start somewhere. “I got turned around on my way home and… kind of doubled the distance by accident,” she said with a self-deprecating chuckle, waving her hand in the air. How easily she had learned to lie.
“I was wondering if I might wait here until the rain passes?”
Before the butler could respond, a tall figure appeared behind him. The man was blonde, with an undeniably noble posture and an incredibly sculpted body. One glance at his clothing, and Lia could tell he was someone of high status. Not knowing exactly how to act, she prepared herself to make a more formal gesture.
“What’s going on here?” the man asked as he approached.
Lia was suddenly overcome by a fear she couldn’t explain. She instinctively avoided his gaze. The man she assumed was the butler began explaining the situation to his "Master."
As soon as the explanation ended, the nobleman's eyes shifted to Lia. After scanning her quite thoroughly, he asked:
“And what can you offer us in return?”
Lia fell into a brief silence, her eyes dropping to the rose she had never let go of. Then, as her gaze met his once again, her breath caught in her throat. The man followed her eyes to the rose and let out a mocking smile.
“You offer us a single rose in exchange for shelter?” he said, already turning his back to her as he gave his butler the order to close the door.
Just as he walked away, Lia murmured something about how beauty could lie within, not just on the outside. But her ears were ringing so loudly, and her eyes stinging from the tears, she couldn’t even hear her own voice.
And then—Lia realized she couldn't take it anymore.
Everything had become far too much.
She couldn’t find the strength to endure it.
Without hesitation, she pushed herself through the door before it could shut. Her rain-soaked dress clung to her body. The dried traces of blood on her skin had come alive again with the rain, like fresh wounds.
Those who saw her in that state were horrified, and Lia, recognizing a few familiar faces, wondered if she was in the midst of a breakdown.
She saw the man walking up the stairs to the West Wing—surely him—and ran after him, screaming:
“You really are a Beast!”
Cries of revolt echoed from everyone in the castle. Her eyes met those of a woman with orange hair. The woman lowered her head; she knew what was coming. After all, she was cursed to always see beyond appearances. She had just hoped—foolishly—that this time it might be different.
But it was not.
As Prince Thomas William Hiddleston turned around in fury, only one word left his lips:
“Eftalia.”
The young woman fell to her knees, sobbing, and the rose—still tightly gripped in her hand—began to glow.
As one by one, the inhabitants were cursed once again, Eftalia cursed her own life.
Lumiere turned back into wax.
Cogsworth became mechanical once more.
Mrs. Potts regained her porcelain body.
Madame’s face, wrapped in the warmth of her orange curls, shimmered as gold slowly claimed it once more.
Featherduster felt sharp needles piercing through her skin.
And finally, when the Prince collapsed, only the blue eyes remained behind the Beast that had reclaimed him. The only thing left of the man.
The rose glowed brighter than ever before.
And the story ended—behind kneeling bodies, behind broken faith, behind the illusion of love.
Only to begin again.
And again.
And again.
The End.

warnings: domestic manipulation, discrimination, deal, moving into the unknown, sister rivalry, monster.
summary:Lia meets a new member of the household and learns some of the truth about the curse of the palace.
Tumblr media
Lia slowly opened her eyes, not knowing how many hours she had slept. She had surrendered to sleep as soon as she lay down on the wide bed. Crushed under the weight of her thoughts, she forgot that she hadn't slept for days, or rather, that she couldn't sleep. Until her body was alone with the soft surface. Sitting up on his elbows, he looked towards the window without getting out of bed. It was already getting dark. He let out a deep sigh and threw himself back on the bed..
As she studied the decorations on the ceiling, she wondered what she should do. She was hungry, but this was a big castle and she had absolutely no faith that he could find the kitchen on her own. She could ask Cogsworth or Lumiere, but she didn't know where to find them. And maybe there was a dinner hour and she had to wait for it. Maybe she had already missed his lunch hour. Maybe they weren't eating as part of the effects of the curse, who knows? In that case, should she go and remind him? After all, wasn't he a prisoner or a guest? As much as she was not in the habit of following the rules, she knew it would not be appropriate.
And she didn't know what to do if he left the room and met the Beast. What was she like? It was said in the town that the curse was because of his arrogance and ugly spirit. Lia was not sure she wanted to communicate with someone who had inflicted such cruelty on her own household. She had been here for almost a day. Should she go and meet him? After all, he was the landlord. Well, if he was the landlord, he could at least come and say welcome, right? Lia knew he had once been a prince, albeit a monster. How rude and inconsiderate. No wonder he turned into a monster…
A knock on her door brought Lia out of her thoughts. While she was excited with the hope that maybe it was food, she was starting to get scared with the possibility that it was the Beast.
"Wh-who is it?" he finally managed to say, cursing herself for stuttering.
"Mrs Potts, dear," said the velvety voice outside the door.
Lia quickly recovered, reached the door in three steps and opened it. There stood a blonde woman with a porcelain body. As Lia thought about how terrible the curse on this castle was, she realized that the women had lost none of their beauty. The woman with the porcelain body had cracks on her body. The blue brush strokes on her body overlapped with the motifs of classical Chinese porcelain. While her blue eyes bore the tired traces of her past, her crow's feet revealed all the sadness and the hopes she still harbored..
She came in with a tray, placed it on the bed, sat down herself and tapped the bed, beckoning Lia to sit down too.
After closing the door gently with both hands, Lia walked over to the bed with a small smile and sat down. She couldn't help studying the woman in front of her, but she often averted her eyes because she was too embarrassed to be embarrassed.
"You don't have to be afraid of us, honey." With a smile, she placed her porcelain hand on Lia's right hand. She shivered slightly at the coldness of the porcelain but tried not to show it.
"I'm Mrs. Potts, head housekeeper of this castle. You don't know how happy we are to have you among us, my dear. Of course, we would not have wanted you to come in such captivity, but I assure you that this is your home now, too, so never hesitate to do anything." She spoke without wiping the smile off her face for a moment. Lia was content with a slight smile. There were so many questions in her head but she didn't know how to start. She didn't know the people here, even though she had been very welcome since she arrived. And she had reservations about what to say and how to behave, given the situation they were in.
Mrs. Potts interjected as if she had read her mind, "You must have a lot of problems, and you must not know where to start, don't worry." She took the tray of tea and poured it into the cups, poured a little milk over it, stirred it gently and then took the spoon out and handed the cup to Lia. "Why don't you sit back and sip your tea and I'll tell you everything you need to know."
As the conversation continued, Mrs. Potts explained to Lia at length how the curse came about and how long they had been in this state. She explained that if the curse was not broken before the last petal of the rose fell, they would be in this state forever, but she did not tell Lia the condition required for the curse to be broken. When Lia finally worked up the courage to ask questions, it was time for the obvious question.
"So, uh, what's he like? The Beast?" She asked shyly, but that was the thing she was most curious about even before she came. Who was he? What was he like?
Mrs. Potts smiled sympathetically and agreed with her curiosity. She was haunted by the thought that maybe this was the girl, but she didn't want to rely entirely on that possibility.
"Lord, he was very understanding. He was not yet born when I started here. When the prince was born, there were forty days and forty nights of festivities all over the country. The prince was a blessing, after his birth the land was very fertile and everyone was peaceful and safe. The Prince was very intelligent. He always learned to read and write before his peers. While they were learning to spell, the Prince was already reading Shakespeare. He was always fond of literature and wherever he went, whichever room he entered, he always had a book or two in his hand. He was also very talented in languages. He speaks English, French, Greek and Spanish. I think there was another language, but I can't remember it now as I barely know one of them." She and Lia chuckled at each other. The girl opened her eyes wide, listening with extreme attention to every word Mrs. Potts was saying.
"He was always full of life, a gentleman. He was the kind of person everyone would want to have in their life. He was a great listener and a master of the mind. How many times did I go to him and ask him to show me the way out before I even realized how old I was." As the sparkle in her eyes began to give way to a misty look, Lia knew something was wrong.
"Let's leave the telling part of the story here today, you must be exhausted," Lia suggested, but Mrs. Potts shook her head no and a tear had already fallen from her eye onto her porcelain skin.
"I know what they say about him now, a terrible, cruel Beast, who cursed an entire castle with his arrogance. But he wasn't always like this. That cheerful, handsome young man turned into a tyrant before my eyes," a sob escaped her mouth and Lia hugged the porcelain woman sitting next to her. She was at a loss as to what to do. Her situation was getting stranger by the second.
Finally Mrs. Potts wiped away her tears and pulled herself together. Lia knew that there were pieces left missing from the story, but for the moment she was not going to press the issue, after all, she was here for a long time. Surely she would have time to find out what was missing from the story.
"Oh how rude we are! And thoughtless… You've been here for hours and you haven't had a bite to eat. You must be hungry, we'll fix you something to eat right away." Lia would have moaned with happiness when she stood up. She stood up quickly, Mrs. Potts took the tray from the bed and they headed for the kitchen.

warning: domestic manipulation, discrimination, deal, moving into the unknown, sister rivalry, monster.
summary: Lia volunteers to go to the Beast's castle to save her cousin's future. In fact, Lia's family does not want Zoe (Lia's cousin) to go.
Tumblr media
On a November morning, when the intermediate winter had not yet set in, the sun was itching to come out. It was the first light of the morning, when the sky was painted in shades of red, resembling a small murder.
The crowd in the not very large living room was arguing heatedly. So much so that their voices carried out of the room. The young woman stood on the doorjamb listening to the discussion inside. Trying to control her nerves, she waited patiently and quietly. When the sounds from inside diminished, she thought the argument was over. He opened the door with great care to find out the final result. Thankful that the doors were freshly polished, he continued to listen to his family's conversation.
“You want us to leave Zoe in the middle of nowhere? That's not possible! She has a very bright future. She is a beautiful and charming young woman. She will save her life by making a good marriage. But not there, you know that, brother-in-law?” Even though he couldn't see his aunt when she finished, he knew she was rubbing her face with her hands. He couldn't stop the whole argument, but he could almost see where the conversation was going.
His aunt was sort of right. Her whole family had worked for her cousin Zoe for years. She fit the profile of the perfect daughter everyone wanted to have. That was why no one had objected. Not even Lia. What could she say, Zoe was in every way the “good” daughter a home should have. She was sympathetic, warm-blooded, coquettish but shy, good with her hands, good at sewing but not much else. By making a good marriage, she could raise her family's name and ensure a better standard of living for everyone. Both for her siblings and her cousins. Although Lia and Zoe were aunt's children, they lived in the same house and grew up like sisters. In fact, it might have been too much like that. Zoe was two years older than Lia, but outsiders often thought Lia was older. This was not because Lia had a more mature body, but because of her “tomboy” demeanor, as the townspeople called it.
After her aunt, she heard her father's voice. “This,” he took a deep breath, the man, now well past his fifties, sounded angry and tired at the same time. “What do we know about this prince?”
“He comes from a very old family, I think of French or English blood,” Zoe replied.
“Yes, he comes from such a noble family that no one has heard of him for so many years” the male cousin began to speak, his voice rising in pitch with each word. “We're talking about a monster, a MONSTER! And I'm not just saying that as a figure of speech, you've heard everyone say he really is a monster.”
As her family continued to argue, each voice was different. One after another, her mother and aunts agreed that it would be best for Zoe to marry a prince.
Her younger male cousins and siblings - the youngest one involved in this conversation was sixteen - raised their voices, saying over and over again that they did not understand why anyone in her family should marry this prince.
Finally, there was a thud. Lia's father had slammed his fist on the table. And it was not a metaphorical blow. The old man was so fed up with everyone's different voices that he slammed his fist on the small wooden coffee table in front of him to silence the whole hall. Even though Lia couldn't see it, she could tell by the sound that the coffee table was cracking and even one of its legs was moving.
“Enough!” Her father said, not shouting, but the harshness in his voice was clear. “I'm not too keen on Zoe going to that palace either. But I think you should realize that we have to,” he took a deep breath and continued. “This is not a game or I will choose a good marriage!” she continued as she turned her gaze to her male cousin, two years younger than Lia ”If you hadn't succumbed to your absurd curiosity of youth and masculinity we wouldn't be having this conversation right now! We are forcing your sister to make a pact with a monster because you have something to prove by entering that manor because you are a MAN,” he turned his gaze to his wife and sisters, ”This is not something we can go and brag about Zoe in this town! I don't want to talk like this in front of the children, but we have no choice. It's not a blank check! We don't have a choice! They've made it very clear that either we give our daughter Zoe to that monster or they're going to slaughter our whole family. And we don't even know if it's a human being saying that!” The man kept walking back and forth in anger.
One of his aunts started to say something about how they were so willing to throw away Zoe's entire future and how all these years of hard work were going to go to waste. Zoe is the one and only of the family, this shouldn't be her fate.
By the time she realized that the argument inside was not going to end, Lia had had enough. Throwing aside her calmness of all this time, she quickly opened the door and burst in, so to speak. This is exactly what was expected of her. To ignore the rules, to be expendable.
“I'll go,” she said without breaking her calm demeanor. With his entire family gawking at him, he rolled his eyes and continued.
“Didn't that monster prince want a girl from the family? Here I go, I volunteer. And Zoe can make the perfect marriage and save all your lives. Because that's my sister's whole life goal,” he continued with a disapproving look on Lia's face. “And what's the most that can happen, it'll be fun. Isn't it?”
“And who could love a monster?”

With every step, a new page of a new life was opening. As she followed Lumiere, she did not neglect to examine the surroundings. The fear in her grew with each step, while a hopeful excitement blossomed.
This place was very different from the place where Lia was born and raised. She wanted to touch every single tile behind the wall she passed and read about the lives she had witnessed.
Yet the town she came from, the house she grew up in, was home to shallow and monotonous lives. A group of people who only cared about raising their daughters to be beautiful brides and making good marriages, a bunch of people who called themselves socialites, but who could not even pass through the back streets of the royalty.
Lumiere made a noise to announce his arrival, but Lia was so lost in thought that she didn't notice. When Lumiere gently took Eftalia's arm, the young woman winced at the warmth she felt, and it was the only way she could get out of her thoughts.
“I'm sorry Mademoiselle, I didn't mean to hurt you. I just called out but you didn't hear me,” the man in front of her said embarrassedly.
Lia smiled and said it didn't matter. Lumiere opened the door they were standing in front of and went inside. Then he motioned for Lia to come in as well.
The room they were in was furnished in the Victorian style of the eighteen hundreds, relatively small and modest considering the chateau. It was, of course, considerably larger than any room in Lia's house, but it would have been unreasonable to compare it to any other house in town.
“Mademoiselle Eftalia, this is my least favorite friend, Cogsworth.” He said, directing Lia to the man in front of her. After seeing Lumiere, Lia had thought that everyone here was surrounded by the same curse. Bodies turned to wax, hands giving off heat, and beams of light coming out of the slits in their faces. But as soon as she saw Cogsworth, she realized that this was a curse that belonged only to Lumiere.
Cogsworth was very different. It was as if the middle-aged man in front of him had turned into a machine. There was a half wheel covering the right side of his face. The other half of the wheel was invisible, but you could see the cracks under her left eye where it had entered her face. Horrified by what she saw, Lia didn't know how to react. She shook her head, trying not to lose her composure, and held out her hand to Cogsworth, trying to keep it from trembling.
"Mademoiselle Eftalia, it is an honor to meet you, sir. Personally, I was expecting Mademoiselle Zoelle to be the butler of this castle, but we will stick with what we have, won't we?" He giggled as if it was a very funny thing to say and wiped a tear from her eye. Then she turned around and said "Madame Garderobe, please escort Mademoiselle to her room, she must be tired, let her have a good rest and then we will see."
The person he recognized as Madame Garderobe stood up from her seat and came to them. She was a very beautiful woman. Her onion-orange hair was shadowed by no curse. Gold inlaid reliefs in the Classical Baroque style, in the shape of 's' and 'c', framed her body, starting from her arms and extending to her neck. Lia could not help admiring the woman's curse. She was probably in a lot of pain, but she was also beautiful. From her neck to her face, the golden varakkar rose vaguely, and there was a dimple that started around her left eye and wrapped around her right eye. In stark contrast to the reliefs, this pit surrounded her eyes like a mask. The blood from the ditch around her eyes had dried over time, giving Madame not only a horrible expression but also a very vampy look.
Lia was finally able to put her fascination aside, return to reality and stop examining Madame. Turning to Cogsworth, she could only ask, "The room?" When Lumiere and Cogsworth looked at her blankly, she felt the need to explain himself. "I thought I would stay in the dungeon, after all I know I am not here as a guest, Monsieur Cogsworth." She explained herself. No matter how strong she tried to keep her voice, it began to tremble towards the end. Lumiere smiled at her words and Madame made a 'Uh-huh' sound. After glancing at Lia, she said, "Come on, honey, let's get you to your room so you can get yourself together, the real festivities haven't even started yet."
As Eftalia followed Madame to her room, she couldn't stop thinking about the three people she had seen and what had happened. The words of the woman she was following echoed in her mind as she tried to figure out what she meant by the evening's festivities. At the same time, he still had not met his 'masters'.
Madame, on the other hand, looked at the thoughtful girl who was following her with a glimmer of hope. This was not the girl they were expecting, in fact Zoelle was much more beautiful, with silky blonde hair, quiet and calm, the ideal town girl. But Zoelle's cousin volunteered for her family's predicament and willingly came to the Beast's castle. And at the risk of living in a dungeon. She wondered what she had come here thinking. How she had prepared herself to save her family from a fearful monster. Not even Madame knew what her literary friend, the Master, would do to this young girl.
The townspeople talked incessantly about Eftalia. Of course, these conversations reached Madame's ears. Callous, stubborn, disobedient, naughty, tomboyish, sullen bitch and many other words were used to describe the young girl. But when Madame looked at the girl following her, she saw something completely different. After all, she was cursed to see more than meets the eye. Madame knew it the first time she saw the girl in front of her, trembling with fear but at the same time trying to hide her admiration and amazement.
Eftalia pressed her full lips together, restraining herself not out of fear but because she wanted to say what was on her mind to people who deserved it. Her auburn hair was unkempt not out of tomboyishness or callousness, but because she couldn't bear to be bound in the face of her free spirit. The coldness in her blue eyes was not because she was a sullen bitch. It was because she was fighting against the absurdity that in a male-dominated world, the only goal of all the women in her family was to be good wives. She was a cold bitch because she didn't want to marry every man she saw and wouldn't give in. She had no problem with that. She wanted to live her life on her own two feet, wherever her free spirit took her. Maybe one day she would meet someone she would really fall in love with and share something with, and then, contrary to her family's expectations, she wanted someone who would share a future with her, apart from being a good wife. In love with art, breathing in cultures, she could not waste her days knitting and preparing meals for her beloved husband every evening.
Despite all this, she had come to spend his life in a dungeon, leaving everything behind, disregarding his free spirit. Moreover, contrary to all his truths and dreams.
Madame had only one question on her mind as she waited to publicly express her admiration for Eftalia's courage.
"Could it have been her?"
As he took his steps with relief, he was aware of the monster watching him from the inner balcony of the West Wing.
But there was only one question on the Beast's mind.
"Who would willingly come to a monster's castle? Who could love an ugly monster? Could this girl be that girl?"

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there was a prince who lived in a glittering castle.

Author's Note for the Episode 8 - Circus
