i think some people got the wrong message after watching every movie where mean bullies call the quirky but ultimately loveable protagonist a "freak"

calling people freaks isn't bad just because sometimes you're wrong and that weird girl was actually very nice and saved everyone at prom from a mummy's curse.

calling people freaks is bad because dividing the world into "good people who are normal" and "bad people who are abnormal" makes you a tedious goddamn asshole

hiiiiii everyone i'm just popping in to say that i probably won't be online much for a bit, meaning the queue will go on as always but i can't really answer asks much :( will be back on track as soon as i can!

i just want to be really loud about the fact that i 100% believe so very strongly in t4t shiny duo (not ccs obvs). gem bc she has ANTLERS! woo! canon trans character in my books! and pearl bc she's an alien and her species doesn't have gender, so she chose to be female upon interacting with more and more humans.

The permanence and flexibility of fiction is so amazing to me. In the BBC Sherlock universe, that I'm deeply invested in, time has flown. Rosie is growing up, the boys are ageing, and Mrs Hudson has, in all probability, passed on. (Can't imagine them replacing dear Una if they ever come back.) Crime-solving days, if not over, must be completely altered. The running around and odd hours and danger-addiction and strange experiments and giggling at crime scenes.. must all be slipping away. They are no longer boys, being fussed over by an equal parts charming and badass not-housekeeper (read: mother), but grown-ups expected to be fussing over a young child. It's a beautiful thing on its own, but its also bittersweet.

Just when this is happening though, there's another universe born. There's Sherlock&Co to look forward to, where Sherlock and John (and the amazing Mariana) are all young again, solving crimes, giggling inappropriately, and running around London at all sorts of hours. It's a breath of fresh air, a do-over, a wheel-of-time reversed. Of course, they're not the same characters... but in a way, they also are. At least I can imagine they are, and that they've been given a second chance at life. In a way, perhaps, Holmes and Watson have been getting innumerable such chances since Doyle first created them. :')

I find it both deeply comforting and at times, (childishly) unsettling. For it is a privilege fictional characters get to have and we never would.

(It's mostly a comfort, though. Especially because dear old Sherlock gets to have that second chance, over and over again. And I do adore him so! <3)

i could write valuable meta about specific ways in which lila and pasquale see beyond intended reality and elena and enzo see beyond intended reality and how it has to do with where you stand as the analyst and how you don't get the entire picture if you don't combine the knowledge from the very edge of the world and knowledge from the very centre of it, but i'm making this post about how much i love these photos for now

After 15 or so years I have finally gotten around to porting old flipnotes off of my ds. It's made me feel a strange kind of longing.. or satisfaction, I'm not sure which. I have so many old creations I made in elementary and middle school that I always added end credits to in hopes that I could figure out how to upload them to youtube, but I never got around to it because I was an extremely technologically ignorant kid. So, having a way to finally do that.. it's fulfilling, I guess. I wish I had gotten around to it sooner, it was just something I kept putting off. Maybe I can share some of them here with you all once I have them all secure? I've actually been working on a project where I'm remaking my very first finished flionote on there, so maybe more like that in the future..

Like I knew repatriates were rare, but Fragile can teleport??

So, Fragile uses the beach to teleport and it takes a lot out of her (showing off to Sam and then getting a bloody nose from overexertion like girl what LOL). According to her, everyone has their own Beach, so to speak. Does that make the Beach a manifestation of the connection the human psyche has to the afterlife? That doesn't change my theories much actually.

The question then is, does everyone's beach look like Sam's? Like if Fragile can transport her physical body to the Beach (where I assume little time passes) and then choose where in the real world her body reappears, is it purely psychological? Does she have to go to a specific place on the Beach, or does taking her body out of the physical world give it an element of flexibility.

I wonder if it's not like picking up an ant and being able to easily set them wherever you want because you can see and reach so much more than they can. Of course there is a cost in bringing her physical body to a place that is not meant for that. If it is a place for souls, the physical has no place there.

That would mean the terrorist guy who can summon BTs can do that because it's his DOOMS ability.

On that note, why would Fragile work with him? Does she also know whatever the truth about the Death Stranding is?

The more I discover, the more questions I have.
