So we have autism and sometimes we go nonverbal, only able to make some sounds but not others that make up English.

We’re nonverbal at work and vocally stimming with a made up song when we have an idea and open up our cursed and abandoned Duolingo app. (We know we know)

We pull up the Hawaiian course and start plugging at when we start saying the words aloud. The syllables that make up Hawaiian match the few sounds we’re capable of making.

So we can’t speak English....

But we can speak Hawaiian?????????
