And then when we say "No, we do not want you in our spaces, you are dangerous" - we retroactively, throughout the entirety of history, justified their radicalisation and abuse of women. By saying no *today* we have single handedly caused incel culture, the male loneliness epidemic, the trans suicide rate, the actions of male school shooters.

I don't see a lot of this recently but I've always thought that it's a bad idea to go "you won't pass as a woman" to tims even as a jab because there are transwomen who pass completely fine. I've seen radfems on twitter fall for the bait by tras and call biological women transwomen because of their facial features or body shape. it frankly shouldn't matter to you as a feminist if a man can look like a woman, it's about if he can be one and he can't and we should move the focus of the argument on that part.

the issue with "people with uteruses" isn't that it's dehumanizing. that's an issue for terms like "uterus bearers, menstruaters, carrying bodies" etc. the issue with "people with uteruses" is that it removes the ability for women to productively discuss our issues and our oppression, for us to name that we face the injustice we face because we are women. it's the deliberate suppression of women's class consciousness

If transmen are men, why are they being allowed to have any say in what women are called?

If identity trumps all, and (female) nonbinaries and transmen have opted out of being women, why do they get any say in women's issues? I mean, opting out of womanhood is supposed to erase whatever discrimination they face from being women, right?

Someone today kept insisting to me that I must be non-binary because I’ve dressed as a man for a couple theatre productions in the past and generally prefer pants to dresses (it’s too cold when I walk to work for dresses rn), despite me saying over and over that I was born a woman, I am a woman, and I am happy being a woman, and if that doesn’t say something about the state of identity politics these days I don’t know what does.
