this is so unbelievably stupid that i can't believe it works, but i live in a heavily wooded wetland area with a billion birds, and since i haven't been able to set up my window cage idea bc i have been Busy, i moved a couple bird feeders to outside my window and put peanuts and millet to attract the bluejays and red-winged blackbirds, and now when little mister pisser comes back the birds freak out and do their alarm calls and i know to get up and close it so he just sprays the glass lmaooo ancient problems require ancient solutions??? i guess???

i live in a basement so my windows are at ground level outside and one of the neighbours has a new outdoor (unfixed, male) cat who can smell my (fixed) female cats, and now that the weathers nice and i can open the window, the little cunt has been spraying INTO MY FUCKING ROOM, so now i have to buy some chicken wire and build a fence around my windows, goddamnit

warnings: panic attack, anxiety, crying, mental health, depression, sleepless night.

that's my situation right now (ofc without JJ so I decided to write this)

You were diagnosed with depression at the age of fifteen years old. You've been taking medication since then but it feels like they don't help you anyway.

Right now you are laying on your bed facing the ceiling. There's a boy next to you who is also laying on his back but with his eyes closed calmly breathing in and out.

Your chest is pounding and you trying to ignore that feeling but it gets so bad to the point where this pounding fills your ears and your head is starting to hurt extremely bad.

You are starting to breath very quickly and it's getting you even more stressed because you haven't felt this way for a really long time.

You tried to calm yourself down but you couldn't manage to control your breathing so you turn to the side. Face directly looking at the blond boy.

Waking him up wasn't in your business but you thought that's the only way to settle down.

You delicately put your head on his chest. More specific at his heart. You are starting to listen to the biting.

Suddenly you felt his big hand stroking your hair.

"What happened baby? Bad dreams?". He asked in whisper.

"I can't sleep." You are starting to sob feeling overstimulated with your emotions. "I-I don't know why I'm just anxious about everything and..."

"Shh... That's okay Sunny." He didn't stop stroking your hair. "Think about something nice". His lips at your temple. "Like maybe our surf trip after graduation."

"Please tell me about it" You said clinging to his shirt.

"Alright baby. We are going to be in every country we want. Italy, Spain, France, Croatia and even more. We are going to send postcards to our friends from every place we visit. I'm going to take you on real dates. But not that expensive shit. We are going to be on the beach. I will catch a fish for dinner and pick a mango for dessert. Oh, and we are going to drink the coconut water. At the night when the moon is going to be full we will be watching the stars while cuddling with each other. Maybe we will even spot a shooting star. If it's even possible I know what I would wish for. I know my wish. I already got it. It's laying just beside me."

At the sign of his last sentence you finally fell asleep still holding tight into JJ's body dreaming of your surf trip that you couldn't wait for.

JJ was watching and making sure that you were completely relaxed in your dream. He kissed your jaw and whispered to your ear. "I love you".

You said "I love you" as well but to the JJ you were dreaming of.

Joel’s eyes narrow on Tommy’s and he slams the glass bottle of instant coffee down on the counter. “Kinda what? If you’re gonna say somethin’-- fuckin’ say it.” He growls. 

“This is fucked, Joel. Really fucked– how do you expect me to not have questions when you’ve been gone– no note, nothin’ to let us know you were okay. Didn’t even wanna drop by for a lil visit or anything,” Tommy scoffs and takes a step back, giving his brother some space. 

“I didn’t know I was gon’ be gone that long and I couldn’t just ‘drop by’. Got pinned down by a bunch’a infected tryin’ to help that woman–”

“You’ve been with ‘that woman’ for eight months and you don’t even know her name?” Tommy sounds completely flabbergasted.

Has every right to be. 

“She don’t even know her name, Tommy! She’s all kinds of fucked-up– don’t even get me started on all that! Fuckin’ talkin’ to herself all the damn time, been all alone in those woods for just over a decade–”

“How do you know that? The crazy woman told you?” Tommy scoffs and runs both of his hands through his hair, taking a deep breath. 

Joel says nothing as Tommy walks over to the dining room table, pulls out one chair and then pulls out the other and takes a seat, motioning for Joel to come sit down. Begrudgingly, Joel abandons the coffee crystals on the counter and sits down across from his brother. 

“She’s crazy– and she might be lyin’ about a lot… but I believe that she’s been alone out there for at least ten years, Tommy.” Joel rests his elbows on his knees and laces his fingers together. 

Tommy leans back in his chair and brings his ankle up to rest on the opposite knee, “Alright, that’s true, fine. Let’s say all that bullshit you said about the infected is true, too.” Tommy shakes his head from side to side, almost indiscernible as he rolls his eyes, “It does not explain why she’s wearin’ a fuckin’ leash and locked into a fucking shock collar, Joel! That you have the remote duct taped to your fuckin’ palm like a psychopath–”

Joel sits up straight and points his index finger at Tommy, “She was outta control–” he starts, but he gets interrupted. 

“Probably ‘cause you were tryin’ to padlock a shock collar on her!” Tommy almost laughs, but then narrows his eyes at Joel. “Outta control? She’s half the size of you–” 

Joel points to the four fresh scratches down the side of his cheek and his black eye. 

Tommy blinks at him for a moment. “That doesn’t help your case, man. All that tells me is she did not want to come with you… so what do I do now?” Tommy raises one eyebrow and shrugs his shoulders. “Most importantly… what’s she gonna tell Maria?”

little kids make me laugh. i was at a party yesterday and a kid was there and she noticed that i have a long straight cut along the length of my thumb and asked about it, so i told her it was a cat scratch, almost healed, didn't hurt. and then she was sorta staring and touching it for a bit and went "you had bone surgery. because there were termites in your bones."
