You smile, seeing your advantage here. "Gumdrop." Before you even finish, he's shielding his face away, giggling relentlessly, rays spinning furiously.

The only reason @trailore was at the firepit tonight was because she was looking to buy some weed from Eddie. The two had gone to school together, Eddie even being held back a couple years until they were graduating together. She hadn't necessarily had his number, but it hadn't been too hard to track him or his down. She'd managed to instead find him, locating his uncle's trailer just an hour before sundown when the trailer park would come to life. Eddie had been about to head over and start getting settled in, instead coming face to face with a petite blonde blushing with shy confessions. She needed weed, but she didn't want everyone knowing she was buying. Her best friend knew Eddie could get her some.

He had taken far too long to answer her and she began introducing herself as if he hadn't known who she was, but he did. He's known who Chrissy was since that all those talent show practices in middle school. She had a cheer routine he couldn't remember anything from, but damn could he recall her smile. So as she said who she was he quickly shook his head and stepped aside to usher her in. He said he knew who she was and she was welcome to come in.

He ended up insisting she stay and hangout with everyone. Assuring her that everyone at it wouldn't go crying to her daddy about what she was doing, no. Most of them were running from their own thoughts and feelings to instead enjoy this time together instead. The group was good, calm, lighthearted. There was good humor and even better weed. It was the perfect place for Chrissy to have her first smoke. Roman even talked her through it some, chuckling gently and rubbing her back a little when she coughed.

At some point into their high and the night, Eddie and Chrissy were sat in the hammock side by side with their legs hung over their edge. The dip of the fabric made it so their hands were practically tangled and their arms pressed flush. He was listening to her project about why she was here and she let out a sigh along with a quiet, “i just want to feel something.”

Eddie quirked a brow at that as he looked down at her, examining her expression and blinking in thought before asking his question, "Do you feel something now?" He meant with the weed, the atmosphere. It was free of her father's watchful eye.. however it was she did that. He gives a short shrug of one shoulder, "I got stronger stuff back at the trailer--"

one of the best steddie dynamics is because of their history and cliques they just don't ever think the other guy is gonna be into them.

literally all they'd have to do is be like "hey? you, me, bedroom?" and the other would be tripping over their pants but they think some convincing/flirting/courting needs to happen and so they spend way longer than they need to uselessly pining

I can always tell when the people who made some tarot-themed media/reference didn't really do their research because they'll always focus on Death as the Biggest, Scariest, Evilest card like oh no the worst card you could possibly draw its terrible!!! when in reality the death card almost never literally represents a death, it's a transition, rebirth, release, transformation. it can be death to old ways or relationships that are ready to be over or even death to your false perceptions of self and others, a realization you've been wrong and the chance for something new to come to fruition. sure the concept of death is scary I guess but it can also be so beautiful and positive.....if you're looking for scary tarot cards may I recommend the Devil (addiction, abuse, manipulation, being trapped) or the ten of swords (the end of all things, breaking point, pain, destruction of self or others, actually my least favorite card whenever I see this card I get chills it's like actually BAD NEWS)
