(But I sure do raise my eyebrows every time I see someone call Jake a persecutor. In the MCU, he's the only headmate who does 0% of the persecuting.)

We've GOT to stop saying that these "aren't gonna take long" because that is blatantly untrue lmao.

Anyways, thank you so much for being so patient with us over the 3 months now that this part has taken us to make, we all here of the Hive appreciate it greatly <3

I mentioned it jokingly but, no seriously, this time we're making no promises for how long part 4 will take. The only solace I can give is that it is shorter than part 3 and the only feature in it will be Doctor Erian. We've been through a lot recently, good, bad, and ugly, and because of recent events that we will NOT be disclosing publically for the sakes of integrity, privacy and maturity, Aik made the decision to retire from being the system's host a few weeks ago. Despite BA HRT's main character Ash being a pretty much direct insert of him, this does not mean there will be any cancellations or anything of that sort. They're still around, just a lot less often, and still acting as a sort of creative director of the Hive. With that being said, I'm sure you can understand how this has effected our ability to get stuff done.

Another thing kinda keeping me from being able to say when the next update may come is that Aik and another member of the Hive had made a deal a good bit ago (back when Aik was still the host) that after part 3 came out that a complete reconstruction of our personal schedule would be due. "The Reckoning" as we've come to call it. And yes, even though Aik retired, the reckoning is still upon us. It'll be good for us, I'm certain. We'll share as much of what comes from that when we can.

Lastly. College. The scapegoat for all of our lack of time for things hehe~

@gumworthweek 2024 Day 4 - Genderswap / Bodyswap

I'd like to think Edgeworth would be absolutely horrified to find out just how terrible Gumshoe feels on a daily basis! Since Gumshoe is a big guy who's spent years working a highly physically and mentally demanding job whilst too poor to eat and running on basically nothing but fumes, I think the likelihood of his health being in pretty bad shape is very likely, even after Edgeworth raises his wages. Experiencing it for himself really shocks Edgeworth into realising he needs to be even more committed to listening when Gumshoe complains of aches and pains or feeling tired — he doesn't want to lose his partner to a heart attack or other health condition, after all...!

My offering for the @startrekpotluck! I thought I'd showcase one of my favorite midwestern classics, the Pretzel Salad. + Recipe under the cut <3

PRETZEL SALAD

Supplies

9 X 13 Baking Pan/ Casserole Dish

Hand Mixer (Optional)

Crust Ingredients

6 Tbs Unsalted Butter

2 Cups Finely Crushed Salted Pretzels

3 Tbs Sugar

A Pinch of Salt

Filling Ingredients

8 Oz Cream Cheese

1 Cup Sugar

2 Cups Heavy Cream

1 Tsp Vanilla Extract

Strawberry Topping Ingredients

2 (3 Oz) Boxes of Strawberry Jello

2 Cups Boiling Water

4 Cups Sliced Strawberries

Instructions

Set out Cream Cheese to soften

Preheat oven to 400 F

Melt butter in medium bowl

Add crust ingredients to melted butter, stir until evenly moistened

Spread mixture on the bottom of your pan, press into even layer

Bake until fragrant (8 - 10 Minutes) then place aside to cool completely

Whip cream cheese and sugar in large bowl until smooth (Hand mixer on high if using one)

Beat in Heavy Cream and Vanilla Extract

Spread Filling over crust all the way to the sides (This is to make sure the crust doesn't get soggy with the topping)

Refrigerate until chilled (1 Hour)

Mix both boxes of Jello in large bowl with boiling water and whisk until dissolved

Refrigerate 30m (Jello should not be set, it should be about the consistency of a runny egg white)

Add strawberries to Jello and stir

Spread Jello over filling

Refrigerate uncovered until firmly set ( 4 Hours)

Serve chilled! :)

(PS. If you were curious I made up Dyrk - Boshak Kap. It's literal translation is cream filled bread. I couldn't find a lot of Vulcan desserts so I just kind of made one haha. I imagine it having some kind of fruit element and the bread is flakey like a pastry)

I love LOVE all the parallels between the three of them so much.

From their characterizations and their priorities,

Seth is exceedingly passionate. He cares a lot about the safety of every person and values his morals above all else. Yes, he's narrow-minded and stubborn, but he puts his 110% into everything he does. Because, to him, everything matters.

Jane is a schemer whose charisma is her greatest weapon.

Harumsa is a self-loathing pessimist under the facade of a snarky jokester.

Both him and Jane are tricksters that slink around the enemies with every dirty trick they know so long as it's effective/efficient. They lie and manipulate people if need be. They're obviously physically capable as well but they often rely on their words and their 'people skills' more than their fighting prowess.

Even so their methods sort of manifests in opposite directions.

Jane prefers to get up close and personal with her targets. She bides her time and turns their trust in her against them.

Harumasa prefers to strike from a distance and oftentimes doesn't even bother to get his hands dirty if he could help it.

The facades they wear are also out of different reasons, where one is more professional and another is personal. And yet, those carefully crafted walls would crumble at One stupid catboy (affectionate).

On a deeper level,

Seth happened to attract the most under-handed strategists and a large part of that, to me, is because of just how earnest he is that Jane and Harumasa become so easily endeared.

Something about that purity and naivety feels exceptionally different, it's unique and hopeful and bright, and it's everything they want to protect. It's almost contagiously positive that it gives them a bit of hope too. Especially for Jane, as she studies criminal activities and psychology on a daily basis, and Harumasa for... obvious reasons.

And I think that those feelings of admiration are entirely mutual. Seth might not fully know everything about Jane or Harumasa, but that immense respect translates into his trust for them. Between the teasing and jokes, there's a sincerity of 'I adore you for you and nothing else'. Even if it's not something he could explicitly decipher into comprehensive words, it's still felt.
