Who knew all it took to get blocked was to point out to people that maybe, just maybe, accidentally arguing that being trans is a choice isn’t a good position to take because it dismisses and invalidates trans people? Not me, apparently.

And yes, I’m specifically saying that gender as a social construct dismisses and invalidates trans people because it’s not possible to sever that idea from the concept of being able to choose your own gender and therefore being able to choose to be cis if you wanted to.

Thoughts on ducks?

I have a complicated history with ducks. The class I remember being the big “ah ha” moment for having to leave university was a whole course on wildlife management which required learning the common names of, Latin names of, diets of, appearance of, range of, etc. of a whole bunch of animal species. First part of the semester: birds. Largest part of the birds: ducks, because I live near the great lakes which means lots of water fowl. So now ducks are kinda associated with that.

But, on the other hand, now I know lots about ducks and ducks are super cute and make cool noises.

Hey! This isnt particularly a concern atm, which is why this isnt in an email, but are you familiar with the 2017 gilbert baker 39th anniversary flag? I may later be requesting some custom items that use it. Me and a friend are making pride plans and i have plans for an outfit that is VERY excessive. I wanted to have something included that used this flag, but I cant find anything that does. If i wanted to get one of the metal pins, when would i order to get it by pride? (Mid june)

I’m familiar with it, but I can’t find good images of it with reliable color I could sample and match. 

If you wanted to order a custom metal pin, we take 1-2 weeks for custom order graphics (usually faster, but this month is very busy) and then production and shipping takes 1-2 weeks so the sooner the better.

I will never not be amused by the irony of enby themed products marketed as "womens clothing"

Heck! What's marked that way? We usually say 'women's sizing' or 'men's sizing' when you can't avoid that phrasing and it's necessary (for example, when people want to know 'what sizing grid do these shoes use?') but otherwise everything should have gender-related language scrubbed from it. If it exists on our site, it's a mistake, and I want to fix it. We have a deliberate policy of not unnecessarily gendering clothing, because both of us are either genderfluid or non-binary. So, yeah, what did I miss? All of our printer's default language is gendered, and I am usually pretty good about catching it.
