This little piece of "Sputnik" Argonite bored out a little home for itself in my heart, so I wanted to do a quick reading for myself in honor of that new connection. Day Two of #theaugusttarot before I go to bed. These are the three things I've been most thankful for lately. ▪ My Home is finally a safe space. I have room to flourish in new & fun ways! For once in my life I have a room that feels truly mine, one that reflects my personality & represents my passions. I have a roommate who challenges & nurtures me. 🏡 ▪ My Friends/ Family are a constant reminder that I'm not in this alone. The Six of Swords stands at the turning point between trial and recovery, trauma and healing; simultaneously signaling that we have survived an ordeal —and that our work has just begun. Knight of Swords To begin with the positives, the Knight of Swords is direct, determined, logical and passionate—but unfortunately, he can also be a bit of a dick. This Knight has the power of conviction behind him and won’t balk at the chance that he’s hurting feelings, being inappropriate, or even missing large parts of the overall picture that might��if given passing consideration—cause him to change his view. This Knight is a doctor advising a patient with an eating disorder history to diet, a bystander giving casual advise to the parent of a neuroatypical child, and a wealthy boomer telling a struggling twenty-something they should be saving for retirement. The Four of Pentacles The Four of Pentacles warns us that our instinct to conserve is getting out of hand, tipping over the dividing line from reasonable frugality into ridged conservatism. Wrapped up in concern over keeping what we have, we are in danger of losing opportunities to live in a looser, freer, and more open-handed way. When the four shows up it’s time to unclench, loosen up, and give from our abundance—because abundance is what we have. While the pentacles are most often said to relate to our financial lives, they can (and in an anticapitalist framework, must) be read in relation to all of our resources, whether they be money, food, possessions, or even time and energy. Hello again, Travelers! Since I've slowed down reading cards, I've also slowed down in my acquisition of new decks. However, something pulled me into the local occult shop today & I think it was this gorgeous little flower oracle because I fell in love at first sight. I wanted to share the first card I pulled & the card on the bottom on the deck. ▪️ The former features Geranium, associated in this deck with virility. The matching quote reads, 'Shake things up a little; you've got this.' The latter shows Agapanthus, associated with Words of Love. The selected quote is, 'Speak with your heart.' ▪️ So I guess it's time to make some changes! And likely I'm already aware that I have to make them - I feel it in my core. But presently I am turning my sight from this necessity out of anxiety of what the relative unknown might bring. I think I'll have to do some meditation on what exactly this is referring to. I imagine a lot of you can relate when I say I've become quite adept at turning a blind eye to things when I have a mind to! Good morning, Travelers! I wanted to give everyone an update since I'm planning on making some changes to my shop! ▪️ 1. I will no longer be offering readings with a 24 hour turnaround time. As I mentioned in my previous post, I'm currently working at two part time jobs & this drains a lot of the energy I would normally put towards doing a reading & writing something both thoughtful & illuminating. My new advertised time will be 72 hours because I believe that timeframe is more realistic for the service I am providing in relation to the rest of my workload. ▪️ 2. I will be slightly raising my prices. This is largely for the same reasons as above. Additionally, I often spend hours working on these readings & I want to reflect that more in my prices. ▪️ 3. I will be retiring some spreads to make room for new ones! Over the last year, I've learned which spreads are popular & which ones aren't. I hope to offer more relevant reading options as they come to fruition! ▪️ 4. I may be offering readings from another trans witch in the future!
