Weirdly, this is my first ever Star Trek: Voyager video even though I've been a fan since I was 13. I'm so happy I finally got to it.
Captain Janeway is my favourite character ever, for sure. I discovered her ten years ago and I didn't let go since. It's hard to explain, but I feel like she's my mother, teacher, leader and religious icon all wrapped up into one, because I grew up watching her from a very young age and while I have loved many different characters throughout the years, she's the one that holds that special warm and cozy place in my heart, the one I visit when I want comfort and familiarity.
She's probably the strongest fictional person I know, she's taught me integrity and to care for others fiercely and I grew into a better person for it. I love her so much. Tattoo incoming.
The same goes, of course, for Kate Mulgrew, who truly was the only one in the whole universe who could give life to such an extraordinary woman. My copy of her first book is so worn out because I loved it so much. I had the privilege of speaking with her via zoom for an hour during which she showed us how much she actually cares. I can only hope of meeting her face to face someday.
My colleague Ron Randall launched a new kickstarter campaign today for his creator-owned comic TREKKER. Ron's a smart, respected artist with decades of work for all the major comics publishers, and has a perfect fulfillment record- 8 for 8!- so you can feel 100% secure about backing him.

I'm making some fabric patterns for a local maker that I regularly buy from!
She requested fabric designs for Star Trek, Doctor Who, Owl House, and Indiana Jones (heavy emphasis on ST and DW)
I have a few different designs sketched out but this is the first one I finished! It's tribble themed (because of course it is)
Will be posting the Enterprise pixel art one I did next!
Please note these patterns are NOT for public use. If you want to request me make some for you/for public use then please shoot me a message or an ask!
I'm not here to defend it as perfect or a masterpiece. I'm still mad they killed my blorbo. Captain Seven and her bridge crew made me giddy. Some things were absolutely forced. Our favourite omnipotent made me scream.
I just wonder when people stopped accepting that media is in some way a completed piece of art. You are not the artist. You are not in the driver's seat.
It seems to be more common in fandom now that social media allows you to interact directly with the creators or actors. But you aren't owed your OTP be canon. It's not a failure in storytelling if you predict what's coming. It's not a failure in storytelling if you don't predict what's coming. You are not going to get the exact scene you were picturing in your head. The vibes are not going to be the exact ones you are used to or were expecting.
I get having a feeling of disappointment or disinterest in media. But remember when you were a kid and had no control over your day to day? How you'd watch Trek or whatever show made you happy? And you weren't watching with a critical eye? You just wanted to be told a story.
So remember, you are a passenger. Strap in and try to enjoy the ride.
Anyone else read Odo as trans ? Like i could relate to his struggles a lot and seeing yourself as so different etc. But i never heard anyone else mention it, am i the only one ? Lol
On this day, we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. for standing for equality and justice. We know him as a leader and a civil rights activist, but did you know he was a fellow #blerd? We love this image of King throwing up the Vulcan salute (swipe left)! King also convinced Nichelle Nichols to continue with Star Trek after Nichols considered quitting after the first season. EXPERIENCE in photos and a few words:
The build up to sunrise was a beautiful experience. The waning crescent moon and the Venus were getting ready for the conjunction on 9th January 2024.
The east of Harishchandragad top is blocked by the third highest peak of Maharashtra, Taramati.
The hidden sunrise:
Sunrise happened behind this mountain's massif and to witness the sun rise from Harishchandragad, one has to climb Taramati peak.
Check more photos of the sunrise at Harishchandragad here.

For more photos of the Harishchandreshwar Temple atop Harishchandragad and the sculptures, please check here.
On the left of this temple in the east direction is a reservoir by the names, PUSHKARNI KUND, whose photo is added below.
KEDARESHWAR SHIV LING:
KOKANKADA कोकणकडा :
The famous overhanging cliff, whose view sends chill down the spine and is extremely beautiful was visited. Please check the above hyperlinked text for more photos here.
Nalli-chi vaat (नळीची वाट) is a thrilling adventurous rock climbing ascent to Harishchandragad from the valley below, that is visible from this cliff here.
Enjoying the view from Kokankada.
I saw a lot of flowers while trekking here. The Karvi, which blossoms once in 7 years has started blooming.
I saw the plant that resembles the bed of arrows, upon whom Bhishma Pitamah, was laid by Arjun the great archer, at Kurukshetra in Mahabharata. The genus is Bridelia. Species is unkown to the friend who identified and told the above story. DrSR is a PhD Botany & an assistant professor in college. The plant is known commonly as BHISHMA-SAN (seat of BHeeshma Pitamah).
The above video is a demostration of why this tiny pretty flower is known as LADY'S PURSE. Just like a woman's purse hides its content from the prying eyes, same way the petal hides the anther and is visible by prying the petal delicately.
Overall, a good start to 2024.
P.S. There are many links to photos of different places at Harishchandragad. Hope you check them all. There is not enough space in one blog post.
