Pike/Batel sucks ass, my personal tough.

First of all, we all know that Captain Marie Batel is probably the worst written character in the whole series, all we know is what she is to Pike and not herself as a character. She's so blunt her name is literally everyone's middle name and we had to wait an eternity to even get to know it. Only thing she has for herself is her career that is seen as only a obstacle to her relationship with Pike.

Regardless of her being basically useless if not to make Pike more relatable because of his relationship issues and eventually giving him the most cliché "sad macho man loses his girl"-trope, the real problem is him.

I've heard people say that "their relationship is actually very healthy and can't be better since both have important roles as Starfleet captains"

Still, he's the worst freaking boyfriend ever.

He didn't tell her about his future, now, don't you think that future is important in a relationship especially if you want it to last? And what about trust?

Also the thing that mostly gets on my nerves is this.

Pike really evaluates time since he knows what future looks like for him, that means he has to make the most of it right??

As a Pikeone shipper I really appreciated this scene but this man was ready to WAIT even if he couldn't for Una (s2ep2), but when it came to spending a few hours of vacation with his girlfriend which is something he should look forward to(s2ep9), he was annoyed af.

The whole Una-metter is reeeeealy heavy cuz if that's a standard behavior he has for a "platonic best friend" then why the hell is he such a crap boyfriend to Marie?

Starting by the fact that she was first introduced to the audience as a long-term long-distance low-commitment casual girlfriend who eventually became the love of his life, I really don't like the fact that in (s2 ep4) when they had to makeup after their fight, Pike was the only one who actually spoke while all she did was suggesting to have sex.

To my besties writers, I know they don't pay you enough but is this really all you have??

For the sake of this woman, if they let her live, make her relationship with Pike ACTUALLY HEALTHY or just give it a end because when Pike said he didn't deserve her he was damn right.
