What are the much needed Features for NFT token development?
Tumblr media
Recently, NFT Token Development has become very popular. Many artists and creators have recently adopted this type of decentralised asset to sell their creations. It has opened up new security possibilities and awarded business owners additional opportunities to protect their goods.
With the introduction of Non Fungible Token development, it is now possible for individuals as well as enterprises to safeguard their work from plagiarism and receive fair compensation from numerous customers.
Due to this popularity the need for NFT Token Development Company is enhancing.
What are NFTs?
NFT or non-fungible tokens are generally created using the same type of programming used for cryptocurrencies. In simple terms these digital assets are based on blockchain technology. They cannot be equivalently exchanged or traded like other cryptographic assets.
Like Bitcoin or Ethereum. Non Fungible Token development clearly represents it can neither be replaced nor interchanged because it has unique properties. Physical currency and cryptocurrency are fungible, which means that they can be traded or exchanged for one another.
In this blog, we will understand what is Non-Fungible Token and recommend you with the best NFT Token Development Company.
Benefits of NFT Tokens
Businesses are discovering the potential of the NFT Token Development along with its multitude of benefits, including:
Uniqueness – One of the biggest challenges of the 21st century is the protection of intellectual property. Non Fungible Token development provide a smart way to ensure authentication and thereby fight back against piracy.
Transmissibility – The NFT Token Development enables complete transparency during the sales process ensuring a product’s provenance and guaranteeing the integrity of the transaction.
Permanence – NFTs work on the blockchain platform with the Ethereum blockchain being the most popular choice. The blockchain creates a permanent record that are immutable, once again, bolstering the integrity of the product or sale.
Features for NFT token development
Let’s Look At Popular Ethereum Standards For NFT Development
So far, we have seen different blockchain networks; to be precise, let us look at the popular Ethereum standards for NFT development.
ERC-721
ERC-721 is the globally accepted Ethereum standard protocol, giving distinguishable addresses unique from others in terms of niche, rarity, age, etc., even when they belong to the same smart contracts. They are more advanced compared to ERC-20.
ERC-1155
ERC-1155 follows the functionality of both ERC-20 and ERC-721. Symbolizing, this could be used to Create your own NFT Token. Its functionality includes a transfer of multiple digital assets, receive token hooks, and many others.
ERC-998
ERC-998 works as an extended version of ERC-721. It is also referred to as composable as the assets within the crypto token will be organized in a complex position. Moreover, it could also be traded as single ownership.
Whom To Reach for Non Fungible Token development?
With the so far discussed details regarding the necessary Features for NFT token development, it is high time for individuals or creators like artists like you to Create your own NFT Token. In order to begin, everything you have to do is find the best NFT Token Development Company like shamla tech that has excellence in transforming digital assets into tokens. In the current market, there is a wide range of companies. Ensure to choose the best and suitable one to Create your own NFT Token by checking the portfolios, knowing their previous works.

Introducing...
THE AMAZING DIGITAL ARCADE PARTY!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah, that's right, I caved in.
Basically the exact same show except its established lore and setting is more largely inspired by archive compilations of popular vintage arcade games of the 80s and 90s such as Pac-Man’s Arcade Party, as well as the different takes within the sci-fi / fantasy genre by the likes of Wreck-It Ralph, Tron: Legacy, and Infinity Train.
==
= BACKGROUND (in a nutshell) 💿 =
In an attempt to save their dying business, C&A developed and manufactured the first hybrid arcade game of its own kind that combined other popular arcade games and home console games with virtual reality. However, just as the company’s luck was turning around, numerous lawsuits from game companies by the likes of Nintendo and families were filed against the company for their product, from apparently “ripping-off” Super Mario Bros. in its entirety to causing many children to either inexplicably fall unconscious or suffer from amnesia after the cabinet’s headset was put on. Just then, as C&A announced they’ll be temporarily recalling the product to fix its issues, a shocking discovery was already made by investigators that would soon bring the company to its demise: the game’s AI had gone rogue, and once a human mind dies from losing one of the games in any way, they are either permanently reincarnated as a personified cartoon character of themselves or just straight up die in real-life depending on the outcome.
==
= ART N’ STUFF 🎨 =
(might wanna make a separate masterpost for that in the future but oh well)
NES Ragatha
==
= Q&As and BOUNDARIES (sort of) 🎙️ =
"Are there any plans to make a full webcomic out of this?" - Uhhhh, mayyybe? I'm not entirely sure, honestly. While there may be a few side comics and artwork from my head I want to get out sometime, I don't really have much plans for this AU that'll be worth telling a full story right now since I feel there is plenty of things that I've yet to figure out and develop in a matter of time, particularly the setting and characters (especially considering the OG show itself has only 2 episodes out as of writing and I only have mobile apps like ibisPaint X to make this all possible at the moment).
"Can I make fanfics and OCs for this AU?" - Of course! I've seen a lot of incredible things from the community, especially in regards to alternate universes, so you're absolutely more than welcome to share whatever's on your mind as long as your heart's in the right place. I can't really guarantee I'll see every bit of it since I do have some personal biz of mine to take care of at any moment, but I'll be happy to reblog them whenever I get the chance. Just tag me and we all good. :)
"Are there any canon ships in this AU?" - Yes. Yes, there are. Well, only BunnyDoll (Jax x Ragatha) to be specific. HOWEVER, you are free to ship whoever you want here! Showtime (Caine x Pomni), ButtonBlossom (Pomni x Ragatha), it's all okay. The choice is yours, a romantic buffet! (Plus, depending on the quality of my writing, I'm not even planning to dwell too much into it for now, aside from the side comics that will.)
==
That's all for right now. Enjoy! :)

Right, let's take it from the top.
Neopets was under the JumpStart brand for, let's say, the better part of the last decade? JumpStart itself is owned by Netdragon. I- Okay, let's skip the corporate summaries. JumpStart, who owned Neopets, went under just last month, not even three weeks ago. So, Neopets was sorta left... Adrift? Publically, at least. Right before JumpStart's plunge, the management, Dominic Law (who apparently had a Shoyru himself back in the day!) bought out the Neopets brand, and now Neopets is an independent company, World of Neopia, Inc..
That's the short of it.
With a management buyout comes a direct injection of funding that Neopets wasn't getting under JumpStart's management, so now the much larger TNT is going to try and revitalize Neopets.com!!! They want to move the older Flash games onto Ruffle, before converting as many games as they can to HTML5! They want to make Neopets mobile-friendly (I hope this mean Lutaris can visit their island again...)! They want to REINTRODUCE NEOHOMES (I have SO MUCH bottled sand!)!!! They want to introduce... A new plot????? After all this time????
Neopets Metaverse is... Going to remain up, but it's not going to be developed for, it seems??? Apparently they're just going to scavenge it for parts???
Tumblr media
World of Neopets is going to be the game they're bringing those part to, and it's apparently going to be more along the lines of KeyQuest and Habitarium. It'll be a social life simulator where you live as a Neopet and travel through Neopia, it seems. I'm not expecting full third-person Tron things, but I do want to see how they do. Also:
Tumblr media
NEOPETS CRYPTO IS DEAD!!!!!!
Tumblr media
Woah!
Also, apparently there's going to be a virtual concert? As long as Yes Boy Ice Cream shows up, I'm happy.

So, in a chat about that last post regarding Dillinger taking the credit for Flynn's game development, I found myself saying: "He's got what it takes to write the 'doing our business is what computers are for!' kind of software. It's just hard to imagine him writing the fun kind."
...Which got me thinking about, more generally, the programs in Tron 1982, and how "fun" I'd say each one is.
in order of appearance:
---
SARK
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
User: Ed Dillinger, the guy who somehow convinced people he wrote some fun games.
Function: "command program"-- presumably some sysadmin software that's on shaky ground at the moment, largely being replaced by the MCP. Not a fun role.
Personality: Generally serious and angry-- but more capable of enjoying himself than you might think. Looks very grim during his introductory Lightcycle match, but afterwards genuinely excited about the potential challenge of future matches. Seems to be feeling pleasure and satisfaction of a sort, whenever he's at the podium with Master Control-- until, of course, MCP decided to "slow down his power cycles" as torture.
Fun: 4/10. Better than expected.
-----
CROM
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
User: Mr. Henderson (a full branch manager!) We don't know anything about him, except that his program thinks this software theft is gonna make him "very angry."
Function: Compound Interest Program. Works at a Savings and Loan. Practically the definition of a stuffy, un-fun job.
Personality: Alternates between nervous and blustering in introductory scene; definitely not having fun there, although there's a bit of lightness in the way he protests at first. By the time he faces Flynn in combat, he's clearly gotten some sort of confidence boost. He's genuinely smiling and laughing in that fight, up until it kills him.
Fun: 6/10. Also managed to surprise me there.
----
RAM
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
User: Popcorn Coworker (named Roy Kleinberg in later canon). Seems like a fun enough guy in later years, in the Next Day short, although also kinda scared at that moment. As of 1982, the only thing we knew about him was he asked Alan for some popcorn. I guess popcorn is pretty fun.
Function: Actuarial program at a big insurance company. Another stuffy math-nerd job-- although he describes it with an optimistic helping-people spin.
Personality: The most adorably friendly and personable program in there. So many smiles and laughs. Uses his death-weapon/personality backup as a drinking cup, and shares it with Flynn. Having fun even the one time we see him kill someone ("so long, sucker!") Smiling even when he's dying.
Fun: 9/10. Just the best little guy.
---
CLU
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
User: Kevin Flynn. We all know him. Fun to a fault.
Function: I guess spyware, injected into Encom system to find a file. Could be a fun job-- looking for stuff, exploring.
Personality: For the on-Grid avatar of the indisputably most "fun" human in this movie, this guy is serious as HECK. Monotone, ultra-formal "yes sir" responses to everything Flynn says. Notably the only program shown to shed actual tears, which is achieved through extreme torture. Closest he comes to smiling is in the very last moment when it is 100% clear he is doomed.
Fun: 1/10 WTF.
TRON
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
User: Alan Bradley, serious programmer. So serious about work that he "doesn't even balance his checkbook on downtime." Does a fair amount of smiling and making jokes when off the clock, although the jokes tend towards the cynical ("more bugs than a bait store"; "can it send me to Hawaii?")
Function: Security program to monitor connections between systems. Troublingly close to cop. Anyone with that job who didn't take it seriously and tried to have fun with it would become a downright menace, really fast. Tron, however, takes it super seriously.
Personality: Serious as death when at work or trying to get back to work. Love and friendship can bring out a softer side, though. Capable of fun but has to be REALLY talked into it. (Yori only manages to seduce him into a circuit-touching session by making it into roleplay about his job.)
Fun: 5/10 but he's got the potential to be so much more
YORI
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
User: Lora Baines, laser scientist. Dedicated, smart, intense, gets things done. Brains of the whole break-in operation. Definitely has a wild fun side. Parked her van without paying because she wanted to use her coins for arcade games.
Function: Driver for the laser scanning hardware. Could be fun. Probably the first program who got to see an orange. I bet she tried to taste it.
Personality: As good at planning and getting things done as her creator. Definitely the brains of Tron's mission, the one he goes to for help operating all the machinery and navigating all the systems involved in reaching his goal. But ALSO super fun at the same time! Treats the slope down to the I/O dais like an amusement park slide, and jokes that she wants to go again. They made their plans in her quarters, which she illegally decorated in wild rainbow colors just for the fun of it, and then she dressed up in a sexy sparkle cape to convince Tron that circuit makeouts can be part of the planning.
Fun: 10/10 the FUNNEST. I wanna be best friends with her.

What if...The Cross Zone got a lot bigger?
From the creative minds that bought you Namco X Capcom, Project X Zone was released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2012 in Japan and worldwide in 2013, receiving great praise as it bought characters from three legendary game developers -- Capcom, Sega, and Namco Bandai -- to crossed worlds, dimensions, and the fabric of time for the ultimate cross-over tactical RPG mashup!
But what if the cross zone had gotten a whole lot bigger with even MORE titles and are joined by even more characters from surprising guest companies.
What if...The Cross Zone got a lot bigger? explores what would happen if the events of Namco X Capcom, Project X Zone, and Project X Zone 2 occurred differently with the inclusion of characters, worlds, and universes of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Square Enix, and much more. The problem with AI and the entertainment industry in particular is that...okay, fine, technology marches on. Digital art made physical ink-on-cels animation into mostly a hobbyist novelty (though boy howdy did it ever make it an impressive one). Photography turned portrait painting into a luxury, rather than something everyone who could afford it saved to do at least once for every family member because it was the only way to keep their likenesses alive. Photo editing has gone through so many changes that it's almost unrecognizable compared to what it looked like as recently as the 80s and 90s, and the older methods are, again, super impressive hobbyist passion projects now. Digital painting made physical painting less viable in an economy of scale, but way more impressive as an art form. These kinds of changes always really fucking suck for some people, but you can't really prevent them without stifling human development in general.
But.
The entertainment industry wants to make it suck way more than it has to for everyone but their executives and shareholders. They want to have their cake and eat it too. They want to take advantage of the inherent marketing power of celebrity culture without ACTUALLY involving, let alone paying, the people whose names and likenesses they're using. That, I hope we can all agree, is vile.
Now, the logical endpoint of this is that we push back against that, and as an alternative we get more fictional celebrities in the near-ish future, and as a Vocaloid fan, theoretically, I dont see much of a problem with that. Theoretically, at least. In the best case scenario, I think it could be a lot of fun! But the problem is, well...
See, in the early days, Vocaloid producers tended to take a very backstage role. Very few people were fans of specific producers; they were fans of Miku or any other character. Eventually, though, producers just kind of came more into the spotlight on their own because everyone has their own style and taste. We still love the characters, but we all started to notice when half our favorite songs by Miku were produced by the same person, well, perhaps we were fans of that producer as well!
But in American-born entertainment culture...
You may notice that CGI was conspicuously absent from my Technology Marches On breakdown. That's because while, yes, it has made for an interesting highlight of practical effects, with love for the work and nostalgia for their jank the same way other new art media has shone a spotlight on its predecessors, it hasn't actually gotten to be recognized as an art form the way the others listed have. We've barely moved on from the attitude that got Tron disqualified from the Academy Awards for SFX because "the computer did those effects, not you" (in 1982). In fact, I'm strongly of the belief that if Disney were a halfway decent company, they would be bragging about how they're pioneering photorealistic animation, rather than trying to pass off 90+% CGI animated films, usually (but not always; see: The Lion King remake) with live celebrity actors' faces composited in, as "live-action". Instead, they treat the VFX department as mindless dancing monkeys, and perpetuate the idea that VFX is just "select material, press button, get polished scene" - because to brag about it as its own art form might imply that the people doing it are skilled artists who deserve to be paid fairly and treated like human beings, and oh, we can't have THAT, now can we?
VFX labor is all hidden; very few people have a favorite VFX artist or director, instead we treat the artists, who put the time and effort into wrangling code and semiconductors and routines and layers into creating a professional-looking end product, as just part of the machine themselves, to save the companies some money - and culturally, I fear we're well on the way to regarding AI exactly the same way but worse.
As such, I fear that we wouldn't have the same effect with any digital idols produced by Silicon Valley.
Now, I don't fear virtual celebrities being able to fully replace human ones. Half of the draw of celebrity culture is the illusion of human connection. As much as the word "parasociality" has grown to be associated with only the negative effects of this, in reality, it's also the driving mechanism behind why representation matters. It's fun to be able to feel a connection to a fictional celebrity, but it doesn't replace the feeling of knowing that your fave is a human being with a real life - ...whether you use that knowledge for better or worse.
What I do fear is the fight against using AI to replicate real humans without their input, or with their manufactured consent, being long and drawn-out and doing a lot of harm before we can fully put a lock on it, and virtual celebrities being used to hide the work that the human directors and producers put into them for the sake of saving a parent company a buck.

This idea has been digging at me for a while, so I finally started it.
Underneath the Keep Reading is a Tron: Legacy timeline gathering bits and pieces from different sources.
What makes it unique from other timelines is that it includes approximate Grid Cycles for each year.
The Tron Wiki states that there are approximately 50 Grid cycles to one User year. I combined this with the Cycle dates from Tron: Evolution to come up with the Grid timeline. The dates may not be exact, but they should be close enough to give a general idea of when things happen relative to each other.
Some of those sources contradict each other, but I’ve left everything in.
I don’t think it’s completely finished, I’ll keep adding to it as I find more things.
If you’ve found something that I’ve missed that needs to go on it, please let me know! (Especially in regards to things relating to the Flynn Lives ARG. I know there’s some kind of timeline regarding the Tron universe that I’ve seen that I’ve been unable to source.) (There also seems to be a timeline in The Next Day that I haven’t incorporated yet.)
-
Sources: Tron: Legacy official chronology, Tron: Evolution’s Tron Files, the Tron Wiki Timeline, the Flynn Lives ARG Wiki, the Flynn Lives Timeline, the FlynnLives.com information, the WellMinsterAcademy information, the Encom Press Event information, and Tron: Betrayal.
I’ve labeled each piece of information as to where it comes from. Most entries are copied and pasted from the sources indicated.
-
1949 -Kevin Flynn born (Tron Files)
Early 1970’s -Dr. Walter Gibbs leaves academia to found a garage start-up company he calls ENCOM. (Chronology)

tron, has a very solid fan base, if they do things right, it could become something quite successful
about Valery and Dimitri... I found an article that talks about how Dimitri is currently the new president of his family's company, I don't know if they already shared it here, but that could be the reason why the wedding postponed or canceled
https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/family-controlling-commodity-trader-sucden-makes-succession-move-1.2023674

Oooh! 😯
Excellent find, anon! Thanks! 🙏
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This could totally be the reason why there's been zero developments in the wedding department and why he has been a no-show on all her vacays lately! Dims has had to put all his focus on becoming a CEO! 😯🤓

Been meaning to post this for a while, and keep thinking about it, so for your consideration: Tron Murderbot AU.
Encom is one of the numerous companies out in corporation rim.
They produce a lot of the software that runs everything from space stations and ships to robots, and constructs, and can even be found in augments for humans.
Fcon is another company in corporate rim and a direct competitor with Encom. (Potential for a war or cold war among their colonies?)
GrayCris still exists and is still trying to mine alien remnants.
Preservation Alliance also still exists as a non corporate polity because they seem cool.
The Grid is a non-corporate polity rulled by Kevin Flynn, sort of like a private island that he has as a sanctuary.
Tron '82 AU?
All the programs are constructs???? Probably? Or robots? Probably a mix of everything.
It makes a lot of sense for Tron to be a sec unit actually. Maybe a new sec unit prototype software that Alan was working on? Either way, Alan designed Tron without a governor module.
Sark is a combat unit.
Maybe the laser exists, maybe instead it's human augments to connect to the data feed... Haven't decided yet.
The MCP probably originally started off as a hub system for encoms main port or something but hacked and took over everything on Encom's main station.
It hacks everything that uses Encom's software, gains control of much of corporation rim or maybe just Encoms colonies.
Yeah gonna be real not entirely sure what happens to Flynn instead of being sucked inside a computer here... Maybe he has an augment and the MCP hacks it/pulls his consciousness entirely into the data feed?
...in which case the programs seen in Tron are how the bots perceive themselves in the data feed??? (I think I like this one, but we'll come back to it later)
Anyway same-ish deal: Dillinger steals Flynn's IP, he flees to a small (probably seedy) space station owned by an undisclosed company and tries to hack Encom for evidence that Dillinger stole his stuff.
Will develop this later, but it has a similar outcome of defeating the MCP, realising the programs are more human than they realize
Legacy:
During his reign as Encoms CEO, Flynn buys a planet/steals one from the company for his own purposes, as well as several space stations. These collectively are called the Grid.
The Grid still absolutely still has the fun glow-y effects, partly through a bio luminescent material that grows on Planet Tron.
He also buys the space station he fled to and probably turns it into a resort/casino/arcade type place for people to play videogames.
The planet is named Tron after the prototype SecUnit created by Alan Bradley.
...Which Flynn absolutely stole for his 'digital utopia'
The grid becomes a non-corporate polity lead by Flynn.
It starts out as a sanctuary for "rogue" constructs, bots, etc.
He still creates clu (organic parts cloned from his own DNA???) to govern the grid while he is in charge of Encom.
Somehow this all still remains a secret from everyone else.
Isos are constructs from alien society that used to live on Planet Tron and formed their own society. (The aliens that built them lived in the oceans, and so the isos come from there, but can live both on land and in the sea). The isos are made with the bio luminescent material.
Flynn still treats everything like it's a game, and Clu does not appreciate that.
Same thing happens, Flynn gets stranded on Planet Tron, Clu destroys the Isos and takes over the rest of the Grid.
Somehow Sam finds it, again through some hijinks involving Flynn's arcade/port/resort
Games probably include something like the ones that Murderbot describes where the humans make the SecUnits fight each other.
Not sure what disc equivalent would be here. Probably still discs because they're a cool concept.
...Thoughts about Ed Dillinger Jr in this universe (or the version that is my muse, anyway...)
Is absolutely an augmented human, though he's hacked his augment because paranoia about surveillance and his safety.
Is something of a political refugee at On Encom's main space station though not by official status.
The suspicion is still there because relations to fCon.
Purchases a SecUnit from a third company after the incident where his father tries to kidnap him.
Immediately tells the SecUnit he needs to see it's code with the intention of hacking it's governor module and making it so it can't send data back to the company. (Because he's paranoid about corporate surveillance getting back to his father. Have I mentioned Ed is paranoid about his security?)
SecUnit already hacked its governor module.
SecUnit politely refuses.
Ed refuses to say why he needs to see SecUnit's code because he is not about to let the company know what he's about to do.
Ed's stubbornness wins this round.
SecUnit waits in anxious silence while Ed goes through it's code.
Ed discovers that SecUnit's governor module is already hacked. It takes him a little while to realize SecUnit hacked its governor module.
There is a conversation. They eventually both come clean about their intentions. Ed apologizes for scaring the crap out of SecUnit, but the damage has been done.
Most of everyone else is not happy about the SecUnit following Ed around.
While there is now an understanding, trust is tenuous from both of them until SecUnit eventually saves Ed from an attack by fCon agents that nearly destroys SecUnit and results in corrupted code, and Ed painstakingly fixes their code.
The Incident eventually gets out, which Ed is not happy about. Neither is Encom, for different reasons depending on who you ask.
...Anyway... not sure where I'm going with this, but I think it would be a cool AU.

A subjective collection of film score composers (2/4): Wendy Carlos, an electronic music pioneer in cinema
Less led by film preferences for this one - even though the first two have had a huge impact on my cinephilia, it is much more with a desire to highlight invisibilized minorities that I chose to present Wendy Carlos. Nevertheless, this choice was not made randomly. Actually, I think her little incursion into cinema is utterly interesting as it is entirely linked to the musical identity she was famous for. Because she was chosen for her music's uniqueness, her soundtracks are now cult.
Born Walter, Carlos was early in her life attracted to music and above all to crafting objects such as computers and other electronic devices. She studied physics and music at the universities of Brown and Columbia. Afterwards, she assisted Leonard Bernstein in 1965 and met Robert Moog in 1968, with whom she worked on the development of the modular synthesizer.
Released this same year, her debut album Switched-On Bach sold more than a million copies and became the second classical album to go platinum. She won several Grammys in 1970. It consisted of pieces of Johann Sebastian Bach played with a Moog synthesizer. This use of synthesizer can announce bands such as Electric Light Orchestra, which combined electronic and classical sounds.
Coming out in 1979, Wendy Carlos is one of the first public personalities to disclose her physical transition and to assume her transgender identity.
She started to composed for cinema with A Clockwork Orange, Anthony Burgess’ novel adaptation from 1971, directed by Stanley Kubrick. The film deals with Alex DeLarge, the leader of a gang who participates in “ultra” violent activities. During one of their operations, Alex is arrested and condemned to fourteen years in prison. Two years later, he volunteers for the experimentation of Ludovico technique, which consists in aversion therapy. The films of sex and violence he is forced to watch are accompanied by an electronic version of the 9th Symphony, by Alex’s favorite composer, Beethoven. His brutal revulsion confirms the effectiveness of the treatment.

A Clockwork Orange, Stanley Kubrick (1971)
Of course, the well-known opening shot effectively sets the pace, as the camera does a reverse travelling, from the face of the protagonist staring at the audience to the whole extremely bizarre set up. And on the top of all, we experience an electronic version of Henry Purcell’s March for the Funeral of Queen Mary.
This work is fascinating in the sense that it is atemporal. Each piece of music identified as from the past is futurised by the synthesizer. The world depicted in the film is also in this breach. The way violence manifests seems unreal, as well as Alex’s destiny. Still, the whole scenery is really anchor in the known reality of the era. In between anticipation and satire, the film is crossed by Alex passion for classical music. That is why the fact that Alex is disgusted by the electronic version of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony seems to suggest it’s rather grotesque than avant-garde.
After that, she collaborated for a second time with Kubrick on Shining, which is also an adaptation; here from Stephen King’s horrific novel. Nevertheless, on the global soundtrack she proposed to the director, he only kept one score. Indeed, the film opens on Carlos’ memorable reinterpretation of Berlioz’s “Dies Irae” segment of his Fantastical Symphony. Actually, it seems to encapsulate the essence of the film: as the little car progresses through the Going-to-the-Sun Road, Montana, the music accompanied by some curious sounds foreshadows the haunting of the vast Overlook Hotel.
Nonetheless, their artistic disagreement put an end to their work together.

The Shining, Stanley Kubrick (1980)
Her last work was on Tron, directed by Steven Lisberg, produced by Walt Disney Company and released in 1982. Her composition for this one is really interesting: most of the film takes place in the ENCOM mainframe cyberspace, but some scenes are in a realistic setting. Therefore, the orchestration is differentiated, by the addition of the synthesizer for the virtual world. Indeed, she didn’t wanted to propose uniquely electronic music, which led to a collaboration of digital synthesizers with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Thus, the music tend to calm the rather innovative aspect of the visual, creating the ideal balance for the audience.
