I dunno if this has been linked around in Tumblrville because I haven't been around much, but in case it hasn't been, I thought I'd just plop this linkie here.

The IKEA pack was my go-to when furnishing houses in TS2. I have some of the items that were converted to TS3 a long time ago, but I haven't been entirely happy with some of them for various reasons, so I'mma give these a look.

Porter House

“Lovely 6 bdrm and 2 1/2 bath home. This house is from the 70s and features a lovely split level design that is sure to wow any sim. Fit for a large family. It is sure to be a showstopper.”

So this house will look a little odd, but I think its quirks can be overlooked. A split-level home on the sims 3 is hard to do because of the mechanics of the game, so it will look weird/disfigured in some spots. However, with that being said, it works like a normal lot and there shouldn't be any routing problems! I recommend placing on a flat lot for the best results!

40x30 residential in Willow Creek at the Cypress Terrace, for the Spencer-Kim-Lewis. It’s quite a large generational family home including an office, two living rooms, and an open concept kitchen. 

It has so many bedrooms including a guest suite on the ground floor. As for the family, the two grandparents each have their own room and share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom, of course, there is a proper master suite and two bedrooms for kiddos with their own playroom area. Did I also mention that it’s got a stylish and modern design that’s filled with light woods and so much natural light! It’s a big build with a lot of CC :D

1. Tell me the story of how you started playing.

I started playing Sims in 2004, when I was about seven years old. I was out shopping with my family when I came across TS2 in a store. I distinctly remember reading the back of the box and being so desperate to try it out. I’m not sure if I actually got the game that day (I was a kid and had to convince someone to buy it for me, lol) but my next memory is loading it up on my aunt’s PC and waiting about a century for all four discs to install. Anyone else remember this mini-game you could play while you waited? 😂

3. Favourite Expansion and Stuff Pack?

It’s hard to choose just one! If I was to pick an EP from each iteration, it’d probably be TS2 FreeTime, TS3 Generations and TS4 Seasons. As for SPs, a few of my favourites are TS2 IKEA Home Stuff and Cool Kitchen/Laundry Day from TS4. 

10. Do you play with challenges? If so, which is your favourite?

I’ve tried out a few, but I rarely complete them. My favourite would probably be legacy challenges; I love playing with families and there’s loads of variety out there. I’d also like to try out an apocalypse or history challenge at some point.

11. Do you play with cheats?

Rarely. I might occasionally use cheats if I’m creating a family with a backstory, but I like my regular gameplay to be as challenging as possible.

13. What’s your favourite aspect of the game? 

I love watching my Sims grow and develop, preferably with as little guidance from me as possible. Big families are a lot of fun! 

14. What’s your favourite world?

It’s a toss up between Appaloosa Plains, Riverview and Brindleton Bay.

17. Who’s your favourite EAxis townie/family?

Probably the Broke family from TS2! I always loved the mystery of the disappearing pool ladder and helping Brandi raise her three kids.

TS4 Expansion pack: I would love university.

Game pack: A game pack that focuses on hobbies like ts3 ambitions or ts2 free time would be great, or a pack similar to generations where there’s more of a community in the neighborhoods, with nosey neighbors and stuff, or to something like ts2 apartment living and expand on that experience. i feel like that would go really well with university, like you can move in somewhere but there’s an npc that already lives there and you can’t move them out.

Stuff Pack: something that can add more vacations destinations would be cool. or something that has to do with education! or the ikea home again that was my favoooorite stuff pack in sims 2. loved all their stuff

Why I created this account:  I’ve had a tumblr for 10 years and never knew how big the sims community was or that there even was a community. I would literally get cc from thesimresource only and would play the game taking random screenshots and never really looking at them again. long story short, i made an account to be a part of the community bc im the only person i know personally that plays, and i would play with a story in my head and that was it so this has given me a way to put all my ideas and screenshots and everything else and share it with other players that do the same thing. so im very happy i found this community or my story telling and my builds and how i play the game wouldn’t have anywhere to go. & that’s my spiel.

1.Tell me the story of how you started playing. 

Basically i used to have a friend whos house i used to stay at all the time! And her mum used to play and i used to spend hours just watching her, i wanted the game so bad, i went home after my mum was coming from a night shift and asked her while she was sleeping she was like okay i’ll get it for you. And i was like cool -- but she carried on sleeping so i went in her room like every 10 mins asking when we were gonna go then i pissed her off so much she just jumped out of bed and was like get your stuff! - i know i was a little turd. Anyway that is the story of how i got sims 2! and the rest is history :D 

3.Favourite Expansion and Stuff Pack?

Ts2 - Freetime and University - Ikea Stuff

Ts3 - Late night & Generations  - i don’t think i had stuff packs for ts3 lol i can’t remember lol 

ts4 - since we dont have CnD yet im gonna say City Living & Vampire Gamepack bc i use all the build stuff in Vampires all the time lol!

Isla Paradiso or Monte Vista - Ts3 

i think Bridleton Bay will be my fave but for now - I’ll say Oasis Springs! i love love love oasis springs! i build there all the time i love it so much!

MALM Set

The MALM set is completed, yay! I also redid the LACK set and now out of 71 items I have 19 left, so I'm getting closer to completing this project! :D There's a chance the pack would end up having more than 71 items because I'm considering completing missing pieces from the other sets and maybe converting the bonus items but I'm still unsure about it.

Slowly but surely it's coming together

Decided to share a few pictures to show the progress so far :) Out of 71 items, 31 are done, it's almost half of the pack! :D I started this project in January and even though the progress is slow I'm happy to see it's slowly coming together, I can't wait for the moment I'll be able to share the pack with you all~

I'll probably post another update after finishing 70% of the pack.

ANES & EKTROP Sets

I can't believe I'm so close to finally finishing this project!~ All that's left is to convert the 5 pre-order items that came with the pack and then it would be complete! So next time I'll post on the blog it would be to share the packkkk!!! We're finally going to have the whole IKEA pack converted to The Sims 3, I'm so excited!

KLIPPAN Set

The KLIPPAN set is done! I added an armchair to complete the set and made 2 more versions for the 3 seats sofa so you can mix and match.

Sims 3 IKEA Stuff Progress - LACK Side Table / Extra Decor / BILLY Bookcase

The entire LACK set of the pack is finally complete! And I made the frog and hippo toys as separate decor items which are fully CASTable together with their original texture from Sims 2. Also I converted the "FAMNIG HJARTA Cushion" which of course is also CASTable.

Now, about the bookcase. Oh dear, the bookcase... I managed to make it have all the states - empy / half / full. But and it's a big but, there's a slight seam problem on the sides because of the UV. Now, technically I can ignore it because it's barely visible, but this seam really annoys me so I'm going to redo the UV since I want it to be perfect (the struggles of CC creating).
