It had been storming all day, and Bearpaw would be lying if she said the weather didn't worry her. For some reason, bad things always happened during storms. Rain on its own was nice, but thunder? Lightning? Never a good sign.

She'd been patrolling by herself near the edges of camp, making sure everything was in order. Every time the lightning crashed to the ground, she could hear it, and the sound made her fur stand up on its ends. However, the next time the lightning struck, she could hear a different sound accompanying it.

"AAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"

The loud, terrified wail of a kit in the distance snapped Bearpaw out of her typical duties, and she looked around in search of the source. The sound wasn't coming from camp... it was coming from the thunderpath.

Racing after the sound, Bearpaw caught the little form of one of Birchshine's kits, already on the other side of the path in her panicked dash. That was... Hopekit, wasn't it? Had the lightning startled her, too? Oh no. Oh no. What should she do?

"Come back!" She shouted, stopping at the edge of the territory. "Hopekit, no! Don't run off!"

But either the little kit couldn't hear her, or she was too panicked to process her words.

It would far too dangerous to run back to camp for help; Bearpaw wasn't sure if they'd be able to track her scent through the rain if she let Hopekit get out of sight. She had to go after her. She had to go right now.

"WAAAIT!" She shouted, pelting off through the rain after the kit. Bearpaw was surprised that Hopekit could move so quickly; to her memory, wasn't this kit the weakest of the litter? Suddenly, she felt bad for Birchshine.

...

Huff... puff... puff...

Bearpaw could not believe she lost the kit. How fast was she?? This whole situation is rigged. Ridiculously rigged.

"Hopekit!" She called, looking for the missing kit. The thunder was slowing, signaling the passing of the storm, but there was still no sign of the kit. "Hopekit, where ARE you?!"

Surprisingly, Bearpaw didn't find Hopekit in all her shouting... but she did find someone else.

"Elmpaw? What are you doing out here?"

"I, uh-" Elmpaw stammered. "I was-"

"Wait, never mind! Hopekit's missing! She ran this way; help me look!"

"I... okay..!"

"HOPEKIT!"

"Hopekit..!"

Elmpaw's voice was a bit quieter than hers, so maybe he wouldn't be that much help in calling for the kit... but at the very least, Bearpaw appreciated the company. With two sets of eyes on the prowl, Bearpaw was much more confident that they'd find their missing kit.

"WOAH!!"

That was Hopekit's voice..! Bearpaw hurried in the direction of the noise, hoping it was a "woah" of excitement and not a "woah" of fear. It was hard to tell through the rain.

"Hopekit!" The moment Bearpaw had eyes on the kit, she let out a sigh of relief. "What were you thinking?"

"Look! I found a shiny!" Hopekit seemed completely unbothered by her current distance from home, and from the scolding tone in Bearpaw's voice. "Look at the colors! Aren't they pretty?"

"They... they sure are." Bearpaw couldn't help softening a little at the kit's bright, genuine excitement. If Hopekit wasn't scared... then it meant she was safe. And that was all any of them could really hope to ask.

"Can I keep it? Please?? Pleeeease???"

Hopekit runs away from camp, panicked by the lightning. She's thankfully unharmed.

Hopekit finds a rare Soulpeace gem while out of camp and completely forgets about her distress. She begs to keep it.

Bearpaw and Elmpaw bring her home, where Birchshine and Magic are relieved to see her safe.

Hopekit's parents do not think her keeping the gemstone is a good idea. They compromise by placing the Soulpeace in the healers' den for decoration.

Lightstar takes some time to play-fight with Horizonkit in the rain.

Hopekit is not the only one who was startled by the thunderstorm. Dawnkit and Birchshine are spotted freaking out as well.

Warrior Cats in TS3?

Did anyone know that this was a thing?  I don’t know why I find it so charming but genuinely, I love that someone has taken the time to make a story with the cats from TS3 like that. I never read the series (I was more of a Series of Unfortunate Events and Harry Potter kid growing up, so the series flew over my radar and when I finally noticed it, it didn’t appeal to me at the age I was) but I really love seeing it portrayed. My daughter reads the books and will be really excited to check out this blog creators story when she (finally) returns home from summer camp!! ☀️

Shoutout to @ts3lightclan for their Warrior Cats Blog. The story is really compelling!! Briarclaw was the real OG. 😿💕

Meet Stormclan

Since you guys wanted to see me play with Birchclan's future neighbors, let me introduce you to Stormclan. Both clans were built using a clan generator, and that generator gave two traits to describe the clan. Stormclan is the Nasty and Dainty.

They live the closest to a river, as well as to the moon ring, a ring of stones where cats go to connect with Starclan. These cats have a reputation for stealing prey, and being rather hostile to outsiders.

Stormclan's leader is the 52 moon old Nightstar, a rather adventurous tom. He and his mate Rainstone have 3 children in total, two of which are apprentices still.

The deputy of Stormclan is 41 moon old Wigeonblaze. I swear this clan is all torties and black cats. Wigeonblaze is the mother of the oldest apprentice in the clan, and the only other apprentice outside Nightstar's kits. The father of her only kit is unknown, however.

If it weren't leafbare in game, I wouldn't be sending all the cats to cas for screenshots.

Anyway, Stormclan's healer(med cat) is 91 moon old Blackbriar, a molly with very thin black fur and a no nonsense attitude. With the molly steadily approaching her 100th moon alive, she's thinking about taking up an apprentice once any new kits reach 6 moons of age.

Now, on to the warriors.

First is 69 moon Noonwatcher, a rather lazy senior warrior with a love for helping care for kits, despite having none himself. He's almost as excited as the expectant queens for the future kits to be born.

Next is 52 moon old Garlicbriar. She is Nightstar's sister, and the only pure white cat while her brother and father are black cats.

After Garlicbriar is 42 moon old Tansyfang.

And her sister, 42 moon old Rainstone.

Next is Wigeonblaze's sister Rowanface.

The youngest of the warriors is Nightstar and Rainstone's only son, Bitterwish. He looks almost identical to his mother, except for a patch of dark fur on his back.

Now for the apprentices.

The oldest apprentice, at 9 moons old, is Marigoldpaw. He is the son of the deputy and an unknown tom. Marigoldpaw has heard many a rumor that his father was some rogue or loner outside the clans, or worse... a Bugclan warrior.... While the young tom doesn't want to believe his mother had a relationship with their enemies, there aren't really many toms in the clan to begin with. His mentor is Nightstar.

The other two apprentices are 7 moon old Lighpaw and her sister Rookpaw. Lightpaw's mentor is Tansyfang.

While Rookpaw's mentor is Rowanface. Rookpaw was born rather weak and small, the runt of her litter. That, mixed with the expectations that come from being the kit of the leader himself, put quite a bit of stress upon the dark molly.

Next are the queens.

First is 42 moon old Brindlefang. She is the sister of Tansyfang and Rainstone.

The other expectant queen is 36 moon old Daffodilear. Neither queen is too willing to share who might be the fathers of their litters, knowing how the clan views outside cats. Daffodilear knows all too well how outsiders are treated, having been invited into the clan by the deputy Wigeonblaze. However, she has hope that her mate might be invited to join the clan as well before her kits are born.

Finally, we have the two Stormclan elders.

And 121 moon old Spiderleg, the father of Tansyfang, Rainstone, and Brindlefang.

Webpaw, the apprentice of flaremoon, and medidicne apprentice of Moorclan, moved to burntclan! he decided to become their full medicine cat.

When flaremoon was asked his thoughts, the old blind cat claimed he was: "happy the brat was gone"

  Bugstep— Brown tabby tom with white paws, a white moustache, belly and cream tail-tip. He has a small burnmark on his lower side.

NURSERY Riverrise— a very classic black tabby she-cat with cream paws, belly and muzzle. (caring for very young kits named Hopkit, a Grey she-cat with stripes and Hickorykit, a snowy white tom with brown stripes).

Modding status: Doing stuff.

I really got bogged down in trying to get Warrior Cats ready for alpha release, so I gave myself a break and dusted off some old animation projects.

TIL how to do baby-holding animations! That's been the big hurdle to doing the update of Nona's breastfeeding mod with animations from TSM. The adult animations are quite nice and fit the TS3 baby burrito pretty well, but there's no baby animations because the baby in TSM is an object. I'm using some existing baby animations, but they need some tweaking.

I also revisited an old project to create child conversions of a bunch of Handiness animations, using a bunch of stuff I've learned about working in Blender since then.

I am going to get back to Warrior Cats. Getting a few smaller wins under my belt should help.

I'm also brainstorming a physical attraction mod to bring some of the features of Wonderful Whims into TS3. It looks like I could create a preference system where a sim perfers certain eye color, hair color, fitness, body weight, and breast size/facial hair dependent on sexual orientation. A physical attraction score could be derived from how much any given sim meets those preferences, and then romantic actions could be augmented by how attracted the sim receiving the interaction is to the sim doing the interaction.

E.g. if your sim tries to kiss a townie, the townie's reaction would be augmented by how attracted the townie is to you. Then if the townie initiates an interaction, your sim's response would be augmented by their attraction to the townie, which could be positive or negative. I'd like to have the romantic interaction stages, or whatever they're called (flirty, alluring, irresistible) go up faster without actually increasing the sim's relationship with each other, i.e. you can romance/jump in the sack with someone you're attracted to without knowing them very well.

Then the TS3 attraction system could be treated as social compatibility, which is really what it is anyway. Social compatibility is a more mutual thing, while physical attraction isn't.

Still poking around to see what's possible.

I'd probably call the mod Chemistry as a tribute to an old abandoned project of Twallan's.

Also -- this physical chemistry project would involve NO ANIMATING.

Really not sure what to do for a first post on this sideblog, but hello and welcome!

I’m going to be using this blog as a means of sharing fun screenshots from the Sims 3 Warriors challenge I play on my youtube channel, as well as sharing information that occurs in the various clans and other groups of cats between episodes. 

I may also answer questions about the cats and their stories, as well as tell stories that may not fit into the episodes themselves, but are still canon to the overall story.

The Origin of RoseClan

For the longest time, warriors lived alone, with no bond with the land they lived on. But strange things happened, things that not even StarClan could have predicted. Winged twolegs, calling themselves ‘fairies’, or the fae, presented themselves to the cats and communicated with them. The first clan that was truly known to find the fae was what now is considered a myth- SunnyClan.

The cats tolerated the fae on their land at first, as they gave them warnings of storms and disasters. They let the fae collect gems and grow their strange rocky flowers, until one day, Heathershine, a young SunnyClan warrior, formed a storng bond with Lumi, a fairy who called herself the Spirit of Light.

She was able to communicate with the land through a dropped gem of Lumi’s and was able to accurately predict an incoming storm, and explained the significance of the crystal flowers to her clan. The leader, Bloomstar, was curious and asked her medicine cat, Gullwing, to ask StarClan about this.

StarClan told Gullwing that fae should be welcomed into the clans as their spirits. Those who bonded with the spirit would be called the spirit cats. Young fairies could train under the spirits as their apprentices, and the cats could train an apprentice too. When the crystals came up, StarClan decided that an assessment or approval wasn’t the only requirement to earn a full name. Crystals were special to the fae, and in turn, they should be special to the cats.

With Gullwing relaying what information he knew to StarClan, the starry cats decided each new warrior, spirit cat, or medicine cat would be given a crystal that corresponds to their actions. The spirit, the leader, the apprentice’s mentor, and the spirit cats would discuss the apprentice together in private, and the spirit would harvest the corresponding crystal. Then, the spirit cats and the fairy would take the apprentice to find at least one herb and one gem. At the ceremony, the spirit or, in the case of a medicine cat apprentice, the medicine cat would present the crystal once the apprentice received their full name. The newly named cat would give their herb to the medicine cats and the gem to the spirit cats as soon as possible.

Gullwing agreed, and StarClan spread the news to other clans. SunnyClan had fully settled in, but some cats weren’t as accepting to the fae. They insulted them and the spirit cats and their crystals. Those that did not comply often were exiled or ran off by themselves.

Most of FlowerClan had been wiped out.

Before that, things had been going great for Rosesplash. She was a young warrior who's life was looking bright. She and her mate, Thornfang, were mentoring a pair of siblings. She mentored Lightpaw, and Thornfang mentored her sister, Brightpaw. Her sister and her friend had finally received their spirit cat and medicine cat names, Poppyfern and Sunstripe. Yes, the future did look promising.

Untill that day. The day Lightpaw, and many others, got sick.

None of them knew what the illness was, but day after day, so many burials to be had. When Sunstripe's mentor, Featherwish, got sick, she told Rosesplash, Thornfang, Poppyfern, and Sunstripe to all run away. To find a safe spot with the Clan's spirit, Leilani

As much as they didn't want to, they did. Leilani helped keep them safe with her magic, and eventually they ended up in an unknown territory, and decided to stop by a lake. As soon as Rosesplash began to lap up the water, she fell asleep.

"Rosesplash." A voice called to her. It was FlowerClan's former leader, Lilystar. "It is time you embrace your destiny. To raise a legacy of your own, as the descendants of FlowerClan. It is time for you to become leader of your own Clan."

'Me?' Rosesplash thought. 'I can't.... but I must. I have so many doubts, but I must have courage if StarClan believes this is my destiny.'

Featherwish padded up to her. "With this life, I give you judgment. Try to judge every cat's actions fairly."

Rosesplash winced as pain shot through her body. She'd have to brace it, she knew, if all the lives were to be this painful.

The next to step up was her mother, Redbriar. "My daughter, I give you this life with the gift of a mother's love. One day, you may have kits, and I want you to love them with all your heart, and to never forget how much I love you.

To her surprise, this life felt nice. Rosesplash sighed with relief, and then the next cat approached her.

"This life will give you the gift of strength," Her mentor, Stonestep, and the former deputy of FlowerClan, touched his nose to her forehead as he stepped up to her. "You are strong, and I have witnessed this firsthand. Use your strength to protect your Clan."

She wanted to yowl as the pain returned. She wasn't expecting it to, but it did. Rosesplash understood that most lives were painful to receive, but some were not.

Rosesplash had to bend down for Lightpaw, who was always a small she-cat, to reach her. "With this life, I give you the gift of mentoring. You always did your best to teach me, and I hope you will continue doing your best to teach others."

Rosesplash braced herself and then waited for the next cat to step up.

"This life holds the gift of belief." Her father, Goldenpelt, touched his nose to her head. "Believe in your Clan. and yourself. You can anything if you put your mind to it."

"My name is Juniperbranch. I died before you were born by protecting your mother, my dearest friend, from a fox. With this life, I give you instincts. Trust them, and follow your heart. Do what you believe is best." The she-cat meowed before touching her nose to Rosesplash's head.

'Just a few more,' Rosesplash thought as she embraced herself for more pain.

"You are a fine warrior." Petalleaf, her other sister who died as an apprentice by protecting the kits of the Clan from a badger when they wandered out of camp, and received her warrior name as she was sent to StarClan, "With this life, I offer you protection. You must protect your Clan and those who are in it with everything you can."

"When I was loner, I lived in fear." Winddash, a cat who joined FlowerClan  after he found it, began to speak as he approached her. "When I found FlowerClan, I expected my life to end right there. But, I was trusted enough to join their ranks. With this life, I will give you trust. Trust those you care about, and let them trust you."

There was one more life, and Lilystar finally approached her. "With this life, I give you courage. Use it to be brave, no matter what trials you face."

As the final sensation of pain left her, Rosesplash relaxed. Lilystar stepped back and began to speak.

"I hail you by your new name, Rosestar. Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine lives of a leader, and StarClan grants you the guardianship of RoseClan. Defend it well; care for young and old; honor your ancestors and the traditions of the warrior code; live each life with pride and dignity."

RoseClan. Rosestar. It felt so strange to be called by that name, to have a Clan named after her as the founder.

"You have a medicine cat, a spirit cat, and a cat worthy of being a deputy." Lilystar spoke once more. "Find a place for a camp, and let Leilani use her magic to prepare it."

As Rosestar woke up, the beginning of RoseClan drew near.

A new leader.

Her mate and deputy.

Her sister and spirit cat.

Her friend and medicine cat.

And the Spirit of Plants.

(1.60) I Wanna Get Better (!!)

Magicburst... no, Magic... had been in a daze for far longer than he'd care to admit. It spanned much farther than just since his demotion... it'd been many days since Sunkit was taken by the twoleg, and Magic hadn't been himself. Hadn't felt himself. He snapped far too easily at cats who didn't deserve it... he hurt his mentor. He didn't deserve his warrior name. And he definitely, definitely didn't deserve the fluffy queen that hovered awkwardly near the exit of the nursery, visibly wondering whether she should speak or leave him be.

"Let me guess," Magic sighed. "Do you want me to stay away from the kits now? Are you worried I'll hurt them, too?"

Birchshine's muscles tensed at the words, but she used them to pad a little closer regardless.

"...I'm worried about you."

"Me?" He let out a scoff. "I'm not the one who got hurt, Birchshine. I'm fine."

"You're not!" She huffed, a flicker of defiance in her eyes. "Any cat with a lick of sense can see that you hurt Pepperfrost because you're hurting!"

"As if that's any excuse!" Magic couldn't help the hiss that rose in his throat as he finally met her gaze.. but the sound felt far too rough against his ears... so he quieted. "Besides... you're hurting too, and you didn't nearly kill someone. Lightstar was right. There's no excuse for hurting a clanmate, and it's not the first time it's happened." For a moment, he considered mentioning Mousetail, or the time he injured Bearpaw during training... but the words caught in his throat, tangled like a hairball.

His mate seemed to suffer the same, visibly clenching her jaw as she lowered her eyes to the ground. He knew those deep pools of gray far too well... he could practically see her thoughts behind them. He knew he'd made a valid point, and... it was only a matter of time before she saw reason.

"...Look, Magicburst—"

"That's not my name."

"—whatever." The white-furred queen shook her head. "I... I know you're not perfect. I know what you've done. But I still chose you... and I'll keep choosing you, even if you mess up. Just please... please promise me this won't happen again." Magic could hear the desperation in her plea, accompanied by the crumbling of her expression. "I don't... I don't want our kits to grow up not knowing their father. I don't want them to live like I did."

Magic's chest ached at her words. He knew firsthand that Skunktooth's exile had been hard on her, and even though that situation was different than his own... he didn't want to end up that way, either. He didn't want to lose the clan that had taken him in and raised him so lovingly as their own. And he certainly didn't want to lose any more of his kits.

"Birchshine..." He wanted to say something meaningful in response. He really did. But words don't come easily to fools, and StarClan knows Magic was a fool for his mate. "I... I promise. I don't want to be the kind of tom you have to worry about... so for you, and for the kits, I'll try."

Without any conscious effort, Magic felt himself step forward and rest his head against hers, nuzzling close and taking a deep breath. Breathing in her sweet, milky scent, it was easy to convince himself that things would be alright. That they could get through this... together.

"I trust you," She murmured softly. "And I love you."

"I love you too."

Magic confides in his mate about his worries when it comes to his temper. She consoles him, promising that they'll get through this hardship together.

As a result of hitting rock bottom and being determined to change, Magic has lost the Aggressive trait. He now has the Independent trait instead.

Dawnkit is oblivious to the tension, spending her day following the Forest Spirit around. Birchshine gently scolds her for doing so.

Snow Mountain Ville by Angela Ester

It's Wednesday, and it's a world overview, and for once this one isn't on the Exchange. Woo! But, it is an older world, uploaded in 2012, and it's a mountainous one. Mountain worlds will catch my attention even more than desert worlds will, so...yeah.

And this one's very pretty! Perpetually snow-capped mountains with more in the distance via a distant terrain (Sunset Valley's, I think), a big waterfall, lots of evergreen trees. Feels like home, to me. Just needs some aspens. (And, @echoweaver, it could be an excellent Warrior Cats world?)

It's a fairly big world, but I think it's still 1024x1024, and the playable area is pretty condensed, which IMO makes worlds easier to play. The world requires all EPs that existed at the time that it was uploaded, which is up to Pets. I don't think it requires anything from stuff packs or the Store, and there is no CC included or needed, as far as I can tell.

The world has many lots both community/rabbithole and residential. I'd say about 40% of the houses are fully furnished, and the rest are empty. (More about the residential lots after the cut.) The world has many duplicate rabbitholes (two hospitals, three science buildings, twi business buildings, a bunch of diners and bistros, etc.), but I suspect it's mostly for the look of the buildings rather than their function. For instance, the science rabbitholes look pretty industrial, and they're sitting in the part of the "downtown" that looks more industrial. With all those rabbitholes, it means there'll be plenty of job opportunities in the town, but if you use the Job Overhaul mod, it also means that the job your sim wants (or that you want them to have) might be drowned out by redundant offers from the redundant rabbitholes. So, you could delete some of the extras and replace them with something playable but with the right "look." Or, you could use the Transmogrifier to turn the extra rabbitholes into non-functional deco buildings. Whatever. My point is, they don't have to remain rabbitholes. LOL

The world has all of the available-at-the-time spawners except the WA fish ones, and they're well-distributed throughout the world.

The title of this post is a link to the world's upload on the creator's Blogspot blog. I'm not uploading a .world file this time because this world isn't on the Exchange, and the creator is active and creates lots and worlds/neighborhoods for TS2, TS3, and TS4. She is active on YouTube, but I wasn't able to find a Tumblr for her. So, I thought I'd advertise her on Tumblr, too. :)

If you download this world and find yourself liking it, I recommend taking a look at the creator's other downloads. There are four or five other worlds as nice as this one, as well as many lots in different sizes and styles that would fit into this world or others.

There's more specific info and many more pictures behind the cut.

First up, we'll do some overhead pics of the world in map view and Edit Town. Here are both views for most of the world:

You can see the redundant rabbitholes in the map view pic, mostly in the "downtown" area in the upper right of the pictures. There are also two salons, two firehouses, and two consignment shops in the world, though only one of each is categorized as such. The others are categorized as art galleries, for some reason. Both of the firehouses are EA, as is one of the salons and one of the consignment shops. I don't know if there was a rationale behind the duplication, but if I were to play this world, I'd probably replace the EA salon and consignment shop and one of the firehouses with something else, probably lot types for the later EPs. There are also some other community lots that are missing proper categorization. For instance, there's a laundromat that's categorized as no visitors allowed. Again, I don't know if this was intentional or if something just got messed up in the packing process or when I converted the sims3pack to a .world file. Whatever the case, it's easily changed/fixed.

As you can see, these lots are mostly residential, and there are a number of empty lots as well. I like that the residential lots in this world are broken out into distinct sections. So, let's take a look at some of them.

First, there are some apartment lots in the "downtown" area. A couple of them are EA lots from Late Night, though they may have been edited (I didn't look), but the others are original and are furnished. Some pics:

Then, in the lower right of the pics of the main part of the map, you can see a block of 27 residential lots. These are all identical one-bedroom houses on 20x20 lots, and they are all identically partitioned inside but empty. They look like this on the outside:

I don't personally have a use for 27 one-bedroom houses, so I would switch some of these out for other small bungalow houses I have that have more bedrooms, or build some new ones. But if you do have a use for 27 one-bedroom houses and are OK with the tract housing look, you can easily change exterior colors and add different plantings and stuff like that, so that they don't all look exactly the same, and then furnish up these little guys.

Speaking of little guys, another residential area is the small island connected to the downtown area by a bridge. It's in the top center of the overhead pics above. There are 8 small lots situated on a walk path on that island, and 3 of those lots have furnished houses on them. Again, they're little one-bedroom houses, but they're really cute, and they're spread out amongst the trees, some with mountain views and some with ocean views. Here are two of them:

I'd use these as my starters, personally. Assuming I'm starting with single sims.

Overall, I quite like the residential lots in this world. Some of them are EA lots, but I think they've been edited a bit because they aren't the impractical eyesores that EA lots tend to be. The yellow mansion aside, they're very much my style because I prefer more compact houses. They're just easier to play, IMO, because you don't lose your sims in them. That said, I do think there are too many one-bedroom lots in this world because I tend to think that most players want their sims to procreate, and small, one-bedroom houses aren't very conducive to that, at least not in the long term. But, as I said, this is easily remedied, if you agree with me.

Next, we'll have a quick look at some of the community lots, most of which are in the "downtown" area:

A little park next to the city hall. There are a number of similar little parks in the "downtown" area. Some of them have some playground equipment on them, some just have seating. You could easily add more stuff to them, if you wanted to. Plus there's a full-blown playground next to the block of 27 one-bedroom houses.

A chapel set up for weddings. Directly behind is the graveyard with a mausoleum. They are separate lots, but with no space between them.

Cats Wanted

While I'm working out things behind the scenes with my sims 3 stories, I will be adding a bunch of cats to a list and I will create them in the game for future reference.

A Few Changes.

Wolfclaw set down sparkkit, alderkit and otterkit. she sighed loudly, looking towards the others. "As im leader now.. i need to appoint a deputy before i set off for the moonstone."

She leapt on the rotten log. "Blackhowl." She called, knowing the tom was happy to hear his oriignal name. "You will be the deputy of Burntclan. Bearnose, as we have no medicine cat, you will accompany me to the moonstone."

Wolfclaw smiled at her mate, as he helped her settle down, gazing along the glittering pool of water. she lapped genty at the water. She grew dizzy, and the next time she opened her eyes, stars glittered everywhere.

Bearnose remained asleep by her side, as she stood. throat bobbing, her mouth went dry as she spotted her two lovely kits, marshkit and beetlekit.

"My darlings.." She nuzzled at the cute kits, it was still bright here, like it was midday.

Stepping forward, was doublefish, she sighed, ears flattening softly as she walked towards the tom. "doublefish, im so.. im so sorry, i couldnt save you."

He smiled. Then leaned forward and pressed his nose to her head. "With this life, I give you Acceptance. Use it well to understand others, and most importantly yourself." 

Pain pulsed through her, and she gasped, her fur sticking on end, as bluethistle replaced her brother. She ran her nose upwards of wolfclaws cheek, landing on her forehead. "With this life, i give you Strength to act without fear or judgement. Use it well, and dont ever doubt yourself."

Wolfclaw panted, pain courrsed through her, she didnt even get to say goodbye to the warrior, before another cat took her place.

Bramblewhisker smiled at her, and placed her muzzle atop wolfclaws head. "With this life, I grant you mothers love, use it to treat your clanmates as you would your own kits."

Wolfclaw felt tears in her eyes, remembering how bramblewhisker, though her pelt was on fire, passed her each one of her kits through the small hole, even though only jaypaw had lived. she felt like her pelt was on fire, like she was bramblewhisker.

Root was fast, swooping past bramblewhisker and smiling at her. "I give you the life of Understanding not only warriors protect the Clan."

Wolfclaws pelt pulsed, as phantom approached slowly, replacing his mate.

"I gift you the life of Survival. Use it well, and survive, no matter what." Phantom leaned back, and she felt overwhelming pressure on her back, right where the burning tree had landed on phantom when he passed.

Bitterpaw shuffled forward, a gentle expression on his face as he pressed his nose to her temple. "With this life,i grant you the life of Making difficult choices, you will wonder if you made the right decision." He said.

Marshkit stepped forward, the little kit almost falling. she bent down, to his level as he nudged her temple.

"with this life.. i grant you forgiveness. Use it to forgive others, and yourself, mama." She felt her sons warm tongue against his cheek, as it felt like she couldnt breathe, smoke covered her longues, she coughed, and coughed. even as beetlekit approached.

"With this life, i grant you the life of Understanding that size isn't everything. even small cats have sharp claws!" She then bounded away, as wolfclaw broke into more coughing.

It eased up, as Yewstar stepped forward, the large ginger tom smiling, as he stared at Wolfclaw. "Almost done." He assured her, and she panted, pushing her head into his chest.

"Wolfclaw, i still remember when you joined dewclan." He said, a smile on his face. "You were young, and traveling with bearnose. you begged to join, said cats led you here. and back then, i saw you as an enthusiastic kit." He licked her ear. "Now i understand starclan always wanted you to go down this path. i know you were worried, scared you wouldnt be a great leader. but trust me, i know you will."

She sobbed. "Its so hard!" She sook against his chest. "What if i fail?"

"You wont." He assured, using his paw to make her look at him. "With this life, i grant you Sensing danger to protect yourself and burntclan." When his nose brushed her forehead, she felt tranquil.

"I hail you by your new name, Wolfstar. Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine lives of a leader, and StarClan grants you the guardianship of Burntclan. Defend it well; care for young and old; honor your ancestors and the traditions of the warrior code; live each life with pride and dignity."

Wolfstar woke, turning towards where bearnose had been, but only to see him standing, talking to a group of cats. Her fur stood on end for a moment.

"Rogues?" Wolfstar questioned her mate with a hiss, "Five of them?!"

He ran his tail along her side. "Come on, trust me. ones a medicine cat: we can allow them to stay until one of the kits grow up and decide they want to be a healer. or-- or! until we convince shellspirit and jaypaw to come home."

Wolfstar huffed at the mention of their son. "I dont think they will change their minds. Especially not jaypaw."

"I get you're mad." Bearnose whispered, "But hes our son, wolfstar. I miss him."

She sighed and nuzzled him. "I miss him too."

In general, I haven't been able to bond with my sims in Sims 4. As a contrast, my eternal legacy is called the Samples because I named my test Sim Susie Sample when I first got TS3 and then couldn't let go of her.

I'm not sure why this is. There are many things about gameplay that are objectively very good.

I will say that TS4 has the opposite problem that TS3 has -- too many inactives show up on community lots, and they're too boisterous. I sent Mortimer Goth to the library, then half the town piled in and started a party. Morty tried to introduce himself to the guy at the computer across the table, and by the time his action rolled around, that guy had left the room, and Morty was in a group conversation with three different people.

I've seen mods to increase the sims on community lots. Are there any to REDUCE the sims on community lots, or at least make them behave a bit closer to the mood of the lot? Since TS4 has a role sim librarian, they should be running around shushing everyone.

I'd love to see the behavior I got in that TS4 library in a TS3 nightclub.

I usually play in TS3 with walls up, and for some reason, I can't get a good angle for that in TS4. The proportions of everything are different in some way. But I like seeing the walls and getting a sense of the room while I'm playing, so that

OTOH, I LOVE the attraction system in Wonderful Whims. I tried to think of how you could code something like that for TS3, and you really can't, can you? This is the alternate side of having color presets for everything -- a sim can find a particular eye color or hairstyle attractive in a potential partner. TS3 sims don't even know if they're wearing their favorite color or not.

I wonder -- what kind of info CAN you read from a TS3 sim in a mod? Can you get general body weight and fitness level? Is it possible to retrieve the RGB value for things like eye color? You might be able to categorize eye and hair color by doing simple math on an RGB value -- like whether the R, G, or B value is larger.

So... my dream attraction system would be a combination of the systems I see in TS3 and Wonderful Whims -- like, you have preferences but your attraction to other sims evolves with experience. In TS3, the game does an instant god-mode comparison when you walk in the room and tells you which sims are attractive based on things you don't even know about them. In Wonderful Whims, attraction is entirely physical (I think).

But... maybe you like green-eyed redheads, so any stranger with those qualities is attractive to you. So you're attracted to someone with the physical traits you like when you go out to a club. You dance with her and get to know her, and then you discover she has a totally incompatible trait with you. That would allow us to have relationships that have natural success or failure. Sims don't have much reason for their relationships to go sour if you don't intentionally inject drama.

I'm talking like I would ever write this mod, but I'm still 80% done with my Warrior Cats mod and on mandatory modding vacation.

Still, it would be pretty awesome, wouldn't it?
