Today is the anniversary of its last update, and while that may seem like I’m trying to be shady I’m actually just jumping on any excuse to celebrate this lovely piece and its divine creator.

Two days. Two days after Amber gave the breakup news, two days of incredibly uncomfortable Sibuna meetings, two days of Eddie blatantly lying to himself that ending their whole tryst wasn’t a big deal. Two days of all of that, and then Nina sent him to the clearing in the woods for a solo mission but showed up five minutes after he did. Two days, and she told him that waiting for things to cool down wasn’t cutting it for her. He took in her words slowly, but he took them in, and he took in the meeting place, and then he took her in.

By the time Gina’s Uber drops her off outside the Caswell-Porter(?) residence, it is well into the late afternoon and her head feels heavy with too many overdue realizations.

After Mr. Mazzara delivers the news of the cast getting benched for a week, Gina is more than ready to curl up on the couch and knit for a few hours. Ashlyn has Big Red upstairs for some Career Day-adjacent thing, and Gina has no plans to interrupt their coupley evening, so she settles with her legs crossed in a bathrobe, full pajamas, and warm socks and gets to knitting.

Nina was seriously wondering why they even bothered sneaking up to the attic when Victor was home. She and Fabian could be geeking out over some ancient Egyptian artifact upstairs in Vera’s old bedroom, thrilled with their progress and excited to update their friends, and then it would all be ruined two seconds later by Victor showing up.

so things noticed: i haven't uploaded much in the past two years gkrlg. interesting to see the similar messy and tsbu ch6 openings, both of which were followed up w explanations afterward. the more humorous openings (03:00 and it's called "therapy") have more snapshot/dialogue intros, but everything else varies from one-liners to paragraphs. i didn't realize it split pretty evenly, but i am conscious of not beginning everything the exact same way. also kinda cool to see the hard part move up from the wips ask to the published ask

YiN was floating slightly above the rocky ground, attention focused on something besides the skeleton next to them.

The Grim Reaper has finally come to collect their soul.

"I know you will." Reaper says, staring at them before following their line of sight.

It's been a couple of days since... Well, since they basically dusted. It hurt for a moment, with the whole slash against their body and all, but... It felt as though the pain had gone away in their last moments with Error. Although, that may have been their body slowly shutting down and preparing to finally die.

It was a shame YiN didn't get to actually be a star. It would've been so cool too!

They were standing on a rock, somewhere above and nearby another rock where their squad was. Well, it wasn't just the squad there. Error, Cross, Dream, Blue. They're here.

Cross and Dream were fighting, demonstrating their skills to X, who was absolutely awestruck at the scene before him. Blue was talking to Glitch, something about his amazing tacos.

And then there was Lunar and Error. The both of them were sitting next to each other, but not too close. Lunar watched everything from his seat on the rock. Kevin was off with Felisha somewhere nearby, which Lunar begrudgingly allowed, while Error sat on his little swing, a window above him connecting to the Anti-void. He had a chocolate bar in his hand, looking at the group before him, but mainly looking at the stars above.

He still had the star necklace YiN adored so much.

It was a surprise to YiN when someone could see, and even talk, to them.

"Huh... I thought you would be much more meaner. And scarier." Was the first thing they said to Reaper once he introduced himself.

".... Hehe, I hope they continue on my legacy."

Reaper turned to look at them again, confusion on his face.

"Legacy?"

YiN giggled. "Well, duh! My legacy as in being a pain in the ass to every single skeleton I meet! I mean, I don't know if you noticed, but I've managed to fool and anger quite a lot of skeletons!"

"Ah, and so I've heard."

Silence once again went over the two as they watched the group beneath them.

".... Time's up YiN. I need to take your soul to rest."

YiN still stared at the group, fondness written all over their face.

"... Just a little more time? Please?"

Reaper stared at them before sighing.

"Sure thing."
