judgement  :  is your muse forgiving of themselves ? how about of others who wrong them ?

Others? Not in the slightest. Saahe has a habit of not forgiving—nevermind forgetting—if something is big enough to rub him the wrong way. It doesn't even need to be aimed at him, really. Anything that would ask for forgiveness, happen it to him or be he just a witness to it... Well, he'll have none to give. It's not one of the virtues he possesses.

Towards himself, though? Maybe it makes him a hypocrite, but Saahe does forgive himself. He's exceedingly resistant to even finding reason within himself that would require forgiveness of any measure, but in the exceptionally rare situation he somehow does admit to having done something wrong, having made a mistake, he acknowledges the situation at least to himself–

And then shrugs it off. He doesn't dwell on his own mistakes and doesn't let them bother him all that much.

Even the Reaper matter isn't something he beats himself up over, even if he very much considers it a misstep on his part. There's not really anything he can do about it anymore, though, so why would he harangue himself over it?

Okay, so its two lines, but the last one didn’t make sense without setup.

This is actually a line without a story.  It just popped into my head with no context whatsoever and has been in my drafts for a few months.  I sort of imagined my FFXIV boy Falerin being the quippy mortal here, but who was he talking to?  Iunno.

9. How do they manifest energy, exhaustion, tension, or other strong emotions?

These usually come with the territory of making him very focused on the situation at hand, quiet, and listening to the other person who is speaking to him or near him. If too much goes on at once that doesn't concern him he will shut it off in his head and get tired and/or frustrated about it.

There has already been some very tense moments in recent memory where his strongest emotions are to protect those he cares for, even if it may seem harsh from their eyes. In these moments he becomes extremely tense and straight forward about how things need to be done, even if he might be wrong about it in the long run.

Chanai is surprisingly stubborn when he isn't feeling well! Never admits it, attempts to push through it rather than let himself rest and get over it-- unless he is forced to.

Does your muse snore? sleeptalk? sleepwalk?

She would assure you that she absolutely does not. But she totally does. She snores very softly most of the time- so that it's hardly noticeable. But occasionally when she's had way way too much to drink or when she's sick-- it's not that soft anymore and you'll want to smack her with a pillow or roll her over on her side. She sleeptalks -often-. It's usually total nonsense. But sometimes it's -entertaining- nonsense! She has been known to sleepwalk a few times too, but not with nearly as much regularity as sleeptalking. She's also flat out lied about sleepwalking to get out of trouble. "What? How did I get here? I have no idea! I must have been asleep! ...Don't arrest me."

Anon? Pft. Is there something you write with your character(s) that is more for the people you write with than it is for yourself? Is there something you wish you could write more but you don't have the network for it?

Hmm there are things I tend to not write that's more for other people. I tend to downplay Idristan's voidtouched-ness, at least in group things. After all, it's fairly disruptive if he suddenly decides to munch on someone's aether. I do think I want to drop a few more hints and the like, show him struggling more with it.

And there's a bit of a list. A proper political plot with wheeling and dealing and backstabbing between Ishgardian houses has been on the wishlist for awhile, I'm just not sure how to pull it off. And more outright horror I think. Horror is always fun.

More excuses to do stuff with my alts would be great too; part of the reason they don't see much use is because I don't really have many connections on them.

Pixie: How does your muse tend to get into trouble?

J’ihiro’s job as an assassin gets him into trouble often. Targets with higher stature, such as corrupt politicians or noblemen, are usually surrounded by bodyguards. Their places of residence are even more heavily guarded.

There have been more than a few times where J’ihiro was spotted during an infiltration and he had to run with his tail between his legs. J’ihiro prides himself in his stealth, but not everyone is perfect.

* - Rex never used to have a sweet tooth! Initially they had little to no interest in sweets and claimed they couldn’t really taste it, or that it didn’t do much for them, and while that’s somewhat true, they’ve found that certain sweetners really do it for them more than others. Cane and refined or granulated sugars tend to be less palatable for them, for instance, while the natural sweetness derived from root vegetables and fruits (such as found in Ceridwen’s famous banana bread and carrot cakes) are comparatively addictive. Their favourite sweetner is honey, or the rarer but much appreciated maple syrup.** - Rex has wanted to be a dad since they were pretty young. Initially it was purely due to expectation, and one of the few ways they felt like they might ever have a chance at making a positive change in the world- and until recently they’d settled with the idea of adopting kids like them so they could grow up in a better environment than they had. Nature apparently had other plans- but the idea of potentially fostering or mentoring queer young adults is something Rex still considers doing!*** - Despite what they think they know, and what they’ve been told, they are not actually half Seeker. They’re actually half Keeper, half Hrothgarr- their mother incorrectly assumed that their sire couldn’t possibly be the handsome travelling merchant she took a shine to while she was away on her pilgrimmage of self discovery, long before she encountered the Wolf-Drake tribe and its tempestuous prince... **** - Rex is on hormone replacement therapy, and has been for almost two years! They’re seeing a wonderful Sharlayan doctor who is deeply supportive an affirming, which has helped Rex in ways they’re only just starting to appreciate- including a number of rather embarrassing issues that are best served in a different theme of ask meme...***** - When they’re on their own, and/or they don’t think anyone will notice, Rex will absolutely bound up flights of stairs on all fours. It just feels natural to them and they’re not in the business of doing any sort of self reflection on that particular brand of quirkiness. They tend to do a lot of things in a fairly uncivilized and beastial manner, so long as they either think they’re not being watched, or otherwise, free of being judged.

ー☆* Nine of Wands - what was the most recent instance of your character keeping their guard up?

The better question, I think, is when is the last time that Idristan has let his guard down. The guy is pretty paranoid by this point (though, admittedly, for some fairly decent reasons....) and there’s a pretty small list of people and situations where he feels completely relaxed.

Amusement danced across the woman’s features as she tilted her head, those white scales of hers glimmering under the bright lights. Nails tapped her jaw absentmindedly as sea foam orbs looked towards the questionnaire, smirking just the slightest. “While I’ve never wanted to own a farm, a shop sounds wonderfully quaint.” 

It was obvious she was making fun, but the context wasn’t completely given. Crossing a leg over the other, the already shop keeper leaned back in her chair before smiling absentmindedly. “The idea of owning something of my own sounds marvelous.” A soft chuckle escaped before continuing, “and being able to tell whomever I want to get the fuck out?” Colette makes a kissing noise against pale digits. 

“Priceless.”

bishy ooc: Unknown to many, due to old illusion magic, Colette already owns a shop! The only way to get into the shop is with a password, which can only be obtained by pre-existing customers, or from Colette herself. For when someone looks at the shop normally, all they see is an abandoned house. So technically, her being a shop keeper isn’t commonly known!

💀- what is mun afraid of?

Well that’s a can of worms right there.

There’s a few things to be honest.

Spiders for one. Jesus fuck I hate fucking spiders they terrify me to no end.

Dentists. I had a really shitty dentist at one point who ignored a fucking cavity and it got so bad that I still have sensitivity in that tooth to this day. Fucker.

Then you get the real deep shit like... the fear that everyone you are friends with are just going through the motions and really just only tolerate you. That they’re talking about you behind your back constantly and looking for ways to get rid of you.

Though that’s also a lot to do with my anxiety so...
