Requested by anon: Heyy fifi, so i have this idea in mind where yunho(tvxq) and the reader were a highschool sweetheart but they broke up because they got busy with their own life and they just shifted apart. But somewhere in the future they meet again thru some friends, the sparks are still there, but it's not the right timing for them. A/n: i immediately thought of three different taylor swift songs to inspire this writing session (slut!, right where you left me, and New Year's Day). the urge to just have made this a three-part installment, based on the three songs, was there, but i resisted it (unless you guys have other plans.....). anyways, please enjoy!

“The divorce rate rate for high school sweethearts is 54 percent during the first ten years of marriage” (Tenn and Tenn, 2022).

The second you got the notification you were filled with immense relief as you felt you’d dodged a bullet in becoming a statistic. Though you and Yunho had been high school sweethearts, slowly but surely coming to terms with the idea of marriage being the end goal as your relationship progressed into adulthood, things did not stay that way. When he’d debuted with TVXQ, you had been thrilled to hear the news, it had been his dream after all. That happiness only lasted so long before he began drifting, needing to focus on the group - you yourself were also busy, getting ready for college entrance exams, eventually started studying, and picking up a part-time job to make ends meet as you were far away from home. Over the course of three years, the two of you had grown accustomed to seeing each other less and less. 

Then 2009 happened. 

If you were used to seeing less and less of your boyfriend before then, he was practically a ghost once that year hit. It was hard, you’d admit that much. Between the legal issues brought up both upon and by the group and the recent full-time position you’d taken shortly after your graduation earlier in the year, it was a miracle the public even found out about your relationship to begin with. That certainly hadn’t helped your relationship. Between being busier than you two had even been in your lives and being scrutinized for dating, it was no wonder the two of you began drifting apart until eventually, just two weeks shy of what would have been your seven year anniversary, the two of you decided to break things off.

So while you hadn’t become a high school sweetheart divorce statistic, why did it feel like you had some other statistic?

“Come on, it’ll be fun!” your friend begged, trying to reason with you to come to a meetup. “I promise it’ll be fun and if you don’t like it after thirty minutes, you can leave if you want.”

Why can I not go to start with? you wonder without voicing, not wanting to upset her. She was trying so hard to get you to take a break from working so much, and you weren’t having it. In all honesty, you would rather not go, but what can you do sometimes? 

“Please?”

Letting out a breath, you agreed, “Fine. But I’m only going for thirty minutes regardless of if I like it or not.”

You watched as your friend jumped for joy, immediately rushing to your closet and beginning to pull out various articles of clothing attempting to make an outfit that was fit for a nightclub.

“Woahwoahwoahwoah” you rushed out. “I’m not wearing something that short and skimpy. No way in hell.”

She pouted, dropping the mini skirt you hadn’t seen in years (  that you haven't even worn in much longer than that ) onto your bed. “But I want to introduce you to someone! I really think you like him and that he will like you just as much but you need to make a good impression too!”

“A good impression by leaving little to the imagination of my body?”

There was a split moment of silence.

“Okay, maybe not the right idea from me, but you can’t just go wearing jeans and a t-shirt! You have to dress up! Look nice!”

You deadpanned, blinking slowly at her as she folded her hands in front of her, batting her eyelashes at you as if it would make her point more valid.

“Fine. But I’m picking my outfit.”

You were certain you were going to wake up with a pounding headache tomorrow morning - and not from a hangover but from the loud music the club had playing. While your friend and some of the other people of your group were clearly tipsy or flat out drunk having had shot after shot within the first hour of your arrival, you were only just beginning to nurse your second drink of the night four hours into the outing. Turns out you can't go home on your own when you get a ride from someone else. Oh how easily you fell into that one.

“Oh!” you heard your friend call out as she looked in your direction but looking past you. “There he is! Come on!”

She grabbed your hand tugging you away from the group and towards the entrance of the club. You were confused as to where she was going until your eyes landed on a man who had just entered the club. A man you were very well acquainted with.

“Yunho!” your friend called out, waving her hand up in the air and grabbing his attention. For a split millisecond, his eyes widened in recognition as he saw you before he quickly recovered waving at your friend as he walked over. “I almost thought you weren’t going to come!”

“I got caught up with something,” he explained, before looking at you and extending his hand. “Is this the friend you were telling me about?”

“Oh! Yeah,” she giggled, introducing you to one another. “This is Jung Yunho. He’s a dear friend of mine and I think the two of you would be perfect for one another! Oh! I love this song! You have fun and get to know each other!”

She rushed off disappearing onto the dancefloor of people crowded together.

“Did you-” you began.

“I did not,” Yunho answered before you could finish speaking. “She only told me she wanted to introduce me to a friend. She does that a lot honestly and I usually just say that something came up at the last minute and don’t end up coming to these things.”

You nodded, sitting in the awkward silence between the two of you for a split second. “So how have you been?”

Yunho made a noise of unease, “Pretty good, all things considered. I, um, she told me you work at a law firm?”

“Oh, yeah. Just recently got promoted to associate attorney. I passed the exam and had enough experience at the firm to get the new position. You and Changmin recently celebrated the 20 year anniversary of the group from what I remember, congratulations on that. 20 years is a long time.”

He nodded, giving you a quiet thanks before the conversation went stagnant once again. There was clearly an elephant between the two of you that neither of you were willing to address, whether it be because of the public location or the pure awkwardness around it you weren't sure. You weren’t going to lie and say you didn’t find him attractive even after all these years. There was something magnetic about him that drew you in, like a moth to a flame. And it was clear that there was something drawing him to you as well. Your eyes scanned every inch of each other’s bodies, noticing the differences since the last time the two of you had crossed passed all those years ago, the signs of aging and maturity much more prominent and present than ever before. Neither of you would deny that the year had done wonders for you both.

“You know,” Yunho began before drifting off a split second, before speaking again. “You know I never wanted to break up with you. I never wanted what we had to end, ever.”

Neither did I, you thought to yourself looking at him closely.

“Is it crazy for me to want to give us another shot?” he asked. “I don’t think I’ve connected with someone and been as happy with another person as I have been with you.”

“Not crazy at all,” you replied mindlessly. “I think we’re the case of the right person, wrong time…”

Yunho looked at you without saying a word before taking a step closer to you, “Do you really believe that? Do you really, honestly, truly believe that? If we were to start over, today, do you think we would still have the same connection we had then?”

You faltered momentarily. You were certain that there would be some form of a connection between the two of you, but you weren't entirely sure it would be the same. The two of you had grown and changed since then. You were two different people who have learned and adapted throughout the life you had lived apart from one another. But deep down, you old selves were still there, just different.

“I think we’d have a different connection that suits us more.”

The two of you stared at one another in silence for a hot minute, letting your words settle in your minds. The silence ended when Yunho nodded and looked away from you in the direction of the dance floor, deep in thought as he sighed.

“Okay.”

Okay? That’s it?

“Dinner tomorrow night at 8pm. Just the two of us. I can pick you from your place if you feel comfortable enough for that,” he added, pulling out his phone and handing it to you. “I don’t know if you changed your num-”

“I haven’t. Have you?”

He shook his head.

“Tomorrow night then. I’ll, uh, text you my new address.”

“Alright. It’s a date?”

You smiled, “It’s a date.”

When He Has A Nightmare, But You’re Not There ~ TVXQ Reaction

Yunho:

You were lost in your own little world, completely unaware of what was going on in the room above you in the kitchen. Up there, Yunho was panting, darting out of the bed as he failed to see you there beside him.

Heavy footsteps coming down the stairs were what finally caused you to look around, eyes widening as you looked to the stairs to see Yunho bolting for you.

Your hands reached out to hold onto his arms as soon as Yunho was close enough to you. “Breathe,” you told him, meeting his eyes.

“I-I had a nightmare that you were taken away from me,” Yunho began to tell you in between shaky breaths, “I woke up and you weren’t there, I thought it was real.”

“I’m right here,” you softly smiled at him, holding onto him tightly, “you can feel me, and see me, I promise that no one took me.”

A sigh came from Yunho as he slowly began to calm himself down, “I’m sorry, it just scared me thinking that maybe you weren’t here.”

Your head nodded understandingly as Yunho’s smile slowly turned up, “don’t worry, I’m sorry I wasn’t upstairs to be there for you.”

“Don’t apologise, none of this is your fault.”

Changmin:

The sound of your phone buzzing left you with no choice but to groan, rubbing the sleep out of your eyes. Whilst picking up your phone, your eyes caught your alarm clock just beside your bedside, sighing in frustration.

You couldn’t remember the last time that you saw the early hours, but as expected, when you saw who called, there was only one person that it could be.

With your eyes still waking up, you managed to accept his call, bringing your phone to your ear. “What do you want at this time?”

You were startled though as straight away you could hear Changmin’s fast breathing. “Are you still my best friend Y/N? I mean you still like being my friend, right?”

“What? Of course,” you chuckled in disbelief at Changmin’s question, “did you really need to call me at half three in the morning to ask?”

A hum came in reply to you from Changmin, “I had a nightmare that you didn’t want to be friends with me, I needed to check with you.”

You could only chuckle, settling back down against your pillow, “only you would panic at three in the morning that that was real.”

“I just didn’t want for it to come true.”

Fragments of shattered glass litter the floor. The steel sphere of his destructive action rolls across the floor till it reaches a barrier, then silence. The once beautiful antique mirror which adorned the wall of his living space is now scattered. Anger forgotten for the moment "what?"  Eyes not believing, "that is impossible!".

Looking through the mirror frame  not comprehending what is before him, "no!" Stepping forward to investigate further "it's not real!'

Still Yunho with hesitation steps closer. What he sees, what is before him, his mind can not be assured of validity of. Curiosity drives him to investigate. Standing on a chair against the wall he peers in, amazement and wonder, "is that a motorcycle?" he whispers to himself. A force within himself impels him, stepping through the frame with agile grace, a new world greets him.

Yunho sits quietly on his sofa sipping his americano, reflecting on that moment, the moment that drove him to break that mirror, it was her. He can still hear the sound of her high heels as she walks away. "Not compatible" that is what she said!  "Compatible!" He whispers angrily. "Mind games!" Always the mind games with her. His handsome features crease with frustration, "I will show her mind games!" He smiles with wicked anticipation.

From  amateur to novice till he became the master of the mirror, the new world or best described as dimension, opened many gateways, his knowledge expanded till he could explore and navigate with ease. Over time his skills improved and many pathways opened. Unlike explorers before him he did not need sea vessels, only glass. As his skill set improved more doorways revealed themselves. Over time he did not need to break the glass simply he walked through. Each new world held its own unique attraction, yes he eventually had his favourites. Some are more dangerous than others, the creatures, bizarre! Soaking in all that was laid before him, mastering skills he never had considered or conceived possible. The landscapes, some more hospitable others barren as any desert. Over the passage of time, he explored all that opened their gates to him.

Freedom was intoxicating, society and their rules be damned!

Scanning his mind palace, for the perfect location. Location location location! It has to be perfect and with easy access. " Ah, perfect," he murmurs. Now to set his plan into action.

Yunho and his conscience both agree this is for her benefit, she needs protection mostly from her own stupidity! Dumping him! That was stupid!

With fierce determination and stubborn belief that he is doing what is right and deserved, he visualizes and constructs till his plan is complete. Admiring his architectural skills, he smiles, now for the finishing touches. Interior design is another skill mastered, he laughs. Now it's time to shop.

Sleekly like a predator stalking its prey Yunho watches her and follows. "Who is this loser?" He angrily mutters, as he observes his lady dining with a handsome stranger. Smiling! She is smiling at him! "I bet she thinks they are compatible!" He mutters sarcastically. "Soon, very soon" he whispers into the night.

"It is time" Yunho tells himself everything is ready, set and go. Her stupidity is out of control, third dinner with 'that loser!'. Watching as she eats her meal and smiles, a genuine smile, which belongs to him only. "Tonight" he states, staring at her happy face. 

Using the key she never knew existed, Yunho, like a cat burglar, enters her apartment, with purpose entering her bedroom. Her sleeping form, ' so innocent'  and gullible he thinks to himself. As her eyes open he smiles at her as he  places the chloroformed material against her face.

Yunho sits quietly sipping his americano on his sofa. His gaze is directed at the mirror framed against the wall. Standing up he heads towards the mirror, "time to visit my lady love" he chuckles.

[Idols After Dark] Jung Yunho (TVXQ)

You can see this as a reversed version of usual appreciation post where fans describe all the good and positive sites of their favourite idols. However, nobody in the world is perfect, am I right? And according to famous psychologist Carl Gustav Jung we should accept, embrace and bring to light all our negative and dark sites as well because they only become dangerous for us if they stay hidden within our souls. And to honour this great man I decided to bring to the light some of the more negative aspects of Yunho's personality to appreciate them in a way.

Are you excited? Are you curious? Are you outraged because Yunho has no flaws at all? Let's see!

The Dark Side of Jung Yunho

Jung Yunho is a highly respected artist, composer and musician. He's admired and loved by family, friends and the common public. He might seem perfect and flawless at first sight but is he really that way?

Yunho is a walking original, he's one of a kind, an idealist and visionary. He craves making the world a better place and has a clear idea how to achieve that. However this dedication and determination can resolve into stubbornness. Whoever has a different opinion on how the world should spin can easily become his enemy or at least will be promptly dismissed from the circle of his friends and acquaintances. Beware of questioning his strong beliefs. He sees the world through black and white optics and if you are not 100% supportive of him and his opinions, he can't rely on you and therefore you can't gain his sympathy and trust.

Yunho is creative and his ideas often go beyond a regular mortal's imagination. He might give an unpredictable and hard to get impression as his mind is simply working on a higher level. That might be uncomfortable and confusing for people around him as they never know what they can expect from him, he's a mystery to them. Even when you try to understand what's going through his mind, there are moments when Yunho will put a Top Secret sign on and will keep everything for himself till he is ready for disclosure. And leave you none the wiser.

Yunho is very hardworking but this might lead to his overly strong dedication to his job. He's willing to sacrifice anything to his work including the time usually granted to his close ones. His family and friends might start to feel neglected and put to the side as Yunho is utterly focused on his project, album, song, charity event, building a spaceship.

Yunho is a very loving person, warm, friendly and with an absolutely unique sense of humour. He makes friends easily because everybody feels good with him around. However he might find it difficult to express his feelings and he's not a man of great gestures. He will never buy expensive gifts as he always wants to gain people's sympathy by his personal qualities rather than bribe them. He might not say words of love often which can be caused by his indecisiveness when it comes to relationships. It simply takes him long to truly trust people enough to let them enter the inner circle.

In addition to this, Yunho truly loves his freedom, he's the kind of a man who despises any kind of restrictions put upon him. Trying to manipulate him into anything or to trap him will inevitably lead to failure. Yunho looks down on any kind of disguise or falsehood. His deeply rooted love for freedom might make him look fickle and unfaithful. He simply needs to be given enough space for his hobbies, interests and activities. Deep down he's scared of commitments as they could rob him of his lifestyle. If you are a lady (or a gentleman) interested in Yunho in a romantic sense, better count on him taking a lot of time to propose to you. He has to be completely sure about you before he makes that one big step and nothing you do can possibly rush him. Don't even try to trick him by bringing another guy to the table hoping he will be jealous. Yunho will feel disappointed and rather than fight, he will simply leave as you are obviously not worth it. He seeks an independent and free spirited partner but despite his liberal views he has a clear idea about the role of his spouse in the family – they should play the traditional role of mother, wife and home keeper. However Yunho has no aggressive tendencies, he will more likely manipulate his spouse into believing that the traditional role was their idea all along.

Yunho needs people he can rely on in his life. He needs to know that when time gets rough they will support him through the hardships. He's asking nothing less but loyalty and faithfulness.

He prefers working on his own rather than in a team because of his brilliant mind which needs to be free and not restricted by the common sense of normal people with regular imagination.

His idealism can sometimes swing into a bit of a dogmatism, he means it well but people might find his strong will a bit too dominant.

All in all, Yunho makes one original and complex person with wild imagination and steady views.

Hello! Just want to say again that I'm glad I found your blog, your down-to-earth commentary, especially about the business side of it all, is very much appreciated :)

Hi. Thank you for letting me know, I'm glad you find some more down to earth posts useful. In part, I run this blog to offer an alternative in fandom experience.

Thing is, we, as k-pop fans and as people who don't work in showbusiness or South Korea, don't have enough knowledge, experience or inside information to have a strong educated opinion on most of things when it comes to idol companies and their executives. We can have opinions as customers - I like this music, this promotional strategy works on me, these outfits are ugly, this concept rocks -, but not as business analytics. Especially considering how much media play, false information and difference in cultures we face.

However, nowadays everyone has the illusion that they know better, that their opinion and feelings are valid when it comes to any topic. And spread and defend their opinion like it is the ultimate truth.

I've recently come across a twit starting with "it appears that" and ending with "for sure". In a span of a few sentences the fan offered an imaginary scenario and finished with a "this is truth". Of course to "prove" that SM is evil, heh. Such baseless statements easily play on fans' love for their biases, evoke an emotional response, call to arms, they give an answer to "Who is to blame?!", provide a target for unleashing frustration and anger.

When one solo-stan blames our bias, we can call bullshit because we know how things really are. When a fan blames Chris Lee or SM, other fans are ready to accept the words as believeable. Either because they share the sentiment, or have no own opinion on the matter, so any will do. If everyone around says the same thing, it should be true, afterall? That's how our brains are wired: follow the majority, agree with the tribe, mirror everyone's current emotion.

We can't see the inner works and we don't know the inner rules, but we can see the results of labour and sometimes a reflection of things.

When I came to k-pop, I knew SM as the company that overworks its artists, has lawsuits with them, is super strict. Broken in two halves TVXQ and EXO with half of its members gone weren't a good representation. So when I started to get to know NCT better, I started to wonder if I was lied to or that something had changed in SM (the latter). Neos were taught how to songwrite, SM persisted with good quality music for NCT despite the group not taking off right away, artists not looking slavelike, there was SMstation and interesting projects.

Sure, I can observe bad work: poorly prepared concerts (Link), constant failures with album production (omitting Doyoung's name, boring designs for 127), tasteless stylists, etc. However, I also see good work: artists flying first/business class and living in 5 star hotels, being given opportunity to go to the beach, museums, to enjoy sightseeing in new countries; opportunity to explore one's creativity (soundcloud, NCTLabs, solo performances for Link); SM giving artists second professions (MC, variety host, model) that will aid professional longevity (Doyoung hasn't finished school and doesn't have a degree, but I'm not worried for him, even if SM collapses, he'll always find a job. Same for Taeyong, he came as a blank page, now he is a songwriter and a producer, he can even become a choreographer); neos progressively being given more choice and say, their opinion being consulted and their ideas being implemented once they gain enough experience (Golden Dust story, Taeyong making his own setlist for his concert, Doyoung saying Unity should not have solo-stages, Ten choosing the mood and genre for his solo, etc).

Most importantly, I can see many friendships between neos and producers/managers, and that Haechan and Doyoung, who experienced all of SM's downsides personally and not once, continue to like the company. Meaning, the good should outweight the bad. At least for now.

Fans learnt the name of Chris Lee and continue to blame him for everything to this day, although he doesn't own any shares in SM and has stopped being a CEO a year ago. He is a token scapegoat.

Should I blindly trust fans or should I go read Wikipedia, interviews and listen to the guy himself? In situations like these I always choose the latter.

Sure, I can't tell if he evades taxes or participates in shady business, and what neos think of him (aside from Doyoung calling him "hyung" in public and not being afraid of getting punished for it), but I can see he was the person who overlooked all the early NCT songs (we have "Limitless", "Cherry bomb" thanks to him); created SMStation and SMClassics (say thank you for "Try again", "Star blossom"); found Dem Jointz ("Kick it", "Punch", "Sticker") and multiple other songwriters who now work for SM; brought to Korea the idea of songwriting camps, in which Kun participates nowadays and where he befriends foreign creators; invested SM money into a publishing company (and not a winery or a hotel business), which means SM artists will be secured to have a lot of songs to choose from in the future, and Korean young producers will have access to the global market. He has been with SM close to 20 years, and he is evidently a music nerd, ergo he understands artists and their love for music. So why should I hate him? I have no proof of him taking money away from neos, but I have evidence he was very essential to formation of NCT and the quality of SM sound being maintained. On the contrary, I'm inclined to suspect the quality of albums (song setlist, production) is raising again because he is back to supervising A&R in SM.

Blind Date ~ Jung Yunho

Your eyes widened as you continued to look through your memory box as Yunho picked out a dusty bit of paper. “This was the menu that they gave us on our very first date.”

“I remember that restaurant that we got told to go to.”

Yunho slowly turned the page so that the two of you could look through the menu, pointing out as you remembered the things that you had ordered on your very first date, a blind date in fact that a couple of your friends had decided to organise for you both.

After years as friends, your friends at the company couldn’t take much more of the unspoken feelings between you both. After coming together for quite some time, a plan was formed, with Changmin encouraging Yunho to head out on a blind date, and Yuri convincing you, unaware of what was going on.

“I hate to say it, but I’m still really thankful that they organised this for us both.”

You were beginning to think that the guy wasn’t showing as you sat at the table, sinking down as you noticed Yunho walking into the restaurant. Your eyes narrowed as the waiter led him across to you, pulling the chair out that was opposite you at the table for him to sit in.

“No way,” Yunho laughed as he looked across at you with a shake of his head, “Changmin told me that he had organised a blind date.”

“I’m here on a blind date,” you frowned in reply to him, “or at least that’s what Yuri sold it as.”

It didn’t take long for the penny to drop and for the two of you to figure out exactly how you had ended up at the exact same place together. Once it all made sense, the two of you found yourselves in fits of giggles at the effort that they had gone to.

Yet, as the two of you talked over the reasons as to why you had been set up on a blind date together, it opened a can of worms for you both. A lot was spoken about, plenty that you had always wanted to talk about, but never found the confidence to do so.

“I have a feeling why we’re here, Yunho sighed as you both fell silent, “they think we like each other.”

Your head nodded as you sat back in your chair, “do you think that they’re right?” You asked him, too nervous to look across and meet Yunho’s eyes.

A hum of agreement came from him in no time at all though, having always known how his heart felt about you, knowing how yours felt about him was all that he needed to know that he didn’t need to hide away from his feelings any longer.

A foot tapping against yours caused your eyes to look up as Yunho recaptured your attention. He could tell he was shy, a rare occasion for you when you were around Yunho, a little more fearful than he was to talk about what was going on with you both.

“Do you think they’re right?” He asked you.

A slow nod of your head soon followed.

You could never have imagined that Yunho would actually end up liking you, having spent so many years close, but as friends. Your friends had mentioned it a couple of times, but each time you dismissed them, laughing them off as crazy.

As you sat up again, Yunho did the same. “I can’t believe we might have to go back to work and tell them that they’re plan of a blind date has worked.”

“We’re never going to hear the end of this.”

Yunho nodded in agreement with you, having denied your friends for so long when they tried to tell him that you liked each other, he couldn’t believe that at last he was having to admit defeat and realise that they were right all along.

“I wouldn’t have said anything if they didn’t organise this though.”

“Me too,” Yunho weakly smiled across at you, “it’s certainly given us the chance to talk unlike how we usually do.”

“How did we know, but everyone else did?” You asked him with a chuckle

“We were scared to ruin our friendship, but now we don’t have to be.”

“I still remember coming home and laughing out of relief that our blind date had gone well,” you informed Yunho as the two of you finished reminiscing about how the night unfolded. “I didn’t sleep a wink that night when I got home.”

“Changmin was waiting up for me at the dorm.”

“I bet he had the smuggest smile on his face when you got home.”

As expected, the two of you didn’t hear the end of it for quite some time, especially a few weeks later when the two of you finally confirmed that your relationship wasn’t just as friends anymore, but as something more.

“He still rubs it in today how right he was that day,” Yunho laughed as he threw his arm around you. “Just about every single time he sees you he whispers into my ear how it’s thanks to him that the two of us are together.”

“We might have confessed one day without them.”

Yunho’s head gently shook back at you, “I honestly think that I always would have been too scared to tell you how I felt about you.”

Your eyes widened slightly, “even now? You still wouldn’t have said anything?”

“You make me so nervous Y/N.”

Your hands pressed to either side of Yunho’s cheeks as you leant forwards and pressed a kiss against the tip of his nose. Before your date, you could have never imagined the way that you made Yunho feel, he always hid it so well from you.

“You know, the girls still like to remind me too,” you chuckled in reply to Yunho. “Every time they see the two of us, even if we’re just holding hands, they send me a look as if to remind that they’re the one responsible.”

Yunho’s head shook at how proud your friends were, glad that they had pushed you both together. They all knew how happy you could have made each other; it was just a case of getting you both to see it too.

Every single one of them were relieved when you finally got together, glad that you no longer had to pretend as if you weren’t interested in one another.

As Yunho closed the menu, he placed it delicately back into your memory box. “There’s so many things in here, but I still that menu and the date that we had with that menu mean the most to me out of it all.”

“It was the start of everything in this box,” you smiled, “without it, this would’ve probably been empty, and the two of us would still be friends too.”

Yunho nodded in agreement as he placed the lid back on. “These days I could never imagine the two of us not dating. I can barely remember a time when we were just friends, I just always remember liking you and trying to be cool around you.”

“What if maybe we ended up getting with other people and stared friends forever?” You smirked, continuing to stare across to his eyes. “I mean, if neither of us had agreed to that blind date, who knows where we could’ve ended up?”

It was a thought that Yunho didn’t want to think about, relieved that in the end things had worked out beautifully for the two of you and your relationship.

“No other guy would have ever been good enough for you,” Yunho suddenly announced, “I knew all along that the only guy for you would be me, it was just a case of telling you that.”

“I agree, there was never anyone else for me but you.”

On the 6th hole, the sun is shining. It's a glorious day, Changmin notices his friend is not his usual self, "woman trouble?" He asks Minho casually. Minho voices his concerns that his lady love may be going to dump him. Changmin a loyal friend and a firm believer that his friend deserves happiness "I have an idea but first let's finish this game".

Minho explains he has an adventurous fun day planned. When they arrive "escape  rooms?"  Minho tells his lady love this is his friend's establishment and he asked him to test it out before he went public, so he thought why not help a friend and have fun. Walking to the door, the 'welcome' sign seemed ominous more than welcoming. Greeted by a cordial voice of welcome in the elaborate foyer. "Coffee?" Minho speaks up taking the kind offer of coffee stating make that two. The foyer is furnished elegantly with a feel of turn of the century.  "Please sign the waivers" the voice instructs.  Minho without hesitation picks up the quill pen and signs. "Why aren't you signing?" Minho asks.

"Did you even read it? It says if we don't get out by the time allotted we never get out!" Minho gives his lady a look of complete innocence,  "just a gimmick"

Signing the waiver with unease Minho smiles enigmatically.

"Choose or die!" The voice booms, one door labelled 'Heaven' the other 'Hell'. Minho leaps towards the door labeled 'Hell', "come on!" Entering through the doorway, once in the room the door slams shut. A timer on the wall clicks the minutes away, a neon sign flashes 'rest in pieces'. "We have to find clues, to find a way out!".

On the wall next to an electric light switch: a message.

Flipping the switch, zapppppp "fuck!" Minho rushes over "are you okay?" "No!".

A glass of water on a table stands out due to its solitude in an otherwise cluttered room. This can't be real? The water swirls in a current suspended above the glass, fascinated she touches the water and is swooped into a flood of water. Tumbling and spinning within the water bubble, tossed as if hit by wave upon wave, then suddenly she is dropped to the floor  with a loud bang! A drenched cat! "Wow, did you see that ?" Minho enquiries.

"Yes, let's get outta here,now !" She utters dazed.

Room upon room mishaps befall the unfortunate female whilst Minho remains unscathed. 

Tick tock tick tock. The timer counts down.

Looking for clues, the timer sounds off. "You are out of time!" A voice informs. "Minho did.."

Minho  is gone! "Minho Minho Minho Minho!" She screams.

Changmin is very pleased with the test, "ready for another round  let's hit the course" he smiles.

"Don't worry your lady is going nowhere!".
