Hey quick question do you know when the save function will be added to book 3 because I finished one of routes that I was playing on from the hosted games app and the option to name a save did not pop up?

Hosted Games require the sequel to be a good deal done before adding the save system into the previous game.

So I'll let them know when I'm 80-ish% done (I think that was the limit set, iirc) and they will hopefully add it in then.

I'll make sure to let everyone know when that happens!

Beloved Seren!! I'm curious about if you have theories/predictions about MC's condition, like from an astronomy point of view? You mentioned that you view how the energy comes and goes kind of like solar flares! And I've been predicting that the powers being too much for the MC to survive would be sort of like they were turned into a dying star...but I know like 0.1 astronomy thing and only for fic purposes lol. So I'm curious if you have an opinion/perspective/prediction on what is happening to MC? (I'm not sure if my question even makes sense and zero pressure at all to answer this haha ❤️ I just figured you would have a cool perspective on it!!)

Lovely PD, thank you for the ask <3 This is a very good question and I have been thinking about Li-Sar and the MC's power, but my theories are somewhat fuzzy.

First, the theory that is related to my comment about solar flares. One of the things that caught my attention was how often the demo mentions electricity in regard to Li-Sar's powers, while also mentioning their power is "solar magic". This made me think about the Sun's magnetic field lines, because the Sun's electric currents and magnetic field are linked closely together. Because of turbulence of the Sun's plasma, those magnetic field lines get all tangled up. This can lead to them breaking and connecting with others, a process that releases a burst of energy (magnetic reconnection, see v cool video here, though the image below is clearer), accelerating particles, and causing bursts of electromagnetic radiation: solar flares.

The radiation sickness, together the mentions of Li-Sar---and now the MC---wields solar radiation, fit with the idea of solar flares. Only it seems Li-Sar can control this, while we see that the MC cannot. Looking at Li-Sar's comment on how a human body won't be able to handle the building magic, my theory would be that the "flares", like that burst of power in chapter 2, will get stronger and more frequent, eventually tearing the MC apart. It wouldn't be the radiation itself, as that doesn't seem to be an issue so far, but rather the energy involved in powering those bursts. Obviously, I assume a solution will be found.

My second theory fits with you say about a dying star, because it could be like a supernova event! A supernova type Ia is what comes to mind, with a white dwarf (the MC) and a companion star (Li-Sar). The MC siphoned mass (this power) from Li-Sar, causing them to cross a certain threshold, which then leads to the explosion/death.

And another theory that no one asked for, but Li-Sar reminds me of an O or B type star, as they are blueish-white, fitting with the blue and white colour scheme that keeps popping up in the demo. These stars have masses between ~3 - 200 times the mass of the sun, so like Ostin said, they have the power of "a dozen suns" or even more.

Such high mass stars can end in supernova explosion without the need for a companion star. Ignoring ethical considerations and the canon lore behind the Agency not killing supernaturals, this might be a reason the Agency didn't kill Li-Sar. Their death might cause so much destruction and make the planet uninhabitable. But that's just me being speculative.

speaking of the twc book 4 demo, can i just say that morgan is slowly becoming one of my favorites? I didn't like her at all in book 1 and now she's fighting farah for that second spot. Ava is still my #1 although her scene in the demo feels like the exact same bakery scene from book 3.

this is so well-timed i've been meaning to replay the demo with my characters so i have been thinking about it so intently

my favourite female character: shery my angel !! she's so sweet i love how despite the fact she can't go out on the field and get involved in combat like the others she's still one of the most useful members of the shepherds and everyone acknowledges that & appreciates her. also her lil drunk scenes during the tower's trial arc was so fun i loved seeing a more relaxed side of her my favourite male character: riel is so my type alas. i love a tall dark snarky mf with a cane thank you kaz brekker. his wit is so fun and he's kind of similar to shery for me in the sense he's not a fighter but he's one of the most integral parts of the organisation & contributes so much to the plot & keeping things running three other favourite characters: lavinet (love the arc of a rich noble giving up her riches to slum it w the soldiers because she's so determined to help and participate), chase (always love a humorous lil criminal guy), and....... i am struggling so hard to pick between them for a #3. i grew unexpectedly fond of prihine mostly because i'm attached to all the ideas i have floating around in my head re: the girl i have for her ending, i love blade and seeing him warm up to you though i will eternally regret that he is heterosexual, i enjoy red's potential history with you and his magical expertise my least favourite character: i feel like i can't answer this until the full game is out, so far it's just .... the faceless lords. i haven't really come across a human character i remember that i- never mind i just remembered sibella de vespe exists my otp: unlike my answers for fh:r & twc i'm not really attached to any of the romantic dynamics in general outside of my own original characters i don't think?? out of those i think my fav dynamics of the ones i have going are dimka/riel, cordelia/blade, emmy/shery & jessamine/prihine my notp: none yet i don't think the character i’m most like: oh for Sure shery. very passive, very quiet, very book-wormy, easily frightened, self-conscious, gets insecure bc i'm not as physically strong or able to contribute to things as much as others, struggles to stand up for myself favourite game: n/a most attractive character: in my head it's riel, probably lavinet for the girls?? tho none of them are particularly my physical type

I've been replaying TWC over the last couple of months, and must say, it's been an entirely rejuvenating experience for me. Like, I was reading it the first time, although I've replayed the series quite too many (worrying number) of times already. And it still manages to amaze me, EVERY SINGLE TIME.

I've repeated this in the past, and I'll repeat it again. The Wayhaven Chronicles is a blessing for me and I'm sincerely thankful to have come across it when I did. And I'm grateful to you for making this lovely world a reality (and of course, the four beautiful vamps)! Really eager for Book 4 and have already player the demo; can say it's gonna be worth the wait. It every time is.

Replaying the series in the last few months, I had a certain uncontrollable urge to drop and ask a few questions to you. Apologize in advance for the long ask and message, but it had been bottling up inside of me for SOOOOOO LONG.

1. In Book 1, when we're to lead the investigation in one of the three directions, is there any way to get success in any direction without Bobby making a big joke out of our investigation in the newspaper?

2. In Book 2, when Nicole and Max Salinas come to report their incident, can Tina actually find out anything unusual? If so, what is actually needed to explain that?

3. In Book 3, I noticed if we choose to go the final mission alone, depending on the route chosen, Boddy/Doug will end up tagging along as well, jeopardizing everything. Is there still a way to complete the mission successfully and rescuing everyone like it happens when we go along with Rebecca?

4. Less of a question, but more of a plea. Please tell me we can get a pet anytime in the series. I was just curious if we can get one.

5. How powerful is the big baddie in Book 4 compared to Unit Bravo? You don't need to answer if this verges on spoiler-y territory.

Really sorry to overwhelm you with this, but it's just months and months of joy, happiness, and sheer ecstasy making me blabber on about this world like this. Thanks once again, for making this truly beautiful story, world, and the vampires a reality.

You can never play a game you love too many times (I keep telling myself that as I gradually burn a hole into my poor old console playing Dragon Age over and over, lol!)! If it brings you happiness, then that's what is important! :D

Ok, let's see about the questions...it's been a whole since I've gone through the older games without being in editing mode, hehe!

I don't think so...Bobby is, well, Bobby. And that scene was there very much to establish their character and show the player what type of person they are.

I don't think so, again. If there's anything unusual or odd, then I usually like to let the MC find that instead of it happening 'off-screen' so it's more impactful for the player—unless it's Verda discovering stuff, because that needs to happen for…reasons.

Iirc, in the Bobby/Doug routes, you get the auction scene, so a lot of that branch involves focusing on saving yourself! But the other team that joins Unit Bravo will help in saving a lot of the captives in that version.

I would love that being a massive animal companion fan myself, hehe! But likely not, just because the MC is away a lot from home, and that's unfair on the pet, even a fictional one, lol. I was tempted to give the MC a supernatural pet that hung around at the facility—that was definitely a strong idea at one point just so I could write a pet in the series for those that wanted it (me, I was the one who wanted it, hehe!) :D

**BOOK FOUR DEMO SPOILERS AHEAD** It's not just that Book Four's villain is terrifyingly powerful (or will be. They are, thankfully for the MC and UB, in a weakened state for a while due to what's happened to them and what happened in Chapter Two) but it's a lot to do with the fact that their power specifically counteracts and weakens Unit Bravo's. So that's a double whammy!
