Am I the only one who thinks it’s for people to just block people. Like maybe they just don’t like the character you always draw, or the way you talk, or whatever. No one needs a reason.

I think we should be talking about season 2 episode 9 of Hilda more‼️‼️

it goes a little more into how Hilda and twig met, twigs family + species, even if it isn’t a lot. Also, the soundtrack?! That episode might just have the best soundtrack out of s2. The way it shows baby twig and Hilda!!!! They’re so itty bitty, that’s a W episode in my book. Hilda has a knack for getting into danger, but we all knew that from day 1. Twig felt alone since moving to trolberg, and once he ran off and they all went looking- they realized the error of their actions and changed, showing it’s that easy!

Twig is easily my favorite character, i wish we had more insight on deer foxes because their species is so cool and beautiful like those tails and antlers are amazing!!!!

Thoughts on The Crow(2024)

The director really fucked up by deciding to retell the story of Shelly and Eric. Fans know that the Crow is a legacy character so just tell a different story with different characters while still having the Crow be resurrected. EVERYTHING about this new movie is completely different from the 90s version but some studio exec was like "ayo, you still gotta call the leads Eric & Shelly so the fans recognize them." No, I don't recognize these characters! You shoulda just called them Alice and Brian or something cuz that's not my Eric & Shelly. I hate when writers wanna tell original stories but they gotta use recognizable characters to do it, which leaves a bad taste.

q!charlie could be manipulated by the federation so quickly and so easily. like he would genuinely do anything to get his daughter back. he’s shown that before (like when he tried to burn down the entire server and kill all the eggs, when he tried to ritualistically sacrifice mariana, when he was willing to give up his own soul) but i think something important about tonight is that he’s shown that again.

like. yes. he’s obviously been seriously upset about her death and its wrecked him. but when he was getting drunk or singing about her at the wedding, those types of situations, it didn’t have the same complete vulnerability that he showed tonight.

and then cucurucho shows up. we don’t know how long it was there or it was listening. but if it was it definitely knows the state charlie’s in now.

the federation could take control of him so easily its insane. he would truly do anything for her, and the fact that he hasn’t been letting himself grieve or heal further shows just how far he could go

and oh my god no one else knows how bad it is. no one else knows he much he’s suffering and he doesn’t have a super close ally so oh my god the federation could fully take control of him and if they did it right. no one would know

learn from jaiden and cellbit and how other people got in the way or stopped the federation from being able to hold control over them

and unlike those two, he has nothing to lose. he genuinely has nothing anymore.

Ok. So, I’ve seen a couple of different ways, but there’s only one right way to actually represent his communication.

BSL. The telepathy and magic slide cards are just..honestly lazy and ableist. They make it so everyone understand him as if he was ‘normal’. I’m disabled, but I don’t use sign myself, so I can’t really say anything. But, just write him with BSL, draw him with BSL. Please. Disabled people deserve real representation.

I feel like the flashbacks of young Terry and Kreese don't explain enough how John became the person he is in the first Karate Kid movie. In the flashbacks Kreese honestly just seems nice so all I'm wondering is how and when did he become the kind of person who is cruel and willing to strangle a teenager over losing a competition just a few years later.

I don't get it either. 🤷

John and Terry are in Korea, training with Kim Sun-Yung, as late as 1980, seemingly mellow and absolutely normal (on the surface??), and even their training seems fairly commonplace and not tremendously out of the ordinary type of cruel or excessive by the looks of it --- nothing that could bring them down a dark, messed up path, and then some odd five years later (in John's case...two or three maximum, because TKK1 takes place in 1983 and for all we know, such is undoubtedly Terry's timeline too) and yet somehow, when we see them in the original movie, they're absolute coke-binging, teenage-strangling, despotic, psychopathic, manipulative, sadistic, cruel, cackling maniacs and it is at no point shown to us how they got to this extreme point. Like, if you're out to tell the story how John Kreese and Terry Silver became John Kreese and Terry Silver then tell the story.

1. dry palm fronds make incredible kindling material. the leafy part takes incredibly fast, and the woody part catches fast but also makes a good stick base for your log.
