Can you do a one shot where the reader gets angry at Dean so they wish him a happy Mother's Day on purpose and then regrets it later?
THIS WAS SUCH AN EVIL REQUEST
YOU CAN TELL FROM THE WRITING STYLE THAT I WAS REALLY GIDDY AND EXCITED WHILE READING IT
YOU MONSTER LOOK AT WHAT YOU MADE ME WRITE
I hope you like it, Love <3 Thank you so much for the request and staaaay hydrated!

Dean x Reader where you lose someone close to you during a hunt and Dean is only able to patch up your physical wounds. (idk nothing specific just something to build on. Also, I know exactly how you feel, but I've read a lot of your stuff and it's amazing! Thanks for the Mother's Day fic, btw)
So I was cleaning out my inbox and I found this. I actually wrote this prompt and never answered the ask, so if anyone wants it here’s a short lil tidbit about the story and then a link :)
Title: Nothing
Summary: Imaging Dean only being able to fix your physical wounds, not your emotional ones, after a hunt that went personal.
Word Count: 2,053
And then here’s a link: [Nothing]

Look, I'm not exactly questioning your sexuality, but have you ever hit a woman?

Being Poor in a Rich Place
After reading this book, even as a Californian, I felt connected to very few of Didion’s ideas and observations. On page 182 of Joan Didion’s Where I Was From, I finally found an idea that resonated with me as a Californian. Didion says, “For most of my life California felt rich to me […] This was by no means to say that I believed that all or even most Californians to be rich, only to suggest that the fact of having no money seemed to me to lack, in California, the immutable gravity that characterized the condition elsewhere” (182). Even though this might be one of the more illogical ideas in the book, it somehow makes the most sense to me. When I walk down the Venice Boardwalk and see lines of homeless people up and down streets, they rarely seem to strike me as unhappy. And when I think about it, why should they be? These people live on the beach, in a place where the sun always shines, they have friends and usually drugs or alcohol, and there are all sorts of forms of entertainment and action happening right in front of them every day. Obviously being poor is never a good thing, but at the same time being poor in sunny, vibrant California seems a lot less miserable than being poor in cold, windy, grimy New York City. I can’t say I agree with all of the sentiments Didion expresses about California, but ironically I found the sentiment that appears to make very little sense to be the one that I identified with the most.
