i am simply a sucker for the battle healer archetype/characters who know how to kill you a hundred different ways, but would really rather not. characters who have faced the endless horrors but still choose to be kind and gentle and good where they can, or who fight the darkness not out of rage or pride but out of a desire to protect. characters who know what suffering is and want to make sure others don't have to. you know. the light at the end of the tunnel and choosing kindness and healing even though it would be so easy for them to cause harm instead. being the shield before the sword. all that.

3) Ive been in a few fandoms so here u go!

-Good omens : I relate to aziraphale quite a bit, so yea.. the anxiety issues arent great. Like someone help😃

-Psych: I relate to a character named gus in this show, and lets just say a bit of weed and xanax would do this man wonders

-Monk: In this show I relate to a man named adrian monk. And again, im finding a pattern here, anxious neurodivergent bitches are my jam

-Justified: I mean most of the characters in this show are complex murderous ppl very skilled with guns but I would say I probably relate to a chracter named rachel brooks (if I was as competent as her ofc)

-Derry girls : I mean obv clare (cause shes just caucasian me) but I genuinely feel like im a mix of orla and clare (2 characters in the show). So yea im both clueless and panicky at all times much like these two respectively

8) ooofff. This is a rlly REALLY good question lol. I feel like as a kid, I felt really connected to queen, particularly freddie mercury bc I grew up listening to queen, the band was my dads fav and he used to play their songs all the time it was our form of bonding, and when I grew a bit older (like 12 and realized I was queer) I felt very.. happy. Knowing that one of the people I most admired, who ultimately was loved by everyone and got to live briefly with the person he loved.. was a brown queer guy. Who grew up in India. Just like me. It made me feel.. well happy. It made me feel like I could do it too.

And I wouldnt say im as connected to george harrison as I am to queen, but Here Comes the Sun has been played by me whenever I feel extra gloomy, and it always works. I love that mans voice and writing. It feels so comforting, and im grateful that song exists.

So ultimately it would be these 2 artists.

11) Ahhh an ideal day. It would start out with me waking up late lol. Maybe a rainy day (a lil bit cloudy I love those days), and it would start with me having tea with my mom and sister, and we would talk about whatever. Then it would be us eating the special food my mother usually makes on sundays, and it would be us eating and laughing together, promptly followed by a lovely nap. And then in the evening I would paint with music on in the same room as my sister, where we sing the lyrics very loudly lol, and then get called by my mom for evening tea where we again, talk a whole bunch and have a great time (this time with my dad joining us as well) and then dinner, and then more painting and then 'sleeping' in my room (whilst actually giggling and laughing away with my sister untill we are too tired to do anything else but sleep)

Yea thats a very detailed ideal day actually oh god but yknow. I STAND BY IT OK THATS IT

ive been following rywd for a while and im loving the rewrite so far! i think it gives the mc so much more depth to point of striking a few chords. as someone whos struggled quite a bit, i can see myself in mc in a grounded way. the desire for normalcy juxtaposed to needing the buzz of danger as well as wanting to feel involved and included in others lives but viewing urself as unlovable unless you can provide something. your actions contradicting how you feel and clinging on to things that make you feel a little human, like its all so good!!!! i love it so much and i love your writing and cant wait to see where you take the story

so first of all thank you sm for the ask! I haven't had much feedback on whether ppl like the rewrite more (I guess bc it's shorter than the previous one rn) but reading your ask made me very happy!

I had hoped and wanted the rewrite to give the merc more depth, instead of simply making them be this shrill entity that goes about killing ppl because orla said so.

what you've described is also spot on! the merc can easily lose themself in a world as violent and vibrant as Vapolis but it's so interesting to see what happens when they try not to. when they cling to some sort of humanity and compassion they have left. that's not me saying the violent route is bad, since there are moments of reflection as well, but those moments are rlly there to develope the merc and have them feel as part of the world and the effects that world has on them.

I hope you'll continue to feel connected to the story and what I'm going for in the merc's route and ty for the very sweet ask <3

went with Blue <3 Headcanon A: realistic — I think she and Orla were much closer (not that they aren’t close now but just in the sense of them getting along / actively wanting to do more together) when they were younger like I could see elementary schooler Blue really looking up to and wanting to be like her, but I feel like once Orla started dating Blue started having a lot of conflicted feelings about it since she has the curse and therefore doesn’t have freedom to do some of the things Orla can, and then Orla would be doing more on the psychic business side of things and it just spiraled from there into there being more rivalry while they still love each other like siblings.

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious — what I said about Gwenllian being her bi awakening and the Layers there

Headcanon C: heart crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends — I do think the combination of losing Persephone, Jesse and killing Gansey with her mouth even if he did come back, And losing her mom temporarily, really would mess her up in the following years, especially after she had the preemptive guilt for the curse for years before so it’d be a confusing mix of relief that’s over and more fear than ever before about the potential of loss in some ways. I think she would get panic attacks, and since both Gansey and Maura are partially in a way the subject I don’t think either would be her primary person to talk to about it I think her go to is Henry and in other situations it’s Calla.

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own — she does in fact study ecology and river systems in college… I Could see her taking some sociology classes especially if they overlapped with women’s studies or anthropology actually could see ethnography appealing to her but it wouldn’t be her major.

MINAH — water. it's about everything going on under the surface and the stubbornness and fitting into whatever shape or channel she has to in order to keep moving forward DAI — earth. partially because of the whole earth genasi thing, but mostly because he's born from the mountains and his roots go deep. as much as he's a cleric of the sky, the whole point of flight is that eventually you have to find somewhere safe to land. ENIKO — water. deep, dark, inscrutable, swiftly moving, dangerous. adaptable and always fit to the container he's in.

47. when they meet someone, what is the first thing they notice?

MINAH — their money. not just where their purse is (that too) but what they're wearing, how they carry themself, what they flaunt and what they hide. DAI — daichi, daichi, what do your +15 insight eyes see? ALL. in all seriousness, he tends to observe how people carry themselves and how they react to other people around them. he might be shit at expressing himself but he's good at reading a room. ENIKO — their hands, their weapons, and their hands in relation to their weapons.

61. what kind of flower would they choose to pick from a meadow?

MINAH — all of them. she'd make a lovely little bouquet, tied with string DAI — something pretty but also with useful medicinal properties ENIKO — none. but if he had to, he'd pick sunflowers

Derry Girls Season 3

I loved this show and I loved this season. This was actually my favorite season so far. And while I’m sad it ended, I’m glad it ended like this.

This show did such a good job of tying in what it was like in Northern Ireland at the time while also making it a show about their friend group. I never really learned in school what Ireland went through. So this show was actually a shock to me. It made this show a lot better. It was both funny and serious. Like when Orla was skipping around in the last episode listening to music and then it ends with her having to walk through a barricade.

Thoughts:

3x06 went from Go Clare! to Oh God Poor Clare

I thought it was really cute to have it end with Chelsea Clinton finally receiving their letter

I loved the episode of the Mammy’s in their reunion and high school. It was nice seeing how similar they were to the girls when they were younger

It was so cute when James confessed to Erin, and I understand why nothing really happened past that episode. I hope something happened in the future with them

Liam Neeson showing up was really nice. And the fact that he was broken by Erin and Colm was so funny. I went to find a clip of it to show my boyfriend. And I think it was called “the unbreakable man finally broken”

Seeing everyone at the polling station voting yes was such a moving scene to watch and was a good way to end the show.

The final episode with Michelle was actually my favorite episode with her. I’m so used to her being, well, Michelle that it was interesting to see this side of her

Orla continues to be my favorite character in the whole show. With Sister Michael of course being a close second.

Overall I loved this show so much. And I’m sad that I’m now done with it.

who is/are your comfort character(s)?

does comfort have to mean I feel normal and calm about them in addition to them bringing you comfort bc if so I don't know if I have any 🙃 assuming the definition is not that strict let's go with... echo/ash from the 100 and then entire crew of the revenge from ofmd bc they all bring me joy

matches all the way, I almost always have some within ~15 seconds away

3. do you leave the window open at night?

if the temperature outside is right for it then absolutely! here that means fall and spring but in my old apartment it was always so hot so I also left my windows open during the winter which was kinda awesome

6. why did you do that?

probably because I wasn't paying attention but possibly because I felt like it

if this in a school sense then band in general either sewing or playing piano. it depends a little on my mood and a lot on who else is home (I don't like playing piano when someone else is around)

I always mix up which is which but I'm the one that can't see far away. when I got my driver's license the guy who did the eye test was like 'do you by chance have glasses?' and I said yes at home and he said 'okay go get them and come back' and I thought he was joking but no I'm legally required to wear glasses to drive

21. something you’ve kept since childhood?

I'm very selective about the physical possessions I keep but I do have a few year books and journals from elementary/middle school. I was a very blunt writer in third grade so those are entertaining to look back on

too many to name! I'm a chronic repeat-listener and will put the same song on repeat for hours at a time and days in a row. some of my most frequently repeated songs the past few months have been: my heart is buried in venice by ricky montgomery, the sharpest lives by mcr, and heavy by orla gartland

that hologram & dog scene scene are soooo rent-free for me. I'm just obsessed w the vibe of a character being seen as someone's guard dog, as theirs to own to the point where you lose yourself in that image ppl have of you.
