No more “andy is the female sirius” bs okay. If Andy is the female version of any character then it’s Remus Lupin. Angry and lonely and selfish to the bone. Both of them alike, it saved their lives. It pulled them away from the war. They were scared. They were brave. They chose their own way. They cowered in the face of discrimination. They never quite ridded themselves of the insecurity. Quick on their feet, quick to anger, first to draw blood. They loved from afar, afraid they would get hurt, afraid of the consequences of their own feelings. Afraid they would hurt those they loved. Andy ran away with ted at last. Remus kissed Sirius when the time was right. The first punch was thrown, but it wasn’t good enough. Neither of them ever knew how to live without hurting. Neither of them ever managed to draw back their fists, lower their guards. Neither of them knew how to kiss without tasting the blood and cigarette smoke. Remus would howl at the moon and Andy would see her sister’s face in the mirror, and both of them alike, they would forever be haunted by the echoes of the things they might become if they let go of the leashes.
