I haven’t seen the new severance yet but my view re: pregnancy plots is that if there’s a limited number of women in your cast and they all are pregnant/want to be/might be? It’s lazy and bad. I’m kinda ok with it if the performer is pregnant irl and they wrote that into the plot but not always

Honestly I’m still pissed about Lila’s pregnancy in the umbrella academy, she would have aborted it! Only thing that saved Viktor from being defined by parenthood is Elliot coming out, I’m convinced of that

Like I want to have kids but it feels misogynistic in fiction to have all your female characters defined by motherhood/the lack of motherhood.
