Calli and Gura covering Eastnewsound's rendition of UN Owen Was Her? while dancing around in bikinis was not on my docket list for this year, but now that I got it, how can I complain?
I've been a fan of Touhou music (both the original versions and fan remixes) for years. One of the more prominent Touhou songs is called "U.N. Owen Was Her?" Judging from the fanart that often accompanies remixes and such, I assume U.N. Owen was the blonde vampire girl.
But that leaves a bunch of questions unanswered. Like, why did she call herself U.N. Owen? Both in the sense of "why did she need an alias" and "why that alias"? I realize it's probably supposed to sound like "unknown," but Remilla(?) still had to have some reason for picking that particular thing that sounds like "unknown".
And what does U.N. stand for? Is she claiming to be United Nations Owen?
I guess I could just play whichever Touhou game "U.N. Owen Was Her?" is originally from. That might answer my questions, if I could beat any of the bosses.
"In a secluded corner of Hell, there dwells a psychotic rainbow monster name Julie Joyful. She lives in her garden where she spends her time gardening planets and talking to them too. But when she's not planting flowers or talking to them, she finds new friends to play her favorite games. Julie has an affinity for games, but doesn't play nice. She prefers games that involve sharp objects and a peculiar interest in the sight of blood. Her favorite pastime? A twisted version of hide-and-seek, or her most favorite one, tag. If your the unlucky one who comes across her garden in Hell, be ready to run as fast as you can or hide some where that she can't find you. Don't breath and don't look for her, trust me. Her giggles, while innocent in sound, carry an eerie undertone that leaves a chill down the spine of those who hear it. If she sees you, you're IT, If she doesn't see you try to escape the garden. Julie can't get of the garden with out her flower friends, they need her to give them more and more blood. Would you like to come to the garden, and smell the flowers with her... neighbor?"
i think if howl were to have a boss theme, it would involve his normal leitmotif with an additional melody. but with the addition of like the organ and tolling bells
