Zuko is only distrustful and standoffish to azula because he's trying to protect himself from her. Azula is a hateful qnd cruel person and he knows who she really is. He doesn't owe someone who bodyshames him and his unclr, abuses him and tried to kill them both multiple times and imprisoned said uncle, therefore isolating him from any positive influences anything. If Anon thinks zuko's mean, wait til they realize that there's abuse victims who have rightfully said far worse than zuko ever will about their own abuser.
