I started this today and have barely been able to stop listening. It's so fun and nostalgic!

okay i have talked about norwegian bread lunch culture and fish propaganda but do you know what else is a big staple in norwegian cuisine. Boiled Potatoes. this is maybe not so special in and of itself, and it's honestly an Older Generations specific thing presumably tied to norway's past as a very poor country. old norwegians MUST have boiled potatoes for their dinner. it doesn't matter what dinner it is, the side is Potato. i've heard of norwegian retirees going on a trip to Italy and being served pasta and refusing to eat anything until they've been served Boiled Potatoes as a side.

my sister and i watched aristocats together and when we realized that the mouse roquefort was named after cheese for the rest of the movie when he was on screen we would take turns calling him different cheeses djksdjjdn

It’s a bit annoying that in the anime Takeo and Yamato harp so much more on Suna about him not being interested in romance than they do in the manga. Like it’s certainly present in the manga but tonally much different and not nearly to the same extent and I definitely prefer the way it’s handled there than the anime.

i think we've known each other long enough that its time i make a confession
I pronounce Ewan McGregor's first name like "Erin", but with the W in there. I have to manually currect myself in my head before i say it out loud. Every time. I read that name and go "Oh! It's Ewin! Wait no, that's wrong."
i think we've known each other long enough that its time i make a confession
I was today years old when I found out it's pronounced Yoo-uhn bc all this time I thought it was Erin but with the W in there
unrelated but it was only like five years ago when I finally realised that 'oregano' wasn't just pronounced Oregon with another O on the end

up to no gouda
slight throwback shopping with @lgcyushin
he's not really sure how they had managed to find spare time to go shopping together, but either way, he's pretty happy to spend time with his friend.
considering that yushin is a member of one of the prominent boy groups of the company, iseul is going to take any free time the other has to offer him readily. and they had mentioned going clothes shopping, because iseul had wanted a new pair of shoes, so that's where they are. he has a hat pulled over his head, though he's pretty sure no one will really know who he is. he hasn't really made any public appearances, aside from being on stage during the family concerts so he's not too worried. yushin, on the other hand, is definitely more likely to be recognized.
taking a sip from his americano, he looks over at the older male. "did you see those red boots that went viral?" he asks, "the ones by mschf?" he looks amused, seeing them in the window of the store across the street.
"i heard they came out with something new," he adds, fully aware of what he was talking about but not sure if yushin kept up to date with the weird fashion trends of the world.

i like the idea of gouda being really into fortnite and overwatch and playing them virtually anytime they get the chance. goku probs doesn't understand games all that well (i like to imagine he doesn't really understand technology all that much) but he finds it very entertaining watching gouda curse someone out over voice chat and threaten to beat the shit out of someone with their keyboard

BREAD!
made my grandma's recipe, which I haven't done in a while. it's still the best-tasting bread ever to me (though I may regret this decision bc it's kinda crumbly and not very good for sandwiches).
