DannyMay Split AU Week 3 - Revenge

As the years passed so too did Danny's life without him. Even though he aged, his mentality didn't. Steadily, Phantom started taking over more and more. The villains he once fought against with near cartoonish antics now attacked mercilessly. For most it was the replacement of resentments by rage, no longer solely "haunted" by a life poorly lived. Their loss of freedom left them volatile towards Danny. For Vlad, it was much more personal.

Despite the growing collection of scars, Phantom always pressed on. Picking up the slack from his human counterpart. Regardless of his own hatred towards the teen, he had to protect the one he shared a body with.

When I tell you I haven’t drawn in so long it’s… oh my days. This is me getting back into the groove of it. Also coming across my first sketchbook has really shown me how much I’ve grown as an artist, and I’m feeling pretty proud of myself.

Also, should mention, Shadow is gonna get revamped. After seeing the design I had for him I decided that I can’t let my boy be disrespected like that so that might appear at some point. I don’t think I have the energy for coloured pieces but I’ll do my best to get some basic sketches out

Ngl I'm feeling bad for taking such a long break away from BotSE. I haven't been feeling the main comic story lately but I really want to expand on other parts of the universe- like Wambus and Gyiel growing up in the Triplicate more. But also I really want to make comics again. world is a fuck

I haven't even like...gotten into the meat of the comic yet. Which kinda sucks that I'm starting to lose steam, I did too much set up I think with the first three chapters. I'm also just starting to lose confidence in the quality of my main story.

I’ve been trying to avoid coming to this conclusion for a while but, as much as I love comics, I’m extremely insecure about my skillset in it. Like more insecure than I thought. If you were waiting for that Batfamily comic, this has been the reason why I haven’t done it yet. So I decided to stop doing comics for the time being until I gain my confidence, I don’t want to be anxious about drawing comics so I need to take my time with drawing again. Or at the very least start really small comics and then work my way up.

Anyway here’s a sketch of Gwen and Ganke…I have more sketches, lemme know if you wanna see the rest but do be warned…a couple of pages are just my Spider-Man ships.
