no shade but i'm just a little disheartened by how many people say stuff adjacent to "let staff do what they want for breed designs, they just wanna make designs that appeal to a lot of people." which yeah, staff is in charge and can do whatever they want, cuz thats what being staff means. but players are sad because they are hoping for more body diversity representation among site breeds, specifically fat dragons! diversity and appeal are not mutually exclusive!!

i made these when s3 came out to try to understand the difernces in animation style, wanted to do all the characters but i never got around to it so im just posting these little s1 vs s2 vs s3 comparisons + a couple of redraws

UPDATE

I’m writing this on mobile so apologies if it looks funky but looking at how other authors were writing their IFS and realizing I was trying to do way too much at the same time as writing it (basically I was trying to code the chapter as I was writing it) I have gotten all of chapter 1 written and now I just gotta figure out to get the stupid thing coded

Also because unfortunately even with all the tutorials I’m still having issues actually understanding choicescript I’m most likely gonna pivot to twine

Unfortunately it isn’t a good one, due to still being stuck with my aunt and uncle and me having to try and scramble to find housing before I am summarily kicked out on july 15th there has been no progress.

I am deeply sorry about this, it has just overall been a miserable time. I am hoping that if I can find housing (fingers crossed) that once I am moved out and settled down I can start working on this in earnest.

But for now I will just try to hammer out lore posts and work on moodboards for you guys.

Also I am probably gonna try and reblog some ask things in case you guys want that.

more swag updates/details:

(when i say pond I'm referring to the 40gal stock tank. skippy is still in the 55gal in the basement).

rinsed and set up an old whisper power 60 filter (something like that) and it runs nicely and QUIETLY. I put it in the pond to replace the old bio wheel filter which stopped spinning again (and had become loud and I'm sick of it)(a moment of silence for the bio wheel filter that is now shut down).

i shoved plastic pond balls into one side of the filter and the 2 bio wheels in the other. there's another spare bio wheel just floating in the pond lmao. there's no mechanical filtration in there tho. i put some more pond balls in the 55gal with skippy so they can get good bio from her tank.

i messaged the seller of the 75gal stock tank and haven't heard back yet, i hope I can get it 🤞 skippy would certainly love the room.

also i planted some assorted pond plants in a glass jar in the pond. they're looking good and fluffing up! if skippy digs them up when she goes out, then i can put the jar INSIDE of a "fish bowl" so she can't reach the roots/stems lmao. can u believe some people still think you can keep a goldfish in a bowl, i don't think skippy can even fit INTO it!
