It looks like a neat white farmhouse in Murrysville, Pennsylvania, but not only is it a seriously dated 1966 mid-century modern, it has the weirdest architectural features and needs a very deep cleaning. It has 5bds, 5.5ba, and it was reduced $35K to $535K. I think they're gonna have to go lower b/c there's a lot of work to do here.

The description calls this a stunning entry with exquisite chandeliers. I see a dated and dirty carpet. So, they took two vases off those corner shelves and left the dirt.

Now, here we have a fake forest with treetops smooshed right into the ceiling. I can't tell if that's a water fall in the right corner, but it's full of dirt and looks broken.

The stone thing on the left must be a planter, but how deep is it? It looks like the bottom fell out. Next is the octagonal mezzanine in the ceiling. It's a big open space and it must've been dramatic when it was new?

Behind the long stone structure is a mural. Maybe it's an indoor pond.

Here's the view from the top. The empty plastic containers must be planters.

The kitchen is huge but the cabinets are in good shape. The counters look like an old version of a composition material like Corian.

What is that black panel over the fridge?

The kitchen certainly has a comprehensive sprinkler system in the ceiling.

This is a vast area for a living room. Do they make ride-on vacuums? Looks like something's missing from the ceiling feature.

Here's a family room area with a fireplace.

The spiral stairs in the family room lead up here. I have no idea what this is and what that fenced in area is for. There appears to be a terrace with a BBQ kettle outside.

In the primary bedroom they left a bed platform and dirty upholstered headboard with matching linens.

MCM bath has a walk-in tub. They're very expensive and range in price from $2K - $10K.

Whoever designed this house really liked these openings in the ceilings. According to the description you can see clear up to this one on the 3rd fl. from the 1st. fl., but this is clearly an unfinished attic.

They do sell tension legs for sinks like this, but the owners have cleverly installed a plunger to fashion a sort of pedestal sink.

What a long garage.

This is a deceiving property. I thought that the farmhouse was for sale, but I didn't see the mid-century home attached to it. The land measures 1.3 acres.

“Jesus Christ, Eddie, you need to sit still.”

You had repeated the damn sentence nearly forty times over the course of the last day, hands shoving gently at his bandaged shoulders to force him back down on the clean white bed.

Your own uncomfortable upholstered chair had survived being shoved around as you stood abruptly, over and over, steadying your boyfriend who was so desperate to just stand up and move.

“If I lay in a bed any longer, I swear to you, I will forget how to walk,” Eddie tossed his head back, messy curls landing on the pillow behind him, “It’s been like, seven weeks.”

“It’s been five days, Eds,” you corrected, giving him a pointed look, “You’ve barely healed. The doctor said it’ll take nearly three weeks before you find that you’re strong enough to hold your own body weight.”

Eddie had taken quite the horrid beating — he had practically been mauled alive by demobats after throwing himself into the eye of the storm to save you and Dustin. At the time, you had been devastated. Holding his limp, bleeding body in your arms as you sobbed freely. He had been fading, eyes struggling to stay open and words becoming slurred. It was truly the most gut-wrenching pain you could imagine.

It was the kind of fear you had never thought you’d experience. And hoped you’d never experience again.

But Dustin had helped you carry Eddie’s body back, rushing him to the nearest hospital that was taking “earthquake” victims, and he pulled through. He had lost so much blood — so much damn blood, you disgustingly believed it was enough to fill a swimming pool in the Upside Down. He had been pale, shaky as he woke in the blasting white lights of the Hawkins Hospital.

You hadn’t thought you’d see his eyes again. The big brown eyes that had become your home, or feel the fingers that had brought you out of stressful times by running through your hair, massaging your shoulders. Grounding you.

He was alive.

“Three weeks. That’s about as long as it takes for a kid to grow up,” his eyes were wide as he spoke to you, “By the time I’m out of here, Henderson will be married with seven kids. And they’ll be going off to college and getting married too.”

You fought a grin at his dramatics. It wasn’t surprising that he was frustrated — the Vecna issue hadn’t been solved yet, the world was still going to shit, and he couldn’t do anything to help.

“Don’t worry, I’ll tell Dustin to hold on until you’re healed before he gets married,” you leaned forwards onto the bed, elbows resting next to his side as you linked your fingers with his hand — god, you hated the little tubes and gadgets that were stuck to it — and gave him a smile, “that way you can attend the wedding. Deal?”

A small smile made its way onto his face, dimple faintly appearing, before he glanced down at you, “So long as you’ll be my date.”

You let out a laugh, shaking your head. Laughter bubbled out of his throat as well, causing warmth to spread in your chest — he hadn’t let out a genuine laugh since he witnessed everything this last week — before you gave him an answer.

“Course I’ll be your date, you twerp,” you gave his arm the lightest shove, causing him to let out another small laugh, “Who else would I go with? Besides, I think my money’s on Joyce and Hop getting married first. Those two can’t keep their damn hands off each other.”

He gave a nod, dimples still prominent in his cheeks. You absolutely adored them, the way they’d show off his smile, let you know how happy he really was. Eddie deserved happiness. He deserved everything in the world.

“You’re not wrong,” he pursed his lips before continuing, “But maybe we’ll beat them to it.” He gave a wiggle of his eyebrows, shooting you a wink and giving your hand a squeeze.

You rolled your eyes, pretending his words didn’t cause fireworks to start going off inside your head, “Beat then to what? Getting married or not keeping our hands off each other?”

“Married, duh,” he accentuated the word clearly, not even shy about the confession or anything. The last time Eddie had spoken to you about marriage, his ears had turned lightly pink and he could barely look you in the eye. But here he was now, full confidence and unwavering eye contact.

Since he had awoken, Eddie had seemed… different. He was confident. Self assured. You wondered if surviving one of the most horrific attacks in Hawkins history had done something to him. Made him feel worthy of survival, one of the few people here who knew the truth and could save more people. Eddie loved helping people, making them feel better about themselves and who they are. It was about time he felt that way about himself.

“You think we’ll get married before them?” you tilted your head to the side, resting it on the palm of your hand that was still rested on the edge of his bed, “That’s a bold prediction.”

He scoffed, rolling his eyes playfully, “Bold prediction? I don’t think so,” he leaned ever so slightly off the bed, “If it weren’t for the fact that I would collapse if I stood up, I’d be down on one knee right now, princess.”

Jesus Christ.

Your boyfriend was a menace.

“Alright, Eds,” you chuckled, bringing one of his hands up to your lips and pressing a kiss against his knuckles, “That can be the first thing you do when you get healed, okay? One step at a time.”

The smirk never left his face but he playfully rolled his eyes and crossed his arms after you dropped his hand, “Fine. Fine. Priorities, I guess.”

The light from the tiny window was cascading against his face, illuminating the light brown natural highlights that curled through his hair, the warmth of his eyes, the paleness of his skin. You tried not to focus too much on the fact that he still looked like he had lost too much blood. His usually tanned skin from smoking outdoors in the trailer park was a bit more pink — scar tissues already beginning to form across his chest and abdomen — and you could see it in his eyes as well. They were sunken in, darker. Lacking a bit of their usual mischief.

You were so damn grateful that he was emotionally and mentally feeling tip top, or else you’d be a mess seeing him like this every day. His positive, chipper attitude helped you recover as well.

“Yes, priorities,” you wiggled your finger at him, “Besides, Dustin and the little worms are stopping by in a little while, so you need to save your energy for them. Dustin says he’s bringing over everything you guys need to play a quick campaign.”

You could see the way he perked up at the mention of the Hellfire gang stopping by, but he brushed it off as he looked at you with a wiggle of his eyebrows, “Why save my energy when we can burn a couple calories right here, right now?”

“Fuckin’ hell, Eds,” you tossed your head back and let out a laugh, “Get your mind out of the gutter, would you?”

You grazed your fingers along his inner forearm as you stood from the little chair, nails snagging the gauze and causing your heart to flutter in a bad way. He was covered in bandages nearly head to toe, and the sight caused bile to rise in your throat. It was sickening to see how much damage had been done.

You approached the window as you heard Eddie behind you, turning over on his side and grabbing a handful of the snack you had brought to his side today. Well, brought seems too casual. Smuggled is more like it. Last time you had brought Froot Loops, the nurse had snatched them away before you could even ask why.

So today, you smuggled in blueberries. They’re healthy, right? Natural sugars and shit like that. That would help Eddie.

The afternoon sun was shining down on Hawkins, but the town was dead silent. No one was out. No one dared leave the comfort of their home. You couldn’t blame them, really. The only reason you left your house was to see Eddie.

You sighed, turning around to face him. You were now blocking most of the sunlight, which he seemed grateful for. You guessed it made sense — it was undoubtedly warm and stuffy under all that gauze.

“Don’t eat them all, Munson,” you grinned at him, “They’re to last the day.”

He held his blueberry-filled hands up in mock surrender, “What? I’m regrowing skin, princess. Let me get that energy that you so desperately want me to save.”

“I didn’t mean shove your face full of fruit,” you obviously weren’t going to prevent him from eating, but you had hoped he’d at least have some to last him the rest of the afternoon, “I meant sit still and relax.”

“Hard to relax when you’re around,” he wiggled his eyebrows, “If y’know what I mean.”

A flush crept through your chest at his implication, wishing more than anything that you could indeed just pounce on him and get lost in each other. But that wasn’t going to happen. Not now, not for a while.

“Of course I know what you mean,” you walked over to his bedside, standing next to him as you ran your hand through his curls, “Everyone knows what you mean.”

His eyes fluttered shut as you began to run your nails through his hair, against his scalp. He didn’t even muster up a sarcastic response, leaning into your touch and letting his muscles relax.

Eddie loved having his hair played with. Whether it be running your fingers through it as you watched a movie or cuddled in bed, or when you braided little sections of it as he led campaigns, he often found himself getting completely and utterly lost in your touch.

“Feels nice,” he hummed, head lulling to the side as your fingers made their way down to the nape of his neck. His body shivered and you felt a grin make its way to your lips as you noticed the goosebumps forming across his exposed skin. Eddie didn’t have the best rep — given to him by others, not himself — of being tough, closed off, scary. None of that applied to the real Eddie.

He was soft, caring, charming, had a wicked sense of humour, and loved to be surrounded by people he cared about. You, the Hellfire Club, his uncle, the rest of your friend group. He wouldn’t replace any of you for the whole entire world.

“Hey, hey!”

Eddie’s eyes nearly fell out of his skull as he snapped them open, jarred by the shout of Dustin’s voice coming from the doorway. You loved the kid to bits, but, damn, he could be loud.

“Lower your voice, injured man present,” Eddie groaned, squinting at the kid as you pulled your hand away from the nape of his neck. He gave you a small pout as you sat back down on the chair, resting your arm against his but turning your attention to the gaggle of children entering the room.

Dustin carried a backpack on his shoulders, followed in by Lucas, Mike, Will, and Erica.

The glint in Will’s eyes gave away how excited he was — I mean, the kid’s adored dungeons and dragons since he was just a little squirt and meeting Eddie, who shared the same passion, was beyond thrilling for him — and a genuine, warm smile made its way to your lips.

Steve and Robin made their way in next, probably chaperoning to make sure the kids weren’t wandering off in the mess of a town.

“You two stuck on babysitting duty again?” you nudged your head towards the two older teens, both of which nodded, whacking Mike’s hand away from the blueberries on the side table, “Hey, hands off. You want you dungeon master back in good health, yes? He needs to eat these.”

Mike backed off with a chuckle as you grinned, reaching over to help Dustin take some of their stuff out of the overly-cramped backpack. How had he fit so much stuff in there?

“Listen to the nurse,” Eddie smirked, wiggling his eyebrows at you as you scoffed, shaking your head and scooting your chair out of the way, making room for the group gathering around the bed.

You looked to Eddie, his eyes lit up and a smile on his lips. That real, toothy smile you couldn’t get enough of. He laughed as the gang made jokes, gave his dungeon master performance his all; acting it out, using voices, classic Eddie shenanigans.

You sat back and watched, nearly brought to tears at the sight before you. How loved Eddie was, how happy he made those around him. The person that he was, so heavily cared for that they were willing to leave the safety of their homes in troubling times just to come see him. To be with him. To aid him in recovery.

He looked your way, eyes damn near sparkling, as he ranted about something he had just done. You were barely listening, your knowledge of the game limited, but you nodded along anyways with cheeks hurting due to how much you were smiling.

Before he turned back to the match, he gave you a smirk, mouthing “I love you” with enough softness in his gaze to nearly render you weak on the ground. If the chair wasn’t beneath you to hold you up, you’d actually become a melted pile of goo on the floor. That’s it, that’s all. There was no saving you.

Recovering smoothly and quickly, you muttered those three words back to him, causing a light flush to creep across his skin.

“I love you.”
