Today's #BlackFriday post in the era of #georgefloyd celebrates the city of Atlanta's favorite all-star slugger, the one and only, Hank Aaron. One of only two players in MLB history to hit 30 or more home runs in a season at least fifteen times, Hank ended his career with an astonishing 755 home runs under his belt. Over the course of his record-breaking 23-year career, Aaron had a batting average of .305 with 163 hits a season. He is still an MLB record holder with most career runs batted in (2,297), extra base hits (1,477), and total bases (6,856). He is one of only four players to have at least 17 seasons with 150 or more hits, and is in second place in home runs (see above) and at-bats (12,364). Aaron was awarded with the Presidential Citizens Medal by President Bill Clinton in January of 2001. He also received the Presidential Medal of Freedom -- the nation's highest civilian honor -- from President George W.
