Full Moon in Virgo/February 19,19

What a day! In my opinion things have been lining up just as they should, even if not in the order or flow that I may have imagined.

Pulling for this full moon in Virgo was effortless and sure thing with the Sun coming into Pisces to, We are graced with the Genie card, the Nine of Cups. This is the picture we have been dreaming and asking for coming to fruition. Blessings and hopes and dreams being granted, maybe to easily? But be so careful, because the frog we kiss may turn into a prince but not one we thought him to be. He may be to grouchy or just not quite tall enough. Our plans are coming to pass, but every detail may not be as it should be.

 The Queen of Swords ask us to be way more certain then we have been. The Queen tells us that the buisness we currently have on the table could go either way but there must be clear execution and follow thru in order to get the job done right. Be sure to check up on loose ends and never wait to long before going to see someone in person, if need be. 

The Seven of Wands tells us of the spiritual battle that lays before us within the next month. Imagine a king at the top of his hill with new ideas and visions for himself and his empire, and there are all these energies coming to try to bring him down or kick him out the castle. Stand firm in your choices and convictions and with the right intention, defend your purpose and goals. They are achievable and with the right amount of thought and action, great progress can be made.

2018 year ahead

Despite my being overwhelmed by large spreads, I decided to go ahead and do the Wild Unknown year ahead spread anyway. I did this reading on New Year’s Eve, when I was home alone and recovering from an illness. The card in the center of the circle represents the theme for my year, and I pulled the Knight of Cups. The Uusi Tarot guidebook refers to this card as “Charmer, visionary, romantic.” I have to say, I’m feeling like none of those things lately, and certainly haven’t felt like this in a while. Maybe I’ll get there along the course of the year, though. I’m hopeful.

I’m still working on how to incorporate these cards into my smaller more frequent readings. My January card was The Star, and I love this card. It’s a big reminder to me that I need to nurture my intuitive and creative side instead of always focusing on the material day to day. I’m definitely not in balance here and I’m still working on finding harmony with myself. This is a wake up call for me of sorts. I’ve really neglected my emotional and spiritual self for a long time, and I’m realizing now what damage I’ve done to myself and my interpersonal relationships because of this. I haven’t been available to the people closest to me and I let the daily stress of life take precedence over finding inner peace. In a way, I feel like this card is a bit of a guiding message for my year as well.

As I mentioned in my last post, my February card was the Ace of Wands. This card has so much potential, and it feels like a reboot to me. Out with the old and in with something new and new intentions.

My two decks are the Wild Unknown deck, which was what I started with, and then a few months ago I got the Uusi deck. Both are lovely and I’m starting to definitely feel more acquainted and familiar with the Pagan Otherworlds deck. As for other resources I use while learning about my cards, I always refer to the companion guidebooks, Modern Tarot by Michelle Tea, and I often also consult the card meanings on Biddy Tarot. I like reading the different perspectives so I can find the common themes, which inform my own ideas about the cards.

Day 4 of the 5 day #FFSTarotChallenge @wortsandcunning . . . . . . The Magician. This card confused me for the longest time. I always want to see it as a "good" card. But over the years it has taught me to look further than just "good" or "bad." To go more big picture than I am normally comfortable with. I've always known that despite my relatively high intelligence, I've also had an equally high naïveté. And I'm comfortable with it. Obviously there are some things I just shouldn't know. But The Magician means WTFU!!! When I draw this card, I can't hide under the covers and ignore it. I thought magicians were supposed to be fun???? But I do appreciate him reminding me to look alive. Usually, means a storm is comin'...

I understand it's necessity for growth, but it's been rough. We bury things for a reason. Everything tells me I'm on the right track.
