“look, you have to really pay attention if you’re going to do this.” he starts, leaning a little more forward to catch her eyes. so that she cann see how bloody serious he was about all this. because this was serious business. whether she didn’t think it was or not. she sure liked to walk around the ship like she was more than what she was. he didn’t care if she was some lady or high priced hostage or what story she had told him when he had taken over. thins like this were always left to him. mat cauthon was always the one who had to drag everyone from the flaming edge. he hadn’t even signed up to save her from the last crew. light, they had attacked him on his ship and he had only had one choice and that was to fight back. so. he ended up with this ship, half a new crew, and this girl, a bloody hostage. it was the last place he wanted to be. but she had said that the price for her would be high. he could just hand her back where she went. but he knew better. he could take this girl back home all safe and bloody sound and they’d hang him, wouldn’t they? no one trusted mat cauthon. and maybe they were right not to. he didn’t do things for free or the good of it. so, he should just drop her off on some random island. sure, he hadn’t thought about the price on her for a few days, made sure she was taken care of. figured she must miss her family. but light, no way he was going to be a fool just because she was a woman. she was a bloody nuisance. wanting to learn, as if she thought she was going to stay. stay! and on his flaming ship, too. that wasn’t going to happen. touching his hand to the wheel of the helm of the ship he adds. “this is a compass of sorts. didn’t i say that three times?” - @shesdaylight​​

I had a minor epiphany this morning. I know exactly why I always gravitate towards to non-romaceable ones.

It's just really hard for a game to capture the feeling of these two idiots are in love but but either won't admit it, or don't know the other feels the same way. I like the slow-burn, I am a connoisseur of the chase, I want to spend 100 hours thinking about the time they almost admitted their feelings but didn't. I want them to be best friends and scared of ruining the dynamic. I want subtext! Innuendo!

But, in short. It's about the p i n i n g.

 In the kind night when the Starwake System is free from chains , earlier reunited with the she - fox in blooming joys ⅋ shining comforts , Micah had gently taken Ahri over to the world where it lives within the Starwake System's mind : The Awakening , a mental sanctuary built out of endless light to hide ⅋ rest when the real world would be too much for the small stars to live in while being misunderstood , mistranslated , all unloved . Only a very few folks outside the system would know such a brilliant internal world as the Awakening can exist ─ Micah trusts Ahri that she will be just kind to this world . With every bit of xyr cosmic heart , xe believes the she - fox will love it whole as with the stellaris system itself .

 Loving hand in loved hand , Micah walks with Ahri across the opening field . Full of cosmic life , the grasses glow in blue to purple schemes ⅋ the cosmos adores the vast nightly sky . There is no human disturbances or the endless burning . No shouting or screaming . Scattered shades ⅋ stained bloodlets on the surfaces . There is only light , love , as what the real world should have . ❝ Even to this day , I sometimes feel the world is afraid of me for who I am ─ ❞ What I am ─ ❝ I try to act ⅋ speak like a human , I look like one , but is it ever enough ? ❞ It will never be enough for me to simply exist ─ ❝ Even to those beyond the natural , as I am part sun ⅋ moon ⅋ stars , I am still mostly feared . ❞ IAMUNLOVEDIAMUNLOVEDIAM ─

 Micah glances away from Ahri , xyr gentle gaze on the starry sky . If she looks at xyr eyes closely , through the forming tears , the nature spirit will see xe is bearing the saddest constellation , what has always been trying to burn harder ⅋ brighter so that xyr infinite stars can be seen as hope instead of the deep loneliness . ❝ I know I am a good person ⅋ I know I deserve love . . . I know all that I was before ⅋ am now ⅋ will be , but why do I still feel I am not meant to belong to this world that does not love me enough ? ❞ Tears roll over Micah's cheeks , the sky above shifting to darker colour schemes , almost painful to seet as influenced by xyr crestfallen emotions . Ahri still holds xem .

 ❝ You are not unlovable . There is always something to love . ❞ Words of the deadly ⅋ wonderful beauty are given with warm love to the lost stars , everything about her is raw ⅋ real . There is the truth : You are always most loved . Micah stares down at xyr feet ⅋ deeply inhales , trying to survive xemself , trying to believe in xemself ─ I am trying so much with everything of me to remember that I am always worth more than the scars ⅋ stars that I exist in ─ I can always be more than my endless burning , my existence does not need to be of ashes ⅋ stardust ─ My hands shake ⅋ I let yours go so I can hold them , almost like I am praying , yet , not for God or any other deities but myself . I am asking myself to please be gentle .

 I am begging myself to please love myself more because I know I deserve to be loved by myself the most . I always want to hold the five years old me ⅋ tell her I am sorry the world failed us every single day ⅋ night . I always want to hold the fourteen years old me ⅋ tell him I am sorry the world kept hurting us anyway ─ I WILL ALWAYS PROMISE WE ARE NOT BROKEN AS THE MISUNDERSTANDING FOLKS ⅋ MISINTERPRETING STORIES SAY THAT WE ARE . WE ONLY NEED TO BE LOVED MORE ⅋ THAT IS ALWAYS MORE THAN OKAY ─ I hold myself tight , then I cover my whole face , soon breaking apart into a sob against shaken hands . Through the trembles , they keep clenching ⅋ releasing ⅋ repeating , self seeking for light , light , love ; an ugly language in shattered stars .

Drowning in white noises as the sky colours revert to lighter schemes , my body gets gently pulled to the surface ⅋ I sense it being held within the great warm embrace of @vulpesse , our legs against the glowing grasses when I can no longer support my own weight .
