Tara was ready to pass out, she was so nervous. You see, all her life the identity of her father had been a mystery. For whatever reason, Evelyn never told her daughter the truth about him or how they came together. Every time she asked about him her mother would shake her off and tell her he was ‘nobody worth knowing.’ Her coldness was enough to keep Tara quiet, though she never stopped thinking about him, wondering what he was like or whether he’d known about her. It was only recently that Evelyn changed her tune, finally confiding in her daughter about the man her father was. Or had been, at least. 

With the information granted to her and the connections she had access to, slowly but surely Tara was able to locate him. It hadn’t been easy and there was still a chance that she was wrong, but the only way to find out was to go to him and try. 

Her hands were shaking as she knocked on the door. If it was him, there was no telling how he might receive her. Something in her gut told her it wouldn’t go over well, and to be ready for him to get angry at her. Maybe he wouldn’t even entertain the idea and would send her on her way. Or maybe it would be even worse than that. Maybe he’d lash out or attack her. Her mom had suggested she bring a gun at the very least but Tara wasn’t like that - she didn’t seek out or enjoy violence the way her parents did. Or had. 

She knocked again, this time accompanying it with some words. “Hello? I don’t know if you’re home but I really need to talk to you, sir. I could tell you what it’s about through your door but I don’t think that would be the best idea.”

he had been given the file name and told where his target would be. but light, he had never thought that she was going to be it. that didn’t make any bloody sense, did it? he had gone and double checked it. but he knew, he never made mistakes on the job. he was good at it. surprisingly. that always seemed ot get to him. but he had heard it enough to know that it was true. so, he was right about her. she was one of them. he doesn’t like the taste of that in his month. he moves then to the bar to sit next to her. he remembers all the trouble that they had gotten into way back when. the two of them always in and out, marking up their own names without a bloody care in the world. but things were different now. would’ve been a nice reunion if he hadn’t known just how different things would end up being. he puts down a twenty for a drink, leaing a little towards her he offers a smile. trying to ease the feeling that’s spiked up in him. what would she do? would she be able to tell? he keeps himself casual. with an easy smile as he looks at her. “been a long time, hasn’t it?” he asks, trying to ease into a conversation.  - @lunarruled​

the kid who insisted he wasn’t a kid sat on the bench explaining to him that he had time traveled here. yes, he’s seen a lot of things. there were so many things that he had seen. but time travel? did the russians do it or something? it had to be the russians. but this kid - this guy was talking with an american as apple pie accent. not a russian. or maybe he’s a spy. or - he couldn’t get his head around it. not just the time travel. but this guy was claiming to be older than his dad. and that just didn’t seem to fit. he talked too fast and he said a lot of words like he was something important. but that didn’t mean - well, he had met a kid with powers. why not this? but it just seemed crazy. he thinks that dustin would get a real kick out of this. but the guy - he said his name was five. five? out of all the names? was that how they were naming their kids in the future? 

“tell me something that happens in the future and i might believe you.” he says, leaning on the table as he examines five. the kid that’s an old man, looking for a brief case that steve’s never seen in his life. he had gotten him an ice cream and he hadn’t wanted it. he had wanted something hard to drink. so he had cracked in something from his old man’s cabinet. this guy was pretty crazy, wasn’t he? maybe he was a kid from one of those hospitals. but how had he gotten here? maybe this was all tied in together though. it had to be. one weird thing happening in hawkins couldn’t be isolated. it all had to be connected. “i’m still not --” he hesitates. “i can’t buy that you’re an old man. where are your parents? do they know that you’re pulling this scam? huh?” - @ofimaginarybeings​

Why is it that whenever there’s a wlw ship, it’s always the same two people in slightly different fonts?

On the left of each we have the dumbass jock, and on the right the often wealthy book and/or street smart gf who’s always 1000 gayer than their significant other.

And why is the dumbass one ALWAYS the main character? It doesn’t even matter if it’s canon or not. Like how did that happen?

Is there a ♥️ missing after the "There's blood all over your teeth when you smile." option maybe (when Jax initiates a fight with the merc once they get released from jail)? Whenever I pick that option I get flirty flavor text for Jax for the rest of the demo, even though my mc has never flirted with him. Sorry if this has been talked abt before. Love the update btw!!

you must have picked a romance option by accident beforehand then to trigger the romance_Jax "yes" stat I have implemented. however, I don't like how I'm tracking romances currently and will think of a different way!

▷ use firefox, not safari or edge and Definitely Not google chrome;

▷ always use duckduckgo as your regular search engine. even w the extensions below you’ll see that none of them will light up bc duckduckgo is awesome and doesn’t track u;

▷ go to your add-ons and get these extensions (alphabetical order):

— adNauseum (fake-clicks on every ad it detects a bunch of times so the company's analytics will be all fucky-wucky and it will cost companies lotsa money)

— cookie autodelete

— decentraleyes

— disconnect

— don’t track me google

— duckduckgo privacy essentials

— hoxx vpn proxy (free, although limited, vpn)

— https everywhere

— localCDN

— privacy badger (redirects your trackers babey!)

— privacy possum (falsifies data so it costs companies as much money as possible)

— TrackMeNot (does randomly generated searches on random search engines so it hides what you really search for AND makes analytics all fucky-wucky)

— uBlock origin (superior adblocker)

— WhatCampaign (swaps out google analytics with fake shit, do you see a pattern? once again! the analytics are, repeat after me, fucky-wucky!)

▷ other add-ons that i do recommend but have nothing to do with tracking/adblocking:

— auto tab discard (closes ur tabs after long time no use, mend it to your own settings);

— bitwarden (one place to keep all your passwords, would not recommend putting Very Important ones like your bank account there but, like, tumblr works);

— dark mode (automatically makes websites dark, isn't perfect but it's nicer than being blinded by every Wikipedia page at 3am when you're losing that sense of existence and what is and isn't real anymore)

— firefox multi account containters (sort your tabs babey! give cute colors to your tabs, separates them from work/personal/shopping/etc.)

— google docs dark mode (turn off dark mode and use this one for docs, works amazingly)

— grammarly

— honey (save money, use honey ;))

— mind the time (keep track of how much time you've spent on a tab)

— reddit container and facebook container (two seperate add-ons but keeps your reddit and facebook stuff separate from the rest)

— reverso context (for my fellow bilinguals who sometimes Do Not Know the words and then there they are)

— shinigami eyes (it's a starting extension but it tries to hide transphobic and other anti-lgbtq+ stuff from your view. when you see something's slipped through, you can report it to them so they hide it from other users)

— simple tab groups (sort your tabs in groups with names n stuff)

— sponsorblock (also a starting extension, but hides sponsored-moments from youtube videos and makes you enjoy the content you're there for, not the 783rd hello fresh or raid shadow legends ad. it's user-driven, so be sure to submit the moments where there is sponsored content to help other viewers!)

— tranquility reader (if u don't want to be overwhelmed by all the functions on a webpage and just. read. the. damn. text.)

— unpaywall (a MUST for all students or people in research-driven workfields. read those paywalled items and articles! learning should be free! another option for this extension is 12ft ladder)

Waverly could be considered a flirty person to some. She was bold, she was friendly, and she went after things she liked. And she liked Gabi. A lot. It seemed only natural to her that they’d go out at some point so why wait? She had no problem orchestrating the whole thing. But Gabi’s reaction was different than Waverly expected it to be. Her ego had been ready for an eager ‘yes’ from the other woman, not hesitation and questioning. No matter, she could turn this around.

“Yeah, a date. You know that thing people do when they like each other. It could be something cliche like dinner and a movie - I asked you though so planning and paying are on me, you just have to show up and look cute,” Waverly replied easily. She moved closer to Gabi, amusement lighting up her features. “That’s a joke, right? Like, you’re totally messing with me right now... But on the off chance you aren’t... there’s no one more ‘deserving’ than you. You’re a snack, Gabs. I’m totally into you, which I thought I made pretty clear.” She laughed gently, not meaning to mock Gabi in any way. “Hell yeah I want to take you out. There’s no one else on my radar.”

“look, you have to really pay attention if you’re going to do this.” he starts, leaning a little more forward to catch her eyes. so that she cann see how bloody serious he was about all this. because this was serious business. whether she didn’t think it was or not. she sure liked to walk around the ship like she was more than what she was. he didn’t care if she was some lady or high priced hostage or what story she had told him when he had taken over. thins like this were always left to him. mat cauthon was always the one who had to drag everyone from the flaming edge. he hadn’t even signed up to save her from the last crew. light, they had attacked him on his ship and he had only had one choice and that was to fight back. so. he ended up with this ship, half a new crew, and this girl, a bloody hostage. it was the last place he wanted to be. but she had said that the price for her would be high. he could just hand her back where she went. but he knew better. he could take this girl back home all safe and bloody sound and they’d hang him, wouldn’t they? no one trusted mat cauthon. and maybe they were right not to. he didn’t do things for free or the good of it. so, he should just drop her off on some random island. sure, he hadn’t thought about the price on her for a few days, made sure she was taken care of. figured she must miss her family. but light, no way he was going to be a fool just because she was a woman. she was a bloody nuisance. wanting to learn, as if she thought she was going to stay. stay! and on his flaming ship, too. that wasn’t going to happen. touching his hand to the wheel of the helm of the ship he adds. “this is a compass of sorts. didn’t i say that three times?” - @shesdaylight​​

he rests back against the wall with a heavy sigh. he feels chills all over. and the girl before him looks a little small standing there in front of him. wrapped up in a big sweater, studious and determined. he doesn’t know what to do now that he’s responsible for her. he doesn’t like the feeling. the way that it tightens there around him. he looks around as if to see if there was something else with them, behind her. anything could happen. didn’t the strange happenings in hawkins warn her away? but he knew what journalists were like. ever curious. “all the scratching of the pencil on that yellow pad - did you figure it out how to get out of here?” - @ofimaginarybeings​
