during order 66, he found you at the temple, hiding in his room. he had broken off from the troopers, knowing he couldn't let them get to you, he couldn't let you die. when he walked in and found you, you were regressed and absolutely terrified. you had sensed his fall, and although it was to save you, you were scared, scared of the man you sensed he had become. but when he laid his lightsaber in front of you, showing you he meant no harm, you felt soothed, almost, and hesitantly crawled into his arms, and he held you tighter than he ever had

he loves having you in his lap while sitting on his throne on mustafar. whether he's on a call, having visitors, or simply just sitting, he feels empty if you're not with him. you love to look out through the windows at the lava and ships passing by, and vader loves to play hologames with you. often when people come in, they'll see him on his throne with his princess asleep in his lap, snuggling with your favorite blankie

whenever you feel scared or frightened, you seek solace under his cape, wrapping it around yourself or even hiding under it. while carrying you, he'll wrap it around you, carrying you like the most precious thing in existence

during the early days of your turn to the dark side, you were very unstable, prone to meltdowns and tantrums, especially once you moved into your new home on mustafar. anakin was very considerate and patient, despite having become a sith lord. he was still your ani, and he continued to be, being the same man who loves and cherishes you. he continues to bring you flowers whenever you're sad, snuggle you throughout the night, whisper reassurances when you're struggling, he's still your ani, the man you love, as you are still his princess, his precious star

one of the honorifics you call him is "my lord". youre not sure why, you're not required to address him by his title given your status as his partner, you just did it one day and it brought you comfort. vader certainly has no problem with it, he finds it adorable and loves it when you call him that. it's practically your cg name for him, and both of you love it

both at the fortress on mustafar and on the executor, there's a special little room just for you, filled with stuffies, toys, pacis, games, anything you could possibly need to cheer you up, calm you down, or simply entertain you. it's hidden so no one could disturb you, and sometimes while anakin is away at meetings, he'll come back to find you curled up in a pile of stuffies, fast asleep with your favorite paci in your mouth. your cg calls it the 'princess room', and he loves surprising you by adding new items for you to find each time you go in there

No True Pair Writing Prompts

So, for anyone unfamiliar, No True Pair is a community over on Dreamwidth that features fanwork prompts. From their community profile:

no_true_pair is, loosely, a mad-libs-style challenge. You make a list of characters, a set of prompts is posted that uses all the characters in different combinations, and you create works using those characters. For example, if your list contained Darth Vader and Mickey Mouse as numbers 2 and 4, there could be a prompt like "2 & 4 go out for coffee" or "4 invites 2 out for dinner, except..." and you'd write Darth Vader and Mickey Mouse going out for coffee, or Mickey Mouse inviting Darth Vader out for dinner and then going from there.

Now, if this sounds interesting to you because you like writing prompts, awesome! I made a spreadsheet of all the prompts available so far (383 prompts available so far, excluding round 10, which was a "by popular demand" rerun of older prompts). The community is super awesome and has an AO3 collection, so if you're interested, you should absolutely give it a whirl! I'm going to explain how it works here.

The Spreadsheet

The first page of the spreadsheet is the instruction sheet. It includes links to everything and explanations of how the community works. You can see the prompts by clicking the "tabs" down there across the bottom.

If you have a Google Account and you want to play, you should go to "File" and "Make a Copy" to save a copy of it to your own Google Drive so that you can edit the lists. (See below screenshot.)

If you do not have a Google Account, no worries! You can go to "File" and "Download" the sheet to save a local copy that you can use. (See below screenshot.)

Once you've done that, go to one of the tabs at the bottom to pick a round. I'm going to use Round 8 in this example.

The Round Sheets

The round sheets look like this. You have a section at the top for your character list, and then the prompts are in the bottom.

You make a list of characters.

And then the prompts will auto-populate with their names.

And you can pick whatever you like to go forth and write! Now, obviously, I'm an FF7 writer, but you can do any fandom for this community. Or OCs! They're very welcoming.

If you mean my header, it's this lovely Star Wars piece by Kirk Reinert, called "Vader’s Dream—A Visitation From Padmé".

Which also comes with this description:

"I wanted the general nature of this dream scene to feel very human, as opposed to Vader’s real-life loss of humanity, both physically and spiritually. Vader is dreaming of himself as Anakin, a fallen knight, in the arms of Padmé, who has visited this dream with a purpose and a message. There is an island of peace here, but also the feeling of unease and impending doom on the horizon. The dark side, sensing the presence and threat of the light, sends its minions to pull Anakin/Vader back into chaos and madness."

I'm very normal about it and don't stare at the details and symbolism of it at all.
