The young woman who'd been sitting two seats down from Robert at the bar for quite some time abruptly turned to him, as though at the urging of her companion, and smiled with her sharp, elongated canines fully on display. Once she was certain he'd noticed, her grin temporarily broadened. "Your friends are never going to believe you."

Robert started out of his daze, seeing as he’d been watching The Game on the big TV at Jim and Kim’s. Upon seeing the fangs protruding from the young woman’s mouth, Robert winced, thinking he’d probably been hitting the whiskey too hard.

However…those words… “Your friends will never believe you.” That sounded like a challenge. And Robert never backed down from a challenge.

He smirked. Well, this could be interesting. “They never do,” he said, swirling the amber liquid in his glass. Something about this…creature (for he could never call…whatever the heck “it” was anything more than some kind of animal) made him want to watch it, to not take his eyes off it. It unsettled him, like the morning after too much whiskey on an empty stomach. 

And he absolutely didn’t like that feeling. 

But Robert could absolutely play it cool. Cool was his middle name. “Haven’t seen anything like you ‘round these parts before,” he mumbles in that way he does when he’s been forced to make small talk. God, he hates small talk.

Sensing her loss of balance, Daring’s arms had readied themselves to catch her should she fall. Not that he actually cared whether she took a fall or not, it was purely an act of instinct despite his drunken state.

The vampire’s statement had left him so perplexed he had forgotten why he was annoyed with her in the first place. He shook his head, cracking something of a smile in baffled amusement. “Erm.... no? How in Grimm’s name do you crash into a winter bind?” Half-lidded eyes blinked, his smile lightly widening. “Y’ever crash a dragon through school though? First yer up in the sky thinkin’ you’re the hottest guy ever after then BAM, the rude school gets in yer way. Sooo not cool.”

“The only reason I’d be afraid of Moth Man is if he decided to come flying at me straight on in the middle of the night. Even then I might assume it’s a car and hope it hits me.” He gave her a questioning look at the mention of noxious gases. Though in the dark he wouldn't be surprised if she didn’t notice it. Lucien hadn’t even noticed the bats until she mentioned them. He looked up but kept his phone flashlight pointed down. His eyes widened at the sight of the bats and his mouth hung open. “Duuudde...” He whispered keeping his voice a little quieter then before. “I hadn’t even realized we were that far in. I thought bats hid like at the back of caves and stuff. Wait. You’ve tried?”

this is gonna sound ridiculous of me but have you tried turning it off and on again until it starts bc when mine was fried I used to have to do that a bunch a computer restart might be necessary with that too

Yes :’( I pressed the button and it won’t turn on, so I unplugged it and plugged it back in literally every single possible way and then the red light went off and NEVER CAME BACK ON. 

I think the backlights or whatever it’s called that light up the screen are what’s broken. I think they burnt out or some shit. Idk. It needs replaced if waiting a few days doesn’t help.

Lance didn’t know what that smell was - but he hated it immediately. The scent of blood and death mixed together, it was enough to make him visibly grimace. He was only suppose to be giving the others a lift to a shop - since he was the only one with a car, and somehow had been roped into going inside. Though why there was such a weird shop in New York he didn’t know. He couldn’t even remember what it was called - an apothasomething, and who’d ever just walked in reeked of death, his body tensing out of instinct.

Stifled sobs and sighs emanated from the bathroom, curled up into the ball was what appeared to be a cloak black, save for the two glowing green eyes currently appearing to be in anguish.

Cyrus’ face (or lack of) had always hinted at sadness, of depression… but harsh words from that woman had… it had hurt him deeply. He didn’t ask for this, didn’t ask for this life he was headed on…

He was not human, he was a spirit; a shadow in humanoid form. As he wept, pools of dark magic puddled and spread onto the ground around him. His Despair could hurt others as much as it hurt him.

“… what did I do…?” He asked himself in a shaky mutter, “All I said was… n-nice to meet you…”

I am very surprised you did not loudly challenge him to a duel and call him out. Because that sounds like grounds for a fight.

which? the creepy guy or the drunk guy? it was funny watching the drunk one try to walk in a straight line when the cop showed up. the guy couldn’t even STAND STILL. he was literally swaying and losing his balance just standing there!  as for the former, eh. too many people and I’m tired and had to pee.
