Hi everyone. I'm not dead, just tired.

I'm really excited to say I'm almost done with one of my requested fics, a Variago vampire au. I thought you guys might like a scene I had fun acting out and writing.

Hugo looked around and took a step in...

Only to be tackled from the ceiling as the man straddled his waist. Hugo's hands were knocked up and the man pinned his wrists with an unnatural strength, hissing.

Hugo zeroed in firstly on two adorable buck teeth, then the horrible snake like fangs that shone in the moonlight.

Hugo got a leg up and kicked him off and took out his crossbow, only for the man to pause and look at it from his place in the ground.

“Is that a dual spring crossbow with metal tip bolts?” He asked. “How do keep them balanced? As well as not use added weight? Or do you have a special aim for them?”

“Actually its more or less the fletch—wait…” He said and dropped the crossbow. “You can talk…and like a total nerd.”

The vampire made a face. “I don’t have to take that from a pervert.”

“You were in the open!” Hugo exclaimed, cheeks reddening.

“In my house!”

“Left unlocked by the way!”

“Well how did you get past the bearcats?” The man asked, sitting up.

“The bear what-now?”

As if on cue, he heard snarling in the distance, a loud and familiar howl joining.

“Okay, you are not on my list, I don’t need to take this, bye-bye Bluey!” Hugo said with a salute.

“Varian.” The man said, Hugo pausing to look at him.

Varian's eyes glanced towards the forest.

“Go through the river and wade in the water west.”

“What?”

“And when you come back, let me see that crossbow?”

Hugo scoffed and grinned. “Okay, Varian. Name’s Hugo. Get used to it?”

Varian smiled and they both looked at the open door, Varian nodding towards it and Hugo making his escape.

I need a Varigo villain AU. Like, I need these two sillies to be lowkey unhinged “eat the rich” mad scientist criminals bc they’d be such a power couple! Varian’s in prison, just kind of sitting in his anger and his cell mate is none other than HUGO. Varian tells him his sob story, Hugo’s like “oh fuck rich people let’s get some payback” and when Cyrus comes to break him out later, he’s like “we’re taking this emo twink with us” and Varian starts working for Donella’s crew instead of Andrew (bc honestly fuck that man)
